I normally don't write reviews, however, I am making an exception for Leslie Animal Clinic. This animal clinic is by FAR the best clinic we have ever experienced. The staff is beyond nice and caring and Dr. Leslie is nothing short of amazing. We can reminder emails and personalized post cards with reminders for our dogs shots and appointments. The environment is clean, and since we schedule appointments, there is never a wait! We travel a lot being military, and I think this clinic is what we will miss most about Alamogordo.

Best Animal Clinic in Alamogordo.

I visited this clinic for the first time last week, having recently moved to the area. My 13-year-old dog had what I thought was foreign matter under her eyelid. I saw Dr. Derek Turner, and he didn't find anything under my pet's eyelid and wanted to do further tests. After thorough examination and blood tests, it still isn't clear exactly why her eye is irritated, but I was advised to keep her out of bright light; that it is painful for her. I am grateful for that information, as I can keep her from further discomfort with that knowledge. I was given oral medication and eye drops to help with her eye discomfort. I gave four stars only because I am not used to paying so much for a vet visit, having previously seen a rural vet for many years at a much lower cost. However, I was *very* impressed with the thoroughness of the exam and testing, and the care and gentle treatment that my dog was given by Dr. Turner and his staff at this clinic.

Family has been taking their animals to dr leslie, and previously, his father, for years. All the animals LOVE THEM. Everyone in that clinic always treat you like friends. Always sensitive when you have a tough appointment. Or saying goodbye. We got a new kitten and the first thing she did was put her nose in dr leslies nose! They are all just magic. They have that natural goodness in all of them. We also have a cat, hes about 7. Hes had a few pretty major surgeries and dr leslie has always left no stone unturned. And given us good advise on giving our babies the nest life we can give them. You should never worry if you are thinking of choosing this clinic, your in really great hands!

Hi folks! I'm currently in the State of New Mexico at my Mom's. She lives in the city of Alamogordo, N.M. About 5 years ago 3 long hair domestic Cat's were left behind. Their owners took off. My Mom living across the street took these cats under her wing so to speak. It took a good while for her and the cats to get used to one another. 5 years later these cats and my Mom have bonded. They just ❤ her and trust her. Today we needed to take one of the 3 cats into the Vet as she has a open wound on the side of her towards her back. The Vet assistance, Courtney took great care of Titters. Until Dr. Leslie came into the room to check the cat out. The Animal Vet Clinic is the place to take your pet. Very clean. The Staff there are very friendly and will treat your pet kindly. Will talk to your pet, will pet your pet and tell your pet that everything will be alright. If you're ever in the area moving or just visiting I recommend this place to bring you animals.

My dog was ran over by a car, tire tracks on her. They just gave her a shot and sent us on the way. I asked them to do a physical exam and imaging, nope! Til the day she passed she wore a diaper from 3years old to 10 years old could not control her bowels after the accident.

Absolutely the best vet I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Every single individual I've ever dealt with at Leslie has shown nothing but the utmost professionalism, care, and expertise. The only drawback is that they are a little more expensive than the other vets in the area, however the service and care you get here is just well-worth it. There are many other good vets in Alamogordo, but Leslie Animal Clinic is just in a totally new tier of service. The only other drawback is going to be making the drive from Las Cruces and back after I move whenever I need my animals to be checked out - they have been that good to me.

The staff are caring, ditto the vet himself. Everyone is very patient, obviously love animals and they will go out of their way to explain everything to you and how you can help your pet.I took a cat there after my experience with another vet in the area was less than positive. Leslie Animal Clinic was the more expensive clinic of the two, but my cat got real care there and caring as well. And that's priceless. They also answered my questions over the phone about a flea product for the cat. Great service and great care for your fur babies.

I adopted an adult cat from AC. AC was not 100% sure of the sex because of the long fur and cat would not hold still. The staff at the clinic could not determine the sex of this ADULT cat. So they prepared him for a spay.... After cutting him open & not finding a uterus. They checked his rear and figured out: it's a male. How professional!!!

We really like Dr Leslie, and he helped us when another vet (at a different clinic in town) botched our cat's neutoring, damaging his leg permanently and causing it to have to be amputated. Dr Leslie did the amputation and helped us get our cat back to normal after the other vet's errors. Dr Leslie is very compassionate, and he performed excellent surgery! This is the only vet we use now!!!

We took our puppy Mona from the shelter and they took goid care of her and Dr. Leslie became her vet . Then we got a six week old puppy who got really sick throwing up and having diarrea for two days...it was an emergency to take her to the vet ..we got told that they would not take her without an appoinment even if she was so little and sick...she can die but they don't care even if we are already their customers...very disappointed that they can be so cruel to a six week old puppy...sad.

I switched from another vet to Leslie Clinic after my dog got poked in the eye. They got us in immediately (literally 20 mins later) and treated both of us wonderfully. Since then I have been bringing all 4 of my pets to them. I love the staff and the Dr is amazing!!!!!!!!

What a delightful doctor and staff!!! We are in Cloudcroft from Texas, had an emergency, called and they asked if we could be there in 40 minutes. Just perfect for getting down the mountain. Our dog was well received, the tech very caring and the doctor full of knowledge and answers. Our fur baby was fixed up and we headed back in a reasonable amount of time. I can't say enough good about this practice. Wish they were in Texas!!!!

My brother had such a good experience here, that he asked me to write a review for him! They let him take his dog's medication home despite being short on cash. They are very kind and polite. The only downside is: they are more expensive than the other vets in the area.
