Dr. Quagliata has been my vet for the last 8 years. I have a 10 year old puggle who HATES to go to the vet. She normally shakes and hides at traditional veterinary practices, but is always calm and happy when Dr. Q comes for a visit. Dr. Qualgliata has plenty of advice about anything dog related. I happily recommend her to future patients.
Dr. Q of Village House Call Vets is reliable, thorough and extremely knowledgeable. I wouldn't trust anyone else to take care of my kitty Miss Grace. Dr Q and her service is more than 5 star. Highly recommend!
Dr. Q is kind, gentle and so very prompt with her services. She makes taking care of my animals a priority. She explains what she is doing and is so mindful of my dog and cats needs. I won't take my animals anywhere else now that I found her!
I cannot remember feeling as relieved as I did when Dr. Quagliata first came to see our old lab. Shane was considerably uncomfortable as his arthritic hip flared with the summer heat and humidity. I believed when I called that it was to inquire about euthanasia services in the home. Dr. Quagliata demonstrated a touch with Shane that was remarkable to see. He felt good about it, I felt better. Shane was prescribed Rimadyl, a strong pain reliever and I was told I would see a "new dog" in 24 hours. I did. We live in a 4th floor walk-up and were weighing not taking him up and down the steps anymore because it was so difficult for him. A day after starting Rimadyl he was back to going for walks 2-3 times a day. a few weeks later, Dr. Quagliata came with her assistant to draw blood and check kidney and liver functioning because the Rimadyl is not without possible side effects. We wound up having about 8 more weeks with Shane and one night he passed peacefully here in his sleep. . . but the knowledge that his pain and discomfort were minimal and his last days were peaceful helped all of us immeasurably during a most difficult time. We feel indebted to Dr. Quagliata. Because of her skills we believe Shane's final days were as comfortable as they could possibly be. I strongly recommend her especially to families with children.
Excellent, professional service - cats were treated with such kindness. Nice to eliminate a trip to the vet's office.
Dr Q is an incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate person. She provides cutting edge care in the comfort of your home. This allows her to develop a unique repore with her patients and allows tremendous convenient for clients. A true gem in the city!!!
Dr. Q has been taking care of our babies for four years and we couldn't be happier! We appreciate all dedication and compassion she has!
If I could give Dr. Q more stars, I would. She has been my vet for the past 13 years and I don't know what I would have done without her. My labrador suffered from 2 knee injuries over the years and she was there for me to guide me through the process. She has recommended a pain med protocol to help my 13 year old who suffers from arthritis, so she continues to live a pain free and vibrant life in her senior years. I also have a chihuahua who can get quite jittery but Dr Q has created such a safe and comfortable space for him, that he ends his appointments with her thanking her with tons of snuggles. I can't recommend Dr. Q more if you want a dedicated and compassionate doctor to take care of your furry family members.
Dr. Q of Village House Call Vets is a gem! My dog hates going to the vet and having someone come to my home, makes all the difference. She is extremely knowledgeable in many areas of care. We recently put my dog on anxiety medication and Village House Call Vet has been so helpful and encouraging. Highly recommend!
Dr. Q is reliable, knowledgable and comforting. I am so glad I found her :)
The best vetinary care in NYC
Our family has been with Dr. Quagliata for over 10 years and she has consistently provided excellent care for our dogs. We love Village House Call Vet!
We had an 11-year-old Chihuahua Pomeranian mix named Poncho that was very healthy before I took him to the Veterinarian in Michigan to get his Rabies Vaccination. That was in February of 2017. From that point on his health started to decline. We took him back to the Imlay City Vet because he was not eating and was acting Lethargic. The doctor said he had Pancreatitis caused by the food he was eating. She would not admit that the Rabies vaccine could have something to do with his condition. She told us that he needed to be on fluids and that we could leave him there but no one would be there to watch him at night. We did not think he should be alone so, that evening we took him to the Wilson Vet Hospital in Romeo. They did blood work on him and said that he was in complete kidney failure NOT Pancreatitis. Doctor Wilson told us we should just “put him down” (So Cold Hearted) because we would need to give him fluids at home and we would not be able to do it because he was too mean. If the Doctor saying that did not wrench our hearts enough, while he was in there one of the interns fractured Poncho’s jaw trying to give him oral medicine. No one at the Wilson Veterinary Hospital apologized or claimed responsibility for what happened to his jaw. They did do x-rays on his jaw free but Geez that is the least they could do. They charged us for the rest of it, though, around $700.00. We had to give him fluids through a syringe every day for the rest of his life to keep him hydrated and to keep his kidneys from working as good as they could. There is a test that the Veterinarians do not to tell you about, it is a called Titer (Tighter) test. It measures your pet’s immune system level. A rabies shot is a booster shot that boosts your pet’s immune system. Every 3 years your pet is supposed to get this shot but sometimes this shot is in their system for 7 to 10 years. Therefore, your pet should not need a shot. Unless the Titer (Tighter) test is done, you never know what their immune system level is and unless you know that, the Vet will give them a booster weather they need it or not. I never knew about the Titer test. The Vets never told me about it and I think if Poncho would have had it, it would have saved his life. The shot he got was directly responsible for his death. I blame the Veterinarian’s for not giving us the option to get this Titer (Tighter) test. He was too small of an animal to have all those vaccinations in him. Poncho was like a baby to us and our hearts are broken because he is gone. We lost him August 14, 2017. A part of us is gone forever. Please, if you love your pets, do not believe that you have to give your pets these vaccinations every year or 3 years. Have the Vets give them a Titer (Tighter) test to see if they need them. Go on the Internet, look it up, and be informed. It has been almost 4 months this we lost Poncho and the pain and hurt is still here. I confronted the Imlay City Vet about the Titer test and they told me “The State doesn’t recognize the Titer Test”. OMG, they are more concerned about what the State of Michigan thinks than the health of our pets. The only thing they told me after asking about the Titer Test and how the Rabies booster destroyed his kidneys was, “He had weak kidneys”, unbelievable. No compassion, No responsibility for what happened to him. My wife has just learned of two more pet owners that lost their pet or had them harmed because of this Vet. One said the vet killed their pet but WE don’t know why yet and the other said that they took their dog in because it had a haze over its eyes. The Vet refused to see the dog and by the time they got him into another vet, he was blind. We do not need Vets like this taking care of our pets.
