It's the only vet I've ever been to. The doctors and nurses are very nice, and my dog and cat never fear them because of their natural handling with animals. I can't say it's perfect because every time I do go, I feel like I pay for more than what I originally bargained for. I get they need to sale as much tests and medicines and such, but more often than not, it feels like I'm being hustled for money. Great service, just try not to get sucked into buying things you feel your furry friend doesn't need. (Or bald. I'm sure they check on reptiles or weird bald cats too.)

Worst vet I've ever been to! The Dr. all but told me I was lying when I told him what was going on with my dog. I took her in to get her anal glands expressed and he told me that that is not something that needed to be done. I insisted and when he did it he acted like he was totally surprised. They did not try to make my dog feel comfortable in any way and they charged a fortune! Not to mention the anal gland expression did nothing, it was just as bad after if not worse, and never got better. I will never return to this vet.

My cat started seeing the vets here about 2 years ago when my regular vet was unable to get him in for an emergency visit. Since then CVH has been so amazing in being able to accommodate my kitty when he needed something. I can say equally amazing things about the veterinarians, techs, and receptionists that I have dealt with here. I felt that the staff truly cared about my cat, and when I boarded him here, he was happy (which is not what I would have said about the previous place I used). Also, boarding (for cats anyway) is more affordable than most places I've seen. As I am often coming in with my young kids, they almost always offer a hand out to my car when I'm juggling the carrier or a large bag of food along with my kids. As someone who has spent a lot of time bringing my cat here for appointments, to be boarded etc., I will say that they can be a bit slow if they are busy, but from what I have seen this is often due to emergencies with the animals/unforeseen circumstances and if your animal is in dire need they absolutely will be a priority.

A rhyme for a once, waste of my time: My pup had an appointment for an ear infection, Dr. Rebekah Ford didn't even check the inside of Dottie's ear! Even I could see that the poor pup was suffering. Inside of her hears were red and gunky, but Ford didn't even offer to get them clean because she wouldn't take the time to see. Instead, Ford insisted that Dot be given more puppy shots, on top of the ones she had already got, due to the fact of where I got them at. My puppy got sick halfway home I presume because of antiviral overdose. I returned immediately for tummy medicine, but never will I, ever again for any reason. Two days later Dot visited a different vet, at Caprock Veterinary Clinic, and there is where her infection received the proper treatment.

I jokingly call this place the vet mafia! The actual vet we have been seeing is amazing, but the policies and regulations and amount of screenings are crazy and expensive. Here are two examples of why to seek another place: I found a good deal on Heartgard online, but the only way they will allow you to buy it from any other source is to make you sign a waiver, get a written prescription from them, and they up the heartworm checks from every 3 years to 1 year, costing $51 every check. I called another veterinary office after I was told this, and they informed me that yes, I could absolutely get Heartgard, as long as my dog had been on it all along. (By the way, this new veterinary clinic is now where I will go!) My second example is that I had a family emergency and needed to board my dog. I had always boarded with them, but when I called, they asked if my dog had, had a flu shot. A flu shot? He would have to have a flu shot and then wait a week or two before it would be effective for him to be able to board. They had never even mentioned that before or gave any notification about this new policy. Again, the actual vet was really incredible and really cared about my dog, but there are just too many regulations that are such a hassle and so expensive!

Have been coming here for a long time now. They service is fast, staff is friendly and seem to really care about the animals. Always have answered any questions that I have had. They tell you straight up what's going on and give you the option to decide what you want to do.

Front desk was extremely unhelpful in coordinating with other, primary vet to address my dog’s broken tooth. Other vet already determined that surgery was required but Clovis Vet would not accept this determination regardless of recommendation or transferred dental and medical records and offers to give clear photographs of the tooth in question (which were enough for other vets to determine that surgery was required). Additionally, front desk was unwilling to tell me when surgery, if “necessary,” following the exam would be available. Other vets in town were extremely helpful in coordinating with their docs and trying to see how and when they could get my pup treated as soon as possible.

Recently I had to make a very tough decision regarding my sweet kitty who had a condition that couldn't be cured. The doctor ( I believe it was Dr. Drake) and staff were so incredibly caring and empathetic. They gave me all the time I needed and answered every question I had. They were there for me in so many ways and even sent a sympathy card with her little paw print in plaster paris. They did not try to drain my account by performing endless and unnecessary tests but told it to me straight. I appreciated their honesty, sincerity, and professionalism. Although I miss my little Sophie dearly, I have no doubt that I made the right choice. Thank you to all the staff there for lending a heart and a hug when it's needed most.

