My new puppy got sick over night, the next morning i called and they got her in right away. They had to keep my new puppy Tiny because she had parvo. Tiny was well taken care of and only had to stay 3 days. Now we use them for her check ups and vaccinations. They always remember Tiny by name and treat her like part of the Animal Haven Family.

We have taken pets to Animal Haven in the past, and the experiences were always positive. However, we recently had an emergency situation where they really came though. Yesterday, was Saturday and a holiday weekend so more the vets were closed. We had an emergency situation with my nine week old puppy. We were really struggling getting ahold of anyone, and ended up at another vet's office first where that vet was extremely rude and turned us away after we argued with the pay first help later policy. Animal Haven staff was much friendlier and was able to help us.

I have always had good care for all my cats at Animal Haven. The vets, techs and staff care about my animals almost as much as I do. They have been helpful and kind when I had to euthanize my older cats due to lymphoma and failing kidneys. All the staff is gentle and caring. I never have to wait for more than a day when I make appointments. All the staff knows my name and greet me warmly regardless of what I am there for. They also know my six cats by name and greet them as well. I have had to take several feral cats in for care, and the entire staff treats them as well as they do my inside cats. The prices are reasonable and they are willing to work with me for payments. When my oldest cat crossed over the rainbow bridge, the techs had me park by the side door and walked out with me. They waited on the payment until I could gather myself together. I didn't pay that same day, but went back several days later. All the staff again expressed their sympathy. It is nice to have vets and staff that care as much as I do. Not only to small pets, but horses, cows, sheep, anything that is an animal. I will never go to another vet office as long as these doors are open.

Full concentration of the establishment is to raise revenue. They charge for EVERY little thing they do. Extremely overpriced and i even heard one of the assistance state that a medication for another patients animal was only $23 but she rounded it to $30. I honestly don't understand when people turned their focus and attention all towards self reward but I will certainly not be returning to this establishment after spending nearly $2,000 on a basic surgery for a free dog. Only to get a $16 bill for a refill of our puppies pain meds, when we were only given 4 upon his release. To me, that is petty.

They were super nice and very knowledgeable. We took our VERY sick dog to another vet who basically told us that we should keep him 'comfortable.' We thought he would lose overnight. We went for a 2nd opinion at Animal Haven. He was very sick and while it has taken almost 2 weeks he is so much better. They were able to tell us he had a tick born illness and gave us what we needed to nurse him back to health!! Thank you Animal Haven!

The receptionist is extremely rude, when I asked her for estimates she kept saying I don't know. How much for teeth extractions? Idk. Duh dir duh dir. Apparently you pay 74 dollars for estimates. I need blood work so I can have my dogs teeth pulled. She said well what kind of blood work did you need done... Could you do your ******* job and tell me what blood work I need done for my geriatric dogs teeth to be pulled. She is a very vague idiot so you pay the 74$ check up charge. No thanks! Also took my young Chihuahua here a year ago because he was bit by another dog. We paid for their so called examination which was really an estimate, they were glad to tell us how much this or that would cost then. They did not seemed concerned in helping my dog, offering advice, they did nothing a vets office should do. During the exam the Tech picked up my dog and was pushing her thumb right into my dogs biggest puncture wound. They are rushed and inconsiderate, I wouldn't bring my pet cockroach here. Your better off doing whatever procedure that needs to be done your self. The place is a real S*** Show.

There emergency line is a freaken joke no one ever answers the phone it's called an emergency line for a reason. I can say this they do have some nice and knowledgeable people about what they do they saved my pitbull from Parvo and rat poison so I can't really judge them what I would like to see is that when you call the emergency line they actually answer the phone and not have to leave a msg

This is a wonderful veterinary clinic. They are professional, skilled and very compassionate. Our first visit was to get the teeth checked on our rescue cat. When they did x-ray's our Dr. discovered that she had been so badly abused by her previous owner that several of her internal organs had moved out of place and fused together. Animal Haven worked with us on payment so that we could give her the surgery she needed and a new lease on life. Our shy, skinny, wheezing old cat ended up living another 10 years as a fat, sassy terror to the other pets! Most recently we had to have our golden lab put to sleep. She was 18 years old and dying of renal failure. It was an incredibly difficult decision but the compassion of Animal Haven staff really made a difference. They didn't rush us and allowed us to be in the room to hold and comfort our old friend as she died. Afterward they gave us the option of either paying for a half price office visit or just donating any amount to a fund they maintain to help others with vet expenses. These are wonderful people who do a great job for the community. P.S. Stay away from Farmington Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Wolfe is a killer who DOES NOT CARE about your domestic pets.

