Great doctors!
All the staff was very friendly, the service is super professional. Definitely recommended
This Vet is absolutely worth going to. The attention given to my dog was outstanding and prices were affordable. I am so happy I brought my dog here. They prescribed medicine for our dog and overnight, he has been doing way better than before. Thank you to Dr. Ken and all of the staff there.
Went to see this group today to establish my two cats with a new vet. The entire staff and the vet were super nice and helpful! I definitely felt like my kitties were in good hands and I intend on returning in the future for all of my cats' needs!

The doctors, techs and staff here are great. Two months ago I brought my beloved Sebastian in on an emergency basis, gasping for breath and hardly able to stand. After testing it turned out he has a severe heart condition. He spent the afternoon in an oxygen cage and received wonderful care that afternoon. In the evening, I brought a partially recovered Sebastian home with me. SInce then he has been put on a "cocktail" of heart meds and the pup who could barely walk is back to his bouncy, mischievous self. Sebastian is fourteen and a half and I know what will happen inevitably but now his quality of life great and I am thankful for every great day he has.
If you value the well-being and health of your animal, do not take them here. I brought my cat in to see Dr. Loomis with clear signs of kidney disease complications. I even had her records from her last vet faxed over days before that described how she had been having kidney issues for years. Dr. Loomis spent about 5 minutes looking at my cat before declaring she just had a tooth infection and had the tech take her in the back for blood work (even though she had the blood work from only 2 weeks prior in her hand) and some medicine. The medicine, I later found out, was just a half tablet of Pepcid, something you can get 60 servings for $15 at any Duane Reade, but she charged me $80 for 1 serving. But, ultimately, the price gouging was not the main issue. A simple Google search will tell you this medicine is HIGHLY dangerous for cats with chronic kidney disease...something I didn't think to do until it was too late. Less than two weeks later I was forced to rush my kitty to an emergency clinic where it was discovered that, due to the medicine Dr. Loomis had given, my cat's kidneys had completely failed and she was in extreme pain. I had to put my baby down much sooner than I would have if I hadn't taken her here. It cost me $400 for negligent care that tortured and ultimately killed my cat.
Great vet place! We took our cat here because she had a cloudy eye and the vet was very helpful in reassuring us that she'd be fine, and even going above and beyond by checking out other symptoms on other parts of our cat. The house cat was a sweetie, and the tall nurse with the dreadlocks (forgot his name) was super sweet to our cat. 10/10 would come here again, but hopefully our cat is healthy enough to not need to!
I was so impressed with Dr. Loomis. She was very professional and genuinely kindhearted with my cat. She put me at ease and won me over as a client!
From Tiffany in the front to the techs and doctors in the back, you feel instantly that these are people who love pets and enjoy what they do. I felt very comfortable leaving the health of my beloved Sammy cat in their care. Highly recommend.
Definitely get Dr Nicholson! Boomi was booked with Dr. Magda for the first exam. When I told her about my dog's smelly ears she wiped his ears and waved it off as dirt. She also made me come back the next week to get the rest of the shots, I suspect so I'd get charged for another doing nothing exam that costs $100 dollars. When Boomi went back to the vet three weeks later he had scratched his ears so much there were two bald patches behind his ears. I told Dr Nicholson maybe it's allergies and I'm switching diets for Boomi, he said it's actually an ear infection, took cultures to confirm and prescribed medication. Thanks to Dr Magda, Boomi suffered 3 weeks with an ear infection
The service was outstanding Dr. thomache was amazing, front desk receptionist was also amazing. Every single person in the facility was amazing. The doctor and the assistant heard all my concerns and immediately went to work to make my puppy feel better. I highly recommend them and the prices were affordable.
Place is filthy, front desk is extremely rude, technician is weird, and vets are beyond incompetent. No one here even seems to like animals. Do yourself a favor and bring your pet somewhere else.
Great services. My dog had skin allergies for a long time and the Veterinarian here was able to isolate the cause and treat it quite effectively. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable.
