I met ken today. Not at an animal hospital. I met him randomly walking next to where he was doing conservation work. My friend and i were just exploring and i saw ken and asked "is there a trail around here". He gave us a good general verbal map of the area. His awesome pup was there with love in his heart. I was convinced he is a great person in the few minutes we talked. He even offered to let us borrow his canoe. So much trust and we randomly talked for maybe 10 minutes. In that short of time i knew he was a great dude.

Fantastic! Love Love Love this Vet! I have an overly rambunctious puppy that needed EVERYTHING done. I also needed help with training because the pup doesn't like food treats and I was having a hard time keeping him interested in toys. All Shots, worming, flea treatment, micro-chipping, and eye medication (from an infection) cost way less then I had expected! Doctor Fletcher gained the trust of my shy pup quickly and easily making the visit run smoothly. All vaccines happened fast and painlessly to the dog as he was to interested in the canned cheese treats (that I never though of trying). Micro-chip was also not even a though in Winchesters mind as it was being put into place (canned cheese people! It's like a drug for them!). Canned cheese laced Squeaky ball is now working wonders for his training. The Squeak get his attention while the cheese keeps him interested. I will be returning to this vet for all of Winchesters need in the future. Knowledgeable, friendly, quick, and efficient (which a mother of 4 needs)!

Both of my dogs are uncomfortable at the vet and one is not friendly towards strangers. Dr Glaze is great with both of them. This is the only place Coffey can go for care and not have a muzzle. They also made sure she had a soft surface to lay during the visit as she is an elderly dog. I am grateful to have a place my dogs do not dread to visit.

My partner and I adopted a dog this week and noticed in his SafeHaven file that he had been seen at the Albany Animal Hospital last year for a rabies shot. We called them to obtain the vaccination paperwork in order to get a city license, as is required in Corvallis. They told my partner that they “don’t keep paperwork from that far back” as they “see so many animals every day.” They then offered to make us an appointment to have the vaccination unnecessarily done again or to do blood work (both would obviously cost us money). Instead, we chose to see a local vet in Corvallis yesterday. They not only saw us for free, but when they called Albany Animal Hospital to ask about the rabies shot, Albany somehow “found” the paperwork instantly and were able to immediately fax it over. TL;DR: Albany Animal Hospital pretended to lose paperwork in order to get us to pay for unnecessary tests/shots for our dog.

As always, Dr. Fletcher has a special way with animals. One of my dogs is a fearful little guy and is a BITER! Ken took the time to sit on the floor with him, put on his tough leather gloves and played a while with him until "Benny" felt much safer. Then the exam went smoothly. And of course, Ken Fletcher, DVM took the time to address all my concerns. I couldn't imagine taking my animals anywhere else. All the staff are happy, gentle, and work together as a team. ❤

I came across the Albany animal hospital because I got a cats count voucher to have our cat fixed. When I called I received the most amazing customer service even though I called 3 days in a row to be sure. I kind of wish I knew the ladies names that I talk to you so I could blast them on this review they were so awesome. Also I found out when I called about a product called cherison flea treatment for cats that they said was working in the area and guess what it works so amazing this is two days later and our cat has no fleas and we haven't seen a single one in our house. Albany Animal Hospital is truly amazing.

Quoted me $380 over the phone, I elected for addition work so I expected a total of $425, when the work was done, the bill was $534. Was not happy and wouldn't have even considered them if they told me it'd cost that much. Over priced like crazy for a dog neutering and front dewclaws removal. Will not use them again, can't trust them to keep anywhere close to the price they quote. I'm sure that if I had taken the offer to have a cone collar, I'd of been charged for it too.

Dr Fletcher must give my dogs vip treatment since my dogs are in constant competition to see who can rack up the most vet visits. Lol but seriously...the doctor is very caring, No bs, he doesn't charge an arm and a leg for unnecessary services.he listens to your ideas and takes them seriously. As pet owners we know them best, and he knows this. Obviously his degree gives him knowledge to treat our animals but it takes empathy and compassion to really go above and beyond, and that is what truly impresses me about this clinic. Staff is really great. He's saved my beagles a couple of times due to health problems. Not enough thanks can be given to these every day hero's.

