Cant say enough good about these guys!! They were excellant!! The gals were so compassionate and so helpful...asking lots of questions and putting us at ease. Went in with our 7 mouth old bulldogge, Clyde. He hurt his hind leg and couldn't stand or sit without crying..poor guy! Dr. checked him and said it was probably sprained, no bones broken..sent us on our way with pain meds! Without a doubt these guys are a hidden gem!

We were in need of an emergency vet for our geriatric dog, and were referred to Cascade Veterinary Referral Center by our primary vet. Everyone from the front desk, to the techs, and the on-call vets were knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate. Unfortunately despite their very best efforts they weren't able to do much for our beloved pet, but when the time came to say Goodbye CVRC provided us with a quiet and comfortable space. And they even helped arrange a cremation service. Their handling of this emotion time was exemplary.

My dog was attacked by a wild animal and I brought her to cascade to get her checked out by their emergency services on a Sunday morning. All of the staff were welcoming and so good with her. Spent a large amount of money, in which we will be paying for a year without coming to solving problem. The internal specialist gave a lot of options without talking on recommended steps or if it was her dog. She was very evasive on her views which we could of throwing more money and ended up spending more with the same results! Our own vet called after talking to her ,he mention our conclusion.

We were so nervous about our corgi having to get surgery. The staff here at Cascade made sure to help us along the way every single step. Everyone recognizes her as soon as we walk in and we just know she's loved by the staff which makes us feel better about any procedure she has to endure. On the night after her surgery they even sent us texts updates with pictures of our dog. If you need to find a place who will love your pet while they fix any problems your pet may have this is the place to go.

From the minute we walked in the door to the minute we left, service was terrific.. I felt like these people cared and we're here to help. Dr Howard diagnosed a hernia that I've asked 3 other vets about who said it was no big deal, just soft, fatty tissue. He also suggested we deal with some more important issues before jumping into surgery. He didnt try to sell me on expensive surgeries. I would highly recommend Cascade Veterinary Referral.

Not only did CVRC provide excellent care/treatment for my little girl's unusual auto-immune disorders, a few years later when the time came to put her down they came through in a big way. Her health had been slowly declining but she was not in any apparent pain and still seemed happy to be with us -- until she most obviously wasn't! It came on rather suddenly over the weekend and once we were sure it wasn't just one bad day, we were forced to find a way to end her suffering on a Sunday when our regular vet was closed. I was surprised to see that CVCR was open 24/7! Since I had always made appointments during normal business hours in the past, I didn't realize they provided emergency care too. I thought... how nice to take her someplace we've all been before, rather than to a strange emergency vet clinic. We brought her in without an appointment on a Sunday afternoon and were able to get into a room right away. Dr. Hanna Shoen-Rieseberg was so incredibly kind and patient with us; she helped to make that very difficult decision/procedure as easy as it possibly could be. I was truly touched by her genuine compassion and gentle handling of our pup. CVRC is just wonderful and I'm grateful they were there for us in the early days and on that most difficult last day.

We took my daughters hamster here to be put to sleep as she was dying and we did not want her to suffer. My daughter was so heartbroken and she said the gentleman here was so kind! When they brought her sweet girl out to her in a box there were flowers on top. Will definitely bring my pets here in an emergency.

Very attentive staff. I had to take my puppy in on an emergency basis due to a chronic condition. The ER vet on the first night did an initial assessment and treated him for naussea and went home. The second night I had to bring him back, he did more diagnostics and took one look at me and said he should be hospitalized because he could tell I waa exhausted. The specialist took over the next morning and got the treatments he needed going. They are close by, a little on the pricey side but well worth it if you love your animals.

I can't describe how amazing Dr. Howard and his staff are. They saved my precious yorkie Angel. She was unable to walk and after a difficult surgery she is now acting like a puppy again :) They are so wonderful , I would recommend them to everybody.

They were able to diagnose our dog's cancer, which other vets were not able to do, because of the unusual nature of the cancer. So I would give them an "A" in that regard. However, their follow-up has been extremely poor, and their "bedside manner" towards us when we initially brought our dog in was also poor. The doctor was impatient and not very good in dealing with us during the meeting we had in which it was revealed that our dog's cancer is terminal. When we tried to press her for recommendations and advice on what we should do, she wasn't very nice about it, and didn't display the "caring" and "sympathetic" attitude that I have come to expect in situations like this. This alone wouldn't have been that big of a deal, but the follow-up with us has been very poor. Recently, we ran out of the prednisone prescription and had tried for 4 days to get our prescription re-filled, calling them repeatedly, but they kept dropping the ball and were unhelpful, until finally we gave up and worked with our normal vet to fill it, and we will do that from now on. They were good about re-filling the prescription promptly in the previous few months though, so with the one doctor replaced I'd be willing to give them another shot in the future.

