The staff went out of their way to save my dying dog. No appointment emergency surgery. All treatments dog is home better than before. Very reasonable bill. Very thankful to North star.

Brittany Hunt

Terrible customer service. On three Separate occasions I was rudely dismissed. Appointments scheduled without my knowledge and terrible follow up with vaccines and yearly maintenance.

North Star was Great when we took our German shepherd there!! Unfortunately they had to send her to doggy heaven but everyone there was amazing and very considerate!! Also a few weeks later we received a card with a note from everyone in it. I will definitely be coming back in the future if need!! Thank you everyone at North Star Veterinarian Hospital!!!

I am so pleased with the service we were provided at North star. My dog has had epileptic seizures for 5 years and we are a military family so we have been through a few vets. This place was recommended to me and I was not let down! Dr. Sara and Dr. Krivit have been suing and they seem to have my dog's best interest in mind as well as alternate ideas for treatment. It's worth staying at ft. Bragg just to have an amazing vet!!

*My horse got a horrible laceration, on right hip/buttocks. Super early in the morning and Dr. Kim was beyond ready and helpful. Not just with my horse but at calming me down and helping me staying focused on the situation at hand. Giving me hope and reminding me she will heal. Do not under estimate her knowledge at what she's doing. She's amazing at what she does and I will highly recommend her! Super grateful for her and her wonderful staff!*

The absolute BEST vet I have ever had look after my pups! I've lived all over the country due to the military and have experienced many different vets over the years and North Star far surpasses all expectations! The front desk staff is very friendly, inviting and efficient. The Vet techs that bring you to the room are amazing also! They made my very skiddish dog Dr. Pickles feel so comfortable that he now ENJOYS going to the vet! He actually gets excited and is very happy to be there! The Veterinarians there are also absolutely wonderful! The want the best for your pet and make sure they are taken care without charging you excessively for unneeded medications or fees. I would recommend North Star to anyone and I actually do to all the customers that come into the pet resort I work at. Thank you North Star! You guys are the best!

I can't say how grateful I am to Dr Krivitz and the rest of her staff! For four years she continuously saved my elderly dogs life as well as kept her quality of life at a maximum, sustainable level. From skin allergies, to chiropractics, to emergency surgeries this establishment has let me keep my 13 year old dog in great health. I even volunteered for a weekend and was even more impressed that behind closed doors the animals are still shown a level of love and respect that far surpassed any other vet experience I'd had. Job well done!!

I cannot say enough about North Star. I brought my teacup Yorkie in to the office without an appointment because she was in respiratory distress. The administrative staff, vet tech and veterinarian all took action right away and did not make me wait. I was so appreciative of those waiting as they seemed eager to let me go ahead of them as well considering the situation. I also feel like they did not charge me an obscene amount for helping us. I also needed her prescription revised and they took care of that immediately. I truly feel like this is a real animal hospital that puts our babies first. I am so happy with their service all my pets have transferred to North Star and I am confident they are receiving the best medical care possible. Thank you again for taking care of my little baby Blossom she means so much to us and is now back to her joyful self again. Sorry to say North Star, but you are stuck with this Yorkie family!

We've only been there once but the experience was great. The doctor and the staff were very helpful. They didn't want us to leave without asking all the questions we wanted. Definitely will be back.

Cori Camp

North Star always goes above and beyond with their care! All of the staff is friendly and helpful any time I have questions. I trust my pets with all of the doctors there. Both of my dogs get so excited as soon as they see the parking lot! They stay there a lot for boarding and enjoy spending time with the staff. And North Star is also available 24 hours a day for emergencies which is awesome! I'll continue to highly recommend people to North Star Veterinary Hospital. Thank you from Cori, Leia and Maggie!

I rarely review any business, but I decided I need to make an exception for North Star Animal Hospital. They go above and beyond for me and my furry family. I’ve used all their services from boarding, grooming, routine visits, and emergency visits. They keep me well informed and answer any questions I may have and show so much love to my dogs! I also love going to their events they host! If you are welcoming a pet to your home or simply are in search for a new vet, I strongly encourage you to go here! Thank you North Star!

If you are looking for a vet I would highly recommend North Star. I came across Dr Youssef and staff after my poodle was attacked during our walk. They gave her excellent care and she is a 100 percent! I am very thankful for their kindness and care in our time of need.

Mina is one of the most caring vets I've ever known. There's been several moments in Rainy's life (our tiny Pitbull) where Mina's come in to save the day. From the time she was a pup and had very persistent mange, to the time she got hit by a car (thankfully, she's okay!). But through that time we were really worried and Mina went above and beyond - calling and texting to see if she was doing okay. He treats every pet like the family members that they really are. I wouldn't take Rainy anywhere else. Best. Vet. Ever.