My cousins dog had some issues last night and they called into their vet and was told it was too late that she did not want to go in that night for them to bring dog in morning. They went all the way to Lubbock and the dog died. What kind of animal care is this. They lied on their website when they said they treat all animals as if they were their own. I would highly NOT commend anyone to ever use your service.

Dr. Hornig is absolutely amazing. I have a rather energetic and curious pup that has unfortunately had to see her twice for emergency visits and both times she has been so wonderful with him. I never doubt that my fur babies are in good hands when I take them to Clovis Vet Hospital. The prices are fair and service is beyond belief. I am so incredibly grateful for Dr. Horning and the wonderful vet techs (whom I unfortunately forgot to ask their names) for being so amazing at what they do.

Its such a great feeling that the Veterinarian assistants remember my Siberian Husky throughout the two years I've been bringing her. We had to wait 40 Minutes to be seen but totally fine because a very sick puppy needed emergency assistance and had I've been in that owners shoes I would want understanding from others as well. So no hurry. Once seen they treated my dog sufficiently answered my questions and concerns. They treated my fur baby very well and the administration in the front were very helpful in planning her next appointment and boarding. I would suggest this Vet hospital to everyone. Such a wonderful group of staff.

Been to this facility before with another pet it went well. This time we got the famous Dr. Morrow boy what an ass! professional is not what I want to call him. Our pet received a wound in while play in our backyard she wasn't in pain or bleeding just a large gash which needed sewing it was late in the day and the great doctor answered while telling me it can wait a couple more days. I should have found someone else. At first he gave a price I do realize there are complications for everything and of course there were. But after his attendant gave an itemized bill of cost he screamed at her why she would even give us anything yet. first sign of bad business. Well we went home and waited for the call that she was fine no call, called in at 3:00am to find she was fine they said call you in the morning when to pick her up. we love our dog pay whatever it takes to keep her well. she return back to have her bandages removed to find she had gotten many ticks under her bandages. How we do not know. the nurse that was attending to her began to scream and asked us to take our dog out of the office in front of other patients. I have never been so badly treat by a business in all my life of raising pets. This place is just about the money! Paid my bill and got out of there fast called another vet in town where it was important to treat all of my dog and they took the time to explain things so I wasn't guessing about what they were doing! Dr. Morrow it is your job to explain what is happening to my pet whatever information I give you is to help with my animals not put us down for going to you for help. By the way the other doctor gave us some good advice on how to control ticks in this area. Three day visit from operation I wonder where she got her ticks under her bandages? This doctor does not care enough for your pets to receive your money save your time!

Today I went to Lubbock to do some stuff and I came back home and I found that my dog would not get up and was making some very unusual sounds so I called the vet hospital and a lady told me it’s to late and I don’t wanna go this late but you can bring him in tmr so I’m on my way to Lubbock where I can actually get some service unlike this place. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL FOR ANY OF YOUR ANIMALS I will not be coming back to this place you call a veterinarian hospital Thanks to you my dog died on the way to Lubbock

I have had my dogs seen twice here, and both times I've had to wait 30-45 minutes after my scheduled appointment in order to be seen, which is very difficult with two larger dogs, one of whom is anxious. It is frustrating to be at a clinic for over an hour when the exams themselves take no more than 15 minutes to complete. On top of that, it was very disappointing to find out that they do not offer a military discount all the time, only on certain months, which I thought was quite odd.

