Totally incompetent staff!!I made an appt for a pet I just adopted, arrived 25 mins prior and was told I didn't have an appt, then they check further an say I made my appt at the Webster site, i tell them the number I called then the girls say I took your appt, the phone must have transferred. Then she basically says there is nothin I can do, just go to Webster or I can try and squeeze you in tomorrow. Their error now become my problem but never again!

I don't care how good you are, when you make people waiting for 5 hours to be seen , than you loose that type of respect. Inside look like busy zoo, peoples and their pets become anctiuous and frustrated... Completely under staffed , staffed look completely depressed due to the packed waiting room area..... Bring your pet only if you have nearly death situation ....

This is the most reasonably priced Veterinary clinic that we have ever used, as they only charge for procedures and do not tack on additional hundreds for the examination. We had all of our now 9 month old puppy's shots done here, boosters for our 4 year old, as well as care for her hot spot and ear yeast infection. I like all 3 vets who we have interacted with here, and none have been judgmental about raw feeding, which is a pleasant surprise.

I had a 17 year old Maltese that just had to be put to sleep and the people At Bronx Veterinary Center was so compassionate to me and my wife they know who I am once they read this post I cannot thank them enough to help us get through the task of putting my dog down after so many years she meant so much to me and my wife we never had children and these people should be commended for the job that they do they're the best in the Bronx as far as I'm concerned God bless you all and thank you

This vet was close to my house so I decided to take my new puppy to them. There is ALWAYS a wait. I have been there three times and all three times I have waited at least 2 hours for a 10 min visit. The first time I went I was seen by a vet student. It was only for a vaccine so I didn't mind that. The second time was because my pup was having a skin issue. I explained the issue to the vet tech while we were waiting for Dr. Vyorst and she spoke to Dr. Vyorst when he finally entered the room. He was in the room for no more than 5 mins and not once spoke or looked in my direction-I was holding my dog.. The third and last time I went to this office was a complete joke. Their systems had went down and I waited an hour an a half just to pay- in CASH! I was finally able to leave when I started complaining about waiting and insisted they figure out the charges for my visit. By that time I had been there over 3 hours and the place had gotten so packed there was barely anywhere for a human to stand let alone animals. My pup was losing it. I decided to switch and I am so glad I did. The treatment Dr. Vyorst gave for the skin issue was not working and it turned out to be something completely different then what he was treating her for. Maybe if he had took a second to really look at my dog or speak to me, he could've figured out what was actually wrong with her.

Going to Bronx Veterinary of Westchester sq for a second opinion was the best choice! Not only is there establishment beautiful and super clean the staff is extremely friendly and kind. The Vet is amazing and off the jump I felt as if he was looking out for what was best for my dog. I was recommended to come here by a friend and it was the best decision I’ve made!! I had previously went to the Morris Park animal hospital where i had taken My dog to walk in to get treated for a anal gland abscess I payed $138. After 10 days and being told to just feed my dog antibiotics without cleaning or touching the wound, my dog relapsed right when it almost healed and I was charged another $16 when I took her to the follow up. Where the Vet insisted my pet needed surgery to remove the gland immediately “if I love my pet” are the exact words he used, he hardly even cleaned the abscess that day and charged me $16

I will go to this vet for checkups for my pet because the vet is good....but will never again do surgery as they send the pets to the Webster Ave location. I took my cat to the Webster Ave location for surgery, she died on the table and I only found out because I called to ask for an update. I requested documentation regarding my cats surgery which they still have not provided. My cat passed 1/25, today is 2 months later and they still have not provided what I asked for and have been ignoring my emails for the past month. NEVER WILL DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN CHECK UPS HERE...and I advise the same for others. My dog now needs surgery and I will he taking her to another vet in Long island...yes I would rather drive an hour to do a surgery than drive 15 minutes away and do the surgery with them.

I would definitely recommend the Bronx Veterinary Center to anyone that has a pet. The doctors are excellent and explain everything to you thoroughly. They are very caring and show a lot of compassion. The staff is amazing. They are very passionate.