Perry Woods

Customer service no good. Won't return phone calls in a timely manner

Marcus Williford

Greatest vet in the area. Always treat my dogs like family

Heather Clark

My first time here. My kitten was attacked by a dog. They were very friendly. They kept checking on me and keeping me posted. Which I don't find in most vets/animal hospitals. We were a walk in. They were fast.

Barbara Coble

Excellent after hours emergency care (even in the middle of the night over the weekend)...genuine care and concern for our pet and for our family. Because the injuries our precious Polly endured were so severe, Dr Heather contacted NC State Veterinary Hospital in Raleigh and arranged for us to transport her there. Our options were explained thoroughly and we never doubted for one moment that the best interest of our pet's quality of life was not their top priority. The doctors at North Star stayed in constant contact with the doctors in Raleigh to check on Polly's progress and with us. The emotional support offered to our family was above and beyond.

R Valentine

The most loving, caring vet that I have ever been to. Awesome staff, reasonable prices and the MOST compassion that my animals have ever been given!!!!

Rose Knapp

The staff was very helpful and kind! We didn't know much about our new husky because we just got him two days before the vet visit. The day i called them they got us right in the next day and the doc was wonderful!! Her and her tech both had huskies as well and made us feel very comfortable. They were not at all annoyed by my dogs loudness in the waiting area either

Morbjørn

Very present experience! My boy has a fear aggression problem and Dr Roberson along with the rest of the staff treated him with so much love and respect! It’s rare to find a vet that will listen to not only me but my dogs as well! I think I found their new vet office! I go in again for my other boy so fingers crossed it’s as good as today’s visit. Thank you for being so respectful and kind to my scaredy-cat and even spoiling him a bit with some yummy treats!

Nicole Barnhouse

Vets are friendly. I am not entirely sold on the quality of care. My dog has an itchy condition and he constantly develops infections. They are still not sure what is wrong with him. (We have been to two other vets to be fair.) The front staff could use some improvement on their customer service. Because the clerk at the desk knew the person behind me, she started talking over me while I was trying to check out and while there was a problem with my bill.

Chaselyn Wolf

Hands down my favorite clinic. Dr Kim Krivit sees my both dogs as well as horses for preventative care, chiropractic, acupuncture, and emergency service. The first vet I’ve felt takes in the whole animal rather than just addressing parts. Very honest, knowledgeable and open to holistic approaches. Supports raw for the dogs, does house/farm calls, and offers a military discount. I’m in Spring Lake but the distance is negligible for the care. One of the very few emergency veterinary services in the Fayetteville area.

Shannon Battle

They took care of my German Shepherd "Juicy" for over 7 years. She started experiencing a decline in her health and they provided every treatment possible to help her to walk again. As she was ending her journey here the doctor said she felt it was time to consider euthanizing her. I was very heartbroken but wanted to get a second opinion first. Went to another vet, and they reviewed her records from Northstar. They said she had impeccable treatment and care and they confirmed the doctors recommendation. The 2nd vet offered to do the procedure there and then they had a tech that came in and Juicy was so excited. The tech said she worked with Juicy for many years while at Northstar. So, I had the procedure at the 2nd vet only because I couldn't take that drive to NorthStar knowing what was happening. I called Northstar to let them know that we weren't coming and that it was done. The tech on the phone sounded choked up. Northstar still sent us a card signed by everyone. Northstar will always be considered family because they made my Juicy family. They are the most considerate and caring veterinarian clinic I have ever experienced. Thank you North Star!

I absolutely love them! I have taken my dog little there so much they know her on a first name basis. I have not had a bad visit yet and they really do care about the animals they are helping! Love you guys!

This is the best vet I've ever been too. My dog is a handful and definitely made a lasting impression on them. They did an amazing job grooming and handling my crazy dog. The staff is amazing. Always so friendly and welcoming. You will never find a vet that cares more then Dr Kim krivit. Thank-you so much North Star.

Today, was our first time visiting North Star Vet, since we just recently moved here. Everyone here is so nice and treated my dog with love and compassion. The prices were reasonable too! We will be back and this vet will be our new vet for as long as we live here!