Terrible experience. I relocated to Clovis from a very large city with adequate service. I brought both of my large dogs in to be seen at 2 pm. They changed my time to 3:30 pm, and I was not seen until 4:30 pm . No one checked on me or my dogs, let alone inform me of the delay. When I asked about my appointment they dismissed me, and said they would be with me when they could. After finally being seen they insisted that the state of Georgia probably has never given my dogs a flu shot, and that they would both need it along with boosters. After reviewing my paper work I discovered that they have had the flu shot every year since 2016. After addressing this issue they said I would still need to get boosters due to the lack of evidence for a booster in their first year. I was notified that my dogs were slightly overweight, and after asking for a calorie intake amount for each dog they said they would have it to me at check out. When I went to pay she said we will have it ready for you tomorrow morning when you bring in your paper work. It took three days in total for them to tell me the proper amount of calories to feed my dogs daily, but merely minutes for them to call me and remind me of booster shots. After giving my three year old dog the flea medication she immediately started hacking, wheezing, and spitting up flem . I called the emergency veterinarian clinic at one am, and she said to come in at eight in the morning, and they would let me in through the side door. Once I was in the room she addressed my dog by a different name, and started telling me information that did not pertain to my dogs circumstances. Finally she tells me that no one has seen the emergency doctor from that night, and no one has heard of my case. That they were expecting someone else who called in a couple of hours ago. After expressing my frustration for the lack of organization on numerous accounts I expressed my concerns. I requested that they treat my dog due to the medication they gave her, and after I pay $311 I would be taking my services else where . I was very ethical in expressing my frustration, and even told the doctor and the receptionist thank you for their patience with me. However, two hours after dropping off my dog I receive a very abrupt, distasteful phone call from a woman at their clinic . Asking that I pick up my dog since I am not happy with their services. I continued to inform her as a client I am intitled to express my concerns with the establishment for that is what customer service is. I am very appalled for such a "highly rated" establishment to lack etiquette, professionalism, and proper customer service. This establishment has a very distasteful concept for human ethics, and morality in a business environment. I will never reccomend this establishment to anyone. In all of my years with my furfamily I have never experienced something like this.

My husband and I have been bringing our two doggos to this vet for over 4 years and the front desk ladies STILL don't know how to pronounce our male dogs name. It's Orion...like Orion's belt...it's literally phonetic. I correct them almost every time and I guess it just doesn't register. The Dr's and vet Tech's are all super sweet but I feel like I get charged an arm and a leg every single time I go in (which is maaaybe twice a year). If I didn't eliminate unnecessary stuff they try to sell me on each visit I'd easily spend over $400/visit. I also had one incident where I was watching my friends puppy while he was TDY and I had to call their Emergency after hours line....it was too inconvenient so the Dr. told me to wait until the morning. Luckily everything ended up ok, but it was still uncomfortable knowing that if I DID need help, it wasn't available and I'd have to drive to Lubbock or Amarillo.

This is a fantastic veterinary clinic. We brought our new three month old kitten here for the first time a few weeks ago, and the staff treated her as if she were their own. Dr. Ford does a fantastic job of answering questions and informing clients on the welfare of their animals. We are so impressed after two visits that we plan to bring our kitten here every time.

You know you found a good vet when your first encounter is late on a Friday night in an emergency situation. First of all, they have an on call service to answer emergency calls. How comforting is that! When the vet arrived, Dr Whitney, she had her assistant, and they both took ample time to assess the situation of our injured dog. No rushing and were very compassionate. We took him home, with full care instructions. The next day we were back for follow up and again saw Dr Whitney. The reception staff was wonderful. We had made appointment with another vet who was available for Monday for another follow up, but imagine our surprise to get a call much earlier in the day to bring him right in to see Dr Whitney. Ultimately, we had to make the kind choice to end his suffering. And never have we been treated kinder by all staff and were given plenty of time to say goodbye. Every single person we encountered treated us kindly and knew how painful this is. I just hate that their encounter with our beloved dog was at this point and they didn't get to see the fiesty little guy he was. But we will be taking our other two dogs there for future routine vet visits. Being new to Clovis finding a vet is a hard choice. I don't think you could do better than this group.

I raise horses and this is my Vet. I don't have a horse that is sick nor any that are not healthy. They spend time making sure that you fully understand what and why they do what they are doing. Makes it so easy on the horse and me. If you want animals that are well taken care they are for you. Every one there is very helpful. If you got a question ask they can keep you going in the right direction. Sorry they only have 5 stars because they are defiantly 10

I have never had a bad experience here. I bring both of my German shepherd dogs in and Dr. Ford is amazing. The staff is extremely friendly and makes you feel welcomed. We were worried about one of my dogs so we called Dr. Ford and she met us within 30 minutes on a weekend. She didn't even charge us that much. Dr Ford will answer all of your questions and won't rush you like other vets in town. Clovis vet is inexpensive and the quality is amazing. The whole staff is great. I would call and ask to meet with the vets before making a decision based on these reviews.
