Took my dog in yesterday (as a walk-in) and they were able to get her stitched up and back home by the afternoon. The staff was very nice and Dr. Haines was super friendly and helpful. Then to top it off, Dr. Haines calls me first thing this morning to check on my dog. Outstanding service and highly recommended. Oh.... and reasonable pricing!

Would not recommend. They seem more concerned about getting money than the actual care of your pet. We used to take one of our older pets to them till he started having trouble walking & we were told they weren’t sure what was causing it but we could pay them thousands of dollars for x rays & a possible surgery that may or may not help. At that point we started going to a different vet that was far more helpful & far more concerned with actually helping our pet. Recently we took another pet there while our current vet was out of town. We were charged an arm and a leg just to get her looked at because we were concerned she had worms. We were told they received a negative result for worms and low and behold a week later my husband has to pull full worm out of the dogs butt. Almost $200 dollars down the drain & no help from Manzano.

I recently had to say goodbye to my dog friend of 14 years. The staff and doctor at the Manzano Clinic were great. They understood what me and my pet were going through. It was a sad time, but I was glad I went there. Thanks Doctor and staff.

Since I've posted this, Dr. Haines has long retired. The level of care of my Chihuahua is still very high. I still recommend Monzano. We've been taking our Chihuahua there for years. They're a wonderful staff. Dr. Haines saw our little boy the last couple of visits. He's very gentle. If Norman Rockwell painted a veterinarian, the human subject would take on a Dr. Haines quality. They also have a vet that specializes in canine dentistry. I have no problems recommending Manzano.

This is a bit of a tough review to write, but I do want to at least give the staff here credit for their attitude and understanding during a tough time. One of our dogs was incurably sick and had to be euthanized. Throughout our entire time there, they told us very plainly what the process entailed, gave us as much time as we needed before and after the procedure to say good-bye, and were very understanding the whole way through. Nobody ever wants to be in a position where they have to put down one of their pets, but the staff here at least let him go painlessly and quickly, and I can't thank them enough for it.

The staff are very nice. The prices? Not so much. It's local which is good. What's not good? A cat with a cone. He did his best not to look like a dork to the other one. I swear he was trying to strut around like it was in style or something but you can only run into edges of doorways and corners of walls so many times. Then it's just sad. Really really sad.

This places just amazes me more each time I go. Going to the vet is expensive, but here I feel it is fair and no matter what my bill is, the charges are worth every penny. From the front desk, to the vet (Dr. Bri), to the support staff....everyone is so polite and caring. I have 3 geriatric small dogs and they have helped with their health maintenance and some acute issues. I am sold on this place for life. Thank you Manzano!!

I brought a stray dog here to see if he had a chip. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful and ultimately made it possible to reunited the stray with his family. So, I haven't used Manzano Animal Clinic as a vet, but I'd still recommend it based on this experience.

Went with manzano animal clinic 2 years ago they offered a paw plan I was reluctant to get it but they told me it would be a good deal for my dog who is 9 years old so I got it .it was about 650 and set it up on auto pay on my card to do monthly payments .. Fast forward 2 years now of having the paw plan on auto pay with my card . had it down to about 200 left on my last invoice that I saw... my card they had on file expired like cards do I got one thing in the mail about it . I had a death in the family and was busy dealing with that and forgot . a mouth later get a call from a collections place I was thrown off and i called my wife and told her what happened and to call the clinic to pay my bill but the person she talked to was no help at all and said they would (TRY) and get back with us. I have spent around 3500 in the past 2 years on other things for my pet and this is the type of customer service you get ? Not right at all.. I would gladly pay what I owe but the office people have been no help at all.. I have a 820 credit score and you don't get that type credit score by not paying your bills... be careful what you sign up for with them... hopefully they call me back and get this resolved.. other then this problem the doctors were great

My wife and I could not be happier with the level of care and service at Manzano Animal Clinic. As we are new to the area, we took other recommendations to use Manzano and are glad we did. I was taking my dogs to the annual check-up back in June, and thinking that it's been more than 15 years that we've had Dr. Whaley as our vet. I was thinking that during that time I had several physicians for myself and who knows how long the current physician will last. My dogs (10 and 6) and cats (14 and 13) are the lucky ones in our family. They have always been taken great care of. Everyone at Manzano clinic is always very helpful and extremely friendly. I know that many of them (including staff at the front desk) have been there for many, many years. I strongly recommend this clinic to those who are looking for a great service for their pets.

The veterinarian wasn't very good. She asked that we hold our dog for her to give her shoots when she's supposed to be the doctor of animals. Everytime my dog would roll over the Dr would huff and tell us to pick up our dog so she can continue the exam. She also told me she didn't advise me to use my pet insurance for my dog. I still did and the insurance worked out amazing.

