I have been taking my dog to this clinic for over 8 years. The doctors and staff at this clinic are absolutely wonderful. They have provided excellent care through the scary medical emergencies to general wellbeing visits for my dog. All of the vets are great but Dr. Georges has been wonderful to work with over the years. I always feel like the doctors and staff treat my dog as if she was one of their own pets and I don't think I could ask for much more. Highly recommend this clinic!

Brought my freshly adopted shelter dog in for her first physical. Everyone was understanding when my dog was initially stressed out and made us feel welcome. Our vet answered all of our questions and won my dog's heart in all of ten seconds.

The staff are courteous and explain what they are doing when they put your pet down and Barbara McGuire was our vet when she was at Too Grand animal clinic and Dr. George's also is a wonderful doctor. She helped me when I had to put my cat down recently. She gave me time to say good by to my furry friend. And that meant a lot to me.

I had to go here with my buddy so that he can put down his dog. He had this dog since he was in the third grade, and it was a very difficult moment. I myself have become somewhat attached to this animal, and was pretty distraught over the entire situation as well. The poor dog was just so incredibly old. His Spirit was still wanting to run around, but his body was just finished. We had to have him put down with some phenobarbital. The staff was so gentle, and understanding. I sent like there is no possible way that they could have handled the situation any better than they did. They even gave us a blanket to wrap him up again so that we may take him out to his family's property out on the reservation. When we left this establishment we had a very nice funeral service for his animal, I would definitely recommend this place to any other animal lovers out there. The staff were absolutely marvelous, and if I had an animal myself I would take them to this establishment. Definitely worth giving these people a try.

They provide good care but can get rather expensive quickly. I recently had an emergency ingestion and they got me in right away. The vet and techs took good care of my girl. Some of the counter staff aren’t the most bubbly of individuals, but the techs and vets are great.

This clinic takes advantage of animal lovers' lack of knowledge to convince them to pay for more care than medically recommended, usually at a high price. They seem focused on making money off devoted pet owners. I only started to figure this out once my dog had a medical finding that is common in humans, and as a physician I realized Aztec was recommending things that would cause more risk than benefit for my dog. They were unable to provide explanations for these recommendations. Once I established with another vet that I trusted, I found out that the Aztec providers were not following up to date guidelines.

They are not on the high end of pricing for veterinary clinics. They may not be the least expensive but, to compare to gas stations, the pennies you save by driving across town isn’t worth the cost of driving across town. Those who are financially challenged will not find any place much easier to deal with and those who pinch pennies, please refer to my above. To speak of quality care, there is no question on reliability. To speak of pet owner shaming, I have not experienced that. Dr. Blossom was thorough, informed, and respectful of myself and my pet. The rest of the staff were very attentive. Thanks all

I never thought I'd feel strongly enough about somewhere to write a review. But taking my dog to Aztec was a great experience. Dr. Matek is hands down who I am going to take my pets to from now on. He just saw my husky and was very sweet to him. He also took the time to explain everything to me and did not come across condescending in the least. The front office staff is also GREAT. So happy to have found somewhere I want to take both my pups and business.

Aztec is the best vet I have taken my dog to in her 9 years. Start with the facility itself, its own freestanding building, with poop bags at the ready by the entrance. No strip mall or unappealing store front. Inside this pleasant environment continues with multiple, comfortable padded seating areas and high ceilings. Wait times are often quite short and appointments are easily available within a week or less, even when asked for with short notice. Dr. Pease is my dog, Kiki's vet, and I trust her completely, and I do not do that easily. She is very good at recommending procedures as needed, only when needed, and answering all my questions in detail. She skillfully performed multiple dental operations on Kiki in just one procedure, removing two teeth, a potential epilus mass, and two small black nodule growths on her lip and chin. This minimized the risk to Kiki with her only needing to go under once, not to mention streamlining my cost. Aztec Animal Clinic has everything I look for in a vet: pleasant environment, competent vet in Dr. Pease, and very fair pricing for the overall quality and skill level of care. If you are very picky and careful in choosing a vet, then I highly recommend trying Aztec Animal Clinic. They have met my high expectations. Ask for Dr. Pease, a vet you can trust.

Very knowledgeable, considerate, professional, and trustworthy. I am so very grateful for their competence and dedication to providing the best possible ethical and informed care for my cat. We go for regular check ups and blood work, and so far, have had 1 set of vaccines and 1 dental cleaning with multiple extractions. All going well. I won't go to anyone else now. They really care about comfortability, and believe in "No Fear" (they never want your pet to fear coming to the vet in the future). These are good people. Thank you for being so wonderful to my babyguy!

