Wonderful service all around from the reception, vet techs and veterinarians. I called them when my newly adopted kitten woke up with a bad eye infection; my normal vet is a very far drive from my home. They got me an appointment within the hour. Very thorough and kind. I have been bringing my cat Stormy here for 2.5 years. Our cat loves seeing Dr.Fluke, she is great with cats. I highly recommend her. Stormy had a tumor on his leg, and had to have it removed. They really worked with us a got us a very fair price for a 3 day surgical visit. You can even get same day appointments.

I needed a vaccine for camp Bow wow. Our i interview at camp was at 8:15 and when we got there they told us that her vaccines were not updated so we called around and this hospital was able to fit us in which was very very nice I definitely recommend this place!!

We started going here when we adopted Savannah from the shelter in 2011. Started out good. Savannah got sick 6 years later and took her to see what was going on. Visit was more than expected. We tried to pay all but $27 of the bill. Staff unwilling to give us the medicine for Savannah. Also, nurse said they do not take checks. I knew she was lying but didn't say anything. I did return to clear the bill. I see where others had better service when payment was a little problem. MUST JUST BE ME! Not too happy with the service. Hope the diagnosis was correct. Probably won't take her back or recommend to anyone.

This last time, we saw Dr Fluke, who diagnosed our cat Lily with hyperthyroidism. Dr Fluke is super friendly, and took the time to thoroughly explain the diagnosis, and possible treatments. The entire staff is wonderful, and I trust them all with the health of my pets.

I have been taking my dog here for many years and they have always been very kind and helpful. I am a student so my parents sometimes help with payments on my behalf over the phone and they are very understanding. My dog has had not only his annual check ups there, but also a dental surgery. Going into it they explained to me exactly what to expect, and I had no worries. He is a happy and healthy 10 year old bichon and I would continue taking him there if it weren't for the fact that I have moved. But trust me, we will return as soon as I move back. Great staff. While visiting Charlotte in preparation for our relocation to NC, our catahoula pup Mollie began showing signs of kennel cough. The staff at Mallard Creek was very accommodating in getting us in the same day although we weren't patients. Dr. Hyatt and her team were amazing at comforting her and putting my mind at ease that this would pass with a short treatment of antibiotics. Dr. Laurie Walden saw us yesterday when we took in our 14yr-old Australian Shepherd, which was suffering from severe prolonged diarrhea, vomiting and seizures -- basically age had caught up to her in some terminal way. The Dr. and staff were extremely compassionate, helpful and supportive to us as we made the difficult decision to put her down. And, while doing it, they were so considerate of our needs to be present with Daisy. In the end, even with the fecal test, euthanasia, and crematory charges, it was *very* reasonable, especially considering all the time they spent with us. I highly recommend Dr. Walden at Mallard Creek Animal Hospital.

My cat has has been having skin problems for the past year (aka since we have had him) and we have had to take him to the vet 5 times in the past year (this was our first time at Mallard Creek). At the other vet office I had to wait for a long period of time to see the vet and then I was rushed in and out and didn't feel like I ever had any answers to my questions. At Mallard creek the staff was ready for our appointment and Dr. Duckwall did such a good job explaining everything to me and examining my Cat. We actually recently moved down town Charlotte and Mallard Creek is about 30 minutes away from my house, but I was so happy with our experience I am going to keep coming back. Worth the drive!

Overall, it was a hassle free, pleasant experience. I do, however, think that the cost is ridiculously high. I dont think that it should cost me 300 dollars for someone to figure out what is going on with my cat. Every little thing that is done, has a high charge involved. I will say that there was a follow up phone call the next day to see how my cat was doing and I did appreciate that. Every one there was very nice and personable. I have another rescue that needs to be neutered, but it won't be here. Unfortunately, I can't afford the $179 price tag that comes with it, so I'll be going elsewhere.

I originally gave them a one star rating for the story below, however they did reach back out to me to correct the issue. Because of this I will continue to use them as my car of choice. Alice did assure me she will be speaking with her staff on how to handle issues like this in the future as well as making sure that everyone is aware of pricing for services. I have been taking my dog here for years but I ell no longer. I few months ago she had an infection they they tested her for and gave her medicine. They wanted me bring back in a urine sample to insure that she was in the clear. Before leaving I asked if it was all covered I the original bill and was told that it was. Brought the sample back and everything was good for a month or so until I was attempting to schedule another appointment for a different issue. At that time I was told there was a balance due that was to be paid before they would see her again. The balance came from the urine sample. I explained to them what I was told and how I verified. Yet they did not care, they were very rude about it and did not want to help resolve the issue with anything other than me making a payment. Needless to say I will not be recommending this place or going back. Very displeased with their service.

Dr. Fluke provides excellent care for our cat. She is very concerned about our cat’s health and investigates in depth any issues that have arisen, keeping our cat’s best interests in the forefront. It is obvious Dr. Fluke is a devoted veteranarian who has a passion for what she does and cares deeply about her patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Fluke to anyone searching for a veterinarian.