Amazing staff, Amazing Service, and top tier facilities and equipment. They were extremely helpful and even gave me a generous amount of free samples of pet food to try out that could help alleviate his issues. They were courteous and prompt with service and made me and my cat feel like the only patients being seen.
they good pretty far from me
Clean, nice, friendly. First visit was free I will be back.
our dog injured her foot on a holiday weekend. no other vet office was so we went to vca. not only were they friendly, nice and welcoming -- they were able to see our dog on a holiday weekend, saving us the huge cost of going to a 24-hr emergency care place. they were willing to stay open late to see us or open early the next morning for us if we couldn't wait. i havent had that kind of service with my own doctor! nothing but outstanding service. they vet was wonderful. the staff gave us a discount -- even though we didn't know about the coupon on their website, they helped us out. the office was clean. the vet was well informed and went above and beyond to help our dog. prices were reasonable. the office is part of VCA which is nationwide. we used VCA in LA too and had nothing but the best experience and service
The doctors and assistants are amazing with the pets!! I love my cat's doctor, he is super competent, thorough, and amazing with him. I did have one problem there with waiting time - and one woman said I had to keep the cat inside his travelling bag (which he hates) and forced him into the bag :(
Nice, available. Understanding. Great!
You know your pet is in good hands as soon as you arrive

Went with my Dog ace for a check up. They are very nice and informative. Highly recommend.
They know what they're talking
VCAs Animal Hospital Manhattan branch was beyond compassionate they allowed me to stay hours on end with Nefertiti as she received her circulatory heat therapy and various treatments along with other perks. Despite they had mixed reviews it must've been the negativity of the pet owners! When I saw how the whole staff treated my baby I was literally in more tears...she is home with me now and I'm hoping for the best! Thanks for everyone that understands the seriousness of having a connection with a pet and checked. I would highly recommend VCA Animal Hospitals!
I have been taking our dogs there for years. Lovely staff, wonderful doctors.
Ladies at the Front Desk we’re so nice. I brought my cat here for a check up, and when we came back home her eye was swollen and inflamed. I called the office and they told me to come back, and so I did. They have my cat some Benadryl and apologized for the inconvenience. The doctor I had first seen had brought another doctor in with him, kind of like a student and teacher relationship.
Took my pup in for his FREE first check up today and they were absolutely excellent. Checked him all over, answered my questions, gave me loads of great advice and even gave him a free heartworm + flea/tick treatment. If you've just got a pup and want some piece of mind that they're healthy then this free first visit is a no-brainer.
Good friendly staff , Good doctor's that care for your pets
Horrible management!
They are very welcoming and kind. They treated my dog great. I received a follow-up phone call from them to check on the progress he was making.
Fast and efficient service. Not the most personable and pretty pricey but clearly very knowledgeable.
The care that our very sick chihuahua received there was amazing. Dr. Kenneth Nicolson took so much time with us and even called after we got home to check up on her. Technicians Maureen and Jennifer were terrific - Maureen even taught me how to get pills down a not very cooperative dog! We received excellent care and compassion.
Wonderful place
They are so nice
Great vets
They cared about my concerns and helped me so much. I felt good with my dogs care in their hands
A bit pricey
I recently lost my beloved English Bulldog Penelope, and after all the $$$ I spent I wasn't about to pass up a free vet visit to the MVG when I rescued Tulip from the ACC. I didn't expect much from a free visit in the way of time, diligence or competence; I was just looking to get antibiotics for what I suspected was kennel cough. I am so pleased to have had an appointment with Dr. Ann "Halle" Thomasch. She was thorough, empathetic, and knowledgable. Most importantly she took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. I was not rushed out and I wasn't "upsold" for erroneous tests. Tulip and I will definitely be going back. I was also pleased to learn that Dr. Thomasch has experience with female dogs who have given birth, as Tulip was most likely used as a breeding machine and dumped at the shelter, still lactating. A lot of vets in the area never deal with animals who aren't spayed and have no idea what to look for in regards to postnatal care.
I took my Guineapig there nice staff but not very knowledgeable, appointments are fast and easy
Diagnosed my cat with a parasite and provided prescription of Albom but even though there’s $137.50 left on my certificate, they won’t let me use it to pay for a follow up fecal analysis. I am happy that my cat is better b/c of the Diagnosis and prescription but technician tried to stick a thermometer up my defenseless cat’s butt.
