It has taken me a while to be able to leave this review. I recently had to have one of my very best friends, a dog(Maverick), put down. We took him here where they diagnosed him with an inoperable tumor. We couldn't put him down that day as it was just too hard. The staff and the vet were very understanding and sensitive. We took him back when we were ready a few days later and they were even more awesome then. They were absolutely the nicest, most professional vet I have ever been to. I can't even explain how awesome they were on this most terrible day. Their services were very reasonably priced and they really seemed to genuinely care for you and your animal. Again, I can't stress enough how awesome they are. I will be taking all my animals here from now on, hopefully for less stressful reasons. Their facility is relatively new and is very nice. Give them a try and I believe you will see them the same way I did. As a finishing side note they even sent a condolences card a week or so later signed by everyone in the office with genuine, heart felt sympathy. I can't think of anyone who cares enough to do this. Wow!

This place was absolutely amazing. I came home to find my dog loose and injured this morning. I called and was told I could bring Bo right in. The extraordinary care began in the parking lot were I was met by a staff member to help get my injured dog inside. I felt like my dog was their only patient and top priority. I can't express in words the outpouring of compassion & care I received. I will definitely be using the Animal Care Clinic of Concord for all my pets needs. Oh & the fee was surprisingly reasonable for emergency care.

We have used this vet office often in the past with great satisfaction. After taking our sick cat in today, and waiting over an hour past scheduled appointment, I finally had to go looking for someone to let them know I was leaving. That was met with snarky comments about how the vet was busy and I was going to be next, and what did I want to do. This is NOT the caring animal care it used to be, nor did they show me any respect or cordiality or consideration of my time. The attitude from the veterinarian was one of disdain and disrespect for both me and my sick animal. I suppose it was too much for any of the several voices I heard small talking and laughing to come let me know that they were running behind. After today, I will not return nor would I recommend this place. I agree with Anonymous abc in that I heard the Dr. get briefed on my pet more than 20 minutes before I actually went looking for someone to let them know I was leaving. Complete lack of respect for the clients here. There is a reason this place has the lowest reviews of any animal care facility in Concord

We absolutely love Animal Care Clinic! We left another vet after a bad incident with our then dog Boston and were recommended by a neighbor to try Animal Care Clinic. After just a couple of years, our dog got cancer that was found by Dr. Moore. They handled it with such delicacy and compassion, and when the cancer took Boston, the entire vet staff mourned with us. We have since rescued two new dogs that they all know and love. Dr. Moore provides me with comical relief when needed with her candid and unfiltered commentary on life and pets. They treat us like family and care for our pets like their own. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Couldn't believe the nasty attitude and sarcasm from Ms. Moore (the vet). But first, I'll give credit to the VERY NICE and considerate staff -- OTHER THAN THE VET. Ms Moore asked me a question about something (cant remember the exact question) and I told her I wasn't sure. Her reply, with a 'smart mouth'...."Its right under your nose. Didn't you read the brochure that the assistant just brought in a few minutes ago?" Bare in mind I was obviously very worried at the time. I don't give a damn what anybody else says or gives me before the vet finally comes into the room!! My dog was bad sick! I wasn't in the mood to read some brochure that everyone gets when they get there! And even if reading the brochure was important, you NEVER get that kind of an attitude towards a grieving pet owner!! Outcome? Had to have him put down. This grown man did cry and the OTHER staff was very sympathetic. This actually occurred a few months ago. I just stumbled on these reviews while searching for another vet for my other dog. And Ms Moore, if you read this, my other dog will go to another vet or die here at home before I bring him to you!

