Five stars, 10 wags and 100 woofies for everyone at Oceanlake. First, BooBoo cat was attacked by a raccoon and had a 2" gash in his neck. I took him our vet in town where they sent him home with a gaping wound, un-bandaged and bloody, and obviously no pain killer. It was almost 5 PM and when I called the new vet in town, Oceanlake. Dr Jen was tending to two dogs who had unfortunately tried to play with porcupines, but if I brought him right over, the tech said, Doc would certainly take care of Boo afterwards. I did and she did. Later, Dr Jen called way late, around 9:45 or so, and took a half hour to explain what she did, why, and that I could get him the next day after she checked him over for discharge. He was very sedated, asleep, had a drain, stiches, thick bandages, and was in la-la land, but would recover nicely. He did. Boo was old, and when his quality of life was just too darned painful, she helped me through the dreadful time of letting go with love, compassion, and quiet reassurance. Not long after, I got a rescue dog, Mello, who *loves* his Vet and her helpers. We've moved to Portland a year ago, but I'm going to take the old man back in for a general, thorough physical and a general 'Howdy'. When you find love and great service together, it's impossible to just disappear if you can help it. Thanks, Dr Jen and your whole staff. (And, as I've often said, I'd rather have Dr Jen for MY doctor, but I just can't seem to grow fur and a tail.)

Finally the kind of vet I've been searching for forever! It makes such a difference to find a place that has all of their qualities show from the receptionist, to vet tech, to the vet. Dr Malter is so knowledgeable and honest. I've never seen any vet seem so passionate about my dog ever and it was just our first time there. Definitely will stay with this clinic.

Not from around here. When my dog had an emergency they took her on immediately and were very kind and supportive.

Had and emergency with my dog while visiting from out of town thinking she broke her tail/back. Not knowing what to do, I picked a random vet clinic online. The staff here was so helpful and was able to diagnose her quickly. After Jennifer (the Veterinarian) took a good look at her, she diagnosed her with what is often called, "Swimmers Tail" or "Broken Wag". VERY WELL PRICED VISIT after a full check up, nail clipping, and a supply of doggie drugs until she is feeling better. I trust this vet more than I trust the one in my hometown. They were very caring, friendly, insightful. I would recommend this vet to anyone who has an accident happen while out of town or if looking for a new place to take your pet. Thank You so much for your help! Trustworthy: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Helpful: 5/5 Timely: 5/5 Friendly: 5/5 Priced: 5/5

Outstanding vets and staff. Our whole family now takes all our animals here as they treat them like they are part of their family.

As a Local Resident for 30 Years our Veterinary had retired. We decided to try Oceanlake Veterinary from talking to other Resident's that had gone to this Clinic. Our Senior dog was having issues with her one eye and I had made an appointment for her to be seen. She also needed an update on her Rabies Immunization. The Staff was amazing. Our Vet for Zoey was Kristen Corbett, and both Assistant Vet Techs were super friendly Liz being one of them. The other gals name I forgot. But both helpful. Liz did a great job clipping her nails, taking her temp. Also asking questions of health history. We did not feel rushed through. Zoey's eye cleared up with a prescription and ointment. We highly recommend this office. So happy we went to Oceanlake.

My family had to say good bye to our best friend Ross. The staff always treated him with love and respect, even on our last visit. I will forever be grateful for the respect and love that they showed to Ross. Thanks for everything.

So my ferret has Insulinoma . We took her to OCEAN LAKE VETERINARIAN CLINIC. After the experience there I recommend not taking your ferrets here without researching and talking to other owners with the same issues. I have a pup and kitten that I haven't had issues with, but they tried to tell us that we should not put her on a raw diet or let her be around ferrets on a raw diet because the medicine she is taking will make her more pron to bacteria and she could die. This was not her intentions and what she says is not necessarily untrue. She could get sick and die from the bacteria, but getting her on the raw food diet would benefit her in the long run. Holistic ferrets, are research, and all the lil ferrets running around on a raw food diet and thriving with insulinoma prove it . I'ts understandable if you want to stay on the safe side and I'm not sure were vets can and can't get there information from. So PLEAS before taking your ferret there ask around and do your research. THANK YOU FOR READING AND HAVE A FERTASTIC DAY!

