Amzaing doctors! Each veterinarian I've had the pleasure of seeing is very thorough and provided above and beyond the care and attention you would hope to receive for your puppy!

This was my cats 1 yr check-up for well care. The vet, Dr Schoenhut was excellent calming both kitty and kitty mom. Though their services re on the higher cost side, you do get what you pay for. When Ozzie first came home he had upper respiratory thing and what I call kennel crud they were on the phone with me daily diagnosing, treating,!offering commen sensical and sound medial advice. There was no charge for that time and care and so I feel it more than balanced this out. I highly recommend this practice.

I've been the "father" of 2 fuzzy patients of Symphony Vet Center for many, many years (since before the move to their current location). They have always been thorough, caring, and knowledgable. One thing to note: They actually have competitive pricing on prescription cat food. Why do I bring this up? Because it shows that they're not trying to price-gauge their worried pet-parents who are clearly in a bit of an emotional state after taking their "children" to the vet. They are honorable and fair. To further drive this home, I've even spoken to my vet in a pinch for advice, and was not charged for the telephone consultation. Simply put: Symphony Vet Center is amazing.

My long-time vets at Symphony Veterinarian made an emergency appointment for my newly-adopted kitty Daphne, who just came home from the big-city ACC shelter and was sneezing, drooling and coughing. So grateful for the prompt appointment, and kitty got a diagnosis (common shelter-cat respiratory virus), complete exam, fluids to help her recover, and prophylactic antibiotic to ward off secondary infections. Wonderful, excellent and comprehensive care!

Such a refreshing change from other clinics we've been to! Dr. Campbell really listened to concerns and compassionately described options. Her vast knowledge was evident and she accurately diagnosed and has effectively treated sweet Maggie. We are so grateful for such a great clinic you can trust!!!

We love Symphony and our dog Quincy's vet Dr. Sarah Schoenhut! She's been a caring service provider to our puppy and a wonderful support to us as concerned puppy parents through vaccinations and consultations about minor issues that have come up. Quincy loves her! The availability of weekend and after work hours is especially helpful. And Dr. Schoenhut is also responsive via email. We've had very positive experiences and recommend the practice and Dr. Schoenhut.

We've only ever had rabbits as pets, so I don't know anything about how they treat other animals, but the care and attention we've received over the life spans of six rabbits has been outstanding.

My daughter and I went here for a regular check up for our rabbit. The staff and the vet were friendly and pleasant. The vet (Dr. Scholt) was also gentle and thorough. It was our first visit, but we are going to continue to bring our bunny here, because veterinary clinic we have visited.

As a neurotic owner of a dog prone to health issues, Symphony is always super sympathetic while providing excellent care. I can't even walk past here without my dog trying to pull me inside, he really loves everyone who works here. Completely disagree with anyone who says that their staff is rude or surly, the front desk went out of their way to call me earlier than they had planned following a surgery just to let me know everything was ok because they knew how upset I was when I dropped him off. I've been most impressed with the lack of upselling- it seems that every other vet I've been to tries to sell you prescriptions or services you don't really need, whereas Symphony will take the time to discuss what's best for your pet, and has never pushed back when I've refused a vaccine or course of treatment.

I love Symphony Vet. They were suggested to me by my dog walker 4-5 years ago and they have been great. The thing I am most grateful for is that they won't perform surgery, or putting my dog out, unless absolutely necessary. They truly love him. Despite all the shots and having his teeth pulled, he still wags his tail when walking in and can't wait to greet everyone!

Glenda Filian

The first Vet that is so clean.. Prices are expensive but you want your pets safe and healthy... Worth even cent...

Had an extremely positive experience here and thought I would come here to say "thanks". My small dog ("Cody") got into a little scuffle at the 72nd dog run. It appeared that he ripped his dew claw and I didn't know what to do. I called Symphony Vet and they said to bring him in, and they gave me an appointment that day. They have a very nice and convenient space. Dr. Ma saw Cody quickly, cut off the torn nail, and gave me expert advice and patiently answered my questions. And then she gave Cody a treat. Very warm, personal, and knowledgeable service. Thank you Dr. Ma and Symphony Vet Center!!!

