REVIEWS OF Quail Corners Animal Hospital IN North Carolina

Christine Lickey

We have used Quail Corners for years as our regular vet and for those emergencies that come our way. The staff is always courteous and seem to really care about not only our special pets, but us as well. As long as we have pets, we will use them.

Tim Kelly

5 stars because of Dr. Piver and her amazing care IS the reason we go there. Steven is the other reason. Wonderful and caring man with our pets! However..on the negative side....it has become a corporate hospital with lots of nickel and dime add ons. Very annoying and needlessly expensive. If not for Dr. Piver and Steven....I would not go there.

Erin Crane

We love our vet! Each vet we met was so nice. They are open on off hours and holidays so you never have to worry about bringing your pretty somewhere where they won't have their Medical history. They even have an online portal! They followed up to phone calls and even called to check in to see if my dog was feeling better. They shipped me medication when they accidentally gave me too little at no charge to me.

John Sauls

Late night visit. They were patient and communicated well.

Melissa Scarboro

I love this Emergency vet. They have helped my baby Chloe every single time and it did not cost a arm and a leg. Thank you quails corner for everything you have done for my Jack Russell that goes everywhere with me including to work.

Jan Kimball

Human medicine should be so good!!

Morgan Glasgow

I can not say enough amazing things about this practice! Dr. Piver is kind, responsive, knowledgeable, and such a true advocate for pets and their owners. The staff as well! From the front desk support team, to the techs and all behind the scenes, a place you always encounter professionals who love what they do and it shows. We have two Cane Corsos, and Dr.Piver comes in and immediately drops to the ground for kisses and slobbers, always taking time to answer all of my neurotic dog mom questions and concerns. Would highly recommend Quail Corners!

Les Geller

Always welcoming, professional and thorough.

Drs Jarchow and Baer are excellent, the staff are friendly and professional. Excellent place to go as a regular or for urgent/emergency care. Saturday morning my cat started limping. I couldn't get in at my regular vet bu they suggested QC. Great advice too, I was able to get my cat seen and diagnosed quickly.

Sharon Malis

The vet distracted my kitty with cheesewhiz and need didn't even notice his shots :). I wish I could say the same about the techs, he went for a shot with a tech and is now terrified of this place

Eric Quach

My cat is terrible in vet visits But they were able to handle and help her without much trouble. The vet even suggested different options for handling her outbursts.

Catherine Mccormick

Good. Would have been better if my son Was able to carry our 50 lb dog from room to room. The young female tech jostled the pet more than necessary just trying to carry him. They were kind as we lost our friend.

Kithunga Nyags

I love the staff and doctors at Quail Corners Animal Hospital. A big shout out to Dr. Virkus, and Dr. Adams, you are truly the best!! Thank you for loving what you do, taking good care of our animals.

Linda Hess

Excellent place to bring your pets! We had to use their emergency services but they offer regular veterinary care. The staff was efficient thorough and very caring. The expense was reasonable. Thank you for offering emergency after hours care.

Tawanna Herring

Very knowledgeable and great staff.

tracey leonard

My dog became sick with the worst diarrhea I have ever seen. I called and they were so pleasant over the phone, so I took him in and soon discovered the situation was fatal. He was pooping blood everywhere. They kept him overnight and called later the next day to tell me his status. We picked him up about 10 hours later and he was back to normal. I am extremely grateful they took so good care of my sick dog. These people are the best for animal care plus they NEVER close!!!! Huge Thanks for your loving care to sick animals!!

ashley messina

I have had only positive experiences with quail corners. I recently had to take my dog penny there for a dew claw injury. They were quick, concerned, attentive and informative. They took care of her problem and gave her a nice little bandage and pain meds. In addition I received a follow up call to check on her a couple of days later! Highly recommend to anyone in the triangle area. Especially since they have after hours emergency services.

James Hopp

Great service love this place. Always there when I need them.

Jan Wynns

Glad they were there. 5 pm on a Saturday afternoon . . . hard to find a vet who is open. Thank you for having a 24 hour emergency clinic.

Stephanie Watkins

Great service but high prices.

Shana Wright

I've gone here for an emergency surgery for one pet (dog) and puppy care for another and have had a wonderful experience both times. Knowledgeable, friendly staff, fair prices. Definitely recommend.

Sorrel Robinson

I'm pretty picky about my veterinarians. I ask a lot of questions, ask for sources, and expect my veterinarian to be familiar with animal behavior. I have a fearful dog and the doctor I saw went above and beyond to both put me and my dog at ease, and we were invited to drop by for free to get treats from reception to make my fearful dog more at ease in the clinic. I was seen on the same day I called to ask for an emergency visit AND they saw me on new years eve. The office fee is more than I'm used to but the service was worth every penny. They even worked with me to hunt down cheaper medication options than what they sold in-office. Highly recommend, will definitely be making this my go-to clinic.

Erin Aponte

I’m so happy we went here!!!! My cat had a swollen eyelid and we don’t have a regular vet for him yet. I called them and they told me to come on in, no problem. I have serious anxiety, especially about my cats’ health, but as soon as my husband and I walked in, the staff started talking to us and I felt so much better. Every single person in the building was so nice, handled my cat with nothing but care, and we were in and out within 30 minutes. I was terrified of what it would cost but it was EXTREMELY reasonable. We will be making them our regular vet after this experience. Thank you so much Quail Corners!!!

Ian Miller

Great vet. They really take time to listen and talk to you about your pet. They are really gentle and good with our dog.

Lauren K

It was very easy to make an appointment. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The location was very convenient as well.

Travis Oneal

The best vet we've ever had! The team is very wonderful and caring and treats our animals with the same love that we would. The grooming is also excellent! Highly recommend.

Sarah Williams

I brought my cat in on a Sunday for an emergency, and everyone at Quail Corners was so kind and compassionate. I ended up having to take my cat to NC State for surgery, but the Quail Corner vet (I completely forgot her name because I was so focused on my cat) talked me through what would happen, reassured me everything would be okay, and called ahead to NC State to let them know I was coming and give them all my information. I was so impressed that I will be making Quail Corners my new primary care veterinarian.