Thank you Dr. Youseff for your special care and concern for Dude I know he is much happier now since he has had his Pearlies cleaned nice and white, you see Dude is my service dog and he had fractured one of his K9s and the doctor and his great support team members took personal care of Dude. Thank you North Star Animal Hospital for all of your care and compassion for my best friend. Robert

Had a little bit of a parvo scare with my 3 month old puppy. I woke up at about 1am to her whining, throwing up, and having really bad diarrhea. I decided to call and just take her in because I’d rather be safe than sorry and lose my baby. They were really sweet and caring and treated my fur baby amazingly. She tested negative for parvo (thank god) but had roundworms! They informed me of everything I needed to do and provided us with the proper medication. Dr. Roberson also gave her a shot for nausea and went ahead and gave her her next round of shots while we were there! I was very pleased with how we were treated and this will definitely be our new primary vet clinic!

Catherine Bullard

We love and trust our 5 horses and 2 dogs to North Star Veterinary!

Brandi Simpson

Took my dog in for 2 vaccines and was quoted around $90. They took my dog from the room to take her temperature. I could hear her freaking out in the back and became nervous. When they brought her back she was clearly distraught and they said she put up a fight. She is not good with stressful things and can't have blood drawn or anything without being sedated. Got to the counter and they tried to charge me $200! They drew blood for some test I did not agree to, gave her a Lyme vaccine which is optional but not something I asked for, trimmed her nails even though I told them she had an appointment next week. They did all of this in the back room without me. Never again! Don't let your pet out of your site with them! They did make it right and not charge me for the vaccines I didn't ask for, but they still tortured her for no reason by drawing blood and trimming her nails in a stressful environment. Completely unacceptable.

We’ve used this clinic for a couple of years now always happy with the care. Unfortunately we had an issue with the groomer a while ago. Dogs smelt worse when they came home than they did when dropped off. I was told they’d credit the cost back to me. That never happened. But my biggest aggravation is the ole bait and switch. I know most vet clinics seem to do this but North Star is masterful at it. I took my cat in for a procedure that I had inquired about thoroughly over the phone in regards to the price. I was told $155. I thought wow that is to cheap, so I asked if that was total after everything excluding the over night stay. I was told that price was everything including the over night stay. So I went In Prepared to pay $155 filled out the paper work. Then once the tech came in with an itemized list it was over $355. Now this isn’t the first time I’ve had a situation like this, but I thought I had asked all the right questions to get the correct price, I was wrong... I was then told they have a lot of new people answering the phones so they probably didn’t know. The tech appeared to be mind blown that I declined to go through with the procedure, like hey your here, it’s only $200 extra. Honestly, I never expected to get out of there for the $155 I was quoted, I had planned on $50-$100 extra. But the $200 was more than I was willing to stomach. Had this been a life threatening issue of course I’d have had no choice but to pay, but since it was not I decided to take my business to a more honest and upfront clinic.

Since my last review was deleted here it is again! If I could leave zero stars I would. I brought my dog into this practice Monday night with the fear he was bloating. Upon arriving, they did bloodwork and x rays. His bloodwork came back fine and when the X-rays came back his intestines were extremely swollen. Dr. Roberson at this point could not tell if he had an obstruction or if he had swollen a foreign body and opted to start iv fluids and mineral oil to help whatever may be in there ease it’s way out. Tuesday morning I had not received a phone call to update me of his status so I called. A doctor named Dr. Goff called me and when I begin telling him I wasn’t very impressed about the service we received the night prior with no details or concrete answers all I got from him was a very harsh tone of that is my wife you are talking about and I do not appreciate you talking about her that way. He then told me his x rays were performed again and the swelling had significantly decreased but he had gas in his stomach. They at this point were almost confident there was no obstruction and didn’t see anything. They wanted to keep him on fluids and continue the mineral oil treatment. He would not eat or drink for them. Fast forward to 4 pm. I told my husband to go get him because I felt as if we could watch him better at home and with no obstruction I didn’t feel we had anything to fear. As soon as my husband brought him home he had explosive diarrhea all night Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. I made several attempts to call the hospital and find out if this was normal and got no phone call back. I also NEVER got a call to find out how Marshall was doing. They also didn’t even bother sending me home with probiotics or a prescription food initially. I asked Tuesday morning for a copy of the x rays to send to our normal vet and it wasn’t until I called demanding them at 4 pm Wednesday they sent them. Mind you doctor had still not called me back. We paid them 800$ for this service. I sent the x rays to my normal vet and she told me to get to nc state immediately the x rays showed an obstruction pattern and possibly aspiration (pneumonia). 6 pm Once arriving to NC State we started the work up. X rays, bloodwork, and ultrasound. Minutes after the doctor came in and told us he saw an obstruction on the x rays from Monday. And the x rays they performed showed an obstruction with blockage. They advised we do surgery. We gave them the go ahead to do surgery. While in surgery they had to remove his spleen because it was on the opposite side of his body and 4 feet of intestine because it had died. He was also in septic shock. After surgery Wednesday morning at 4 am they let us know he had pneumonia. This also was present on his x rays Monday. Marshall was stable after surgery and we went and visited him last night. He had a feeding tube and was all hooked up. The doctors let us know the pneumonia had gotten worse and he had a wet cough. At 4 am this morning marshall had to go on oxygen. The vet called me for permission to repeat x rays. I said yes go ahead. They took Marshall into x ray and he crashed. They did cpr for 7 minutes and couldn’t bring him back. The one x Ray they got showed his lungs were completely surrounded by air. We lost him. NC State did EVERYTHING they could do to save him. Had he been properly diagnosed Monday I am almost certain he would still be here. I called this vet office the last two days in a row to speak with the owner and today was told she would call me and let them know Marshall didn’t make it. Guess what no call! I am ashamed we even took our dog here. I cannot believe they didn’t offer us anything! Not even an apology! I am heartbroken.