This place did not see my cat because I was 10 min late (due to my cat hiding because she hates the carrier and parking situations). I had called and informed them I was running late. This is a place that I donated all kinds of stuff to in the past and had been seeing them for a couple years. I couldn’t believe they couldn’t make an exception, especially given that one time they were running late in seeing me and I was completely understanding about it. . Anyway it ended up working out because Heart of Harlem has great veterinarians and is more reasonably priced.

Stephanie Loving-Ruth

This is the best vets office around. We have been taking both our dogs here for years. Each and every person at Symphony Vet is wonderful, caring and friendly.

Cavernous pan Asian eatery in trendy Williamsburg. Great ambiance and tasty Asian cuisine at a reasonable price. Caters to a twenty something crowd. Active well stocked bar with many specialty drinks on the menu. The Volcanic chicken was tasty and was a more than generous serving and the spring rolls were delicious.

They provide great care, when you board your pets and their veterinarians are passionate, however their staff turnover way too often in my opinion.

So far so good. The vets seem to care about our pets but this place is just so overpriced. Also, we did a stool test for our dog to look for parasires/ova and they never got back to me with results. I had to go out and seek the results. The vet promptly replied to my emails but I wish they'd called.

At Symphony Vet, This seems like the only place where the vets actually seem to care at all. This is the Vet clinic I go to now, instead of my old place where I went. The employees work hard, but also seem like real people, not just mindless workers. Dr. Campbell (the main vet) is very compassionate and is the best doctor I've met. 11/10 stars. Hope this convinces you to go here, they are amazing.

My cat, Alphie, is almost 18 years old and she has been exceptionally well cared for by Symphony Vet since she was a kitten. She now has chronic kidney disease, which is common in cats her age, but it is being very well controlled by the excellent doctors at Symphony and she is in good health. These folks are first-rate and highly recommended!

Laura Hammer

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Levinson. She had been tending to my cat for 12+ years (unfortunately my cat has recently passed due to illness and old age) but from the beginning Dr. Levinson has been helpful, thorough and supportive for this past decade- even until the very end when my cat became very ill. Even after the passing of my cat this past month, she was kind enough to send a note sending her condolences. I was touched by her personal card. She went really out of her way and I truly appreciate it! She is one of a kind- a true class act!

Symphony vet center is hands down the best place to take your pet in the whole of Manhattan. The staff is courteous, prompt, and BEYOND knowledgeable. Dr. Campbell is in a whole class of her own. She truly cares about her patients and she is dedicated to finding the best possible treatment for cats, dogs, even rabbits and chinchillas. Dr. Levison is equally as wonderful and has proved time and again to be a caring and talented vet for all the animals she works with. If I could provide 6/5 stars, I would. These ladies are the best.

I do not use this Vet but many of my clients do. I have many interactions with this facility and every time with great satisfaction. I own an Animal Psychology Center in Westchester county with many clients in NYC. The people who work at Symphony consistently for have always show knowledge of the problem at hand. Patience in explaining to the pet owners until their is a true understanding of the issue at hand. Scheduling that has always been done so your wait is short and the lobby is not more stressful for your four legged friend due to be crowded with other pets. I recomment Symphony to all my clients and when ever I am asked for my expertise in choosing a vet.

Leanne S

Year ago, I used to visit Symphony Vet at their old location. Dr. Campbell was my vet then. She knows more about rabbits than any practitioner I have ever encountered and she really hung in there when my one rabbit was having persistent tummy issues. After filing her teeth twice with no results, Dr. C recommended a diet change -- no carrots (because they can cause gas and discomfort). That did the trick and my sweet bunny was healthy for many years afterwards. No more breadloafing (that's the bunny tummy-ache posture)! I now have two puppies and continue to receive quality care from Dr. C. and her team. We commute a long way to bring our pups there but I really trust Symphony Vet Center completely. They are warm, knowledgable, patient, and the practice runs smoothly with few delays. If you want a knowledgeable and kind vet, bring your pets here.