The staff here is AMAZING with both family and pets ranging from pug to beagle/cocker spaniel to toy poodle to golden retriever to tortoiseshell tabby to siamese/himalayan to our newest addition: Oliver. This little dude PURRED during his entire first examination. We couldn't dream of a better veterinary clinic where it's clear their outlook is in the best interest of the animal, not how much money you have (or don't have)

We initially brought our cat to Dr. Glaze in November due to excess vomiting. Unfortunately after several tests she was diagnosed with GI Lymphoma. Dr. Glaze and his staff were wonderful and answered all of the questions we had promptly. Unfortunately our kitty lost her battle with the disease earlier this month. Our cat was only six years old and I have been a mess over it. We are very thankful for the care she received and thanks to Dr. Glaze, we at least had the opportunity to enjoy six months with her after the initial diagnosis before saying goodbye. The staff was wonderful and compassionate when it was time to let her go and we could not be more appreciative. I would highly recommend this clinic.

I've been taking my senior Pomeranian and elderly Manx here for almost a year now, and if I weren't moving out of state soon I'd never go anywhere else. Dr. Burright is smart and compassionate. Dr. Fletcher is a pet-care guru and a kind soul. Dr. Glaze I've never met, but I'm sure he's a peach. :-D JJ, Camilla and I are really going to miss this place!

If I could give this vet 10 stars I would. I have been seeing Dr Fletcher for a couple years now for all my dogs. His care and knowledge is exceptional. He works with osu vet students and is amazing at what he does. He is the most reasonable and personable vet I've ever met. Truly loves animals and cares so much. Yet he's very realistic too. He talks with his patients and answers all questions. He's honest and up front when needed, very kind and compassionate. I can't say enough good things about him. I've had my Chihuahua for over 12 years, last year he was attacked by a big pit bull, barely lived through it. Dr. Fletcher and Dr Glaze took such good care of him and did everything they needed to keep him alive and comfortable. Even took my calls after hours to discuss the care of my baby as late as 9pm one night. It's been over a year and my baby is alive and well. He's now suffering from heart failure, separate issue, but Fletcher keeps me very informed and does everything needed to keep my baby well. I know he's in the best hands here. If you ever need a vet, this is the place to go. Either Glaze or Fletcher, both are great. I have a bit of a bias towards Fletcher because of the positive rapport he's built with us over the years, but both are great vets and I would recommend them time and time again. I live an hour away from Albany now, but I still make the drive whenever my dogs need seen because it is worth it in my mind to have such a great vet.

Their flea medicine for cats is $5 cheaper than what the other local vets office charges. The other vet wanted $20. The Albany Animal Hospital only wanted $15 for the same brand of cat flea medicine. It's been a very long time since I've taken a cat here for medical care but if I remember correctly, the vet sometimes did not charge me for a follow up appointment. He didn't charge my sister anything when he couldn't save her hamster. That was nice considering that the other vet my sister went to wanted to charge her $100 for declaring her dog dead on arrival. The vet here is really nice. I don't believe he's in it for the money like these other vets. I decided to leave him a positive review today because another local vet closed my account and refused to sell me flea medicine for leaving her a bad review. I think the Albany Animal Hospital is nicer. You don't have to have an account to buy over the counter items where as at the other vet office, if they close your account they won't sell you anything. The Albany Animal Hospital gives out better advice over the phone. They're emergency hotline is open 24/7.

My dog had a pulled muscle and he was limping for about a week so I take him here and the guy barely touches his leg and turns to me and says it seems like he tore his ACL and to fix it it was gonna be a surgery that cost about 3000$ so I take my dog home because the limp never really bugged him and I wait a few days to see if it will get better and bamm just like that his leg wasn't sore anymore and he was running around so my reason for the low review is simply because the guy had what seemed to be zero experience with animals and wanted to cut my dog open for a problem he was unsure of that is not professional care

I am new patient and was given incorrect information on the phone which led to me rushing to get there. Upon arriving I was initially told I couldn't be seen, however due to them giving me incorrect information they saw me and treated my animal! Human errors happen... it's nice to see a company stand by their word.

They do whatever it takes to make him feel comfortable, and don't just muzzle him and do what needs to be done. Took my dog in for possible uti, waited over an hour but I didn't mind. I understand emergencies happen. They offered my dog to be seen by another vet in the practice and discounted the exam. She was very thorough and didn't dismiss my concerns. Staff were excellent as well. Went back for a follow- up appt. after my pup was on antibiotics for a week and symptom free. Just had him see the tech, and received his vaccine for rabies. Will be going back.

I have ferrets and have been using Dr. Fletcher for a few years now. He is compassionate, friendly, and down to earth. His staff is the same. They are prompt, reliable and always cheerful. Dr. Fletcher is good with the ferrets, but knows when to send a problem out of the office if he doesn't know the answer. He isn't afraid to go do some research, either, when in doubt. Pricing is extremely reasonable, and the staff can flex their hours a bit to accommodate patrons working around a work schedule.