Harriet Mccarter

I had just moved to the area and the next night my dog seemed to be in pain and was having trouble walking. A family member recommended Quail Corners and even though it was 9:30 PM, I called and they invited me to come right over. Everyone was so kind and professional and they got right to work helping Rosie. They did a very thorough workup and kept me informed every step along the way - including with cost, so there were no surprises and I had opportunities to ask questions and make decisions. They got to the bottom of everything quickly and I had medication and discharge instructions in much less time than I expected. I had a top notch vet in my last home town and never thought I'd be able to find another vet that I'd be as happy with, but Dr. Adams and the entire staff proved me wrong and I'll be taking my pets there from now on. They are wonderful and I'd highly recommend them to caring pet owners.

Ana Cristina Rojas Lusker

Quail Corners Animal Hospital has consistently provided my two pups with top quality care and undevoted attention. I trust their staff and services wholeheartedly! Cristina (and Sassy and Oreo too!)

Kiba Monster

I called them very early in the morning about an issue I was having with my dog ( the poor lady on the phone had to listen to me crying ) she was very very sweet and polite give me wonderful directions to their office. And they took very good care of my dog. For an emergency vet service like my dog had to go through the price was very reasonable. They explained in-depth everything that was going on with her and gave me multiple options of treatments for her and even printed up an estimate of what it would cost. If any of my pets ever have an issue I wouldn't hesitate to take them here.

Sarah Harrison

I like the current staff at Quail Corners much better than ever. I don’t know what changes were made since I left them in 2002, but I’m very glad to have had them care for my elderly cats since 2016.

Susie Buck

I used to really like this place. Over the past few months there seems to be a big turnover and the whole atmosphere has changed. They seemed to be more concerned with my credit card than with my cat who was seriously ill and almost died. After 6 years going there with two cats, I am not sure if I want to return.

Anna Williams

Worst place ever. Brought my dog in for one thing. Water Intoxication. They refused to hear my concerns and had numerous other things that could possibly be wrong. All they want is money. Gave my puppy something for nausea and all of a sudden he started to have seizures. Very rude staff. Basically they said to let my dog die or spend hundreds of more dollars. Brought my dog home and treated him for water intoIntoxica. My husband called them yesterday morning to ask them how long the seizures would last and they said he had a life threatening condition.. 24 hours later and my boy has been seizure free. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Jess A

I had a terrible experience at this place. They refused to examine my cat in front of me. They took her to the back and when she came back to me, she was petrified. I nicely asked them to examine her in front of me after that and they told me to "stop making accusations" and that they "weren't malicious people who like hurting animals." I never said that and they showed zero empathy for my concerns. I told some people I know about this and they said "Yeah, Quail Corners is bad."

Ian James

I really like Quail Corners Animal Hospital. They have helped my family through a couple end of life scenarios and we now take our newest puppy there. We use them for short-term boarding and all our pet's care and couldn't be happier. We really like having a vet that instills such confidence with every visit.

brice hall

A caring and knowledgeable staff. Very empathetic and willing to help. They helped us through a very difficult situation with a friend we had for 15 years.

Kordel Schaper

Great service and friendly staff when working with my senior dog.

Evelyn Thorpe

I went to Quail Corners Animal Hospital on Saturday because my little dog was throwing up. The staff were very professional and Dr. Russell was good to talk with regarding my little dog .

Becca Ferreira

TERRiBLE. Took my cat Oliver in to the emergency vet this morning because he clearly cannot breathe, they charged me $300 and told me it was just dust in his nose. well I got a second opinion and good thing I did because he has an ubstruction in his airway and left untreated he wouldn’t be doing so well. DONT GO HERE.

Melisa Antunez

The level of care at this place is impressive. I took my highly anxious small breed dog here and everyone treated her so well. She typically acts up and shivers, but she was happy the entire time. Dr. Rita Gritzmacher is very compassionate - she took her time by providing a detailed diagnosis for my dog. Everyone including the front desk and vet assistant were very kind! Overall, I am super impressed.

Daniel Romero

Great staff! They love animals and treat my dog like he’s their dog! Highly recommend!

Lindsey Sutton

Everyone here is so nice and remembers my name plus my animals! I always feel at home here, and Dr. Piver is THE BEST. she always makes sure me and my babies are taken care of.

Tia McLaurin Bethea

Get veterinarians and team. Love it here!

Smote Mote

Great experience with informative staff. I had gone a few times prior with others and decided to take my cat there. He had a good experience and I will definitely be returning.

Victoria D

My chihuahua has had seizures for seven years. No vet experience in the past has given him the amount of ease that Quail Corners has. Every time we go in, they put us right into a room so he is less likely to get triggered into a seizure, and the medicine he was put on has had amazing results - I could actually take him into a public space without him seizing. The vets also explain their diagnoses and reasoning well so I can understand their process. Thank you, Quail Corners!

Erica Poole

Doctors and staff and super nice and knowledgeable. it's usually packed with animals, but wait is never long and they are very helpful always.

Beatrice Mannes

As always, Quail Corners comes through again. My kitty thanks you!

Lisa Gangewere

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Quail Corners and Dr. Cynthia Piver! We've seen her twice when our indoor cat has been sick. She is very kind, patient, and listens with an open-heart. She is very thorough and provided options so that we completely understood the situation and were able to make the best decision for us and our pet. All of the staff is very kind and accommodating. It's worth the drive across town to get to Quail Corners and Dr. Piver!

Tim LeMaster

They have been AWESOME! Normal visits and I have used them twice for after hours visits, all great. Awesome service and a great value. Dr. Piver is who my Puppies usually see and she is amazing with them, but I have seen 3 of the other Vets as well and they are all great! Would recommend 10/10!! Cho and Ginny say hello and Thank you!