If I could give it a lower review I would. Mind you I've dealt with CVRC before with satisfactory results. This visit on 22Dec required an overnight stay as my 14 year old cats heart disease was detected, on top of her kidneys already being monitored. I'm not saying they did or didn't do what they could. My problem is when we picked her up on the 23rd her matress was missing from her carrier, and when asked about it we were told they had missed placed it and would call when they found it. As I leaned in to greet my cat I noticed the smell of urine, why not just say she urinated on it and we're laundering it or tossed it? Upon getting home and letting her out of her carrier we found her whole back end soaked in urine, though the carrier was dry. They sent my cat home in this state! I digress, while waiting in the lobby we hear cat screams more than once not knowing if it's my cat or not who had iv's that needed removing. After this horrendous visit I will never again use their services, nor will I recommend them. I will share my experience with my community and all cat lovers I may encounter.

We brought our pet in around midnight because he was throwing up blood. They treated him fast and with care. The price was great. A lot less than I was thinking. My dog also loves them and didnt mind them handling him. He normally dont let people touch him. Definitely recommend.

They did a comprehensive exam, discussed options, and even ended up charging us less than the quoted price for the surgery! Our dachshund ruptured a disk and after our experience with Dr. Peterson, I hope we don't need them again but if we do there's no other place I'd go. The whole experience was pretty terrifying for us, pricey, and as comfortable as it could have been for our fur-kid. As someone who often looks for the least expensive option to get the job done, I don't regret a penny that we paid to have CVRC be the place where we had some pretty crazy spinal surgery. Not only is Dr. Peterson caring, thorough, and super knowledgeable, but all of the staff there were wonderful. We were able to call and check in during the post-op hospitalization at any time, and were always treated like the only patients there. The people in reception and on the phones were helpful and kind, and the whole experience could only have been better if we'd been lucky enough to not have had an injured pup at all. I called around not only the city and state, but surrounding states, and potentially could have saved 10 or 15%, but sometimes you get what you pay for and what we got was beyond excellent. I could write a novel about how amazing the all-around care we received was. Thinking of how thankful we are to everyone at CRVC brings a tear to my eye every time. If they saw patients for regular care, we'd drive the 40 minutes to get there any day. Thank you. PS: She's recovering better than we dared to hope for.

I was referred to CVRC because the vet thought my dog had a neurological issue. We saw Dr. Peterson and she was wonderful! Turns out he had a bad reaction to antibiotics and developed immune mediated poly arthritis. Dr. Peterson knew exactly what she was looking at and gave us all the information and medication needed to get him fixed up. She was incredible. Like another reviewer said, she got down on the floor and examined every inch of my pup. I feel I was extremely blessed to end up at CVRC. They are wonderful and it was worth every penny to see them. It could have dragged on and cost a lot more had we not met this experienced doctor.

Lightning, our 4 yr. old basset hound had a ruptured disc in his back, and within a week he was dragging his hind legs while trying to walk. After seeing our regular vet, we were referred to Dr. Sophie Peterson at Cascade Veterinary Referral Center. Dr. Petersen did such a thorough examination of Lightning that we couldn't believe it. She got down on the floor with him, and examined every inch of our little guy, and all the while not hurting him one bit. My husband and I (like anybody else who have fur babies they love!) were scared to death, and Dr. Petersen completely put us at ease from the moment we entered the exam room with her. She gave us all of our options, up front, and Lightning had surgery that very same day. Her surgical skills are absolutely the BEST!! And Matt and the rest of the staff were wonderful also. During his overnight stay, they always had a vet tech back with Lightning, and even turned on classical music for him when he got too nervous. While none of us want to see our little babies hurt or in pain, I can tell you that I would take any of our animals there, and trust them completely. They are the best! Highly recommend to give loving care to your fur babies! We were referred to CVRC via our vet when our dog tore his CCL. Dr Flynn was so knowledgeable, gave great advice, and listened patiently to our concerns. They offered a fairly priced TPLO package that included surgery, xrays, blood work, and post-op check-ups so we decided to schedule and move ahead. So glad we chose them to care for our pup! They claim to not over-pack their schedules and I can attest that the day of our dog's surgery he was the only one of the day! Reading his medical log, he was given so much attention and rarely left by himself (appreciate this so much!). I appreciate they are a 24-hr facility and kept our dog overnight, which I realized after is so valuable post-op. Dr. Flynn was highly skills, the staff was attentive and caring, and through all of our post-op check ins I was so thankful to have CVRC by our side through this experience. Never once did we feel pressured or nickle-and-dimed to buy unnecessary things. There was even a point 16-weeks after surgery that we came in with concerns for Dr Flynn to take a look at our dog and he didn't charge us for that additional check-up. Their facility is top-notch and I'm comforted knowing this incredible 24-hr veterinary center is right in our backyard.

