If you have money to blow this is the place for you. Ever since they were taken over by VCA prices have skyrocket and their #1 concern is profit not your pet. Our family pet had a chronic condition that required expensive and consistent medication and we found it cheaper to order the medication online. Once we started doing this the vet began requiring more frequent charged visits and said by not complying they would forgo their online prescription approval. They also kept insisting on expensive tests in Albuquerque that were beyond our budget, after some research found the tests were not needed and only would help determine the severity of the issue. When a pet owner is at their most vulnerable having to put their pet to sleep they are also the most expensive in town $160, I called around and found other places doing it for $40.

kind staff, however their services are incredibly expensive compared to other vets in town. lost two stars for not informing me the cost of the shave and skin wash treatment they gave to my dog before doing it. $60 to shave a spot and apply some cleansing shampoo i could have done myself. they entice you in with a free first office visit, then charge for simple procedures i haven't been charged for at other vets. their office visit fee is about 50% more than Smith, Gruda, or the humane society. I haven't been charged for a shave at other vets so they could see the wound.

Davis Sucks

Do not see Dr Davis. She is worthless and does not know anything. Especially if you own exotics!! She knows as much as I do and I baught a reptile husbandry book and read it once. She is a horrible veterinarian! Also I'm so sorry to hear about that poor parvo puppy! They truly are a hearltless corporation that only cares about money. Davis is the medical director, its obvious she doesn't care about animals, only making her bosses money.

I cannot personally speak about this particular VCA hospital, but I can speak about their director, Dr. Davis. Dr. Davis is an excellent veterinarian who DOES know something about exotics and small animals. I have attended 3 veterinary conferences with her and she spends ALL day, every day of the conference in classes, taking courses mostly related to reptiles, birds, rabbits and other small animals. I also know that VCA has very strict standards for care and that the Parvo puppy review is absolutely false. I personally believe these posts are coming from a disgruntled ex-employee of the hospital. I wish I lived in Santa Fe so Dr. Davis COULD be my dogs veterinarian. I would absolutely put their lives in her hands.

We fully trust the care of our furry children to the professionals here. The doctors are well informed and clearly communicate with us about our pets' needs; staff are friendly and positive; and above all, we get the sense that they really do care about the well being of our pets. When our cats needed to have some teeth removed, the vet was very clear on the process, and what to expect. They made their recommendations but left the final decision to us. On the day of the procedure, the doctor called after the anesthesia & x-rays, as well as after the procedure was complete. She even followed up the next day to make sure the kitties were recovering well and to see if we had any questions. A+ all around!

I have been a long time client, close to 20 years, and I have always received excellent care for all my pets whether it's been for a regular appointment or in an emergency. The vets and staff have always been professional, knowledgeable, and kind. I have never had a bad experience. They have been there for me at the beginning stages of my beloved pets as well as at the end of their life. As far as I'm concerned, they are the best vets in SF. I highly recommend them without reservation.

I recently took my cat, Ravena, for her annual checkup. I brought her in a cardboard animal carrier and she was yowling like I was sending her to her death! The receptionist at the desk was very helpful getting her signed in. I only had to wait a few minutes to see the vet. I took the box into the exam room, set it on the floor, and Dr. McCreight helped me get her up on the exam table. Ravena was OK once she was out of the box, and didn't seem to mind being touched by another human. I went out to confer with my husband about pet medical insurance (he said no). Dr. McCreight went to prepare Ravena's rabies shot. I came back in and went into the exam room and couldn't find Ravena! I could hear her tags and finally found her inside an information shelf. I pulled her out and Dr. McCreight came in and gave her the rabies shot, and we were good to go. Checking out and paying the bill was quick and easy. The front desk staff is friendly and efficient and Dr. McCreight had come to VCA Arrighetti Animal Hospital when the Ark Veterinary office had closed, so she was familiar with Ravena and her history. This office is very close to where I live, and they are great with small animals. I would whole-heartedly recommend VCA Arrighetti Animal Hospital to all my friends.

I took my English Bulldog here for his first set of shots. They were very friendly and cautious with him from beginning to end. They were sure to make him feel comfortable and I’m overall very happy with the way they treated him. Dr.Armendariz was very helpful and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I got a thorn removed from my dogs paw for $4oo.oo. I took my other sick dog to them, and they sent me home with pills. He died three hours later. I went back the next day to let them know that my dog had died, and they tried to buy the pills back

I appreciate Dr. Esteban Armendariz and the staff at VCA Arrighetti Animal Hospital. My sweet dog lost her life to cancer today so it is hard to talk about it but the Dr. and the nurse or vet tec were wonderful. I don't remember her name but I think it was Millie. Thank you for being there.