We have been clients of Manzano since it originally opened. It has always been a caring and extremely professional place to bring our treasured pets. Over the years there have been many changes, but the one thing that doesn't change and keeps us loyal to your clinic is that you have well trained vets and staff who treat our pets as if they were their own...caring for them with the same degree of attention and affection that we show them. That's why we continue to come back year after year after year. Laura in the front office and Dr. Bree are just excellent and we love them and the way they care for our babies. When they have not been available, we have received excellent substitute care. We are very grateful.

They are too expensive for vetrinarians who are afraid of dogs. I have a friendly dog who has never acted aggressively. They won't touch him unless he has a muzzle. My dog hates muzzles (he can also break out of them). He is upset and won't come near me after a visit. Also I have a male dog and they kept saying she. Not a confidence builder if they can't figure out the sex. Ifyou're looking for a vet, I recommend finding someone else.

I love this clinic. The staff are so sweet as well as professional. Dr. Shari (I hope I spelled that correctly) answered all of my questions and walked me through a tough decision. I said goodbye to my 12 year old Lucy whose health was declining from liver disease. If someone had sat down with me to go over exactly what I and Lucy needed to make this transition easier, they went above and beyond my expectations. My house is quiet. The healing part is I got to hold her, say goodbye, and she knew she was in good hands, that we were there to help her. When I was asked what the baby's name was, I was all in. My sad heart was now filled with hope. I know I'm gushing so let me wrap this up by saying how surprised I was re. the bill. I thought it would be expensive since we were new a new walk in and what the procedures were. The price was incredibly reasonable. This was my first experience in putting someone I love put to sleep. I am a new resident of the city from the East Coast and just blindly picked this vet. The vet prescribed some medication for my 13 year old dog at the visit a week and a half ago. To my delighted surprise, the vet called me today to see how the medication was working and answer any questions. I have been taking dogs to vets for over 30 years in cities around the country. I have never once had a vet call unsolicited just to check in. He also told me to check back next week as they really want to know how my dog is doing. I am just astounded and so very, very pleased.

My older dog has been going to Manzano for ~14 years, and the rest of my fur family is seen there as well. The staff and doctors - we primarily see Dr. Bri but everyone there is wonderful - are always tolerant of my and my babies behavior, and take the time to explain in detail what is best for them. The paw plan tailored to my dogs ages is affordable and provides extra services. I never feel like I'm paying for services I don't need, and the office has worked with me when my dogs had to have emergency surgeries; which were not cheap, but very reasonable compared to other veterinary businesses. My older dog ate a rock that lodged in her stomach, and almost exactly 1 year later my new puppy swallowed part of a toy that lodged in his intestine. They both came through with flying colors; although my now almost 2 year old still tries to swallow everything... I was very upset taking my older dog in for her recent dental visit because she's old and frail, and I was really emotional about her going under anesthesia (she was perfectly fine). Having someone take the time to "talk me off the ledge" was greatly appreciated. My dog's frailty and sensitivity also improved after her teeth cleaning and extractions, so I'm assuming she was in pain before hand. She obviously received excellent care and is a little more active with a little more attitude. I'm just extremely grateful to have Manzano taking care of my babies.

When my dog was poisoned I rushed to find the nearest source of help, or information, on possible treatment. After speaking with several members of poison control I felt unsure of the information I had been given, and wanted the second opinion of a veterinary professional. Due to their high ratings, the Manzano Animal Clinic seemed to be the best. When I spoke to the receptionist I was asked “why was I calling” if I had already received information. I was then told that I would not be helped because of possible legal complications. My pet is dying, but I was fortunate enough to call other clinics who were more than willing to give me advice, despite possible legalities. I will not list them here; however, no other office was unwilling to help me. I strongly recommend seeking care for your pet at ANY other facility. I cannot possibly stress strongly enough that the Manzano Animal Clinic had no care for the condition of my pet/friend. Their only apparent interest was in the dollars they receive from the loving pet owners of our city. Avoid this clinic at all costs.

Girlfriend took our 8 month old pitbull puppy in because she was having runny poop. We were kind of worried because she had ran away and we had just picked her up from the pound, which we informed the vet of, and she had no problems before this. My girlfriend told the vet she was sure it was parvo but he insisted it was a stomach bug. We took him stool samples twice and they said it wasn't enough to test. She passed away and we figured out it was parvo because our olde english bulldog puppy got it that same week. If we would of had proper care for her she would still be here. And they are trying to charge us for the stool testing they didn't even do. Take your pet somewhere else, somewhere they will get proper care. Edit: I had mentioned the possibility of her having parvo as she had been at the pound. Also the only call I ever recived from you guys was to charge me for the fecal exam you said we didn't take enough. The vet had called me back and I expressed my concern to the front desk lady as well as to the vet. As any other vet in town knows it is parvo season. Killing dogs so fast I do not understand why it was so hard to rule out. I was the one paying for the test. I was at no point asking for free service. I did not provide shot records because I got her a few days before and was waiting to get them from the original owner. Also, the emergency room was able to identify that pitbulls have higher chances of contracting parvo.

