ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING! Dr. Teresa is my Hero! Her team is amazing and I cannot believe I even considered going to another vet. I will never consider changing vets again. My cat Pandora had done something to her paw causing it to swell to twice it's normal size. The next morning I went to the vet closest to me, that my parents trusted to their animals. They wouldn't help me! And wouldn't even help me find someone would could! I called FIVE other vets before I remembered Dr Teresa was Pandora's most recent Vet before my move. I called them and I was in a panic at this point to put it mildly. I was late for work already and still had no options for my baby. The girl who answered the phone (I'm sorry I forgot her name in my panic) was amazing, she was kind and understanding and concerned for Pandora. She told me they were busy- explaining why - but that they DID have an appointment for the next day. However, I work two jobs, which I explained it was hard for me to find time to get Pandora to places, and this was an unplanned emergency situation - the girl understood this was a concern so she told me to bring Pandora in anyways and they could take her to watch her, care for her while I was at work. IF they could fit her in during the busy day, they absolutely would take a look at her paw. If not, she could spend the night and they would put her in the 12noon appointment the next day. I was THRILLED with this solution rather than being told AGAIN that I was on my own with this problem. These people are SO AMAZING. They know the meaning of caring. They not only treated Pandora same day and let me pick her up after work, but they made a really stressful situation effortless. They not only cared for my sweet baby girl they calmed me down in the process with kind words and a quick solution. THANKS SO MUCH! You've earned my loyalty and I will recommend you to ANYONE who loves their pets. YOU ARE ROCKSTARS!!!

Dr. Teresa has been caring for my furkids for 5+ years. I've followed her with my "kids" and have complete confidence in her abilities and knowledge. The team at RCAH is excellent from check in to check out. Fees for services are reasonable and the location off the beltline is convenient. Dr. Hodinka recently joined the staff bringing with him his knowledge and skill with exotic pets.

Dr. Teresa is a very kind and caring vet. All her staff are courteous, knowledgeable, and caring. I just had to have her put my 14 yr old dog to sleep due to failing health. Everyone present that day was extremely compassionate. I was allowed to spend as much time with my dog before and after. I have been bringing my dog here for both vet care and to attend daycare for over a year and have never had a bad experience. Dr T herself is the most honest and straightforward vet I've ever been to, she is compassionate while still being to the point. She doesn't try to milk your wallet like other vets in the area; there's never a doubt in my mind if she tells me my dog needs something that he really does. A vet can be extraordinary but that doesn't mean anything without a great team behind them. The entire staff at RCAH is AMAZING. You can tell that they are all there because they really love animals and what they do. You'll never encounter a grumpy attitude or someone who looks like they would rather be anywhere else but at work. I can't recommend this place enough!

Unfortunately, our first experience with Dr. T & staff was under dire circumstances and we ended up having to put our 12 year Staffordshire Terrier down after a freak accident. However, due to the customer service, professional care and compassion we experienced, we will never go anywhere else! Since then, we have brought in a stray kitten that had 2 injured back legs and just last week my 11 yr old black lab had several teeth extracted. RCAH has been the best animal hospital we have ever used. Adopting a rescue was a new experience for us and Dr. T and her staff made things extremely easy and simple. They just answer all our questions and recommend the best possible care for our lab mix. The service was wonderful. I took my cat in for a small issue, and the vet techs and veterinarian spent so much time with me checking up on her and thoroughly answering all my questions. They even emailed me a couple days later asking on how my pet was doing. Prices were also fair which is important in seeking animal care.

I had been going to a different vet for over 20 years when I realized they were extremely expensive in comparison to other area clinics. A vet tech I knew recommended Dr. T and I couldn't be more pleased. The facility is nice and clean, you typically don't have to wait long to be seen, and Dr. T is no nonsense in telling you what you need to know. She is compassionate and wants to make the right decisions for you and your furry family members. The staff are awesome and will do whatever they can to make your visit easy and stress-free. Prices are much better than what you normally see so close to being inside the beltline. I highly recommend checking them out if you're in the market for a new vet!

I switched from Quail Corners Animal Hospital because of the reviews and the affordability. During my first visit I inquired about the price to get my dogs anal glands expressed, a procedure that they require monthly. I was told by the assistant that the cost was $10. I brought my dogs in today for the procedure and was charged $20. I advised the assistant cashing me out of the price that I was quoted. She told me that it’s $10 as an add on to grooming. Then she asked me to wait a minute and went in the back. Ten minutes later, what I assume was a manager named Fen came out and asked me what th problem was. I recounted the story and he asked who I spoke to. I told him. He then went on to say he’s not sure why I was told that its been $20 since they opened. Which left me wondering why he would make me aware of that and not his staff. He then offered to charge me the price I was quoted by his staff for only one of my procedures. I will be returning to quail corners who have dedicated receptionists that their pricing and have always provided excellent customer service unlike Raleigh Community Animal Hospital.

