I cannot say enough great things about this veterinary clinic and if I could give them 10 stars I would! Dr. Shorenstein was on the upper east side (near where I live) and moved here to the west village. I could not think of seeing any other vet so I followed him here. He is the kindest, most caring, compassionate, and SMART person (and vet) I've met in a long time. I have the utmost confidence in his care of my 16 year old dog. Well worth the trip to the west village from the UES. When he was out and Zoe needed to be seen, I saw Dr. DeLorenzo and met another kind, caring, compassionate and smart person/vet.. They are going to do whatever is best for your pet and they referred me to a specialist when necessary. To say I feel blessed to have not one but three amazing professionals taking care of my senior dog is an understatement. I knew Dr. Shorenstein was special as soon as I met him and it only goes to show that he surrounds himself with other very special people. Aging pets (and their owners) need a lot of care and we both get it from these folks. By the way, the staff is fabulous too and their follow up is incredible. I could go on forever with my admiration and gratitude but most people don't read this far so I hope I summed it up in the first sentence. Thank you to all the staff at ASVC!

Our dog Milo has been seeing Dr. Shorenstein at Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic since he first came to us as a puppy. We feel very lucky that we found such a great clinic for our boy. The entire staff at Abingdon Square are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Milo has needed to see someone with very short notice more than once and they have always found a way to make it work. An appointment at ASVC is very low stress and Milo always gets lots of belly rubs and treats. We are never rushed and always feel as that we are being listened to. They truly go above and beyond to make sure you and your pet are comfortable! We are extremely thankful to ASVC for all the love and care they give Milo and recommend them to everyone looking for a good vet in New York City.

Both my dog and I LOVE Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic. She's a puppy, so requires frequent visits to our friends there. She usually sees Dr. Shorenstein, who is fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. Dr. S gave my dog her spay and the results were great, her recovery was a breeze and the post-procedure care was top notch. Everyone I've had the pleasure of meeting there is so friendly & caring. Their entire staff (from receptionists to nurses and doctors) all go the extra mile to make my dog (and - let's be real - me) feel comfortable and safe. They also accommodate last minute appointments and changing schedules which is so helpful and makes pet-parenting that much easier. Would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a great place to bring their furry loved one.

I highly recommend Dr. Shorenstein and Abingdon Square Vet. Dr. Shorenstein has provided our Toy Poodle (Joey) with the best possible care since we brought her in as a puppy. He is an outstanding doctor and is very knowledgeable and thoughtful with his diagnosis. He takes the time to explain things in “plain English” and is very responsive with our follow-up questions. It is obvious that his primary concern is the well being of our dog, which gives us peace of mind knowing that she is in his care. The office staff are very personable and organized. The scheduling is on point since our wait time is never more than 5 minutes. For any emergencies, they will try squeeze us in same day, if possible. They also provide you with a super helpful “welcome package”, which includes emergency numbers, etc. The facilities are very neat and clean. Office hours are great too if you prefer appointments after work or Saturdays.

Dr. Shorenstein and the team at Abingdon Square are nothing short of spectacular! They care greatly about every animal and owner that walks through their door, not only while you're there, but also after you leave. As fellow pet owners know, even the smallest ailment can put you into full panic mode, so having a clinic that is knowledgeable, passionate, attentive and trustworthy goes a long way. I can't recommend ASVC enough (I've told every friend of mine who has a pet regardless if they live in the area). Don't think twice, you'll be putting your best friend in the best hands!

I had, hands down, the best experience here today. Ive lived in NYC for 2 years now without a regular vet clinic. My kitty (Monday) woke up really sick last night/this morning, so my roommate recommended I call ASVC to get an appointment. Was booked for day-of visit right away. When I came in, they already knew it was me! They took Monday’s stool sample, said hello and sent us to our own check-up room. Staff was so incredibly gracious, and sweet to Monday. Once we had a subjective understanding of what needed to happen next, they gave me an estimate and worked with me to figure out what treatments made the most sense to pay for today, based on her conditions and my bank account :) Cannot say enough great things. So thankful I came in. Dr. Goldberg thank you!!