Wonderful vet. My dog has been a patient here for his 4 years and I've always had a great experience with them. My dog usually doesn't enjoy it but that's not their fault! They've helped me travel internationally with him and it all went off without a hitch.

Daniel Caplan

Easy, affordable, and high level of care for our puppy. Haven't had to wait either. Dr. Carol Ma is great with our dog :)

Dr. Deborah Levison saved my dog! It is an eleven years old Mexican Hairless dog, which got Pyometra, a life threatening infection. I was so affraid my dog wouldn't resist the surgery. I spoke to many vets offices in NY. All of them were so ambicious, inanimate and unsensible. Dr. Levison was not only responsive, empathic and clear, but also did a perfect surgery. She is so professional and human. She saved my dog's life!! Ever since, to me, she is the only option in such a tough city. Thank you Dr. Levison, hope you get back all that happiness and relieve you have spread around.

Just started using this vet. After 4 years of another vet doing endless tests on my geriatric cat and not coming to any real diagnosis or helping his issues, this vet gave me great advice and meds that helped without expensive testing. Friendly staff and not a long wait.

Every interaction with Symphony Vet Center is wonderful. I have a rabbit, and they are attentive and knowledgeable. Thank you to Dr. Levison, Dr. Campbell, Maria, and all the other staff :) I cannot recommend Symphony enough!!

Would give zero stars if possible. We walked in after our dog was bitten in Central Park by another dog. Julio at the front desk did not even look up from his tablet and told us right away they had no available appointments and there was no chance for a vet to see us. All this without even taking a look at the massive, bleeding bite wound and without so much as double checking with the vet. He seemed to be more concerned with the tv show on his iPad than showing any kind of empathy. It’s hard to believe this guy works in a profession that cares for animals. We were terrified for our dog and Julio was acting like the most heartless human being we could have come in contact with. We ran out of that practice and quickly headed to Gotham Vet Center where we had a completely different experience. They took us in right away, even though they didn’t have an available appointment for the next couple of hours, recognizing that it was a real emergency. The vet squeezed us in and she quickly and efficiently took care of our dog and we left feeling absolutely relieved. We never got to meet the vet at Symphony, but with Julio at the front desk, we don’t even want to. I can’t imagine an animal care facility that would ever hire a guy who cares so little about other people and their pets. Truly sad that he is the first face you come in contact with at this practice.

Love these guys. We’ve been patients for over 20 years and keep coming back. Really miss Dr Campbell!

Have had Symphony care for our cats for several decades. It's well run and easy to deal with. We particularly like Dr. Campbell who takes the time to explain what's going on and is very sympathetic to both humans and felines. I'm often surprised by vet costs, though I doubt that here they are out of (modern) line. Highly recommended.

Caring vet care

The vet was nice but put my diabetic cat on way too high of an insulin dosage and he ended up going into hypoglycemic shock and stopped breathing and moving one night at home. A trip to the animal hospital at 1am and over $1,800 later, I learned the almost fatal flaw. According to the animal hospital, the vet recommended a dosage 4 times higher than he should have been taking! Beware. The vets here are good with routine checkups, but nothing more complicated than vaccines and deworming.

Daniel McCauley

Former employee of symphony vet and I have to say that the care has fallen apart and all based on money.its only a good perception that you see.i built the beautiful cat room and it was ruined because they wanted to put cats with ringworm in the window and spreading it to other kittens.my advice stay away don't believe me as ask.plus the Drs don't even do details on the animals.

If I could give a negative star review I would. Years ago my dog was misdiagnosed as having breast cancer and two separate surgeries were recommended to be scheduled immediately, to the tune of $4000. Something didn’t feel right so I got a second opinion. Her nipples were discharging some fluid and that’s why I brought her in. The truth was that her memory glands were simply active because I had not spayed her. I will forever be grateful to a holistic pet supply center in the East Village for steering me in the right direction and saving my baby from two unnecessary surgeries, as well as saving me $4000. At the time I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau site where they were very popular... I honestly just Googled the place to see if they were still in business because the nightmare was brought up by friend of mine. Shocked to see the place is still in business, but I know how they at least sometimes do business. Yikes. The Humane Society is fabulous. I’ve had a relationship with them for 20 years and regret having gone elsewhere...