Please do not bring your animals here this location has very unqualified vets. Definitely does not do well at representing this practices main location on Webster where I have always had a great experience with vet Katz and Vyort. The vet Atlee Douglas didn't introduce himself and vaccinated my puppy with out my consent. his explanation was "Don't worry you can start the whole process over" this was such a violation of patient trust. DON'T BRING YOUR PETS HERE.

Saw Dr. Katz for the first time to get a pregnancy test for my Yorkie and I was very happy that he examined her and said it was a false pregnancy. He tried to discouraged me from getting a $110. test because he guaranteed by his exam that she wasn't. I had to convince him to do it anyway so I could be sure and he was correct.

Everyone at this Westchester square location was extremely helpful when bringing in my puppy for his annual vaccines. The receptionists were very responsive, answered any and all questions that I had regarding my pet.The manager Mychaela was exceptional especially since it was a busy time of the day and had many other clients to take care of. She made all of us clients feel welcomed and important. I was taken care of in a timely manner and I would recommend this location to all of my friends and family.

Actually very shocked to see so many good reviews. This may be a little long. But worth it to save someone else a headache. So my cat had been very sick and we took her to this vet recommended by a friend. They took blood, gave us some medicine and $500 later we didn’t have any answers. They told us the results would come tomorrow and they never called. The following day, I called them, they told me they didn’t have the results yet. The next day they call me that they will call me later. Finally the doctor calls and he’s speaking in doctor language about the cats level this and that. I had no idea what he was talking about so I said I would come in and speak to him In person. We pick up the results and basically my cats kidneys are failing, but with a special diet, she can get better. This is what we are told. They tell us bring her back on Saturday and so we go and the doctor is not even in!!! My cat is severely dehydrated. She’s still throwing up, not eating, not drinking. And anytime I call, these people just keep saying “oh that’s normal” ummm no that is not!! We spent so much money and these people didn’t even give us a plan on how to care for our cat!! They just keep saying to put her on the diet (which we have to wait for) but if she isn’t eating what am i supposed to do? Wait till she dies?! Please do not go here! I went to another vet and all I did was ask questions. I got more information in 15 minutes then I have gotten in over a week with these people. They were also nice enough to give us some food to give her while waiting for her special food. UPDATE: my cat has passed away this morning. I wish there was more that would have been done.

My sisters dog was very sick and was taken to this Veterinary Center. The dog was diagnosed with diabetes. We were told to bring the dog to the hospital for a three stay. They are left alone, everyone goes home at 7pm and the animals remain alone in urine and feces. This center should be closed for cruelty to animals. After $1,600 later we were told to have the dog put down because there was no hope. We took the dog home and the dog is doing much better after being home. The Vet did not even call to find out how the pooch was doing after being released. This place is not suited for dogs. I will tell all my friends how horrible it is and make sure that everyone knows the terrible treatment.

I've been a client for sometime now however my complaint strives on the over pricing of the meds and also the phone system they have. I was there yesterday with my dog the meds prescribed was Clavamox 62.5 14 tablets I was charged 44.00 dollars for a med that costs no more than 17.00 . Why charge 3 times more than what it actually costs is it because of the pet parents desperation. Same happened several months ago with vetroquinol nutri cal regular price is between 7.50 to 9.50 I ended up paying around 20. I like the vet and how they treat my dog I don't appreciate being overcharged.