Hilary Tew

This has been our emergency vet for years. Quail Corners has seen us through multiple scary situations and tough decisions that happened when our wonderful regular vet was closed. They are prompt, compassionate and thoughtful during difficult moments. The vets provide thorough information, acquaint themselves with the owner's approach to care and align themselves as best they can to it.

Markita Rountree

I took my dog there for an emergency visit and the staff was amazing. Dr. Sammons was so personable and understanding. The staff kept me updated with everything that was happening. They were up front about pricing and I never felt pressured. I have decided to use them as my vet's office now.

d d

Do not take your dog here. Took my dog to be groomed. Tech came out and said the dog had been nicked in the process. Vet had to put something on the dog to stop the bleeding. And the most unbelievable thing was they wanted to charge me for hurting my dog. When I took the dog home and looked at the "nick" there were actually two. The dog had the skin cut from both the rectum and the genital area. No one said this is what happened. No vet came out and talked to me. Do not ever take your pet to this place. Unbelievable.

Ebony Daniel

Follow up visit for shots was quick and staff was very friendly!

Cindy Kempkes

I came into the emergency room in a total crisis as my two dogs ate some rodenticide. Quail Corners saved them.

Elizabeth Jaramillo

The staff was very patient, understanding, and compassionate.

Sara Warren

We love all the vets and staff at Quail Corners! They really listen to my concerns about Teddy and love on him like he is their own. We really feel at home there.

M L

Been coming here for years. Very apparent every staff member truly loves and cares for your pets

Matt Johnson

The team at Quail Corners always takes great care of my goldendoodle like he was part of their family. The team is always friendly and they are awesome to deal with. This is my third dog that they've cared for and I know that for a regular visit, emergency or anything else, I can count on them!

Daniel Bolger

Quail Corners is #1! The team there loves pets and it shows. I highly recommend this great team of doctors, technicians, and staff. They're great!

Marie Pickering

Staff was knowledgeable and kind during crisis with an elderly cat with a URI. Compassionate and well trained.

Beth

The staff at Quail Corners are fantastic! I received great advice, and my puppy received excellent care. THANK YOU for helping my sick puppy!

jamileth Gomez

It is a very safe place and above all very responsible, they are very attentive to the health of their furry pet

Kristine Dodd

The staff was excellent! They were very kind to our dog and thoroughly explained everything to us and gave us options about a treatment plan. Also called a few days later to check up on Neeko. I would definitely bring him back there again!

Nicole Trueheart

I had to bring Bentley in for an emergency. Everyone was so caring and attentive to his needs. I can definitely feel the love for the animals here. Goes without saying you'd hope but not all vets have been this way for me!

Corneille Little

Dr. Piver always takes the time to visit, allows me to voice concerns, and gives me honest answers. She has my pups vote!

64armt

Love this vet. Had to use it when one of our babies was diagnosed wrong at the vet we used. We have changed due to the way this vet treated us and our baby. Our own vet did not even care that our baby had passed but this vet sent a card with only one visit where our baby passed away while there due to complications with it being sick. All our babies now use this vet and are happy and healthy.

Aubriana Laube

Great doctors and great staff! I love bring my pets here and feel confident putting them in their care. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of a vet!

degufeathers

I usually see Dr. Piver, who I adore and who is soooo gentle and patient with my cats. This visit, I couldn't get in to see her, so I made an appt with Dr. Jarchow. She too was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Gentle, patient, knowledgeable. And my cat was comfortable with her.

Jessica Hellar

We use quail corners as our go to emergency vet. When you have a lab who loves to eat inedible objects, you need to have a good emergency vet on hand. I've been very pleased with our experience and they always take wonderful care of my baby.

Hillary Lockemer

I have been a client for years and always liked the care my cat received here. I’m writing a review now about Dr. Virkus in particular who had the tough role of meeting my cat for the first and last time in the same visit. She was so compassionate through it all and never once rushed me. It’s exactly what I needed during a time we pet parents always dread. I highly recommend Dr. Virkus because I can only imagine how wonderful she must be things are easy and going well!

Alex Popov

Super quality service and care for Huey's paw! Thank you!

Lisa DePinto

I found Quail Corners out of necessity for an emergency vet back in 2016 and was so impressed with the care and attention that they became my full time vet as well. Their prices are affordable and the level of care is excellent. Not only did they catch things past vets did not, they actively helped me save money on medication I would be buying repeatedly, and will work with me to find the best and most cost effective way to get the types of meds I need for my dogs. One of the best parts for me is not just that they treat my dogs as their own (not just a cash payout) but they treat ME as well as the dogs. I never feel talked down to or made to feel like a bad pet parent like I have at other places. My dogs don't mind coming here because they know EVERYONE at Quail Corners is doing their best for them...and the treats don't hurt! If you're looking for a vet, PLEASE go to Quail Corners. You will NOT regret it.

Elizabeth Downing

We have been taking our dog to Dr. Piver at Quail Corners for almost ten years. She is always patience, empathic and most important incredibly positive during our visits. Additionally, the entire staff from vet techs to front desk is always ready to help and attentive.

Liz Lawes

I've brought my cat here a few times for various emergencies and generally have had good experiences. The staff is friendly and they've made upgrades to the inside over the years. They also have a great return policy if your animal doesn't like the prescription food. Sometimes the wait in the exam room seems a little long (which dI eenhave uringmostly noticed during emergency hours only), but I can't complain about the care at all. The doctors are helpful and explain things well while presenting different care options.

Anita V

I had to take my pet to Qual Corners to an emergency. While the doctors and staff were wonderful, I felt the charges were a bit high.

Jane Canales

They are great for emergencies but you better have a lot of money ALOT!

Lisa Wardrop

A few weeks ago, we unfortunately had to make a trip in the middle of the night to the animal hospital. Although it is never a fun place to be, I am glad we picked this one. I felt that my dog was in good hands and they were very friendly and knowledgeable. The vet was able to answer all of my questions and she gave her recommendations for next steps on figuring out my pup's gastrointestinal issues. I would highly recommend this place if you want your furry friends to be in good hands.