Simply fantastic veterinary practice. Our dog is very, very nervous but the staff here are great with him. They're kind and always take extra time to make you and your pet feel comfortable. They really care about the animals. Highly recommended. (We see Dr Burdon mainly, but have seen other staff there too)

Love the staff - they will love and care for your pet like their own.. go here every year for my cats check up.. had my cats tooth removed here this summer and they even took a photo right after the surgery for you and gave a nice pack for after care... easy to reach on phone and they also return your call on a timely manner when you have questions!!

Dr. Shorenstein has been taking care of our family dogs for years. He finally opened up his own clinic Abingdon Square Vet and we could not be more thrilled! He’s so thorough and cares deeply about our pup. When I have a concern he answers our emails and calls quickly. His office also follows up after a visit to make sure our dog is doing okay and to answer any follow up questions. When our puppy got spayed, she was treated with so much love and the recovery process was seamless. Dr. Shorenstein is also 100 percent honest and before doing any tests tells us if it’s a necessity in order to avoid high billing. I recommend Dr. Shorenstein and his clinic 1000 times over.

We love Abingdon Square Vet and especially Dr. Seaward. Our pup Charlie has been a patient of Dr. Seawards for close to two years now and she has always been so warm with him while also figuring out some tricky issues he has with his kidneys. She's very transparent regarding costs for various procedures or visits and has been easily reachable for follow-up concerns we might have regarding Charlie's health. On top of all that, Charlie basically drags us to Abingdon Square Vet whenever we're in proximity on his walks (which must be a good sign!)

This morning we stumbled upon a wounded baby pigeon on the street in the rain. We took it to the clinic and were welcomed by a sweet assistant and a lovely vet. They immediately took the bird, they were super nice and caring, we knew right away the bird was in good hands! On top of everything it was free of charge (we're tourists) which was so touching and appreciated by us. Thank you so much for the happy ending!!!

I've been bringing my dogs to Dr. DiLorenzo for more than 20 years--even after leaving nyc and moving across the river to Hoboken. Dianne is smart and compassionate, a great diagnostician and a strong advocate for her patients--even when it's hard for her human clients to hear. Although I prefer to see Dianne, I've been just as pleased with her associates, and the support staff are terrific--patient and good-natured and devoted to their work. A fantastic veterinary clinic.

I am so glad we found Abington Square. Prices are comparable to other vets in the area, but service is exponentially better. Dr. Rose Burdon spent about an hour getting to know us and our pup and going over the basics of caring for a new puppy. Dr. Burdon was extremely informative and genuinely caring and kind. I appreciated her willingness to provide care and recommendations based on our lifestyle and preferences (e.g. avoiding over-vaccination). We left with a goody bag of pamphlets and helpful information. Perks: Free puppy socialization classes are held every other Friday. The office is very neat and clean. The staff is fantastic (on the phone, over email, and in person). If you use pet insurance, they will file for reimbursement from your insurance company for you. No need to deal with the paperwork yourself.

I love this vet clinic. You can really tell they care about the well being of your pet. They treat my cat with respect, letting her sniff everything, especially the stethoscope before they use it on her. They also treat me with respect when I voice my concerns. I trust the vets here so much that I still take my cat to them even though I moved out of the neighborhood all the way out to Astoria.

I have been with Abingdon Square since day one and Dr. DeLorenzo has treated eight cats in my family. I could not be happier with how my cats have been diagnosed and treated. Dr. DeLorenzo and all the vets there tend toward be conservative first but not afraid to take more aggressive treatment approaches when called for. They also refer to specialists when indicated rather than be constrained by ego or financial considerations. Above all they are highly compassionate but honest. The patient is the cat (or dog) and that is who's best interest they act. Abingdon Square is not cheap but definitely on par with other highest quality vet practices in Manhattan. I would give ten stars if I could.
