After having a less than satisfactory experience at another local veterinarian office, I was looking for a new place to take my pets. I'd just adopted a kitten from SCHS and they send people to Westview for spay/neuter so I decided to give them a try. They have been friendly, professional and compassionate.

Our vet was out of town,West View got us in on a busy Saturday. We had an elderly sick dog and they helped us out with no hesitation. We are planing on bringing our other dogs here now for their veterinary care.

I had a very sick dog. We called for an appointment and they set one up for 12 DAYS later. That's when I should have gone somewhere else. We went another week and called again. By then she was totally lethargic and had lost almost a 1/4 of her total body weight. They kept her for 2 nights and gave up trying to get her to eat. They investigated kidney failure and said the damage could never be repaired, that dialysis would have to be done. So we took her home and decided 2 days later we couldn't watch her suffer any longer. By this time the bowels had quit, no eating whatsoever and she had quit drinking and urinating. I don't feel her care was as it could have been. I believe she was in pain and nobody even mentioned that. They decided later that she had a fast growing tumor and at 5 years old, she was gone.

Dr. Zimmerman and his staff are always very professional! I just had Chip Paul fixed and boarded at Westview. It was an excellent experience. They kept me up-to-date on his progress with surgery as well as sent pictures of him while they were boarding him.

Dr. Zimmerman and their staff return calls, come to the farm, and gives us assurance that we have a veterinarian backing mus up in "scary" situations with horses. They are knowledgeable, prompt, caring, and make us a Maple Crest Horse Farm LLC feel that we are important. What a gift to each patient. Giving, encouraging and caring. We have a horse breeding operation and Dr Zimmerman is always on target! We feel like he is thorough and accomodating! I am hearing impaired and their vet tech Laura take my texts to schedule appointments, ask questions, you name it! They also respond to FB messages which is a HUGE plus for me. We would be lost with them. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Nice place great vet, BUT dont think you can call and let them know your coming in a hour or two to pick up and meds and not have to wait around to get them when you already called .. been here every month for year and a half for pills call every time pills NEVER ready gotta wait around for them!!

This was the worst experience I've ever had at a vets office. Years later, and I still hurt over my dauschund dying. I will never get him back, this office is overly priced, and could care less if your fur baby dies or not if you don't put the money UPFRONT! No payment option was offered for the dog to stay the night, it was mandatory to have it upfront.. I left in tears, and tried everything I could to keep my dog alive! My dog died two days later. I would never recommend this office to ANYONE.

I recently had a dog had surgery and the dog went through better checkups than the regular checkup. I went to purchase additional precipitations for flea and tick and heart worm. The receptionist was very rude and said I would need to schedule a checkup even though they admitted the checks they do before the surgery was in depth than the regular checkup. I shouldn't but did another checkup. In the meantime I found a reputable place that provides the same exact precipitations for hundreds less than Westview. However, Westview refused to fax or mail the prescription as they advised they would lose the profits and required I only purchase from them. Westview refused to price match. I now will have to go to another vet that cares about animals so I can save thousands over the years. And to add, when I did a follow up after the surgery, Brandy Nuhfer, wouldn't even walk in the room. She stuck her head in, took a look, said everything looks good and walked out. She didn't ask if I had questions when I did in fact have questions. I also could hear the staff talking and was unprofessionally talking about how sweaty she was even though it was cold in the room. It was major surgery and they didn't care. Beware of their overpriced precipitations, refusal to fax precipitations, and poor service.

Love this vet they take care of my dog with most excellent care. When I lost my other dog and took her in to be cremated they sent me a sympathy card with everyone's signature that meant so much to me. Best card for your animals for miles

I just need my girl dog fixed so she won't get pregnant so they going to charge me $350 yeah right that's ridiculous I just called humane Ohio and it's only $70 to do the same thing Westview Veterinarian Hospital is for rich people only

I trust the Veterinarians at Westview Veterinary Hospital! They have been taking care of both my dogs and horses for several years. I have never had a bad experience with them! They are very knowledgeable. I think what sets them apart from others, is that they TRULY care. They treat and care for each animal, as if it were their own. And it shows! They take their time answering my questions, even if they are very busy. When I call to make an appointment, I usually get in the same day. Dr. Ryan and also Dr. Sally are both exceptional and go above and beyond their duties, promptly returning my calls anytime day or night. I highly recommend Westview Veterinary Hospital for anyone who wants to give their pets the best care possible.

I can't say enough good about this veterinary hospital. A card after I put my old girl to sleep. Talked calmly after our other dog got hit by a car and have great advice. Great care the next day when we took him. And a check up call a couple days later. A very caring establishment.

Called ahead letting them know exactly what was wrong with my dog and was quoted a price, during her visit a bunch of un necessary test that I wasn't given the option to opt out of were ran which brought my bill to more then double my quote. They were not willing to work with me at all with the bill nor let me do any kind of payments. Do not recommend anybody but millionaires take there pets to his place!!

The Vets do a great job, location is clean and well maintained. My dogs are comfortable there and staff is very friendly. It saddens me that trying to get prescriptions filled for my pets is a terrible experience. Using their pharmacy is much more expensive then other pharmacy and it take days to get it approved and shipped. Then I have to pay extra on next day shipping to get it faster because I,m running out. Sad to think I may have to rethink my Vet because I cannot get the medication i need for my elder pets when i need them. Should never take over a week. I should have the flexibility to use another option if I can get it cheaper (Foster and Smith) with out having to mail a script in. which is even worse.

Was here once a couple of years ago to have my cat checked when he became ill. They did a blood work test, and informed me that he had tested positive for FIV, then proceeded to tell me that I needed to have him put down because it was unlikely he would recover. I was devastated. I made the choice to get medicine to see if he would improve, as when they left me alone with my cat I did research on my phone, and found that it was possible for them to recover and have a good life. Between that experience and their prices, I don't think I'll be coming back.