Raleigh Community Animal Hospital day care is the best! I had to bring my dog for day care for a couple of days. She had never been before and I was a bit nervous about dropping her off. The day care staff were so attentive to her personality and really went out of their way to make my dog comfortable. They also were great about providing me with updates throughout the day. We have been taking our pup here for several years now and are always highly impressed with the quality of service provided. Their pricing seems to be more affordable than other vets too. The other morning I called in a prescription refill that I needed to pick up almost immediately before I left for a flight. I left a voicemail and called back for confirmation before I headed their way. When I called back, I spoke with Bridget and she provided the BEST customer service that I have received from anyplace in a while. She recognized my voice from the message that I left and was able to provide confirmation that the refill would be available when I arrived. I have always been impressed with the level of customer service provided by Raleigh Community Animal Hospital from every person who I have encountered. So if you are looking for a vet where the level of genuine interaction exceeds your expectations every time, look no further. You and your pet will be well taken care of.

Dr. T is fantastic! She has helped me my 4 critters and is great as both a surgeon and general practitioner. I have a rescue German Shepherd who came to me with many problems - gastrointestinal, allergies (both environmental and food,) anxiety, etc - and Dr. T has done a wonderful job helping me manage him. Could not recommend this office more for amazing pet care! My first visit came about when one of my pets was extremely sick. Another vet's office had told me earlier that day, that if I did not have thousands of dollars he would need to be put to sleep immediately. (I walked out of that office) I had heard of RCAH from a rescue organization and called them to be told come in right away. My cat has received amazing care. We were treated with respect and genuine care. Actually each and every person in the office has gone above and beyond anything I could have hoped for. It's been a week now and the cat I was told to put to sleep is on the mend !

My first experience with Raleigh Community Animal Hospital was a tough one: I had to bring my older cat in to be put down. My usual vet said they couldn’t see Charlie for a couple weeks, which was unacceptable. And the price seemed high. We called around and found Dr. Teresa, who personally spoke to me on the phone and was kind, willing to schedule the appointment quickly, and was forthcoming with pricing (much more reasonable) and information about how the process would go. My experience there with both the vet techs and Dr. Teresa was excellent (aside from the fact that I was putting my cat down). They were patient and concerned and understanding. I was made to feel at ease and they made the process as painless as possible. The experience convinced me to switch to Raleigh Community Animal Hospital as my permanent vet. Since then I’ve had more excellent experiences with Dr. Hodinka and other vet techs. They spend a lot of time with us and are happy to answer any questions. I have tremendous confidence in them. Can’t recommend them highly enough!

Dr. Teresa and her staff are the best! I have taken my pets through the years to several different vets in the Raleigh/Wake Forest area. My pets always wanted to run the other way when it was time to go in for their visit. My two golden retrievers love to go to their vet visits at Raleigh Community Animal Hospital. They literally drag me in. I love going somewhere that my dogs feel at home and so do I. The hospital is very comfortable and clean. Everyone is so nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I ordered some medication online just recently and got a call from Phen. He explained that it would be cheaper for me to order the medication a different way. I appreciate that they are concerned about the financial side of things too. They make you feel like you are part of the family and not a number. Dr. Teresa takes the time to explain details to you without rushing in and out. I recently unexpectedly lost my 7 year old golden retriever, Tucker to Cancer. Dr Teresa and her staff were very compassionate and helpful during that life changing time. The daycare staff are great too. Ryan has worked with Trigger and Abby to get them socialized with the other dogs. My dogs and myself are truly happy here and I don't plan on taking them anywhere else! Thank you Dr Teresa and staff for everything you do for my fur babies.

We had an excellent experience at the Raleigh Community Animal Hospital on July 2nd. The receptionists were very friendly. You can tell that they love their job. The vet tech who first saw our cats was very kind and was able to answer all of my questions. The vet took time examining both of our cats and explaining all of the blood work results to us. I learned so much about my cats while I was there and felt like they really cared about the well being of my cats. Also, they allowed my son and his friend to be "vet helpers" which they both loved. The prices for the shots, exams, blood work, and medicine was very reasonable as well. I am going to tell all of my friends about the Raleigh Community Animal Hospital.