Excellent care from thoughtful people. We've been bringing our dogs to Animal Haven for several years and have always been impressed by their level of care and skill. Despite being busy, the staff and vets are helpful, concerned and personable - and the wait times have not been too long. They also seem to do their best to keep costs reasonable - including suggesting alternate, lower cost, treatments. We certainly disagree with those who say they are "in it for the money."

Awesome people!! One time my pups had parvo n I had went to Valley Vet well I did a home treatment n Valley Vet had told me to call them if I needed any questions. They were horrible wouldn't answer my calls nor call back n when I finally did speak to them they were very rude n were no help!! So I called Animal Heaven n with no hesitation they answered every question I had they stayed on the phone with me for 30 mins n I didn't even go to them! Animal Haven Clinic has truly been a haven of trust and excellent medical care for our canines for the last 25 years. Our previous dogs Sam and Nikki were both treated there for routine shots and also dequilling after a porcupine experience, a fight to the end with cancer, and appropriate end of life procedures that were done with much TLC. Our current dogs Hank and Precious have also been effectively treated there for the past 10 years - teeth extraction, car accident results, removal of fatty growths, ETC. My husband and I have high confidence in the vets of Animal Haven as well as the animal care staff who are all competent, sensitive, and supportive. I would give this no stars if could. They kept my dog for 30 days. Because I couldn't up with hole bill. I tried to make payments and they wouldn't except my money. For twenty days they kept my dog hostage and threatened to euthanize her if I didn't came up with the money. So after 20 days at 45 dollars a day boarding fee. They decided to go ahead and set up a payment plan to get my dog out. And they could have been that 20-25 days ago and saved me almost a 1000.00 dollars in extra fees that I really can't afford. So Animal Haven Clinic gets nothing in stars, its a thumbs down on them

I am very disappointed with my visit with Animal Haven. I set up a wellness check up for my Rottweiler, Nova, and when I we were seen, they gave her a distemper/parvo shot without me knowing and tried to give her a rabies shot, even though she just got her shots in February. They didn't even ask me if she needed shots, they just did it. Secondly, I paid for a WELLNESS check up. All they checked was her weight, glanced at her ears, and listened to her heart beat. They DIDN'T check her teeth, her joints, feel her belly, check her eyes, etc. And on top of that, Nova is only 9 months old and she is anxious to go to the vet. She then proceeded to tell me that my dog needed obedience classes and that she's too agressive, even though she is a GREAT dog and very well behaved. In the end, I paid $80 for a wellness check up and according to the receptionist, I was charged extra for some reason neither of us know of. Needless to say, I am very upset and will be looking elsewhere to take my four other dogs to get check ups. It seems I can't find a vet in Farmington that actually cares about my dog rather than caring about getting my dog out of the door as soon as possible so they can move to the next client and make more money. Just as a side note: the nurses and the receptionist were great. They loved Nova and they treated her the way she should've. Our vet and an older woman there were the ones we had a problem with.

