I have been to vets for generations of our cats during my lifetime in 5 different states. I have to say that WOAH is the best. The front desk staff are smart and organized. They ask you all the right questions when you call. They recognize the possibility of a serious situation and will schedule you accordingly. Dr. Bruno is the best! Besides being highly experienced, educated and kind, he is truly the best communicator! He also makes sure you don't spend any more of your hard earned money than necessary. Thank you!

I've been taking my pets here for over 15 years and have to say that I've never met a more compassionate group of veterinarians and staff anywhere. The front office is always accommodating and the 3 vets I typically deal with are wonderful. Dr.Perez has performed numerous surgeries on my dogs, including the removal of an enormous abdominal tumor that we thought was inoperable. Dr Boen is lovely, soft spoken and very compassionate. And whenever we visit with Dr Bruno, it's like going back to school - he spends so much time explaining everything - that I feel like I went to vet school for the day. Compared to what my friends dealt with at their previous vets - they've all switched to West Orange A H - these folks are extremely honest, price everything fairly and most importantly treat me like a friend and my pets as their own. I love them all !!!!

I would highly recommend West Orange Animal Hospital to any individual in need of excellent health-care for their pet. Dr. Perez is a wonderful vet and a very skilled surgeon. She took excellent care in removing a mast-cell tumor from the rear paw of our family dog. Dr. Perez was very direct and honest about our treatment options and prognosis which was greatly appreciated. I am so glad that we went out of our way to get a second opinion with West Orange Animal Hospital and I am very grateful that Dr. Perez was able to perform the surgery. Our wonderful dog is in recovery but doing very well post-op. Thanks again to Dr. Perez, Dr. Bruno and the whole West Orange Animal Hospital Team!

Have always had a pretty good experience with this place however they are terrible with emergencies. I called in very worried about my cat having bloody urine and just wanting to get her checked out. The secretary told me I have to wait until Monday. Mean time I’m freaking out because I don’t know what this could possibly be and she’s not giving me anything. No information that is useful or advice. I asked to speak with a doctor and she couldn’t have someone talk to me as they were busy in appointments. I would think in a hospital - the first priority is the patients just like in any hospital. No one gets sent away to wait several days to get checked. On top of that she was not knowledgeable at all. I called a different hospital and immediately the secretary eased my nerves and told me the next steps to take. West Orange Hospital, train your employees a little better eh? Thanks.

Highly recommend this Veterinary Hospital. The doctors are wonderful, with a genuine level of concern, and of course professionalism. There was an appointment that was cancelled on me - I just assumed there was an emergency - those happen - but Dr Bruno personally called me to apologize and assured me that he would do everything in his power to be on time (which they are) and professional. I am not sure I have ever had a vet call me - I am impressed and will recommend them to anyone. Plus they take great care of their patients.

Dr Perez is a world class doctor. We just came back from a check up after our 13 pound Pomeranian broke her paw. Dr Perez has been our family vet for 19 years and 3 small dogs. She diagnosed and surgically treated our 7 pound Yorkie’s breast cancer, and certainly allowed her lead a long happy life. Dr Perez was the doc who put her to sleep in my arms. Her demeanor is always professional and kind - kinder than necessary. The newly renovated facility is clean, comfortable, and state of the art. I recommend this clinic in West Orange, NJ without hesitation. Thank you.

They really care about your pets and their prices are reasonable. They have always been willing to do the most important procedures first in order to work within your budget. They cared for my best friend in the world, Eddie, from the day I brought him home from the shelter, in 2004, until the day he finally passed, December 15, 2018. They always treated us with dignity and kindness. Most importantly, they always made me feel like they truly cared for his well-being. Dr. Bruno is a saint. He is such a kind and compassionate man. Dr. Perez is a wonderful vet and a kind person. I have had fewer interactions with Dr. Boen, but he was always very kind and did whatever he could to help keep the costs low. In fact, he informed me that he could give my dogs free vaccinations just by paying for an office visit for a completely separate matter involving a fungus in my dog's ear. I wish I could give them 6 stars. I would never take my boys anyplace else.