Such a wonderful place, they always take great care of my rabbit. So fortunate to have found it.

There are MUCH better vet offices out there. Three different vets at this dumb office misdiagnosed my dogs “tumor” at this practice. Mrs SchoenNut is definitely the dumbest of them all. When I brought my dog in she made his symptoms 10x worse and even started picking and squeezing at his tumor. Like seriously ?? This “vet” has zero education and has no idea what she is doing. I highly doubt she even has any real education which is why I refuse to call her a doctor or even a veterinarian. Oh and don’t even bother emailing her for any follow up advice on how to correct the swelling she caused on your dog...she simply denies all responsibility and refers you to an oncologist!! Total idiot. I recommend going to a holistic vet, a REAL vet. They actually are educated on nutrition and can Actually help your pet. Where as these people are typical cookie cutter Western medicine people who literally don’t know what they’re doing and just like to refer you to blue pearl. Don’t bother coming here for anything they literally have no idea what they are doing especially SchoenNut

I've been taking our dog Rosie to Symphony since she was a puppy. Both Dr. Campbell and Dr. Levison have taken care of her over the years and we love them both. We have also met their new Vet on an occasion where we could not get into see either of our regular doctors and she also showed the same care and concern for Rosie. I love how efficient they are. I wish my own doctor ran on time like they do. As far as pricing goes, I think it's fair and worth it. We've never been disappointed in the care!

Excellent care. Dr. Whiddington was very concerned and solicitous and helped me to think through many care options for our senior dog. We've always taken our dogs there and we've never been disappointed at the level of care.

Great vet & visit!

Julian Laboriel

On Saturday at 2:00pm, me and my sisters came here for the first time to check on my one year old rabbit Rosita. For the past two weeks she has been bleeding through her uterus/butthole and we were concern with what has been happening. Rosita sees the vet (I’m not going to put her name out there due to respect) to examine her and ask me questions of what have been concerning me with her. I told her (and even told the operator on the phone) that she has been bleeding between her uterus/butthole. She checks Rosita, explains to me and my sisters about improving on her diet, saying that “She’s healthy” and telling me to take pictures of her urine/waste to send it to her email (which I tried to contact her, but never worked after I tried sending the picture four hours after the appointment). What stood out to me about her checking Rosita is that she didn’t asked if I wanted her to observe her stomach through ultrasound or if I wanted her to check her blood on any signs of her having any type of disease maybe in her intestines causing her to bleed while peeing or pooping. Instead, she suggests me to give her a medicine to stop the bleeding (since I showed a picture through google that looks similar to Rosita’s waste). After that, she and one of the nurses trimmed Rosita’s nails, made us wait to pay the bill and gave me the medication for Rosita. Then we left and I contacted them the first time through their contact area to send a email (this was last Saturday). Five days later, I contacted the veterinary to inform them that Rosita hasn’t been eating or wanting to drink her medicine since last night and today this morning. I’m thinking that one of the people working in that field would inform Rosita’s doctor immediately. Four hours later, I take out Rosita because she looks really dizzy and I was worried. Rosita goes to a spot near the outside of her cage and starts bleeding rapidly/collapsed. I immediately called my mom to inform her and the moment I was about to call the vet, Rosita had a seizure/is bleeding more. I tried to comfort her and find the vets number on my phone. About 30 seconds to a minute later, Rosita died bleeding to death. I do not want any other pet owner (especially rabbit pet owners) to go through what I went through. If you want to go to a vet, try exotic vets or try a vet where the vet hospital seems to show interest towards their patients, makes sure to write or give their contacts before you leave instead of being money hungry to do a “half job”, so you can comeback with your pet(s) when it’s late. I definitely will not comeback here and will inform other people to do the same... R.I.P Rosita.