They couldnot even find my moms account when I told them her name the laday asked me of I was sure that the name I gave them was my moms name. Then when my mom and I had made our appointment my mom canceled her dogs but left my cats so I go in to drop my cat off and they had to dig the papers out of the trash then now that's it time to get my cat they gave my cat extra stuff that I told them no to. The lady I just spoke with was very helpful and understanding to my situation. She was quick to get me an appointment for my financial convenience. EDIT: I'd like to update this because I called to refill meds and the doc I spoke with was very kind and attentive. Also, they may do a re-check without charging. It was a completely different crew than the first time I went and I was happily surprised. ORIGINAL: I would not recommend Animal Haven in Farmington. They were rude, insensitive, and judgemental when they told us our cat probably has cancer. They basically were nothing but dirty looks and rude when I didn't want to do an invasive and costly surgery on my 15 year old cat. I wanted to get her antibiotics and pain management for her open wound and see how she does. Of course we will euthanize her if she is visibly worsening. But she has been purring and happy besides these tumors bothering her. They injected an antibiotic for her sore and gave steroids but did NOTHING TO MINIMIZE HER PAIN. I don't think she is in agony but is just uncomfortable because she bit into one of the tumors. I just personally feel that her best road will be to manage her, give her the best food and love, and to let her live her best life until the end comes. Their actions made me think they were disgusted that I wasn't doing this surgery. $200 later and I am left with a very bad taste in my mouth and incomplete treatment. They were all about getting money and offered basically no options. Maybe they were ticked off to be at work or something else but they didn't even break the news that she probably has cancer in a very kind manner. I moved to the area and haven't found a new vet since Aztec closed. I chose this place because the reviews were so great but am pretty disappointed in this visit.

Puppy in for diarrhea and vomiting. Had all shots so negative for parvo, distemper. I visited my pup in back 2xs next day. At checkout contested outrageous ~$500 bill for services not provided. IV fluids given less than 12 hrs, length of stay (36 hours vs 72 hrs) billed. Vet herself discounted me $100 at checkout then BANNED us both because I contested the bill. Large puppy stuck in tiny cage for 36 hrs. couldn't even hold her head up in it, and stunk of feces when 'ready' to be picked up. D- for deplorable

They are very great with animals and patient as well. They do their best to explain to owners the needs of their pets and work with them in procuring credit line if needed for vet needs. My cat had dental problems and they took him in the same day of his exam. Being a geriatric cat, he needed to stay for two days after but they accommodated him accordingly. I would recommend this animal clinic to friends and family.

They explain everything very well, they greet myself and my animals with a smile and name with great care. It makes it so much easier for me to take them in for visits. 7 years go, I lost both my parents to carbon monoxide poisoning and 2 of my dogs were in the house. I was in the snow on my knees doing CPR on the dogs and animal control came and wanted to take them to my vet for me and care for them and treat them while I was dealing with my parents. I knew in that tragic time my dogs were in EXCELLENT hands. I didn't have to worry about them. To this day I still have them because Animal Haven Drs and staff treated them like they where their own. Our mules have had their share of accidents and we got the very same care and treatment for them as we did the small animals. I think the prices are great for the service, care that I and my animals get. I can't imagine going anywhere else. Why look for something better when you have the best!

Absolutely love them! It's easy to get appointments in a reasonable time frame, staff are always super helpful and friendly. Once you are there your wait time is usually reasonable and you actually get to see a Dr, not a tech and then the Dr. We tried to take our pets somewhere else when we first moved back to the area but due to poor customer service we switched to Animal Haven. The staff are always so invested in your animals and are so kind when you have to make difficult decisions that pet owners inevitably will have to make.

Animal Haven is great! I would not take my cats anywhere else. They are great about getting us in every year for vaccinations and when we had an emergency, they got us in fast and did checkups every week until everything was okay. As first time cat owners, the vets have given us great advice. We have also boarded our cats with them and knowing that our cats are in good hands while we are away makes everything so much better.

We had to take a sick cat in on a Sunday to have him looked at. Thank heavens someone is available on a Sunday to look at and treat sick animals! Our cat had been throwing up at increasing intervals over a couple of days and wasn't eating or drinking anything. They gave him some fluids under his skin and some anti-nausea medication. The staff were great with us and our cat.

While they have a great small animal clinic, I have horses which sometimes require a type of care which is unique to this clinic. The practice has broad experience with all animals and the entire staff is involved with the best care for every animal which needs them. If 10 stars were available, I would give it to this clinic.
