Wouldn’t want to take my puppy anywhere else in New York especially with big things like a spay. Took my dog here and they took great care of her and were very patient with all my questions and concerns. The surgeon made a house call post surgery to ask how my dog was doing. They are very busy but always manage their facility well and if I come early for an appointment they make time. Very happy with my experience here and would recommend it to anyone that’s willing to spend the extra money for great service and responsible vets.

Dr. Lang and the staff were very helpful and professional. My dog became quite ill and Dr. Lang and the staff tended to her right away and I am so happy that they were able to get her feeling better almost immediately with IV fluids and antibiotics. Even the follow up visit was great. Dr. Lang took her time with us, and explained everything she was doing and answered all of my questions and concerns. I would definitely recommend Heart of Chelsea and Dr. Lang and staff to everyone! Thank you!

this place is full of amateurs and so expensive! doesn't even deserve a star..i've been using this vet for couple of years. they did blood test every 6 months, my dog had a growth in his ear. they said it's a wart and blood test was clean. and the growth turned into a cancer! i took my dog to the animal hostipal UES, did cost me 3K and dog had surgery. luckily cancer hasn't spread and my dog is fine now. i explained the situation to them all they said was SORRY..i ll never go back

i wanted my 2 yr old dog to get his nails trimmed...They wouldnt do it because it had been more than 6 months since he had seen the vet. They said it would cost $506 for his annual visit plus protective prophylactic bloodwork to make sure he was fine, plus lots of other unnecessary vaccines and tests plus 27.22 to get his nails trimmed.... They are ridiculously cash oriented and should be embarrassed.

My dog Princess she was sick so I had to take her to the Vet and cause one of her eyes came out of the socket and I really didn't have the money for the bill cause the bill came up too $1890.00 dollars so I couldn't really pay for it so when I got home they called ME asking ME how much can I afford and I told them how much that I could afford so y'all won't never believe what they did for my baby Princess. They tooked over the bill and paid almost the whole bill for my baby Princess. I just had to pay $300.00 dollars and that was all. Well they paid the difference and they gave ME medications for her as well cause they had to remove (1) of my baby Princess eye and her teeth cause they got rotten and now she's feeling a whole lot better and I'm feeling a whole lot better to cause I wouldn't know what I would of done if they didn't help us. God is Good people believe that and so are the doctors at Heart of Chelsea Animal Hospital. They were so Good to me and my baby Princess. I want to really thank everyone and everybody at that Vet. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR DOUNG WHAT YALL DID FOR MY BABY PRINCESS. SHES SO HAPPIER NOW. SHE THANKS YALL TOO.

Not gonna deny that they take good care of pets, the follow ups, and everything. However, this place is pricey for no reason. My pet had a "broken tooth" they were charging me $1000 to take it out, I asked them why it was so expensive if it is just one tooth and previously they took out 4 baby retained teeth and they included the dental package which was not necessary because they already did everything previously. I went to another vet and they pulled out the loose tooth which was never broken because it was a baby teeth, they did it for free, no blood, no pain, no anesthesia. They did not give me a straight answer as to why they were charging that much. After I started asking questions they said we'll give you $300 discount. I never went back.

Have been bringing my dog here for over three years - all the doctors and staff are great ! And we have to travel from the upper west side to get here. My dog has been treated by all of the doctors and seen all the support staff- all of whom are wonderful. They are knowledgeable, nice, and caring. They really care about your pet. If you care about your pet's health use Heart of Chelsea -They are well worth it

A couple pretentious employees, but what can you expect. Overall a great staff, and a nice animal hospital, wedged into a nook in Chelsea. Slightly overpriced on standard routine procedures(?), stool sample will run you $60 for example. Can't beat the location.

Nice people, friendly service, reasonably competent, but they will recommend costly procedures that your pet likely does not need. Like all businesses, they are in it for the profit, but they were pretty blatant. I would get a second opinion before committing to a costly procedure here.

Don't go to this location! We normally go to LES, but came to Chelsea for an emergency and had an unfortunate experience. We suspected our puppy had Lyme disease, as we had found a tick on him 6 months earlier and knew symptoms were often delayed. Dr. McNulty insisted that symptoms did not show up six months later and that we must have fed our dog marijuana. We were insulted, but politely asked for a lyme disease test. Sure enough, the test came back positive. Dr. McNulty was still skeptical, insisting that our pup should have had tender joints. He asked us to bring him in again to have his joints squeezed (still no response). We were charged $200 for that "visit". Subsequent billing was an absolute nightmare, and to this day, I don't trust that this doctor treated our pup properly. We're happy to pay premium for peace of mind, and that is not what we got here-- how can you, when your google search is more accurate than your vet?

They have been our vet since Beau was a wee one and we could never change, even after moving to Williamsburg because the care is so amazing. So accommodating when you need to get in last minute for any concern, thorough and informed care. Expensive, but duh.

This place is the best care you can receive for your animals. They take the time to explain EVERYTHING during the exam and after. You can call them and ask questions at no charge. I have even emailed videos to the vets to see if I needed to be concerned with certain symptoms. They never treat you like they are in a hurry. They are on the upper end that you would pay for vets, but not much considering this is NYC. Your animals will not be stressed during the visit or traumatized after. It is worth every penny. Most caring staff to you and your pet.

Do not go to this vet. Foolishly I've been going here for years, and I am consistently disappointed. The most recent time, I came in to get my dog up to date on all his shots so that he could be boarded. I had called to get his records and they said he needed to come in. I just now tried to get his records so he could be groomed and they informed the groomers he was not up to date on his rabies vaccine. I thought this must be wrong as I had been to the vet with him just 3 months prior. Turns out when they made me come in he was in fact already up to date yet they did not give him a rabies shot when he would be due for that in just a couple weeks. I paid $500, for what? They don't do the things that are medically necessary, but they try to upsell unneeded things. When I did go in this last time, I brought my boyfriend with. Upon leaving, he said it felt as if they were used car salesmen trying to get whatever they could out of you. I turned down the ridiculous things they 'recommended'- like having blood work done, when that had been done the year prior and there were no signs of anything wrong. This place doesn't care about your pet, they are just trying to get your money.

High fees for no treatments! Dishonest people that look at your pet as a cash machine=> they keep your dog sick so you keep coming back. Monsters! My dog has simple warms... for 4 months now. Why? These vets don't tell you that to make sure your dog is done with warms you need to follow the warms reproduction cycle and repeat the same treatment 2 or 3 weeks later. But... they are more than happy to charge $80 for consultation and $60 for pills, with a big smile. The rest of the info you have to dig it out yourself while your dog is suffering. Oh and they also throw away the stool sample in the garbage, but of course they make you pay for the (garbage can) "lab result". DONT TRUST THEM. DONT GO THERE

Great experience with my new doggy. Doctor was nice and polite. Technitian was efficient, took her time to explain me every single detail of vaccines and what to expect when you have a new puppy. Thank you. They have a puppy meeting on thursdays for your dog to socialize with other dogs. Love it.
