Dr. Roach and the entire medical staff are so wonderful. The clinic has always been accommodating when it comes to appointments and is very helpful with questions and concerns. After numerous emergency visits, my dog recently needed to have teeth extracted and without knowing ahead of time, ended up losing 25 teeth due to lack of medical care from her life before me. The medical staff took such great care of my dog during the whole process and kept me updated from start to finish. We are very fortunate to be a patient at North Royalton Animal Hospital and I am thankful for all the staff that works there.

We've taken all our animals to NRAH, back as far as when Dr. Bryk has the practice. When our little Squirt was attacked by another dog. Dr. Hechko and his wife came in at 2am on a Sunday morning and fixed her up. 12 years later when she passed me called (also on a Sunday) noticeably broken up. In April I arrived home from work to find my best buddy Finnegan had gotten tangled in bedding and strangled. The staff was as upset as I was. I got flowers and several cards from doctors and staff. They are wonderful caring people, plain and simple. No, they are not cheap, but when it comes to caring and quality of care, Dr. Hechko and his staff ARE the best and the best costs more! I won't take my pets anywhere else! Thanks for all you do NRAH!

They are all about the upsell. How many tests can we get you to pay for was the theme of our visit. Our dog is healthy and happy, she needed a heartworm renewal and a basic check up. They refused to renew one of the prescriptions unless I paid for a test and then tried to convince me it was a government regulation... After the conversation I had I wouldn't believe anything they say.

Great veterinary practice and clean facilities. Highly recommend! Having the pet daycare on sight is an added bonus.

We were looking for a vet that offered exceptional service and transferred there from a previous local vet. At first the "process" seemed great - happy visits, etc. to make it more "fun" and relaxing for our dog. Ultimately, the facility is clean and exceptional. Modern, up-to-date, etc. The staff and techs were great too. The vet that we dealt with most routinely, which was also the owner, does NOT share our ideals in how to provide care with an anxious, shy dog. He insisted that our dog was aggressive, a "biter", and wanted to medicate to dog to handle him in any way (or muzzle) -- of which there was NEVER been an attempt of that behavior whatsoever. Now, if you knew anything about our little guy, that is laughable. This isn't a case of "my child doesn't behave like that" either. It was utterly silly that we were not allowed to calm, pet, or touch our dog in any way during the vet's handling. I get it, policies are policies, but what horrible business acumen ultimately to insist upon that form of treatment. Would you let your child who was upset be treated by a doctor without holding their hand? Just not a good fit. I would recommend if you're looking for a fancy, modern facility that offers other services. Otherwise, I wouldn't. Ultimately it wasn't a good fit AT ALL for our beloved pup.

I absolutely love this place. We bring both our dogs here regularly and they are comfortable there and love the staff. Recently our dog Penny had eaten something that would not pass and we had to have surgery after consulting two different places. Surgery went amazing and we were constantly called and updated with her treatment and after care, giving us peace of mind. They took such good care of her and now penny is on the mend. I trust this place whole heartedly with both of my fur children and will recommend them to anyone. And for the price, you get what you pay for. They know what they are doing and I trust them more than any bargain vet anyday. Thank you North Royalton Animal Hospital!

This place told us that we needed a 1000 of dental work for our Pug. We got a second opinion and found out she was fine. They also performed services we told them we did not want before the visit. However, the staff is friendly and the place is clean. We had our dog stay there when on vacation and they text messaged us pictures to keep us updated. If you are on a budget, watch out.

I don't normally review anyone unless I have something nice to say, however I felt compelled to tell my story. I took my two bulldogs for a week stay while my wife and I were on vacation. We paid for one of the "Top of the line" rooms with "Temperature control" my wife wrote explicit instructions that my one dog has folds on her face that need to be occasionally wiped with malacet wipes to keep it from getting red and infected in the summer time. When we picked our dog up and one of her folds was so infected and red that she needed an antibiotic treatment. I asked them about it. They first tried to say that "I gave them my dog with an infected fold." NOPE! They then tried to say that "we did not give them instructions." NOPE! My wife is a journalism major and writes instructions for anyone pet sitting. I've seen her do this repeatedly for years. I then explained to them that any veterinarian clinic worth their salt, would know that bulldogs need their folds wiped. We even put wipes in their care bag. I asked them if they would treat her for this and they said "Yes for an $80 dollar vet visit." Keep in mind they're the ones who were negligent. I told them "We're done here." Meaning I'm not coming back. I then treated my dog myself and cleared up her infection. They did not offer me anything to rectify the situation, only wanted to charge me for something they had caused. It's common knowledge around town that this place is "Overpriced" and "Overhyped!" Save your money and go down the hill to VCA veterinarian clinic on York road! Much better for a LOT LESS! Medications are cheaper for the same thing!

My Johnson's American Bulldog visited here twice. We recently moved to the area and our one dog has absolutely horrible allergies which eventually turn into yeast like ear infections. The vet techs were amazing, they treated my dog like she was just another dog and happy to see her and give her peanut butter and all types of loving. The actual vet however... She was afraid of my dog because she let out ONE deep bark upon her entering the exam room. She kept referring to my dog as "this breed", "the breed" and implied my dog was in fact a pitbull terrier. Unfortunately, I have papers from a breeder stating she is far from a "pitbull" but most uneducated people don't see anything other than pitbull when looking at a more blockier built dog. So due to the immediate label of a pitbull and her ONE bark she let out, the vet was right away afraid of her. My dog visited this vet twice... Both times the vet didn't even get a listen to her heart and internal workings because anytime my dog did anything but stand still the vet would jump back as if she were some kind of feral monster dog.. Yet the vet techs or assistants didnt.. We then got onto the topic of what flea medication she is on. We stated that she was not currently on any (this is due to... Fleas not being an issue for us and when they are they're treated I'm immediately... And... Allergies. We would much rather only treat if they're an issue than run the risk of our dog having an allergic reaction to the flea medications in which she has done several times in the past when on a preventative) Due to the statement of our dog not being on a flea medication the vet was 100% dead set on my dogs ear infection and skin irritation being caused by fleas. Even though per allergy testing we know that she has allergies... Got into something she was allergic to... And her ears blew up. The vet refused to acknowledge that we were possibly correct and continued to state it were fleas. Though... Not that she would get close enough due to her irrational fear of my dog.... If she looked at my dog she would see there to be no fleas. The irritation would also got be localized to her ears only. So with these two HORRIBLE visits we've unfortunately had to start over on our search for a local vet. I'm appalled that this joke of a practice took my money and left my dog with a 'fleas' diagnosis.