They love my pets and care for them as if they are theirs. Their 24-hr emergency service is the best!

10/10 recommend North Star to all our family and friends. We lived in NC for 5 years and were sad to leave the state for fear of not being able to find another vets office we loved as much as this one! Staff and Dr’s are extremely friendly and truly cared about our pup, Ace! Pricing was affordable and worth every penny. Thank you for all you did for our dog while he was under your care :)!

J.R. A

Absolutely avoid this place. The doctors are greedy and will try to sell you needless things constantly. Compared to other vet offices I have been to this was the worst. Quality of care and knowledge is poor, professionalism (especially Dr. Krivit) is awful. I have heard stories of her yelling at clients who would not take her advice, even if that advice is not in the best interest of the pet. You will wait forever in the waiting room regardless if you have an appointment. Wait time for medications takes days and that's if they even fill the medication without you calling 10 times!!! They will try to get the most out of your pocket book. For me, I was told my dog with cancer and 14 years old would be a good candidate for a very expensive surgery (no way according to second opinions). This clinic does not put the best interest of you and your pet at heart. Find a respectable veterinarian who genuinely cares for your animals not the bottom line!

Mayra Baltazar

First time customer and had a great experience. Dr. Yousseff and his staff took care of our German Sheppard's needs very quickly. Staff is courteous and very friendly. All my questions were answered and the whole staff showed interested in the well being of my dog. Thank you.

Recently moved to the area and brought in our dog with a very serious none curable illness that needed to be managed well. The staff here was amazing and made the transition easy. I recently had to make 1 last visit to end our dogs suffering and the staff was so supportive and kind. I am truly blessed to have found them.

Dr Kim is fantastic!! She has spent months helping us figure out our dogs allergies. Her personal attention has been amazing. The techs and vets are great every time we go in. They have always treated out pup (Angel) like one of their own. We never wait very long to be seen. We have explained that Angel can get nervous with out her mom being there so they have always done everything with her present. We have trained and owned many dogs over the years and this is by far the best vet group we have ever dealt with.

Nice receptionist excellent knowledgable vet. Very glad I went their.

Excellent veterinary care of our animals with a very friendly staff.

Anji Martinez

We first found North Star when one of our dogs was sick on a weekend. They handled us with genuine care. That same fur baby became very ill a year later. North Star eased us through the process of having to say goodbye to our Harley-man. Since then we rescued two more fur babies. North Star has been very kind and patient with our girls. One has severe anxiety, the other is very loving to everyone. I highly recommend this family of animal loving professionals.

rean nonnoki

I would give 10 stars if I could. Took excellent care of my dog who was in ALOT of pain, he is back to his lively self. The staff all truly seem to genuinely care about your pet. This is much farther from my house than my regular vet, but I took a chance and am very pleased. Will definitely come back in the future.

Nicholas Ringler

Used the 24-hour emergency care on a Sunday morning since My normal vet does not have after hours care. Talked to the vet on the phone and we decided my dog should be seen based on the symptoms. The vet met me within 10 minutes, gave a thorough exam, took X-rays, and took the time to walk me through the X-ray, explaining everything. She was super personable, answered all of my questions, and gave great care to my dog (who, lets face it, is like a child). So glad I went here, would highly recommend.

shane osnoe

Just got my dog fixed, the doctors and staff members we're all super friendly and informative! Very accommodating and overall great experiences! I would highly recommend giving them a chance!

My 8 week old puppy had a not so great reaction to a vaccination (the first time I've had a dog have an issue) and I found this vet via facebook. I called and they had Dr. Goff call me back within minutes. I took my puppy immediately and they had him back in a room, and being helped within mere minutes. Dr. Goff and his staff (wonderful woman) talked to me and helped put me at ease. They were great with my dog. I absolutely recommend the practice.
