Where to start, this place is wretched. I first started coming here a few years ago with my now husband who swore that it was the best practice in the area, maybe at some point it was the truth but definitely not now. To start off the visit I walked in the door was not greeted was not told to take a seat I signed in like normal sat down and was pretty much ignored until one of the receptionist decided that they found the time to look up over their desk and see that I've been sitting there now 15 minutes into my appointment time. One of the receptionist was sitting on the phone berating what I assumed to be a client about how it wasn't her fault that this person on the phone hadn't called in earlier and it wasn't her fault that their animal was sick because there was no more appointments available and now it was on her to find somebody else to help with their pet. She took the most condescending tone with whoever was on that phone I felt bad for them that almost made me walk out, the icing on the cake however was once receptionist was done on the phone she swung around in her chair to continue her tirade by belittling her fellow co-worker by listing all the stuff off that apparently she hadn't done for her and how she wasn't doing enough which I found very unprofessional. After 20 minutes of sitting up there I finally got back to her room the lady who took me back was very nice was very sweet with my animal this is what I'm used to from the staff unfortunately that must not have transferred up into the front area I see now that all of the normal faces have gone. Back to the nice lady that took me into the room she was very thoughtful ask me about my pet asked me how I was doing asked me if I had any other concerns and just seeing my animal for its regular checkup I said no apologize for the wait that I had up front and said that the doctor would be in just a minute with me. I then proceeded to wait another 20 minutes for the doctor to get in I understand it's just like a normal doctor's office sometimes appointments take longer than others so I wasn't going to take it out on the doctor but incomes the doctor I'm simply here for just my vaccines and some other test if they said that I needed them. The appointment was going well until I got to the part where the doctor asked me if I want any additional testing I said yes to a testing for heartworms and then I was told that because of my dog's age are really needed a specific kind of blood work apparently unfortunately I didn't have the money for it and this doctor made me feel like I was the worst pet owner in the world. This doctor basically told me I wasn't doing what was best for my pet if I didn't get this blood work done and if problem showed up later it could all come back to this and basically made me feel like because I didn't have the money that I wasn't able to take care of my pet which made me feel horrible. This doctor didn't know my circumstances this doctor didn't care about my circumstances all they cared about was they weren't apparently getting that extra money for me that they needed from me. I left that room almost in tears because that doctor made me feel like I wasn't doing best for my pet. Nonetheless we finished up the appointment went up to the front to pay my bill where I met the amazingly disgruntled employee that I had first heard when I first walked in the door. She was just as rude and condescending is when I first walked in there. How you can have this as the first voice and face that you hear when you come in this building is absolutely atrocious on this Hospital management. I don't expect overly bubbly or fake but I at least appreciate people being nice and cordial which you don't have here anymore. I only recognize a few faces anymore but now I can understand why this environment seems very toxic and very belittling to anybody who wants to work here. I've come here for many years but will not be returning this experience has broke me and I will not be coming back. I hope you take these reviews to heart because you need some major overhaul.

I've been taking my cat, Chaplin, to Miami Valley Animal Hospital for 15 years! They have always taken great care of him. The staff is very warm and they genuinely care about their little patients. I know Chaplin's long, happy life has been in part contributed to by this place.

They were very accommodating for the fact we have a very loud pitbull puppy who hasn't had much human or canine interaction. They let us wait in their employee break room which helped our boy Comet from getting too scared or excited. They also hooked us up with a crazy good pet plan so we can get him all his shots, get him neutered, & start his heartworm medication. They treated our Comet very well & we will be returning.

I'm not sure what has happened at Miami Valley Animal Hospital, but the front desk staff has changed in the past month and are horrible to work with. They are rude, unfriendly, non-compassionate, and down right mean. I've taken my dog there for over 14 years, had to put him to sleep, and rescued another dog. When I've taken this new dog in for appointments, the front desk isn't friendly, when I call with questions, they've been rude. I won't be using this vet any longer.

Excellent service! Rabbits, dogs, cat, we take them all to Miami Valley. Update 6/2016, had to put two pets down (due to age) and they handled the entire process perfectly, expressing kindness and solitude while the children and I grieved. They also took the time to ensure we knew exactly what our options were and what to expect. My vet of choice!

I can’t recommend them enough! I noticed my pup had a nail grown into her paw on a Sunday evening. I called first thing Monday morning and got a new patient appointment at 10:30. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I wasn’t pressured to feel like I had to have other checks or procedures done and I was never made to feel any less than they’re most loyal patient. Their true concern is only on the pets and getting them better. We were in and out in no time and it was so affordable! We will be long time patients from now on!

We visited a few other vets before finally finding MVAH with our last dog. Each doctor we saw was exhibited care and expertise and I always felt that they took all the time we needed to explain things-- even calling afterwards to follow up and answer any other questions. Even when it came to the end of my pup's life, they sent me a personal card signed by the staff and, while, I the whole thing was terrible, I appreciated their sympathy and care and I know my next pet will be a patient of theirs.