I highly recommend NORTH ROYALTON ANIMAL SERVICES for their professionalism and refined skills when handling my beloved pet. Nervous as she was as a strictly indoor pet, their very kind, concerned and caring nature put her so at ease she cooperated beautifully through the exam and yearly shots. Thank you to the Doctor and staff, you're the best!!! Bonnie Potter

Everyone here is extremely friendly and does a good job explaining all of the various options in pet care. Very happy with them!

When we lived in North Royalton we went here as our primary vet. Way over priced. They charge 3x more for the flee/tick meds than or new vet. Good care but very expensive.

The facility is clean and the wait time is short. The techs and vets seem great, but when I brought my dog in for the first time for a wellness visit, they wanted to perform all sorts of tests. My dog will require eye surgery but they said he'd have to get a flu shot (required). They said they wanted to do an ear culture and he had an infection so they gave me 3 meds for that. Include heartwork/flea and tick meds. Add that to the bill. By the time I walked out of there, I was charged a lot of money. He is missing a tooth so they wanted to also do an x-ray to see if that tooth ever dropped and may cause problems later. They wanted to do blood work which I opted out of. As a responsible pet owner who has fostered pets, owned pets and loves pets and wants to save them from euthanasia and also free up kennel space, vets make it almost impossible to afford having pets. I would love to find a vet who is in it for the animals without charging owners an exorbitant amount of money. If you have disposable money, this place is fine. But for avid pet lovers/owners who are on a budget, I am not sure this is the best place. I won't be returning. They seem in it for the money and not the animals first. Sad.

My family and I want to thank the North Royalton Animal Hospital and their entire staff for the wonderful care they have given my elderly bulldog. She had severe skin irritations due to allergies as well as eye and ear problems. The staff explained how to properly treat and care for her, making us feel very comfortable. The staff and care we received was outstanding. We have taken her to many other vets, and none meet the standards that were set here. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone that is looking for top of line care for their pet.

Can not say enough amazing things about the staff here! We switched over from another vet and could be happier! Dr. Roach is absolutly AMAZING!! We've also seen Dr Hechko and he was just down right Awesome!! The staff there is always friendly and eager to help! They treat you like family and they truly care about your animals! I know alot of the reviews I've read say that they do alot of testing, but I can safely say that everything they recomend is for a reason! Perfect example, our prior vet diagnosed our oldest one with congestive heart failure and just kept pushing us pills. This is what made us contact NRAH. After they ran the tests, not only did they feel he did not have congestive heart failure, but found that all of that was because the poor little guy had horrible acid reflux! They treated him accordingly and he was a whole new dog! Truly cant say enough wonderful things about them, nor Thank them enough for all they have done for us!! Would recommend over and over again!

Let me start off by strongly suggesting you to not take your pet to this vet. We took our pup to this vet, specifically Dr. Beck, a little over 2 months ago for some recurring GI symptoms because our primary vet was booked up during that time. Dr. Beck ran a variety of tests and absolutely butchered the diagnosis. After running the appropriate tests, they simply concluded it was an infection without even considering anything else. They then decided to run further testing to test for bugs that were incredibly rare, whether they were simply looking for extra money is unknown but that's what it seems like from our standpoint. Long story short, the symptoms waxed and waned for 2 more months so we took our dog to a Veterinary Hospital and they made the diagnosis within 30 minutes using the SAME labs from North Royalton Animal Services that we brought in for the hospital to look at. Our beautiful dog ended up being diagnosed with lymphoma and we are devastated. It is absolutely mind boggling that Dr. Beck could be so clueless and inferior in his knowledge base to not have even considered the diagnosis that this vet at the Hospital was suspicious of right off the get-go. Missing a diagnosis like this seems like grounds to have his veterinary license put into question. It is sad that this vet is practicing veterinary medicine because he clearly does not have the knowledge that is required to take care of our beloved pets. So again, I strongly suggest staying away from North Royalton Animal Services if you want the best care for your animal. They do not seem to know what they are doing.

The entire staff at North Royalton Animal Hospital is incredible. We switched after being dissatisfied with our experience at another vet office, and we are so glad we did! The staff here are so knowledgeable and compassionate, and the care we get is comprehensive and thorough. The staff here give our pets (and us humans, too) such TLC, and they were so unbelievably kind and supportive through a difficult diagnosis and the loss of one of our pets. Their work is demanding and emotionally challenging, and they provide outstanding service despite all of it. We are grateful to have found them.

I have been taking my dogs to this clinic since I moved to the Parma Ohio area 3 years ago. They are incredibly thorough, they actually document everything about your pet and their lifestyle and really get to know your specific pet. When I compared them to comparable veterinary clinics, they are typically less expensive. They were also the AAHA 2015 north American veterinary clinic of the year! In my opinion they’ve totally earned it. Dr. Hechko is the owner and you can tell he takes pride in being a top notch facility where the pet’s best interest always comes first.