What a surprise! The place is called "Animal Hospital", but is not. I brought my dying hamster, but they could't help. They're only taking care of dogs and cats. The hours of operations are 8AM-7PM. I was there at 8:05AM and was called "early bird". WOW! But the best part of it is - the doctors arrive at 10AM, I was informed. I'm recommending to change the name to: "Dog and Cat Hospital" , change the hours the and stop confusing people.

The staff at WOAH is nothing short of outstanding! While most people can demonstrate sympathy very few can exhibit empathy - which Dr. Perez, Dr. Boen, Dr. Zamora, Barb & Christa have done on multiple occasions. Our dogs have been clients of WOAH for more than 10 years and I can't say that at any time our dogs have not been treated with utmost love, care, respect, and compassion. While pets can fulfill certain needs for people, it's the one dog or cat, or whomever that becomes your soulmate. And as your soulmate you come to expect your Veterinarian to provide the same love and care that you give.That Veterinarian would be the people at WOAH. I have taken my animals to WOAH since 2003 and I can't say enough good things about them. I started with 2 cats, who actually lived to the age of 16 and who died within 6 months of each other. I had never owned my own pet before and wasn't quite sure what to do when the first cat got sick, but they were very compassionate and helped me through a difficult time. Some time later I got another cat who experienced kidney failure at a relatively young age, and was much better prepared, thanks to them, when it was time to say good-bye. Now they see my dog and yet another cat. When they treat an animal they provide options but they don't upsell, or if they do, they do it well because I never feel any pressure. A particular shout-out to Dr. Boen, who is always my vet of choice, although any of the doctors there are wonderful. The front desk staff has been there for a long time, which is telling in a good way, and it is easy to establish a rapport with them. I don't kow the techs as well, but I would recommend WOAH to anyone any time.

The Best care Available.....The Vets are the real deal. The love they have twords their own pets , is wriitten upon their faces. Im a former Marine & Law Enforcement Officer. My Reba is only 10 months old. Amazinng to be advised by your Vet that a X-Ray is not needed.Thus saving me needless cost or testing. Honesty is rare these days, the staff is polite. The doctor was very good. However, they were not helpful in the least with my dog's prescription. It seems they will only take care of it if you purchase the medicine directly from them. I've been using 1800petmeds for many years and always had the prescription faxed to them from my vet but this place refused to fax or mail the prescription. I was told I would have to pick it up and mail it myself. So much for customer service.

Having moved into the area recently, we did not have a local vet. A friend was kind enough to recommend WOAH to us, and our first visit was for an emergency. Sadly, our dogs diagnosis was terminal, and we had to make the hard decision to put her down. Dr. Boen, Dr. Perez, and the rest of the staff were incredibly caring, supportive, informative, and patient with us as we took the time to say goodbye. In one of the most difficult of moments, they made a horrible circumstance more tolerable. We are indebted to them for their kindness.

We have been with West Orange Animal Hospital for the past 10 years, with Dr. Boen being our primary vet. I grew up with animals (and also majored in animal science), so I am picky about who handles my pets. WO Animal Hospital is caring, knowledgable (especially navigating through insurance and meds), and the new office is really impressive and comfortable. I have never waited more than 15 minutes to be seen. Our dog, who they have seen since he was a puppy, just last month underwent surgery for two large cysts. Dr. Perez called me the morning of the surgery to let me know that they suggested a radiograph because of an irregular heartbeat. She consulted with Dr. Boen on the results and and called me right away to reassure me it was okay to move forward. After surgery, she phoned me again to let me know that "my baby" was doing fine. The entire procedure, even after the unexpected radiograph, was below the cost estimate they gave me, and I felt like my dog was in good hands all through the procedures. I highly recommend this veterinary practice!

Brought in our beagle, Ally, today to get a second opinion.She had been bleeding from open wounds in the wrist area for several weeks. The other vet we were dealing with was treating her for an infection. Dr. Donald Bruno found out that her paw area had bone cancer and also found tumors in her lungs. He spent an hour consoling us. He hugged us many times and had tears in his eyes, when we made the decision to put Ally down and relieve her suffering. He is a one of a kind veterinarian who showed us so much compassion.
