My daughter already said what happened to Brody at the hands of these barbarians. The callous indifference to the suffering to both him and our family is indefensible. I and another beloved pet was subjected to the same horrific treatment by another vet in Kansas over 20 years ago only mine convulsed off the table. Every other vet I have checked with said that is the reason this uncaring practice was stopped and the two shot method adopted. Don't use these people for anything if you value the health and welfare of your pets and family. We will be haunted by this tragedy forever, don't take the risk.

Clinic has been completely remodeled and the staff is so loving toward my dogs! Dr. Kim saved both of our pets lives on two different occasions. One incident occurred at midnight and she was at the clinic in less then 15 minutes to meet us and do x-rays and the emergency fee wasn't expensive at all! Recommend her highly!

I am very disappointed by the treatment I received when I brought my puppy to take it for one thing and the sick woman with another one when applying a medication that gave her an allergic reaction, to which Dr. Tim replies that he does not know what he has , I find a lack of professionalism his answer because he is the one who should know. and not to mention the lousy staff qualified him with 1 star because I have to put some but if they ask me I give it a 0

I just had my first vet experience being a first time owner to a lab. I was so nervous when I got there that I was physically shaking. I happened to show up when they were all coming back from lunch and several of them asked me if I needed help (I am also currently on crutches). They were so awesome, took my puppy out and brought him. Everyone was so nice starting with the front desk, the Dr's assistant and the Dr., himself. After I was there for a few minutes all of my anxiety went away and I felt like I made a really good choice when picking which vet clinic to use. I thought they were all very polite, knowledgeable and super helpful! Thank you to the entire staff who helped me and my puppy!

Hands down the best and most compassionate vets around while still being affordable. Last year my dog swallowed a corn cob and bottle nipple they were absolutely wonderful and met me at the clinic after hours they were very polite and amazing with my dog. My entire family has been using this clinic since before I can ever remember and I can't imagine putting my animals lives in the hands of anyone other than them!

It was our first time there and the Vet and while staff were all very friendly to our fur baby. They made sure to treat her carefully and friendly. The Veterinarian made sure to explain everything to us and answered all questions. We will definitely come back.

Got my cat fixed there earlier today. In the care sheet it states that they gave me a cone for my cat but they did not. Now my cat is biting at it's cut and when I called they told me to just put a pair of my boxers on it. I don't know what's worse. Them thinking a grown mans boxers will fit on a 4 1/2 pound cat or me paying 127 dollars for neutering and shots and them not even giving me what the sheet says I should have been given to insure my animal heals properly.

We had to take our 12 year old golden retriever in. They discussed our options before, with my dad, myself, and my brother (my brother and I sobbing). We decided we would let them "take care of her" (their original words) as it may be too hard to take her body from the office afterwards. So everything went ok (as ok as possible in that situation), until as we were leaving one of the girls said "we talked before, right, we're just going to dispose of her?" DISPOSE of?? I was livid. We left but I couldn't get over the mental picture that girl had painted of them tossing our beloved family member in the trash to DISPOSE of her. So we went back and got her to bury her properly with some respect. Luckily I no longer live in town and don't have to opt to change vets. When I do have my younger dog in town we go to State Ave vet. Because they don't want to dispose of my family members. This was a horrible experience piled on top of an already terrible day and they made it so so much worse. I'd never recommend them for so much as a hamster.

This vet clinic is by far the best in the area! Dr. Brummind is upfront, straight, forward, and to the point... and I love that. Not to mention the staff is wonderful! Dr. Brummind has been there for me in several different situations.... When I found my puppies abandoned on the side of the road, I took them to her right away. She helped me get them the proper care and shots and even talked to me about whether I had the means to care for them or not. I was undecided at the time so she went through options with me to help me find them a nice home. In the end I decided to keep them. It is evident that she has the animals best interest at heart! Fast forward 6 months, my youngest kept getting warts on her tounge as some puppies do. DR. Brummind didn’t have time to see my dog but she squeezed her in really quick as I was very concerned. She told me it was no big deal and removed them right there. I was charged $25. I could not believe it! Another 4 months down the road, my pup had more warts on her tounge. The soonest I could get her in at West Dakota was two weeks down the road. I made the mistake of taking her to State Ave. instead to get her in quicker. Not only did they not remove the warts because they told me she would need to be put under and have a small surgery, but I was charged $100 just for the vet visit. When I asked how much the surgery would cost, I was told $900. I told them hell no. West Dakota Vet clinic will always have my loyalty!!!

The prices are great there to take care of it for babies they are so helpful at figuring was it to help pay if your strapped in an emergency. They were professional and sweet at the same time and not stressing to take a minute out to talk to you about your fur baby. Most of all they were able to see I was worried about my kitty and let me talk to her before she went in for surgery. I will be taking all my fur babies there! Thanks guys!

The veterinarian at this clinic, Dr. Kimberley Brummond, saved our dog's life. She is incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond for our dog and our family. Our dog Moose was brought into her clinic with swelling in his front leg which turned into septicemia (blood poisoning). He was with Dr. Brummond for four days, and we weren't sure he would make it at all. Fortunately for us, Dr. Brummond knows what she is doing and knew exactly how to treat Moose to allow for a speedy recovery. She also called us herself two times a day (we were in Minnesota) to update us on his condition. Needless to say, we wish this vet was closer to our house so we could always take our dog there. Excellent job Dr. Brummond!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! We are new to the area and had to take our best friend in to be put to sleep. He was 14, the most gentle soul. They told us it would be peaceful. They did not admisnter the first shot of anesthesia to calm him and make him pain free. They rushed in and gave him the overdose shot to stop his heart. He went in pain. he screamed and his body contorted so badly and his eyes... He did not go peacefully. It was the most traumatic thing I've ever seen. These guys are not professional. Please please please, if you care about your pet, Do not take them in here. They were horrible to my best friend. I feel so terrible. My wife, son and I now have to remember him as what we saw in his final moments of fear and pain, instead of the kind loving gentle Husky we loved so much for so many years. Please do not go here.

We had an emergency while traveling and needed immediate care for our 10 year. old bullmastiff. Dr. Janke was so kind to see us right away. He was so thorough in his exam and diagnosis. He took the time needed to give us the information and care instructions in order to take care of our canine family member. Wish we lived in Dickinson so we could always go to Dr. Janke and West Dakota Vet for care.

If I could give a zero I would. My gentle sweet husky had to be put to rest and unfortunately we made the mistake of taking him to this terrible place. After talking with our vet we used to take him to, in a different state, we discovered that what this vet did to our loved one was wrong, inhumane, and cruel, not only to him but to us. Most vets are kind enough to give 2 shots, one to put him to sleep so no pain is felt and then another to stop his heart. The first shot was not administered. A tech we hadn’t met came in asked if we were ready, shaved his leg and within a minute he was gone. And not in the peaceful way we were told it would happen but in a terrible way that I now can’t get out of my head. He jerked and convulsed and his eyes were sucked into his head. They said he didn’t feel anything but how can they be sure. It was the worst, saddest thing I have ever witnessed and it was not the way this sweet, gentle, old soul should have had to leave this world. Please don’t take your pets here. I can’t imagine there is a worse vet.

What a pleasant experience! From the greeting at the reception desk to the marvelous care in the Equine center. Dr Erica was so informative and gentle.