LH Campisi

Michelle at the front desk is friendly and efficient and greets owners and patients by name. Dr Piver is very knowledgeable and professional. She has a great bedside manner with the pets, answers questions patiently, openly and completely and gives options for treatment. Absolutely recommend without hesitation to others looking for compassionate, affordable, professional care for their pets.

Kaitlyn Lamm

My dog was just hit by a car and I went to quail corners and I was unable to afford for my dog to stay overnight so they sent us home with plenty of medicine and followed up 2 times with me and helped me via email with my questions. They were so awesome and helpful!

Ashlin Holman

Went in in an emergency situation. Staff was friendly. Helpful. Allowed me to do my nervous rambling. The veterinarian, Dr. Sammons, talked with me thoroughly about my little girl. She did not make me feel rushed (although I imagine she had a lot of other tasks to tend to). She answered all my questions thoroughly, sometimes numerous times because I know I repeated myself at some point out of worry and being scatter brained. I was very please with the care my Lulu received and we are thankful for a 24 hour facility to help us in time of need when our fur babies are in need. Thank you!

Angie Gavilanes

Rampage died. He was treated improperly by the staff at Quail Corners Animal Hospital. He wasn’t treated with the urgent emergency care that he so desperately needed. The team was totally inappropriate and unprofessional care is what Rampage received. The staff was very uncaring and extremely impersonal. They also attempted to overcharge for services in general. Then they also performed services without our written approval before telling us any prices or giving any predictions assertively and or professionally. We are requesting a total refund on our money to resolve this matter. We’re totally unsatisfied with the service our precious little puppy received. This event happen on Saturday 10/20/18

Cassandra Costello

I first used this place for a late night emergency visit and was so impressed with how they treated me and my puppy that I now swear by them. My dog is a rescue and can be kinda skittish and nervous around new people and everyone here is so kind and patient, making sure she's comfortable before they do anything to her. Plus they let her stay with me throughout the process so they don't stress her out more. I never have a problem getting an appointment and they always make sure I understand everything they are doing and planning to do before they start any treatment. I'm so glad I found this place and will recommend it to everyone in the area.

Kelly Edouard

We took our beloved pitbull Zeus here after hours because our mobile vet was not on call to do a euthanasia, as Zeus had been suffering for some time.... the staff was so understanding and patient with us as we said our goodbyes. The vet was very sympathetic and had a great bedside manner.. they even sent us a card a few weeks following Zeus' passing... I will forever be grateful to Quail Corners for helping my Zeus pass peacefully <3

Jane Markley

Be weary of any vet office that will not help animals in need end their life with dignity. A cat was run over right in front of our house by a truck. It had a broken back and was crying in pain. We were able to place it in a box and called this vet to help put the animal down. We were coldly told that it would be a $75 charge, otherwise they could not help us. Stay clear...

Brown Alignment

Thank goodness for their 24hr service. Terrific people did a wonderful job taking care of our sick Golden Retriever. They took us in quickly & did a great job explaining what was happening & what they needed to do to correct the our dog's problem.

Chelsea Vohwinkel

The entire staff at Quail Corners was incredibly helpful and kind during my visit with my sick pooch. They at all times were completely up front about the range of options I had for treatments, the pricing for those treatments and were honest about exactly which treatment they would recommend. They were also great with my very temperamental Chihuahua and handled her with so much care. I've never actually been in a vet situation where they were able to take the muzzle off her and they provided the calm environment where that was actually possible. I highly recommend them and would definitely take my pup back to their office!

Zachary Gusse

While they took my dog in after a copperhead bite after hours (6pm on a Thursday), they did not provide enough medicine or all of the needed medications, or prepare us for what might happen in the next few weeks. They also did not recommend we see our primary vet. Thankfully we took him in the next day regardless, as the swelling and obvious pain did not subside - where we were given 2 additional medications, and were told what to expect over the next 2-3 weeks with the bite injury. As an emergency resource, they were "open", but the quality of care was poor for a very expensive price tag. I would not recommend unless it's the only option.

John Crouch

Everyone at Quail Corners Animal Hospital is great, and they always have been. For over 20 years we've been taking our dogs and cats to them.

T.e. Wooten

I have had a few qualms with Quail Corners in the past few years, and the quality of service received, but have continued to go back because I have found after seeing two veterinarians you may finally get the answers your pet needs. My dogs have been groomed in the facility multiple times, they never have required Bordatella vaccines, but have now mandated. While I can understand this protocol is important, it’s concerning this has not been upheld and multiple oversights have been made, putting all dogs at risk. I was told this policy has been in place for years, but I just found out today? They also re-vaccinated my dog for Rabies after accidentally missing the note in his file that he was up to date. Glad it wasn’t anything more serious that could have harmed him. Overall, they treated one of my dogs through a very seriousness illness and that is why I continued to return. It depends completely on the Vet that you see and they finally will get it right.

Brandy York

Excellent! Everyone was kind and patient and they had so much going on. I was scared and they took great care of our puppy!

Anna Paszyna

We were very impressed with the care and attention to detail given when we went in with an emergency a couple months ago. While we had good, friendly service at another vet hospital, we decided to recently switch to this one. The level of professionalism apparent from the moment you check in at the front desk, to the time you spend with the vet is just above and beyond what we have experienced in the past. A special thank you to Michelle at the front desk, who recently helped out in a big way, before we officially switched over. Despite a full-scheduled morning, she was able to get a doctor’s approval within a quick time frame for a critical prescription that was not readily available elsewhere.

Rebecca Welles Aamodt

Great, caring staff. Very professional and available.

Pam Hyatt

QUAIL CORNERS ANIMAL HOSPITAL has the most caring vets. I have taken my dogs there since 1969. We love this vet practice. They are very caring and loving to all the animals. I highly recommend them!

Sway Steele

Great emergency vet, bit on the pricey side. Friendly staff, very competent.