I had an appointment for 8:45AM I was 8 minutes late to have my Bichon looked at. I live in New Carlisle that is North of Huber Heights. I was asked to make another appointment. My Bichon first went to MVAH 12 yrs ago for a few years. I won't visit them again.

I take my puppy here and I love it! The staff greeted us when we walked in and helped keep myself and my puppy calm as we were both nervous about our first trip to the vet. It was very clean, everyone was professional and they are happy to help with anything you have questions about. They also have an amazing PAW program that makes your visits and procedures affordable. This program allows you to pay a set monthly price and it covers the basics to ensure your pet's health. Highly recommend this place for first time pet owners and anyone else who wants quality healthcare for their fur-babies.

Dr. Armor is amazing! She loves the animals and makes you feel good about being a pet parent. We take our dogs and ferrets to her. The staff is friendly and professional. My whole family, mom, daughter, and my self go here. I’ve recommended them to several friends. A couple years ago we had to say goodbye to a beloved Frenchie and they took care of the whole family during that difficult time. I highly recommend them for all you animal family members.

Horrible, my poor little pup was sick and you could tell it was his time so we called to put him down they said we should wait but we didn’t want to. The lady said she would call back and never did. Because of them our poor little pup that wasn’t even two had to go through a slow and painful death last night cause they refused to let us put him down. We just wanted him to go peacefully and now we can’t have that. We will never in our life’s step a foot in this vet again. This place doesn’t even deserve a one star.

If you want a full-service vet, then go here. The entire staff is dedicated to the well-being of your furry friends and they have great compassion and kindness for you as an owner. The clinic is spotless and animal friendly. I highly recommend investing in the PAW plan. I have found it to be so helpful in defraying costs. I have always taken my pets here since the 1960's.

So I am revising my review. After an unfortunate experience with one of the vet techs, I took two months to get over it. I was very upset. I returned to proceed with the surgery for my dog who was in need to a dental cleaning and tooth extraction. I was very pleased with the new vet tech who took care of me. She was kind and understanding when asking me all of those difficult questions regarding my pet being unconscious. She made me feel like she cared about my dog as much as I do. She also kept me up-to-date on his progress and then called the following day to check-up. I am elated with the new gal and hope the previous experience was just an isolated incident.

I've been a customer for more than 2 decades. MVAH is awesome. They are very caring and very professional. They've been there for me through a death of my dog and saved my dog now, a miniature Goldendoodle 's life. I wouldn't think of taking my pets anywhere else. I know that this staff is going to treat my pet like it's their own. For that, I'm very grateful. Dr. S. Leckband is one of the greatest vets i know and Romeo LOVES her so much! I will never recommend these guys. Office manager was absolutely rude, they won't work with you on anything. They will do blood work for a surgery, never call you back to set up plans, then 3 months later act like you are the one who dropped the ball. Sitting in their waiting room I witnessed them turn a dog away who had been bitten by a rabid animal (an emergency) bc they said the doctor didn't have time for them that day...... This has been the absolute worst experience with a Vet I have ever had. The office manager Greg was so rude, he reduced me to tears. Despite all the horrible treatment and the ridiculous wait time for call backs they are still forcing me to pay for services I will never even receive. If I could give less than a star I would.

Their staff and services are really great, however they are somewhat expensive. They don't offer multipet discounts and their medication prices are three to four times as much as other veterinarians. You can't seem to leave there without a bill over 100 or more dollars.

I have never needed to go to another veterinarian my whole life. I've taken every pet I've owned (I'm 35- my parents took our animals here as well) to MVAH. They always have an appointment to meet my needs. I always recommend their office to anyone I know who has a pet and needs any care for their pet. Dr. Watts was always my first pick in vet care. Recently a few years ago our family needed to see a different vet. We met Dr. Leckband and have seen her since. I'm always greeted kindly, my animals are always loved on (which I love), get taken on time, and always comfortable with the level of care my animal has received. We recently added a new puppy to our family and we joined the Paw Plan which is an annual wellness plan for our puppy. We save money by joining this and never have to worry about her being covered for her wellness needs. I've already saved money and she's 13 weeks old! Their facility is immaculate and well laid out. I could never imagine taking my pets elsewhere. Highly recommend them. You will not regret it!!

I have been going to this office for many years with my dog who is now 19 years old. The staff is very cordial and friendly. The unfortunate thing is that the vet that always treated him has retired and I have seen a couple of the new vets weren't as courteous and observant to my dog's health. They were rude and judgemental saying things like I possibly wasn't feeding him as much as I should. The last time I took him in the vet I saw was much better than the previous one and took more time with him and didn't just try to rush us.l

In all the years I've had pets, no matter where I lived, this staff tops the charts. Their friendly demeanor has won my dog's heart. She has never been afraid to go to the vet. The waiting area is nice & clean. It doesn't smell of animals when you open the door. The wait time us very minimal. Their are technicians available for consult. The hours are convenient, remaining open until 7 pm M-F and Sat. am. Parking is FREE. I did respond to a question that it wasn't. I misread the question and don't know how to edit that. There is another human hospital whose name is Miami Valley Hospital I mistook the question for it in my haste.