I simply just wanna give a very special and warm "thank you" to Dr Jenifer and her entire staff for the care you provided and for saving my Basset Hounds life. Beyond exceptional..truly ! You ladies are the best at what you do and it shows.. Big Hugs to all of you for caring and helping out my boy, Remee. Without the help and care you provided I know I would have lost one of my best friends. Also, thanks for giving me a very fair price knowing my situation. You have rightfully earned my trust and respect and I will highly recommend your clinic to anyone that needs vet care for their pet. I'm not one to ever write a review on anything really but I really feel like this one was necessary.. These are good people... good vibes.. and know what they are doing.. If you dont believe me just sit in their waiting room for a bit.. Every single person I saw leave that place had a smile on their face.. ps. Thanks for washing my sock.. Gonna frame it and sell it on ebay.. lol

Had to take my new pup in for some urgent care. Everyone was super considerate and helpful! Dr. Malter is great!

First, I am glad that most clients won't write a business off based on one negative comment. Many, however, will gain respect for a business when the owner responds to a comment in a pleasant and helpful way. Of course, that’s not easy to do when you pour your life into a business and someone bashes it online. My immediate impulse is to return fire. Praise Oceanlake for not being like me! I am so blessed to have Dr. Malter in my life. The care that she offered my terminally ill dog was amazing. It was such a comfort knowing Truffles was in the best of care at all times. Thank you, Oceanlake, for all you have done. Thank you for being you!

I am so happy that I traveled from King City to this clinic. Dr. Jen came highly recommended and I have had such difficulty finding a good vet in the Tigard area. I took my 2 yr. old rescued cat to have all her teeth removed as she has I an autoimmune disease called stomatitis which is painful and progressive and destroys gum and throat tissue.. Both the clinic and vet were wonderful, compassionate and my cat was treated so well and she (TaffyBrulee) is doing wonderful today This place reminds me of an old-fashioned country clinic with modern tools. Oh. and the cost was amazingly low. The person who recommended paid 2/3rd's less for her dog's surgery and I paid less than half. I would not choose a vet for cost alone but reviews and personal recommendations were outstanding. So a big thank you and I wish you were closer.

I have been going to this veterinary clinic since 2013. I absolutely love them. I have taken three animals to them and have had wonderful experiences. My cat Trouble had hyperthyroidism & Dr. Malter introduced me to new approach on managing it by changing his diet, which in end, saved me more money than paying for a daily medication. Trouble's TSH level was the best I have ever seen it once I changed his diet. Trouble passed away in 2015 and the staff at this clinic were fantastic with the process. I was clearly an emotional mess and they were so supportive and understanding with the process. I also appreciated that they sent me a card with their deepest sympathies and each staff member personally signed it which I thought was very nice. My lab, Lana absolutely loves going to the vet. Lana has allergies and Dr. Malter introduced me to Apoquel and I love it! The second I took Lana in, Dr. Malter knew immediately what was going on with Lana due to her terrible yeast smell. Lana has been on it now for a little over a year and has had no issue at all with it. Also, I love how compassionate the staff is with Lana. Most importantly, I love that Dr. Malter and the techs will sit on the floor with Lana and love on her while we discuss Lana's health. I can always tell that they love what they do. I fully trust this veterinarian clinic and would recommend it to anyone. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and professional. You can tell that the staff communicate well together. You know how much I love this clinic when I am willing to travel 25 miles to it verses going to one of the three clinics in my current town. :)

Just moved here and had a small emergency. Called up and was told to come in. Couldn't be happier. Found our new vet.