Keith Benson

Quail Corners does have a well trained staff for sure and a nice location for us but their prices are way too high or should I say they charge too much. My dog had to be hospitalized for high ALT numbers for her liver and after the 3.5 days we were over $3400! We do not have the money for something like this and I have even come to accept it but it is the 3 day follow up for another $180. Talking to our regular vet he suggested if she is doing well then follow up in 2 weeks ... that seemed more reasonable. Now they want us to follow up AGAIN in another week ... I am guessing another $180! I think they tend to prey on pet lovers a bit too much and up charge. They do not have to charge this much ... just compare to around the triangle and you will see. Quail Corners is always open year round and function nicely at 3AM which is nice but they could chose to not gouge so much because they do.

Lauren Dallas

Very thorough analysis of our dog. Very compassionate people. I just wish Goldsboro had one of these because the drive was unbearable with a suffering pup! Highly recommend and worth every penny.

L Beman

Sorry to see that Rita Gritzmacher is on your staff. She killed my dog by improper use of propofol during a C-section and never once said she was sorry. Not the 1st time she killed an animal either, according to staff who used to work with her in Buffalo. At least she's no longer killing animals in WNY.

Kathleen Harvey

Excellent service and got an appt. immediately. Very please with the Vet that saw and diagnosed our dog’s problem.

Mindy King

We had a great experience at QCAH. Finding an emergency vet for our Greyhound is tricky as Greyhounds bloodwork reads differently from most breeds, which matters because Greyhounds don't need the same medications and dosages as other dogs. The doctor was courteous, patient and informative. They did not try to push any costly medications or procedures on us, which has happened at other emergency veterinary practices in the Triangle. We visited QCAH about a month ago, but I also took my cat there 20 years ago. Different staff, but it was a great place even then.

Kenny Scott

If your not rich or have money to burn don't go to them. They are in it for the money not for the animals. They sent my dog away because I didn't have 5k laying around to get my dog uterus removed because it was infected and killing my her. My dog got the help she needed regardless how big my bank account was through Banfield. Banfield is where you wanna go not here.

Brandon Fuchs

My Westie , Sterling , was struck on the side of his face by a copperhead snake and they were the closest emergency vet open on Sunday. They saw us immediately and were very friendly. I absolutely recommend them.

Judith Mayton

We always have a good experience at Quail Corners Animal Hospital. We cannot not imagine taking our pets anywhere else.

Lilah Halbkat

Quail corners is the best veterinary office I've ever used! Open 24 hours, always available when my pet needs something, and everyone is so kind. My cat loves Amanda, she's amazing!

Patricia Purvis

I am grateful for the care my cat received here. There was a misunderstanding of charges, but the Quail Corners team reached out to make it right. If you leave your pet overnight and receive a financial update from them, be sure confirm the time you’re being charged from

Chris Fitzgerald

I manage a dog boarding facility in the area as well as one in NYC and I have never been to a better vet. I showed up with a sick dog with no appointment and was helped right away. The vet was incredibly thorough in her assessment if the dog, asked tons of great and relevant questions, made a very timid dog feel incredibly comfortable, explained the best treatment plan and then left the best veterinarian notes I have ever seen in my years of experience. I can not say enough good things about this place. They even offer you water or juice while you're waiting in their comfortable waiting room. Thank you again to all the staff there!

Kelley Hartnett

Quail Corners’ docs are incredibly knowledgeable and professional. Each time we’ve been, they’ve taken their time with us—answering every question thoroughly and patiently. Rates are reasonable, too. Our pup was experiencing some GI issues and by following the advice we were given, she’s all healed up. Couldn’t be happier!

Sue King

My visits here are always good, even under unpleasant circumstances. Thank you for compassionate service.

Staff is great, attentive.....doctors are very knowledgeable and seem to care. Emergency office visit is really too expensive though. I realize after hours is going to be more expensive than regular office hours but usually someone's pet is going to need a lot more service when they are hurt so it would be nice if the office visit charge wasn't so high.

My dog Cino ate something and it made him vomit continually. I took him in to get examined and treated. Dr. Leslie Sanders was the doctor who treated Cino. She was very patience, sympathetic and explained clearly all the options of treatments we can do to help Cino get better. The entire staff there were very nice and accommodating while we waited for Cino to be treated. Cino is much better now thanks to the professional and caring team at Quail Corners Animal Hospital!!!

Roy Harwell

Have gone here for years. Staff is friendly. Since they are 24 hour for emergencies it is nice to use the same place where they already have the pet's records on file. Very confident that our pets get good care there.

Jennifer MAIER

My cat sees Dr. Piver for acupuncture. She is very kind and quiet with him. The treatments always help!

Linda Chiles

I had to take my puppy in for an emergency visit. Turned out it was GI and they gave me some Rx to help her. Everyone was professional, polite, concerned, and friendly. They even followed up by phone and by sending my regular vet a copy of the paperwork for their file. Highly recommend!

Bill Parrish

First trip to a new very and we couldn't be more pleased with their friendliness, helpfulness, and general level of service.

Laura Wilson

Superior and quality care for my pet with individualized attention given to him along with genuine concern for my questions. Wonderful veterinarian practice that I've been using for many years.

We were very worried about our Grandpet at 2am. My husband called and was told to bring Timber right in. Arrived and was welcomed. Was seen immediately. Attendant was very comforting and seemed knowledgeable of how they would proceed. The doctor came in and talked with us about Timber's issues. Explained the options and made a recommendation. Followed her advice of x-rays and was afterwards, the medication needed. Brought Timber home, followed her directions and have had a very smooth recovery. Thanks a bunch for calming us and Timber.

We are not really "vet people." We do a lot at home to take care of our pets, and we only see the vet when absolutely necessary. However, that might change after visiting Quail Corners. Our older dog is very sick, unfortunately, but we were treated with the perfect mixture of kindness and frankness here. Super understanding, non judgmental, non-pressuring staff. We cannot thank Dr. Virkus enough for her kindness. She radiates empathy and kindness and seems to know the proper way to deal with people and animals on an individual basis. The assistant who helped us (not sure of her name- she had shorter hair) was also very nice and treated our dog with love. We were even treated kindly when we called the emergency line the night before.