I'm shocked with the number of negative, recent reviews for Manzano because we've had positive experiences with 3 of the vets here, dealing with initial low weight, parasite treatment, vaccination requirements for boarding and training classes, and neutering services so that he can attend day care. As a dog owner, we have kept strong records of symptoms, visits, and developmental milestones, which has aided the proper care of our puppy. We did have a misunderstanding in regards to the terms and conditions of the paw plan, which the hospital director, Michelle Chapman, was very professional and thoughtful in responding to so that we could reasonably determine an agreement on how to proceed. Currently our main vet here is Dr. Darby, but we've met with Dr. Shiri and Dr. Nick as well. In all of our visits, we were never rushed, and the vet answered all questions and concerns, as well as took their time in treating our pup.

I have all the confidence in Manzano Animal Clinic, as we have taken several pets there over the years. They strive to be compassionate and to give superb care from the minute you come through the door. My little dog and I are treated with courtesy by the receptionists, assistants, and doctors who spend time making sure my dog's health is the priority. The whole veterinary staff are very attentive. This last visit they shared the different options available for his care but didn't push anything on me and I appreciated this. The doctors always inquire about my little guy's personality, too, not just their immediate health. My dog is held, comforted and talked to.This is a great benefit as he is a little Chihuahua with nerves of Jell-O. He is always offered a treat, too. I am given ample time to explain my concerns and ask questions. Appointments are easy to make. I made this last one at their website, never had to use the phone, and was responded to immediately with a confirmed appointment. Two other things that impress me greatly: They are very clean and sanitary. As I sat in the waiting area I could see the assistant wiping down the room I would be called to. She wiped everything down multiple times with her spray bottle, leaving nothing of the last patient behind. I also have observed with every visit that they often mop the floor whether there has been an accident or not. I trust their care and have no reason to go elsewhere. They also have a rewards deal. I told my daughter how wonderful they were so she took her little dog there and we both got a $25 discount for the next visit.

I had a dog who fought pancreatic disease for almost two years. I had gone to numerous vets and they were all unable to find out what was wrong with him. I finally found Manzano Animal clinic, Dr Whaley was the best we had ever seen. She found out what he had and treated him and us with the best care we could have found. Had we gone to her first, I truly believe she would have been able to save him.He had been sick for over a year before we found Dr Whaley.The staff was wonderful and caring. Many times Dr Whaley would call at night or the next day to find out how he was doing she explained his state in detail to me everytime. The staff knew us by first name, and always got him in quickly. We now have a new puppy and Dr Whaley and her staff are the only vets I would trust. They are not the cheapest but are by far the best.

A friend referred us to Manzano Animal Clinic a couple months ago and I have been impressed with them from our first visit. Our vet (Dr. Holly Erickson) is gentle, kind, and straight-forward. She's so gentle that our dog--who was previously very fearful of going to the vet--actually doesn't mind going. I cannot believe how laid back he is about the process now considering how trembly and barky he would get at all of the previous vets we've visited. Our original visit was to schedule a teeth cleaning and I could not believe what a great job they did--our dog's teeth look brand new. Since then, we have been in for unexpected issues that have come up and they have tried to get us in as soon as possible to receive care and have been nothing but friendly and professional.

I am paying $50 plus a month for their program and had surgery scheduled...but no day prior call to tell me what to expect or take food away...so had to wait until they opened to find out what time he was supposed to be there...then i was told "get here as soon as you can...the vet with take the others first"...i mentioned i was an hour away but was assured it was okay..i am also battling stage 4 cancer so when i get there the receptionist acts put off...then rather help the ups guy than me...then they come tell me sorry we cant help you..you have to reschedule and then proceeds to want to go over company policy!!!...they could have told me over the phone to reschedule but make me drive an hour to do it...then instead of calling me about the situation they send ne his records in the mail and cancel his health plan when i paid for 6 months but now have no benefit from it!! Im suing these people so my opinion is beware!!!

This is by far the best clinic I have been to for my babies in Abq. They even called my angel a baby too! She had severe dental issues and not once did they treat me like a bad dog mom, but instead gave compassion and understanding being as she is a rescue. They are very kind and go over every detail with you along the way. They offer a payment-plan type thing you can sign up for monthly (for select services) and are more than willing to work with you. The kindness and love they showed myself and my sweet doggie was just wonderful. Some say they are more expensive, but I have been to another (I wont name them) clinic who charged me just as much, if not more, without the compassion you can find at Monzano Animal Clinic. These employees geuinely care about the well being of your pet and you. I couldnt be happier with my expeirence! My little girl is the most happy lively dog I've ever seen after surgery. Thank you SO MUCH! TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! It's money well spent!
