The North Jersey Animal Hospital served as my dog's primary care vet for just about 18 years. She only saw one other vet before when we lived in a different city. They have an excellent staff who are not only proficient in pet care, but are enthusiastic pet lovers. Every pet I've seen in the waiting area gets a terrific greeting and if they're a good boy or girl maybe even a treat! I recently lost my dog to the terrible condition of gastric tortion. It's taken me a while to be ready to say how I feel about NJAH because they mean so much to me. Please educate yourself on gastric tortion symptoms and health if you are a dog owner!
Both Dr Riedels knew my girl well. My experience with them was the perfect balance between hard diagnostic tests, evaluations and prescriptions with the promotion of natural care and of my pet's overall well being. That's the recipe to a healthy, long living dog - and I had a healthy, happy and long living dog with their help. The Dr's aren't going to force any treatment but educate you on the multitude of options and allow you to make the decisions if there's something specifically wrong. As for regular check ups and evaluations I've always been able to ask them any questions I may have had and I always got their full attention until I was happy, no matter how many questions or how long it took. My dog died just after 18 years of living by a sudden event and not due to any general health or old age issues. In fact, we all believed she was going to out live us. I'm very happy and proud of the whole group of people working there because they were as much a part my dog's life as any of us were. You truly can't ask for anything more than skillful people who really care. I can recommend NJAH as people you can trust your pet's life with. Thank you!