Jackie Hill

Excellent vets and employees. 24 hours a day. Excellent emergency clinic. Very satisfied with their care !!

For the love of my cat there's no where else I'd trust him with.

Tammy Tanoury

I cannot say enough about this veterinary practice! I am VERY choosey about who cares for my pet's and have had several bad experiences with local clinics in the Raleigh area, but I absolutely LOVE this place and I especially love Dr. Virkus! She is the epitome of what a veterinarian should and needs to be. She is compassionate, supportive, empathetic, knowledgable and genuine. The staff is courteous, friendly and also very supportive. Thank you from all the Tanoury household!! If I could, I would give more than simply 5 stars!

Marlene Ingham

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Dr. Jarchow and the Vet tech were loving and caring to our brand new kittens. They gave us great information on how to care for our new family members. Thank you!

Karen Colosa

It was so good to have a vet that actually valued my cat. Another vet who I spent plenty of money with and by that I mean several hundred dollars decided that he was just too old to treat anymore and gave me his records. At Quail Corners they actually showed that they cared about my cat and they wanted to help me help extend his life. They didn't just give up on him. You could tell that this vet was very knowledgeable and experienced. She knew the kind of things to look for in the blood work. So that we could change his diet. I am so glad I brought him to Quail Corners. I thank you and Tony thanks you too!

Eric Ladimer

Friendly helpful staff recently was able to see my dog who ate chocholate at 12Am. They provide a great service to pet owners in need after hours. Highly recommend

Absouley the worst experience I have ever had in the medical field. We had an extreme emergency where our cat had fallen from a a third floor balcony. After the doctors gave our cat ultra sounds and X-Rays they explained that nothing was out of the usual. They then went on to say that the issue may be neurological and of course told us how expensive treatment would be. It wasn't untill after all the treatment was done that Dr. Varkus explained to me that they "do not have a very good ultra sound machine nor do they have anyone on staff as a certified radiologist"... what a joke.. a $400 joke... They then differed us to another hospital that verbatim "They will be able to fix the issue". Welp we show up and after another few hundred dollars down the drain they explain that they cant do anything about the issue. My cat had not eaten or used the bathroom for a few days and offered no help with even simply draining the urine from her bladder so that it didnt burst in her system. Finally we take our cat to NC State veterinary hospital and they run more X-Rays on our cat to find out that simply she has two fractured Vertebrae. Simple fix that just takes time and pain killers. I tried to call back about possibly getting a refund as they obviously didn't do a very good job. They said they would give me call back in 24 hours. I'm writing this review a week prior to all of this and still havnt spoken to anyone helpful or in a position that can help. I have read the reviews of this place and while a lot of them are good, the ones that have to do with a more intensive care are bad. I would not take your animal here at all as they are as helpless as can be and obviously dont truly care for animals. Leaving this experience mind blown at home someone can get into a field that has to do with caring for a animal just to feel like another customer that came in and gave them money. As far as a recommendation, I would say go to NC state with any of your serious pet problems. This place has lost a cusotmer and lost all respect. Please whatever you do go somewhere else, I wont be a call back or my money from this cowards, do not waste your time or your money here as they are nothing but another example of our poor the service industry has gotten...

Brittany Renee

I am very pleased with the staff at Quail Corners! I am quite picky about where I take my fur babies but I would highly recommend this place. I recently took my German Shepherd in late at night because she had it coming out of both ends. The staff were very professional and friendly. They explained all of the procedures beforehand and they were very helpful in answering my questions about the results of her exams. My dog has some severe food allergies so we're currently going through the food trial process. The vet recommend 4Health food at Tractor Supply and it has been a total game changer. The prices were reasonable (for an emergency clinic) and I was pleased with the great service we received. Within days, she was back to being her energetic self!

We are new pet owners and were referred to QCAH by a friend. The staff is very friendly and very professional. Both times we have been we were seen promptly and on time. Everything was thoroughly explained and all questions were answered patiently and thoughtfully. I highly recommend QCAH and Dr. Piver.

Randy Smith

The team and staff at Quail Corners are awesome! When boarding our dog, they help us feel secure that he is well taken care of.

I came in on memorial day weekend for my pup who had an inflamed eye. I called ahead to let them know Id be in and they had me in and out in about 30 minutes! Yes- theyre priced higher than a normal vet, but I thought reasonably so. The office visit when I signed was a standard $125 but all the other standard procedures and medications seemed to be priced normally- I think I would have only spent maybe $60 less at my normal vet in total. The vets and staff were both kind and efficient. They do NOT treat your pet in the room with you, but they asked ahead of time what they were allowed to test in the back. All in all I would definitely go back for any urgent care needs!

Kevin Bobal

Always wonderful and welcoming for those "unexpected" after hours/weekend emergencies!

I was bringing my golden retriever here for the last year and the staff has been great and it is easy to get appointments that fit my schedule. After her recent passing the team even sent us a hand written card with 10+ messages on it from the staff. I was amazed by the personal touch and customer service.