My 6 month old puppy was having bloody diarrhea all night. I am new to Raleigh and started to search for a vet locally as I was worried. I read reviews for RCAH and felt confident. I went in without an appointment right when they opened. Taylor was extremely accommodating and communicative she even hugged me when she realized how worried I was. She got my records from our previous vet and just asked me to be patient as they were waiting on the Veterinarians to get in for the day. Although we waited, the ladies who worked there helped me keep my very active and vocal GSP pup busy which I was very appreciative of; especially because the office was very busy. We saw Dr. F who was very kind and informative. They treated him as though he was their own! GSPs are crazy puppies and everyone there worked with me to treat him above and beyond my expectations. I have lived all over the country and this collaborative of Vets under Dr. T's ownership were extremely impressive. I toured their daycare facilities, had all my questions answered to the full extent, I even was given some training tips by Dr. T herself. I was most impressed that I received this absolutely, stellar customer service at an excellent price! I literally had her double check the invoice because I couldn't believe how affordable their care was. This animal hospital goes above and beyond, truly loving what they do and how they do it! I am so grateful to them and will definitely be bringing my other GSP and the puppy here in the future! Thank you RCAH!

With the most kind and thoughtful front staff!!! They are sweet and comforting ever time i call and visit. I am always offered a hot fresh flavorful cup of coffee which is just perk! When i have to leave my dog all day for hands on work, my dog is always happy and playful when he comes back. I can tell he was given attention and not just alone in a crate all day. I can email the doctor with concerns and questions and response time is prompt. The doctor is sincere and honest with a compassion for animals that is undeniable. For any procedure i trust Dr T! When other doctors had no answers, this doctor didnt give up and because she cared enough to help my dog we are getting closer to a solution. Staff and the vet are great; they're really kind and nice! This was my first vet after moving from texas and this place definitely raised the bar. Although I only had 2 visits so far, the vibes that I've been getting has been sort of like They'll work with you or explain a lot of things for you in terms of their methods, prices, and treatments. My puppy's staying the night over from a mini-surgery yesterday, so I have to see how much it amounts to here... So far, RCAH has been on a personal level which was really heartwarming for both mango and I every time we walked in. (She somehow gets more excited to go in there vs. at home)

Very pleased with my first visit to RCAH! My dog was due for her annual checkup in addition to a few shots/tests, and I had been researching vets for a while. RCAH had amazing reviews and a user-friendly website, so I thought I'd pay them a visit. It was a great experience. Dr. H and Peggy sat on the floor with me and my dog for a solid 10-15 minutes just trying to get her to warm up to them. (They had already finished all of their formal tasks in 10 minutes tops.) It was refreshing to see a vet WANT to build a relationship with me and my dog. Furthermore, I thought their prices were fair. Not cheap, but fair (~$45 for standard check-up), and I'd gladly pay a little more to work with people who sincerely care AND who are efficient (rather than practices that ONLY focus on efficiency).

Dr. Teresa is a fantastic diagnostic vet who takes the time to find out about you and your pet as part of the diagnostic process, she doesn't just throw a bunch of tests out there hoping to find something. She evaluates behavior, behavioral changes and environmental changes in conjunction with any testing and I just love this about her - something that a lab might not consider significant, Dr. Teresa looks at the big picture and recognizes that it might be important. And this kind of personal service takes time - time that you don't get from most other vet hospitals. Her pricing is reasonable and fair, a lot of that saved on unnecessary labs - and they have a lab in house for most things which means you can walk out the door with a treatment plan in many cases! I was thrilled to hear she was opening her own hospital and it's a wonderful facility with a wonderful, intelligent, and caring staff.

My dog was told we needed an emergency surgery for a foreign object and 5,000.00 at another animal hospital. My husband called around and when he called Raleigh Community Animal Hospital the Dr. took about 20 minutes of his time to not only try to comfort us but explain options that we had. He said he could look at the xrays we had already taken for a office visit of $45.00 when others wanted $155.00 just to talk to us. He told us we could come right over so we did. He knew who we were the minute we walked in and he was so knowledgeable and he applied his own personal experience with his own pets. Another Dr. came over and shook our hand and gave us options. Upon leaving I was given a hug and told that "we are family around here". I'm new to the area and I will most definitely be using this facility for my future veterinarian needs.

Dr. Teresa Danford and her team of assistants and attendants took such great care of our favorite character Ryder. (Other mentionable names: Jordan, Lindsey, and anyone else who I didn't mention, but interacted with Ryder and cared for him!) We brought him in Tuesday, December 12th of 2017 to see why he was not eating very well and showing pained/lethargic symptoms. They ran tests, took his blood, and kept him boarding there for a few days to ensure he was not viral, well cared for, and that he ate. After he finished his medication that they put him on, he is practically back to his energetec aussie-border collie self! I am so grateful to have my baby back to his goofball nature. We appreciate the amount of care and honesty that this veterinary team put forth to ensure Ryder got better. Their work ethic is admirable. We highly recommend you look into this clinic for your sweet animal.