I had such a great experience at Cascade! My pup needed emergency stitches for a deep cut on his paw. They had him all ready to go in a couple of hours for a reasonable price. When we first came to see you, Lucia had injured her knee and we knew that she had a neurological condition that would make her recovery difficult and long term prognosis more challenging and costly. At the time of Lucia's first knee surgery, you also made us aware us that, even under the best circumstances, Lucia would likely have the need to repair her other knee within a couple of years. With full knowledge, we proceeded with the first surgery and like clockwork, her other knee needed repair within two years. The results of Lucia's surgeries have allowed Lucia to live a happy, comfortable and normal life. Far better then we ever imagined possible and we have never had the slightest regret. As you know, we absolutely love animals and feel a special bond and responsibility to the creatures in our care. From the moment we adopted Lucia, we also accepted the obligation to furnish her with the absolute best care and comfort we could provide and we found that with you. Over the course of our relationship, you have performed 5 surgeries that have saved our now 14 year-old puppy's life. TPLO operations on both knees, the removal of a cancerous tumor from her shoulder, the removal of a stomach tumor, and the removal of a cyst from her head. She has recovered quickly and perfectly every time. Without your help, we know that Lucia would not have survived, not to mention prosper over the years. You have saved her life over and over again therefore you are the super-hero of our family and we call you "Super Howard". Again, we believe that words simply cannot describe our gratitude and admiration for your knowledge and skill. You have helped our family in so many ways. Every time we take Lucia for a walk, we think to ourselves how fortunate we are to have met you. Often, several times a day, Lucia will come to ask to be stretched and we think of you. Every time she chooses to sleep in what would have otherwise been an impossible position, we think of you with great appreciation. Over the past year I've taken my Bulldog to this facility for IMHA and other urgent care needs, and just because I was a panicky fur parent sometimes. The service and care has always been amazing. This past weekend my girl got a double eye infection and with IMHA I was so scared. They saw me three times and made sure she was well cared for. Our 14 year old cat who never had any issues in her life suddenly started crying and limping. So after a couple days and the condition not improving I took her to Cascade Vet. They treated her well, did a very comprehensive exam and found cancer in her spleen. We discussed options and decided it was time to end her suffering. They handled everything very professionally and caring as well. I couldn't ask for a better vet for Lily, our missed cat. I will go to them in the future when we get another animal, dog or cat. They are a great vet practice.

Is this practice real or did I dream them up? Took my million-year-old defective cat in tonight after he had what seems to have been a nasty reaction to some new meds, and they were so kind and so efficient and so effective. He was feeling like himself again by the time we got home. The cost was super reasonable, too. If I move out to Beaverton, this is my new every-time vet. So great!

We went there late with our daughter and her very ill and failing dog. The staff was wonderfully compassionate and the veterinarian on staff was very knowledgeable and professional as well as caring. Our daughter ultimately made the decision after much helpful dialogue with the veterinarian, to euthanize her dog. It was as peaceful and painless as could be and the staff was attentive and helpful in her time of distress. The facility is immaculate and regardless of your need to visit, they are certainly up to the task.

Our dog was hit by a car and due to a series of events Cascade was the 3rd place we visited within a span of 2 hours and the service we received here was simply superior to anywhere else. The Doctor examined Debo, asked the right questions and presented us with our options without making a whole bunch of nonsense assumptions that the other vets did. The price was more than reasonable for an ER vet and if we lived in this area I wouldn’t ever go anywhere else. 10 out of 10 from the initial encounter of us walking in to the very end. Thank you!