Let me tell you about a MIRACLE that has occurred with one of our kittens we recently adopted from the local shelter all because of the amazing job from ALL of the nurses, veterinarians, and techs! A little over a month ago, we decided to adopt a few kittens. Unfortunately, within the first 36 hours of adoption, 2 of them succumbed to an intestinal parasite that ravaged their body. They literally went from lively to flatlined in a matter of an hour. Due to this, the shelter compensated us by allowing the adoption of another kitten free of charge. That's where Little Ms. Astro comes into play. This parasite that was contracted by the other two kittens from the shelter was as easily transmittable via litter box, saliva, drinking water, etc... Although we had lost the previous kittens, the bacteria from the virus was not. We had brought her and her sister to the vet IMMEDIATELY as even the slightest of symptoms had us paranoid. When we brought them in (about mid afternoon) we were told thank God we had brought them in because if we hadn't, they wouldn't have lived through the night. After frequent visits going back and forth to the vet because she wasnt doing well, we were prescribed both antibiotics and probiotics to be able to fight off this infectious parasite. It took a tad over a week, but she was cured of it (as was her sister). However, we realized things still weren't right. We had submitted a stool sample as there were some anomalies within it. Turns out, while being affected with Coccidia (the parasite) she was also fighting hookworms. Another round of treatment, another success. Took a few days to fully flush out of her system. Fast forward to this past week. She starts becoming lethargic. Lack of energy. We rushed her back to the vet and to our surprise, she came down with Pneumonia.. a 105.5° fever. 106 in kittens is considered the fatal point where organs began to shut down. They recommended we keep her in their care as the odds weren't in her favor, yet again. Unfortunately, we didnt have the money for that type of care. They allowed us to take her home, but to not get our hopes up as she only had a 50/50 shot of pulling past it. Again, we were prescribed an antibiotic, praying she would pull through. As we brought her home, her body was shaking due to her fever. She wanted nothing to do with anyone or anything. However, once the medicine kicked in, IMMEDIATELY she began to feel better. Days progressed as she still had some ups and downs. We had to keep her quarantined from our other animals for days on end. As contagious as this strand of pneumonia was, there couldnt be any interactions of any kind. We brought her back in today for a quick checkup to see how she is, and to our AMAZEMENT, she beat pneumonia too! She is the strongest animal I have ever come across. Astro, you are an absolute miracle, and all thanks to Quail Corners Animal Hospital for everything. She is an absolute miracle and it's all because of you guys who actually cared about our beloved kitten. You guys are absolutely heaven sent. If your animal is ever in critical care and is dire need of medical attention, Quail Corners Animal Hospital is the one and only place to go! Thank you guys so much, everyone there from top to bottom. We are eternally grateful for your services

Dame Margo

Excellent care and follow up. Emergency services were at reasonable prices. The only thing I didn't like was they took my dog out of the room to examine and treat him. What are they doing that they can't do it in front of me?

Andrea Montague

My blue Pitbull hurt her foot she had lost a nail and they took Laylay in and fixed her right up even though it was an emergency visit they work with you when it came to the cost I will be forever grateful thank you so much for being open and taking care of my Laylay.

Lester Latkowski

They're grrrreat!!!! I have no problems going back, great transparency in communications with tech and reps of the hospital with our emergency visit at 11pm on a Friday night. The added benefit for me was that they were able to text me updates because I cannot hear on the phone. And luckily for us, their location was "just around the corner" from us. I hope I don't have another pet emergency but if I do they will see me again.

wordzenpix

Good people who are devoted to their patients.

Dr. Sanders fixed my pup right up before our plane ride home. I was a complete wreck because I knew something was wrong with my dog and did not want to board a plane without knowing what was wrong with him and did not want to wait to see our vet when we got back to Louisiana. Quail Corners saw my dog and was able to get him on meds and take care of him before we had to venture home. Thanks Dr. Sanders!

Emily Thompson

Love the folks at Quail Corners! In addition to my dog's regular check-ups, I've had to utilize their 24-hour emergency care a couple times and my experiences have always been wonderful. Really appreciate the no wait time for emergencies and the super short wait time for regularly scheduled appointments.

Dr Piver is the best.

**PLEASE READ THIS** do not take your pet here unless it is an absolute life or death matter and you have no other option.... and by no other option I really mean NONE. This “place” is the cash advance or predatory lender of Veteranarians. They have absolutely zero compassion for your pets, feelings, or whats morally right or wrong. I took my 2 year old French Bulldog here last night whom was very sick as a follow up to an emergency vet visit I made out of town a few days prior. My visit started by being placed in a room and waiting to see a vet tech. After 15 mins the tech arrived, asked me a few questions and took my dog “to the back”. 10 mins later the Dr comes in and says Ive examined your dog and she appears to be acting differently. She asked me to explain what was going on and as I advised of the events leading up to this as well as the documentation I provided from a prior visit, she seemed only interested in how she could sell me on the services they had there. I was told we needed to start with bloodwork. Initially we were only going to do basic bloodwork which they charge $180 for. After talking a minute or so more she said she wanted to do bloodwork for pancreatitis and said it would be $60 more. I agreed because she stated it was a possibility and would require overnight care. When I asked what overnight would cost she said.... uhm at least $1200. I told her that was not an option and that I wanted to have the bloodwork done to begin with. She advised me she had a cat going into surgery for a routine procedure and that within 30 mins someone (it may not be her) would be out to discuss the results. almost TWO HOURS LATER they had just drawn blood on my dog. She was sitting in the back by herself, sick, and alone. I started pacing and advised the front desk employee that I wanted to know where my dog was and why 2 hours later I hadnt heard anything. At this time the Dr came out and advised me of the results of one of the tests. We discussed what to do from there and I asked her if she had reviewed the xrays and she stated she would right then, would check the second blood test and be back out. She walked to the computer, had the front desk associate pull up the xrays I emailed, didnt look at a single one of them and disappeared into the back. Turns out my dog and I interrupted pizza and social time amongst the staff as the Cat surgery was long done (confirmed by one of the Vet techs to the front desk associate), a Sick dog had come and gone and for almost 30 mins I was the only person in there. At this point I was there for 3 hours FOR BLOODWORK and the Vet tech came out to give me an estimate. When I asked her for a breakdown of the costs and why I was being billed for all these things we had not discussed as well as the Dr not talking to me about the Xrays I know she didnt look at or the results of the second blood test (this was completed at 10:15 according to paperwork provided and I left at 5 til 11pm) the tech said let me get the Dr. I advised her that I had to work early in the am I was upset by how my dog and I were being treated etc and wanted to be seen immediately she said ok. The Dr went into the room with a non urgent patient that had only been there for 20 mins rather than coming out to address my concerns. They left me with no choice but to leave. Upon payment I advised the front desk clerk that I was being over charged by $38 for the Pancreatitis test. It was quoted $60 and I was billed $98. She said Im sorry but the test is $98, the Dr must have misquoted you. She didnt offer to verify, adjust, etc. she forced me to pay for the services rendered even though they were misquoted. I left without my dog receiving any treatment. I was there for more than 3 hours for bloodwork im not entirely sure was even done. I dont believe this doctor actually examined my dog, I know she didnt review the xrays provided. As other have stated, the Vet NEVER interacted with my dog in front of me. She was completely disconnected from my concern & her wellbeing. This is a money grab operation DONT GO HERE!