I love these guys. In the past couple of months, we have been here twice. The first time we unfortunately had to put down our beloved Molly, and they were so compassionate and understanding during our difficult decision... The second time was to bring our other two companions in for shots and regular check ups, and again, they were just great with our dogs and took the time to get to know us and our dogs and make sure we left feeling like they genuinely cared about our pets. I would recommend this vet office a hundred times over. They all really seem to love their profession and love all the patients that come in!

Bar none, this is the best veterinary practice I have ever used. I have four pets and I have seen three of the vets at Aztec. My animals have been treated for illness and they have been seen for wellness checks. The doctors are attentive, technically up-to-date, genuinely caring, and patient. We are always seen on time. The communication is timely and thorough. The staff are equally good and this is a very well-run office. It is not the least expensive practice (or the most proximal) I have ever used, but the cost is well worth it.

Aztec Animal Clinic staff of techs and doctors seem passionate about animals and providing care. It is a friendly and positive environment, the exams and care plans are thorough without unnecessary items or recommendations and the staff are efficient with your visit. They provide additional information you may want to know or is helpful for your animal being happy and healthy. AAC may not be the least expensive, but the experience you leave with is much more valuable.

Sadly we lost our beautiful dog Goldie recently, after 11 years as a beloved family member. Though it is never easy to say goodbye, the entire staff at Aztec Animal Clinic were compassionate, professional, understanding and accommodating, and made a difficult time easier. In particular, Dr. England was absolutely wonderful to work with throughout the process of assessing Goldie's condition and helping us ultimately make that terribly hard choice. She struck the perfect balance between respecting our concerns and being sensitive to our emotions, and providing realistic expectations for Goldie's situation and assisting us with making the most humane decision. Goldie's very peaceful passing was handled by Dr. England and her veterinary assistant with the utmost sensitivity to Goldie and to all of us, in the most patient and kind manner possible. Thank you to Dr. England and the Aztec Animal Clinic staff members from the Thurber family. We cannot thank you enough, and look forward to seeking your loving care for all of our animals in the future.

I honestly don't know why I haven't written a review sooner. I feel so lucky to have found Aztec animal clinic for both my cat and guinea pigs. The staff at the front either in person or on the phone are always so nice, knowledgeable and quick to help. Scheduling is easy and the e-mail reminders are so nice, especially when life gets busy. I've had the pleasure of working with three of their amazing veterinarians and they have all been so amazing. One of my favorite aspects of Aztec's care is how involved they make you in the animals care. Every procedure, exam, and test is thoroughly explained before started. I couldn't recommend them enough!! You and your fur (or feathered) kids will love it here!

They used to be the best but their new group of vets miss things. The staff love animals for sure but also are disorganized and rude on the phone. They stopped calling in prescriptions to pharmacies and instead let you find a compounding pharmacy. I’ve also waited in person over 40 minutes to pick up a script there and was THEN told they don’t have the keys to the drug box and I’d have to wait until another vet came out of a room. These meds are for my dying cat. Really!?!?!?

The staff here are friendly both to me and my dog. They have treats at the ready to calm pets who get anxious for their check-ups. The doctors and techs are clear and thorough in answering questions, explaining treatment options, and going over pricing for services. While visits here are a bit expensive, I personally find the service to be well worth the price.

I had my first visit with 2 newly adopted cats on Thursday afternoon. The clinic staff are so kind, helpful, and efficient. Once inside, I was directed to a "cat-only" sitting area so as to separate dogs and cats and help alleviate anxiety for the animals. The staff provided me with 2 blankets with which to cover the cat carriers and had sprayed them with cat pheromones to calm down my cats. This level of service was unexpected but greatly appreciated. I saw Dr. Mary England. She was comprehensive, engaging, and really went above and beyond to help answer my questions. Afterwards, the 2 vet techs came in with an estimate for a procedure and went through each line to explain to me the estimates and the type of care my cat would receive. I was really impressed with this facility and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for compassionate, comprehensive care for their furry loved ones.

Finally found a primary vet in Albuquerque! I was very pleased with my service today. Everyone at the front desk was friendly upon arrival. Aesthetically, The vet office was very clean and spacious. I found Dr. Mateo to be very thorough and of course knowledgable during the examination. He and his vet tech (Acia, I believe) generously gave my pup small pieces of treats during the exam since she exhibited some skittish behavior (most likely due to her previous hospital visit and current injury). Dr. Mateo suggested a least invasive route to care for my pup before resorting to something more painful for my pup. We were given a choice between two different care plans, which was nice to visually see laid out. Everyone seemed very caring and attentive towards my fur kid which I appreciated! All in all, I will be back for my pets needs. Thank you so much for seeing us!