Was just there this morning to double check that Champagne could now be groomed (after months of holding off due to issues she was having and trimming her myself, lol) officially. Champagne loves the attention she gets from everyone and was getting so many back rubs (which she LOVES) I thought she might now want to leave. Thank you everyone! P.s. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE.. not for anything more than routine vaccination anyway. YOUR PET WILL DIE. I know this is long but you need to read this if you plan to take your loved one here. I brought my dog in there a few months ago and had him have a blood exam. I was ecstatic at the friendly service and cheap prices. Then, I was woken up to a call a few days later from the receptionist saying “unfortunately... we lost the bloodwork”. First off, how?!! Second, imagine how my heart jumped when this poorly trained soul began her sentence with the word “unfortunately”.. Anyway, she told me to bring the dog back and they wouldn’t charge for the bloodwork again. I did not bring the dog back for a few months because at this point, it was only a routine visit. Then, my dog became constipated. I brought him in after a few days of him straining (yet, still pooping slightly). It turns out, my bloodwork was located but no one ever called me about it. However, the results were invalid because they were too old. Another blood test was recommended and they charged me for it!!!! On top of this, Dr. Katz shook our hands like he never met us before. He seemed to have no recollection of us or our dog- how do you not remember your patients? I also had X-rays taken. The doctor assured me that I would have the blood work results by Monday. He also prescribed me a laxative that had a picture of a cat on it without telling me so (the bottle claimed it was for hairballs). I feel like you should warn a customer that the medicine you are prescribing has a picture of a different species on it.... To my surprise, another poorly trained receptionist called me the very next day (it was Saturday) and told me that his fecal test was negative but the doctor would call me back in a few hours to explain the bloodwork to me. Nervously, I replied “oh that must not be good”... and she said “ok, you’ll be hearing from us!”. The doctor never called me back until Monday. I spent all weekend in a panic attack and spoke to numerous different receptionists from both locations who all gave me different stories. However, to my relief, the doctor also said his tests were negative “for the most part”. I told him that my dog was still not defecating properly. He said that he would prescribe me a laxative. I said “you already did that!” This was only a few days prior.. how do you not remember? I hung up the phone and bought him the same laxative again (on amazon for half the price that I paid at the vets). This seemed to help my dog slightly. A few days later, my dog stopped pooping and not wanting to deal with the stress from this vet, I took him to the emergency hospital in Yonkers. After hours of waiting, I got a doctor who told me she just graduated veterinary school two weeks ago. A brief examination later , she told me that my dog probably has cancer. On top of this, he needs an enema and should’ve had one about a week ago (when I first brought him to Dr. Katz of westchester Sq veterinary clinic). She looked at the blood work Dr. Katz took and found that his calcium levels were off (something Dr. Katz did not mention! ) She also found a mass near his anal sac and an enlarge lymph node! What the hell, Dr. Katz? Didn’t you look at the same bloodwork and also take x rays?!! You told me it was only backed up stool in there! My dog did have cancer, and even though he had surgery scheduled this week, he got so bad that we had to put him down before that. We are heartbroken and wish that he could have been more comfortable in the time leading up to his death. Who knows, if we had the correct diagnosis the first time we might have saved him. You should be ashamed of yourself that a brand new veterinary school graduate was able to immediately diagnose my dog. You’re a scam and clearly getting senile.

STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY!!! I took my pit bull here because he injured his leg and does not put weight on it. They told me that they have x ray machines and are able to diagnose him. I went in and agreed to pay the x ray fee. It seems like the Vet only deals with small dogs. He said he was going to examine my dog and really didn’t do anythig but state the obvious. First, he said we’ll have to do an x ray and it’ll cost x amount of dollars. I agreed. Then they said my dog (Who is well behaved) keeps moving his leg and won’t allow them to properly x ray him (I guess it’s the first time in veterinary history a dog moves and there is yet a solution for that). Due to this, he said he’ll cast the leg and will only charge x amount of dollars. I agreed. Then he came out and said you know what, let’s just send him home with no cast and some pain killers, we’ll follow up with you in 2 weeks. I still have not recieved a follow up call nor was I given an appointment. The only call I recieved was to check if he vomited from the medicine. I basically paid $70 to get some pills that cost $10 in petco and a diagnoses that was useless. He was not helpful and seemed incompetent towards dog injuries. It seems like when they’re clueless as to what is going on, they’ll just give you a professional “let’s wait to see if it gets better”. Well my dog is still limping!!! I feel helpless because I went to my local vet and he’s useless. I’m back to square one and all I want is for my dog to walk normal again so he can run and play like he loves to! This establishment it’s just a bunch of money hungry scammers with no true empathy towards your dog or any type of idea on how to use their fancy equipment. I’ve gotten more answers on YouTube then from them!

That really put me at ease! She was so friendly! They all were! For that alone I will be returning for future visits. You can tell the staff really loves animals!
