The entire team at College Garden, from the docs to the front office staff, are the absolute best! Whether we take our dog in for routine care, boarding, or an extensive GI workup, they treat Tex as though he were their only patient. They never fail to accommodate our needs for bovine care and ensure a short waiting time, a huge benefit in transporting restless bulls! Though we drive almost 100 miles to College Garden, the treatment we receive there is well worth the trip.

If I could give -100 I would. This doctor should lose his license. I was given a clean certificate of health for an animal I adopted. I took the dog to my primary vet and turns out she had a 5/6 heart murmur and a palpable thrill. Absolutely unacceptable that a DOCTOR would miss that. I’m a Vet nurse student and I can hear the murmur. I will definitely be reporting the doctor.

I'm from Carlsbad, NM and I had previously dealt with this wonderful Animal Hospital when my dog was being used to artificially inseminate another by the way this is the most recommended for this service in the area! Anyway while there for another insemination, my dog had a large mass that had already been treated by my local veterinarians, and all they did was drain me for my money and really didn't know what they were going to do. Long story short this veterinarian took a chance and was determined to help and treat our pet with no guarantees. I am happy to report that I gladly would return and he is now my official stop , I would rather come here than get the run around. Thanks to your staff for the awesome treatment and attention to our pet!

This was my first time with College Garden Animal Hospital and I was deeply disappointed. I brought my kitten for boarding as well as rabies and FVRCP shot. On the day of drop off I was helped by a lady with no name tag to identify who she was. She didn't introduce herself either. Actually I noticed that none of the staff has any name tag or they were introducing themselves. How the client will know who helped them? Front desk lady did the paper work and told me I am all set to go. I asked her what type and brand of food do they give and she had no idea. After going inside and asking someone she came up with the answer. I asked her again if my kitten will get wet or dry food and only then she asked me what would I prefer. Why not ask me about it instead of me asking all these important questions? Why I have to prompt for this important information is beyond my knowledge. I looked at the paperwork and noticed my last name spelled wrong. At the end, I asked to see the boarding place where my kitten will be place and was denied. I was told to come back during the staff break time with an advance notification and only then it can be arranged. Not sure if I like this approach as owners should be allowed to visit their pets anytime during the business hours. Are staff and the hospital doing something that they don't want outsiders to see? Are they hiding something? Upon my return I was overcharged by 3 days. Good thing I have a habit to check everything which I did in this case also when I came back home and had to drive all the back again to fix the issue. Such a hassle and extremely inconvenient for a first time client. What if I would not have checked my invoice which many people don't? This major mistake definitely comes under fraud and not sure how many times this hospital has committed. Headache was not done for me yet as the unknown lady who helped me had no idea when I have to come back for the next FVRCP shot. She had to ask someone. Also, right in front of me 2 staffs got angry at each other. What kind of job culture is that? What confidence will that give to the client specially the first timers like me? Not sure if I will go back and/or recommend this place to others after my poor experience.

We were visiting family when we discovered our UTI prone cocker spaniel had another one. Expecting another crippling emergency vet bill we contacted them. They Worked with our vet back home, obtained info about our baby, called in the prescription and did not charge us a dime. We will use them anytime we are here and recommend them. Thank you so much.

My 3 Girls are well known by a few of the ladies who work up front. I've brought one of my babies in several times without appointments and they've always been taken care of. My only wish is that there was a weekend option..as one of my girls is sick right now..making noise that scares me to the point I don't even want to sleep tonight. Very nice staff and vet. However, be aware of undisclosed charges you will encounter when picking up your pet after a stay with them. Today I picked up my two dogs which where under their care for the past 10 days. When I dropped them off all was well. However, when picking them up I had an additional $130 of fee's which were not disclosed at drop off or prior phone conversations or prior visits. I am saddened they can not or do not disclose all fees you will be charged when using their facility.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SO CALLED ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!! I would rate a negative number if I could, my mom had to drive out here to our vet in Dallas after the College Garden animal hospital could not figure out what was wrong with him after having him there for 2 days and kept giving her the run around saying we don't know what's wrong and he probably won't make it through the week. We called to ask for the medical records to be faxed to our vet but apparently their personal life was more important, the Dr. said she would get to it when she wanted and would have them faxed Mondy. If you say a pet "won't make it" and is in dire need of medical care on friday and is being driven to a hospital 8 hours away for help and you won't send his files so he can get the help he needs until Monday, then you have NO COMPASSION for animals. My vet was in SHOCK when I told her they would not cooperate and fax over the records. The staff and doctors are uncaring, incompetent, rude and overcharge for their so called services!!

My one cat Mystery had been misdiagnosed previously and I was told she went into seizures from stress and couldn't receive care unless I hired a vet to come to the house to give her immunizations and such. The vet here diagnosed her properly as having epilepsy and she has now received her shots and is doing very well. Destiny my burmese was handled roughly at that other vets place too when she was given a shot and from that time on had ears back, hissing and trying to escape whenever I took her in. She was given her shots here and hardly whimpered, was treated gently and with love. There was no laying back of the ears, no hissing and no running for cover with her here and she was very happy when she got home. These vets are professional and knowledgeable, and have that special touch with the animals. The other vets, I've seen didn't know anything about the Burmese breed, this one did, I was impressed. This place is wonderful the staff is fantastic and you can tell they really care. They have always taken excellent care of our animals and even saved our Yorkie's life when she was bitten by a raffle snake. I highly recommend this place.