Quail Corners to the rescue once again, our Wake Forest Vet was closed on the weekend. They are so helpful and kind, our dog had a bad allergic reaction to a wasp or hornet sting. They explained everything they were doing, and gave their recommendations, and written instructions for the ongoing care at home. Thanks again Q C!!

I am very very sad to have to give Quail Corners a negative review. Up until now, I have had nothing but wonderful experiences and great things to say. My recent visit with Dr. Sanders (I had previously seen Dr. Piver) changed that. I took my cat in for his rabies shot, and at first I was very happy with Dr. Sanders and enjoyed talking with her. She gave me a lot of great advice and was very nice. During the exam Dr.Sanders discovered that my cat's teeth had stage 2 dental disease. We discussed what to do, and decided that he would need a dental cleaning. His blood was drawn, and I was charged approx. $300 for the visit ($200 of which was for the blood screen). I paid the price gladly because I thought that was what was necessary to make my cat healthy and happy. My concern and love for him was used to trick me into an expensive and unnecessary procedure. The issue I have is this: my fiance noted that online, the prices for both a dental cleaning and a blood draw were considerably lower than what we had been quoted/charged. He called the Quail Corners office and discovered that in order to have a dental cleaning, a $200 full work up was not necessary - a $50 renal and liver panel would suffice. I was not made aware of this option. Dr. Sanders had mentioned ~$200 bloodwork before she had noticed his dental problem, in relation to the enlarged heart condition that is common in Siberians. She said that it was something that she recommended for *senior* cats. I thought she was talking about something we might think about in the future, since Meatloaf is only 5 years old - he is not a senior by any criteria I know of. I didn't make the connection until I saw on my receipt that I was charged for a "Feline Senior Screen with Cardiopet". Again, this makes me feel that my concern for my pet's well-being was used to trick me into purchasing a more expensive and unnecessary procedure. I was not provided with the options available to me, because if I was, I would have chosen to wait until he was an actual senior before getting this bloodwork done! I really don't want to have to find another vet, because as I said, all of my previous experiences at Quail Corners have been fantastic. But especially after how nice I thought Dr. Sanders was, I can't help but feel that my trust has been betrayed for monetary gain.

Robin Caulfield

2nd time we have used Quail Corners and both times have been wonderful. This time they were able to take us as a last minute thing which was fantastic. Love being able to drop off and pick up at any time. Will be using them again on our return trip from Maine to Florida!

Maria Georgiou

Very helpful and nice staff who are understanding to your pet needs while respecting the wallet. Changed my vet whom I was traveling to an extra 25 minutes away to this vet because I couldn't find a vet who is just as nice, helpful, and respectful of pet owner financial strings.

Adam Harmless

While Quail Corners does have a well trained staff and nice location their prices are a bit high. My cat had to have a life saving surgery that I was quoted to be around 2,000$ after I had already paid 300$ for all the tests. I did not have the money so needless to say I was feeling a bit overwhelmed but I did find another location at 1108 Dresser Ct. named Raleigh Community Animal Hospital. They did the surgery for almost a quarter of what it would have cost at quail corners. Quail Corners has been lifesaving for 24 hour assistance but if you are not in dire need after normal business hours I would suggest calling around to find the best price.

Hank McAlpin

Had to bring our 2 year old frenchie here after he suffered a Heat Stroke. Our Vet was not available for overnight care but the Drs at Quail corners took amazing care of him. Overnight care can be quite pricey but it was worth its weight in gold knowing he was in knowledgeable hands and being checked on throughout the night.

Jennifer Mirchandani

The prices here are 10 times more than other vet offices.

Missy Cline

This is not my usual vet, but we visited the emergency vet at Quail Corners this past weekend. I was very happy with the care that my pet received, as well as the thoroughness of all 3 doctors that I talked to/met with over the past 3 days. So much so that I am considering switching to this as our regular vet, at least for my pets that need more specific care. Thanks to everyone for your help. I'm a very satisfied customer!

Allison Przytulski

So we really like this animal hospital. The techs and vets are really attentive to our needs, and mindful.

Bobby Clark

We have been using Quail Corners Animal Hospital for over 20 years with two different dogs that we love. We are convinced that the medical staff and the front end staff have provided and continue to provide the best care and show great compassion. Thank you Quail Corners.

Lane Robbins

Got the help and compassion we needed for our doggy

toriapg

Love everyone at Quail Corners Animal Hospital! They know you, they know your pet and they are super compassionate. Thanks for ALWAYS having a smile on your faces and thank you for being so efficient!

Margaret Ballard

Our recent visit was not our first to their ER. Every time we have gone, we have seen a different Doctor and they have always been very good to us. They feel as bad as you do because your pet is sick. Everyone we have dealt with at Quail Corners have been wonderful.

Chris Tatman

Took my dog to see them at 7pm on a Saturday night and the staff was incredible as always. We've been taking our dogs to their partner - Hidden Valley Animal Hospital - for 10 years now as well. Both places are great!

Taylor Boone

I just came in tonight for the 1st time during emergency service hours. They answered all of my questions on the phone and didn’t pressure me to come in after consulting with me for free. I decided to put my mind at ease, and I was in/out within 10 minutes. Could not have asked for better service for my pet!

Moslih Mojamal

Don’t go there unless you’re out of options, they make you feel like a sheep being brought to a slaughterhouse. All they care for is how maximum money they can get from you. At the end, you will find yourself with some painkillers that costed you at least 300$, But if you decide to go with tests, expect 1000$ at least. Very very expensive

Jennifer Pianelli

Front office staff is not very friendly. I've been going here for almost 5 years out of convenience but today will be the last day.
