A few weeks ago I had to say goodbye to my dog after almost 15 years. It was an emotional experience and I could not be happier to have gone through that experience at the Barbur Blvd Vet Hospital. We had not been there previously as we had recently moved closer into town. I wish we had found them sooner. Their level of professionalism was absolutely at the top, but it was clear they really cared. I really felt they guided me through this emotional experience and I have no doubt that it was the right decision. Assuming that we have another dog join our family at some point I will not hesitate to go back to Barbur Blvd Vet Hospital.

Great staff, efficient, and friendly. The in house Peppercorn Plan is a way to go since my dog is older and requires more visits. The plan really helped with my budgetary needs, especially when it came to random and unexpected Veterinarian visits.

I am so happy to have such a wonderful vet family so close to my home. Radar had a bad vaccine reaction when we first moved here and they treated him immediately even though it was closing time. Both our dogs drag us into the office and are so excited to see everyone, even after having been left for procedures. We give Barbur Vet five waggy tails!

I highly recommend their services, especially when it comes to preparing an animal for transport to areas with strict quarantine. Shipping my kitty to Hawaii had many hoops to jump through, but Angela made everything go smoothly. I really appreciate their hard work from preparing documents to applying vaccinations. 5 stars!

Wow I love the people here. They aren't my regular vet, and I was in a trauma response. My dog was in pain (though not dying, like my brain was telling me she surely was). They were great with both of us and really made me feel as good as possible in that moment. Give them your business!

These are the nicest Vet's going! My dog has terrible vet anxiety and aggression, and we had our only calm visit here. They specialize in worried pets and I can't express what a relief it was to me to have found a safe place to bring my dog. 10 stars if it was possible.

I drive from NE Portland to bring my dog here just because of how wonderful the staff are. Dr. Alexandra and Dr. Michelle and all of the vet techs treat me and my dog like family. My dog loves coming here because of all the attention he receives. They are also always able to fit us in last minute when my dog gets sick which both I and my floor rugs appreciate big time! I am so thankful for this vet.

Excellent service and excellent staff. We've been taking our Old English Sheepdog here for over a year - since she was 8 weeks old. Dr. Alexandra and her assistants are friendly, professional, and experienced - and their Pepper Club has saved us a lot. We can't imagine taking our little Baylee anywhere else.

Have been bringing my dog here for years and they've always been super sweet with him, lots of love, and they know him by name. However last weekend we had an emergent visit with an unknown infection and fever plus limping and pain. We called at 8:30 and they fit us in at 9:30 (on a pretty busy Saturday too), and took amazing care of our Winston! They were fast, efficient, caring and so comforting. They ended up keeping him all day and checking on him despite their other busy clinic visits. He ended up making a great recovery with the iv antibiotics and fluids they started, but what really keeps me coming back is this: the next day my husband went back to pick up some pain meds. Every single tech and doc that works there asked how Winston was doing. None of them were the same staff that were working on the Saturday we had brought him in. They just care so much about our pupper that they were all concerned and wanted to check in on how he was doing! Very professional, compassionate staff that love to take care of people's furry family members. Highly recommend to all my family and friends, we're members for life.

Although I am sad about the circumstances of my visit, I am very happy to have now found my local veterinarian. I highly recommend anyone in the area to bring their pets to BBVH. The staff is very polite, caring, and professional. They provide upfront quotes and are very transparent about their costs, which I appreciate. If only the human health care system was modeled after their business... lol. Surprisingly my dog Zarah, normally aggressive toward strangers, responded very well to the staff's loving demeanor. They won the heart of my dog, and for that I am a loyal customer. Zarah and I look forward to visiting Barbur Boulevard Veterinary Hospital for checkups under more normal circumstances.