I asked for sedation pricing before booking, and the receptionists response was literally: "Ma'am do you wanna book an appointment or not, I don't have pricing, I'm by myself and I have three people on hold." Um. No. No thank you. I was literally on the phone for 30 seconds. If I could give negative starts, I would. My baby needs care and all I wanted was a price before I brought her in. wow.
The staff is excellent and the veterinarians are amazing. Dr. Tomasch is fantastic and highly recommended to anyone looking for a vet.
Manhattan Veterinary Group is wonderful! The staff is very friendly and the doctor I see, Dr. Thomasch, is so kind. She is always excited to see my cat and is willing to answer any questions I have. Very personable and makes the entire process so easy. Highly recommend!
Service and people are great
Great professional staff wonderful service
Small clinic with great vets, friendly staff, and reasonable fees.
Came here with the emergency, my dog was choking and I was so afraid she could die , so I told receptionist that, who responded that they are fully booked but since that’s an emergency she has to ask doctor if she could see my dog . When she went in to ask , what I heard doctor said shocked me to my very core !!! I heard her saying that SHE DOESNT CARE if some dog is having an emergency!!! receptionist was more polite and just said they couldn’t see my dog today . But their doors are not soundproof !!! So think before taking your precious pet to the vet who DOESNT CARE!!! Shocking experience!
This Place is amazing. The take good care of your pet and answer all your questions. I recommend this to everyone :)
Everyone was nice from the receptionist on the phone and in person to the nurses and doctors. They took good care of my kittens and answered all my questions. I did find it pricey but I've never visited other veterinarians in Manhattan so it might not actually be.
I took my pug here on March 30th, 2019 for a routine nail trim and anal gland expression. The vet tech was just horrible. Supposedly she did the anal glands first then attempted to trim his nails. She quicked one nail and returned him to my boyfriend bleeding everywhere with all other nails untrimmed. She then told him to “put some cornstarch on it when you get home” and left it at that. My boyfriend paid the bill, and left with my dog bleeding the whole 20 minute walk home. One week later, my dog developed an anal gland infection that required emergency vet care. We took him somewhere else and will never go back. BEWARE of this practice.
Dr.Nicholson is thorough and very good with animals. He was nice and so was his student (although his student missed one of my cats nails when she was cutting them and I didn’t find out until I got scratched by that uncut nail at home). The front desk is very friendly and the vets actually call you back when you have a concern about your animal. The vets also approve online orders quickly. However, it’s too expensive for me to continue taking my cat here. It’s $110 for a visit plus the cost of medicine and tests. A stool test costs $88 and a ringworm test which I couldn’t afford to do for my cat was $180 extra. They are very nice people and Dr.Nicholson in my opinion is the best vet there who you should absolutely book with if you can afford this place. I have to switch to a more affordable vet office because this place is too expensive.
Compassionate staff,stiff pricing
Most unprofessional, From the lady at the front desk front desk to both doctors! Always Flustered, uncaring no follow calls. My puppy was spayed , looks like a 3rd grader did the stitches. Super long incision approximately 5 inchs of Jaggery stitches. Go to a different veterinarian Group, do not buy their package.
CAUTION: QUESTION EVERYTHING LEST YOU BE TAKEN FOR MORE TESTS, MORE PROCEDURES, MORE MONEY When I first got my puppy, I took him to Dr. Loomis for his first exam. She reported that he had a loose tooth which needed to be extracted. She said he could get the blood work done that day and the tooth extracted soon after. She also said he might need braces!!!! Seriously? I smelled a rat, did not succumb to the pressure, and passed. I went home and phoned the breeder, an older woman who has a farm in the Midwest and has been around animals all of her life. She said to let nature take its course -- that the tooth would fall out on its own. Sure enough, the tooth fell out over the next few days.
I have seen several of the Vets at this practice. I started bringing my little baby there for about years since I moved uptown. I have confidence in them, and they have always taken care of him well. Also very friendly staff.
I really like the receptionists that work there .. all the people are friendly and they always answer the phone the doctors explain everything nicely to you about your pet ...
Great experience. Have been bringing my pups since they were young.
Cost to much

Expensive but a class act.