The entire staff was kind and compassionate and very helpful. My working dog dislocated her wrist while working. It was 5:00pm and most of the other clinics wanted to see her the next day or to refer us to the emergency clinic. Animal Care of Concord saw her right before closing time and did an amazing job of setting her leg so she would be comfortable until she could get in with the orthopedic surgeon. The facility is beautiful and spacious and brand new! Dr. Moore was great and I am very picky. I train dogs for a living and I very picky about where my working dogs go to the vet! I will return to this clinic

I have been taking my cats to Dr. Moore for years. Stinky is 23 years old now and Dr. Moore and the vet techs handle him like he is fine china. I always feel like what she recommends is ALWAYS in the best interest of my pet. I had to put to sleep my precious little "Metoo" a few years ago. The compassion they showed was very much appreciated during such a difficult time for me. I thought I was going to lose another feline, Zipper a few years ago. Dr. Moore's expertise saved him and he is now 18 years old. I trust this clinic.

We've used Animal Care Clinic on church street in Concord as our dog's vet since we moved here. We've always loved the vet and have felt Buddy was well cared for. Today we took him in for a routine teeth cleaning. He had his teeth cleaned 2.5 years ago at this clinic so we has an idea of what we were in for both care and cost wise. We were given an estimate of $200 and were told if there are extractions it will cost extra. Fine. They called me after the surgery today to tell me that they had to remove all of Buddy's front teeth. I was very surprised. Imagine our absolute shock though when we went to the vet to pick Buddy up and the bill came to more than $450 dollars. Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked That's 250% of the estimate. They did not ever tell us it would be THAT expensive. They did not give us the option to refuse extraction. We had a very long conversation with their business manager who basically told us that when you hand over a pet to the vet you're giving them a blank check to do what they feel needs to be done. Um, no. There is no reason they couldn't have called us during the surgery and said "we need to take out 11 teeth by our count. Here are the options. Here are the health consequences for your dog if we do it and here is what could happen if we don't." Nothing. We had NO communication until after the fact and even then it was non specific... in the form of "we had to remove some teeth." For us $200 is a WHOLE WORLD away from $450. and we did NOT hand over our dog and a blank check. The business manager refused to acknowledge the unfair business practices. He also said they are not registered with the BBB. We will be taking our dog elsewhere for his heath needs.

Knowledgeable, capable and caring, doctors, vet techs and front desk staff. They care for 3 of our dogs, one with allergy issues. We have never been dissatisfied with the quality of care or appointment times in the case of an emergency.

I had a very sick german short hair.her name was abby she was 5 yrs old and had a very bad bacterial infection throughout her organs and body we had to put her to sleep the staff was very caring and considerste of my sorrow. They are very compassionate caring and professional.ive used them for all 4 of my dogs since they opened about 3 years ago. They are the best.

~ I went to Animal Care Clinic and Melanie Moore charges an office visit for any vaccine, even on second round vaccines! She also scared me into getting a test & vaccines that were not needed! This clinic made me spend $300.00 on my two month old kitten who is perfectly healthy! Moore said for the second vaccine there would be no office visit fee! SHE LIED !!!

There are two reasons we continue to use this vet: the location and the staff. The women working at the front desk are incredibly sweet and loving toward the animals. They make the inevitable 40 minute wait to see Melanie for a booster shot somewhat more bearable. As a professional myself, I find the complete lack of respect for my time incredibly rude, especially when you can hear her in the back chit-chatting about random subjects with the techs.

Unfortunately my husband and I had to change vets due to us moving from Charlotte. Previously we went to Brookdale Animal Hospital, which was amazing. Even after reading crummy reviews of this place, we decided to give it a try. It was convenient and close by. I called to schedule an appointment for our two animals and explained I was on maternity leave with my infant TWIN boys and I needed something with back-to-back appointments and simply needed rabies shots for both and that I had help Mondays after 3 and someone would be bringing them. They scheduled me at 4. I loaded the dogs in my caregivers car, upon her arrival she was told she'd have to leave because I needed to sign their form which confirmed my animals names, spay status, and address. Something she could have easily filled out. It was not as if they were having surgery. They were getting a rabies shot. I specifically asked if I needed any information to send with my caregiver or get any information from our previous vet and they assured me they didnt need additional information from me. Apparently this was false. I don't know what was the bigger hassle, my caregiver having to deal with this or my discussion on the phone with the receptionist. Complete disarray. Now I can see why they have a 3.9 rating and my previous vet has a 5.