We took our 1 year old dog, Bentley, to Raleigh Community Animal hospital. Dr. T was very patient, knowledgeable, and thorough. Bentley can be a bit of a handful, and the staff handled her very well. We had been with Banfield previously, and Dr. T, told us things we had never heard before. (Like Bentley's back left knee cap is a little wiggly.) She clearly knows her stuff, and cares for her patient's. She sat on the floor with her, and did the whole exam on the floor. I can't say enough good things about this place. I am new to the area and took my Pitbull there for his vaccines. From the start they were kind, respectful, and informative. Last week my dog got injured and they let me bring him in as a emergency walk in and were able to schedule him for an x Ray the same day. They noticed my worry and allowed me to be with my dog the whole time and let me know exactly what had to be done. Dr. Hodinka and all of his assistants have been great and as long as I'm in North Carolina, I will be going to them.

I came here after a bad experience with a previous vet/boarding place. Knowing this, they gave me a tour of the whole hospital and boarding space. It is incredibly clean and they have an open door policy for pet surgeries so owners can see what is going on at any given time. The vet and staff are very friendly and after my first visit they followed up the same week. I was able to schedule boarding same day on a holiday weekend and they were flexible with drop off and pick up times. It's easy to see how passionate they are about animals, I highly recommend this vet.

I honestly don’t have too much to say about this place, except I won’t be coming back. Took my 7-year-old cat for an office visit/rabies vaccine and was told no issues; everything checked out great. The following month he’s dead all of a sudden. I then called and asked if I could speak to a provider so I can be informed about a few of the major causes that could possibly kill a cat suddenly. There can’t be that many issues, but I couldn’t even talk with my cat’s provider.

Dr. Danford is very amicable and I really felt my dog was in good hands after he was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. Unfortunately it was a losing battle and I had to make the call after my dog's condition worsened. Dr. Danford was very professional yet warm and empathetic during the euthanization process. The vet gets down to business and is completely professional and adds some humor into her opinions/findings as well! Does not try to pump your fur babies full of medicine right off the bat, but finds alternate routes to try first. We have been told our little girl has a ton of allergies by another vet (which she does), but it turns out that we haven't been going about helping her the right/best way possible...AT ALL. About a month ago my partner and I rescued our dog, Sarge. We had no medical records or information about his veterinary history, and are starting training at Sit Means Sit in Raleigh and needed to make sure that he was up to date. Dr. Teressa saw us on very short notice and diagnosed the situation immediately. She treated our kitten very well and thoroughly explained the diagnosis so we understood the circumstances. Friendly staff, very understanding and kind. Tara, one of the receptionists, was quick to provide “treats” (crayons, pencil, stamper and paper) to my children to help keep them busy while we waited. I have always been treated well from the time I walk in until after I check out. The vets are gentle and really care about the wellbeing of the pets. They are willing to work with you on the best treatment and plan, and don’t hide any costs. They will try to do what’s best for the pet within your means (financially). No pet likes going to the vet, but even still my dog seemed to feel safe. I feel confident in all decisions made and would happily recommend RCAH to any new or ongoing pet owner.

I have taken my boy Pinky here several times and they are always very nice and helpful. The first time I went he had been refusing to walk (and it turned out he was just a big drama king) and to get him up to date on his vaccinations. He is a skiddish dog around people and they just kept giving him treats and trying to make him comfortable. By the next time I came in he wasn't afraid of anyone at all. I recently got another dog and I will be taking him here as well when he needs his shots or gets sick. They are also very affordable compared to some other vets in the area.

Dr. T is all about the pets & what is right for them. She will take time to talk with you and find a treatment plan that works for both you and your pets. She is nothing like the big box competitors that are just interested in getting as many animals in & out as quickly as possible just to turn a profit. I've been using this vet for about two years after a recommendation from a friend. They've definitely grown over the past two years, but the staff is consistently amazing and personal. I've been fortunate to have a very healthy dog with some slippery problems (skin allergies) that we've been able to work through and manage. Boarding and day care are always painless processes and the daycare/boarding staff is extremely attentive. Each dog's personality notes are displayed publicly and dogs are grouped by size or temperament. If your dog is having a bad day they are not just left to lay around alone in a room! I've seen timid dogs handled personally on several occasions or be allowed to spend time with the humans if they aren't socially adjusted to other dogs. Dr. Danford has been great, but I haven't had the opportunity to meet the new vet yet. I'm sure they're fantastic as well.

This is the veterinarian you want if you ever feel the least bit uncomfortable with your current vet. Where to start? The staff is kind and efficient, Dr. Teresa Danford and Dr. Tyler Hodinka are brilliant, caring, honest professionals who care about your animals and you, and the other staff are wonderful. Our Old Raleigh neighborhood vet quoted us an exorbitant price for a simple biopsy of our cat's oral lesions AND scared us to death by indicating there was good chance they were cancerous. Dr. Danford looked at our sweet girl, then for one third the cost not only biopsied her lesions, but removed as much of the tissue as she safely could. She suspected, just as we did, that these were not cancerous. The lab confirmed this, and our kitty is now recovering well. We love her no-nonsense demeanor and deep compassion. All of this and mad skills too! THANK YOU! Dr. Tyler Hodinka oversaw our kitten's neutering. As our first contact there, he was impressive. He explained everything clearly, gladly answered all of my questions, and even had one of his staff people give us a tour of the large, immaculate hospital. Everyone there is wonderful--particularly Bridget, whose sweet voice and efficient ways are always a joy. This practice has brought us peace of mind, because we know our animals are in good hands. From calling to schedule an appointment (got one within a few days of calling) to entering the office, to walking out the door after the appointment, the entire experience was the best I have had to date (and I've had my little Buster for 12 years in 5+ vet practices in 3 different states). I was given treatment recommendations with estimates and prices up front and did not feel pressured to do anything I didn't want to do. I also discovered that they have daycare/boarding available and will allow my little guy to be with the vet office staff instead of with the dogs all day (he prefers people most of the time). The staff was amazing. My cat was very scared, as it was only her second time visiting a vet and it was a new place for her. They placed us in a "cat room" that had a big window with a bird feeder outside so that cats could watch the birds. She seemed very content with that. When we decided to adopt a cute little 10 month old from the Wake county shelter, we were recommended by a volunteer at the shelter to take him here since our pup was heartworm positive and the vet there has a big heart and helps newly adopted dogs with treatment. Since heartworm treatment can be very expensive and can sometimes keep great dogs from being adopted due to the extra financial burden, the vet there helps as much as possible because she truly cares. We took him to see Dr. Teresa and not only was she amazing, but her entire staff were! The experience was excellent and they took their time to really give us the top notch care - really taking their time to talk, examine, answer questions, and make me really feel like they cared for our doggo. Not only was our new pup heartworm negative, but Dr. Teresa wrote me a personal email later in the evening to tell me that! Even noting that they accidentally forgot to give me a new-patient discount and that she had applied a credit. Truly above and beyond for sure. Even though we live in Durham, and there's tons of vets in the area, we'll be taking our dog there in the future. Can't recommend this place enough, thanks for the wonderful experience!

I woke up this morning on my birthday to discover that my cat was very sick. I took her to my normal vet and was told she had pyometra, a severely infected uterus that needs emergency treatment. The cost for surgery was ludicrous and needless to say I was a complete wreck wondering if she was going to live. I was calling frantically looking for a place to take her that I could afford. After being turned down by three offices I found Raleigh Community Animal Hospital and they gave me a much more reasonable price and even offered to take my cat Bailey in on the same day. The location is convient and clean. The staff is friendly, cooperative, and accommodating. I will definitely be coming back and bringing my three dogs with me. They gave me my birthday back.

Our dog needed surgery and Dr. Teresa and her handled it beautifully. She instinctively knew it was urgent and kept her staff late until 11:30pm (even though she was leaving for a vacation the next morning). Even though the surgery lasted twice as long as expected they cut some of their expenses to stay within what I could afford and didn't cut any corners for our dog.

After doing some searching & considering, I took my newly adopted dog to Raleigh Community Animal Hospital for her first health exam & vaccine. The location is great. The office is clean; it feels pretty open & bright. Everyone were very nice, friendly & helpful. Dr. Hodinka was so thorough & knowledgeable. I really appreciate the fact that I didn't have to wait for too long & didn't feel rushed throughout the visit. I'm so pleased with this experience that I'm planning to bring my other dog to this office as well.

I recently moved to the area and decided to give RCAH a try when my lab had an ear infection. Staff is super friendly/knowledgable, and they even called to check on her a week after her visit :). Since then, they have been able to schedule me same day when I needed it. My lab is like my child, so I am very picky about vets, but RCAH exceeded my expectations!

Doctors and nurses are very caring, understanding, and knowledgeable! The price to board the pet and have nail trims done are is cheaper then at other vet locations that I've been too.
