Phenomenal! ALL staff members were extremely competent, kind and efficient. From my first telephone conversation with one of the receptionists I was immediately treated as if I had been a client for 10 years. The facility is immaculate and there is ample parking. There are multiple exam rooms all of which are modern and comfortable. Dr. Silver was amazing. She was immediately able to diagnose my dog's injury when other vets failed to. She prescribed appropriate medications and explained every aspect of his condition, what the approximate costs would be, holistic approaches..just wonderful. All while keeping my injured dog comfortable. I am so grateful to have found Meadowlands Vet. I highly recommend their services. Thanks to you all!

I have been a client of Dr.Silver since she opened her office. A few years ago the worst thing happened to my female dog, she got hit by a car and almost lost her leg. She needed surgery and we needed to repair any skin loss she may have had. Dr.silver let us know our options and we began the 1 1/2 month process of going to the vet to clean her wounds. She allowed us to make a payment plan going further and walked us every step of the way financially, and the home care she would’ve needed. Karma, our female dog, was so comfortable going to the vet. The front staff always helped us and was very professional. The office is very clean and offers free coffee. Now going forward a couple years my female dog Karma has pups. One of the puppies got his arm caught in a blanket and lost circulation. A few days later, his arm fell off. Yes your read it right. It fell off! Called Dr.Silver’s office and they advised me to go right in. Our pup is only 1 week and a few days old and DR.silver let us know everything we needed to know of the risk we were taking amputating his arm. She gave us our estimates and right away started to operate on our puppy. He is the youngest she has operated on. Pets are like family and I trust her with everything to make her best judgements when it comes to that. She is honest and let’s you know all the pros and cons. Our puppy currently is 2 weeks old eyes opened and is fighting the good fight thanks to Dr.Silver and her staff. If I could give them a 10 star rating I would!! Don’t hesitate to bring your animals to see this vet.

Emergency visit gone wrong. The vet was condescending. Considering that, you'd think she would be on her game, but she forgot to tell us she didn't do the work she charged us for, and that we had to come back. Sure, it was a reasonable excuse. But tell the client before you send them home. The nurse had some bed side manner. She was very nice. She made my girlfriend feel better when the vet made her cry. We only went here because my vet was closed. Someone recommended I go somewhere else. In an emergency, next time, I'll drive the extra 10 minutes, because I wouldn't go here if the vet refunded me the money for the work she forgot to do. I'm thankful they helped my puppy, but I felt they treated my dog like just an animal and not a family member

Dr. Jess Silver and her staff go above and beyond to follow up on your pet, and be there for urgent care. This is not just a "business", they are your beloved pets best friend with affordable pricing. I have been to many Vets including Oradell, Red Bank, and AMC in NYC as well as many small practices in NJ.. and never felt the genuine care and compassion that Meadowlands Vet has for their patients. I also trust that they do not run unecsessary tests just to fluff up a bill. I wont go anywhere else because I love my furrbabies, and I know they do too.

From the moment I called to request an appointment to the moment I walked out the door from my first visit, the customer service I received was 100%. The staff could not have been friendlier or more patient with both my cat and me. The office is very clean and comfortable. In addition, my cat needs to have a significant amount of dental work done, and the pricing is very reasonable. This review is way overdue! If I could I would give 6 stars. Dr. Silver has been our vet since the summer of 2017. I have had dogs all my life but never had a vet like her. I wish all animals could receive the love and care she and her team provide. Also, i must say I don't know how she has the patience for pet owners like me. I unfortunately lost a couple of dogs at their early age so anything wrong with my dog I am a mess. Dr. Sliver also treats my friend's dog who has lots of medical issues and had never been properly diagnosed and treated before coming to Meadowlands hospital. We all owe Dr. Silver a lot!

It was our first time bringing our kitten to the vet and the staff were so professional and super friendly. We didn’t feel rushed at all during our appointment , Jim and Dr. Silver took the time to answer our questions and address our concerns as we are first time cat owners. I called at 12pm to schedule an appt for my puppy. I told them I have a Groupon voucher and I told them it's not my first time there since the secretary asked for my name and number. My puppy's record showed up and the secretary mention my puppy name. I got there at 5:59pm and she put me in a room right away. When I was in the room all I hear is he can't use his Groupon and mumbling they kept me in the room for 20 unnecessary minutes. The secretary comes and tells me I can't use my Groupon that is only for first time user. I thought I was going crazy and I went back to the Groupon application to read the things you should know and information but I didn't find anything addressing the “first time user policy”. After waiting so long in a exam room the doctor comes in Dr. Silver she tells she can't honor my Groupon since I'm not a first time user. I tell her I don't see that on Groupon and the doctor said if I want my puppy to seen I have to pay regular price. I'm like well you should have that on Groupon and when I called the secretary she knew I wasn't a first time customer and when I got there wasted 20 mins of my time. The moment I told the secretary on the phone I am not a first time customer and I have a groupon she could've had told me there. I dealt with a lot of traffic to get there and when I got there they put me in a room to keep me for 25 mins. This place is not sanitized or clean at all I saw previous dog hair on the place where you put your dog. I notice everyone just wasted my time. That's false advertisement if you don't have that on your groupon policy or when someone calls. If you love your dog don't take him there they are not professional at all... they won't take care of your puppy. I have attached a picture of their Groupon template. This place is always empty I wonder why!! No one is there when I went...

Dr Silver has been treating my FIV+ cat Jack since September 2018. Unfortunately Jack was going into end stage when we started seeing her. Jack received the best care from Dr Silver and her staff, she does not sugar coat anything and I appreciate that. After countless hours and days of searching for the right veterinarian hospital, I came across Meadowlands Vet. Hospital. The staff was PHENOMENAL, caring and understanding. They treated my furry friend like he was their own. The Doctor was very knowledgeable and just as concerned about my situation as I was. She gave us assurance and peace, when other hospitals told us the worst, instead of solutions. This place is awesome If I could give this hospital 10 stars, I would. And I might just rate it twice lol . That’s just how much I love them. I highly recommend going to Meadowlands Veterinarian Hospital!

I do not recommend this facility to anyone. I was very particular in picking a place to take my cat and did my research before hand. They seemed to have a good rating so I went for it. The first visit I had they diagnosed my cat and took her for an emergency procedure because she was severely constipated. They seemed like they knew what they were doing and I trusted that everything would turn out ok. The next day my cat was very sick and unresponsive so I decided to take her back to the vet. When I arrived they were having a pet costume contest for Halloween and I was told to WAIT until they finished their event ALTHOUGH I informed them that my cat wasn't doing well. I waited about an hour before Dr. Silva came and attended to my cat. In less than 5 minutes after evaluating her, my beloved cat Sushi passed away. I don't think I should have waited so long to be seen especially due to the fact that I called prior to going informing my cat was ill and non responsive. One would deem this to be an emergency ; your site says : Our staff is well trained in handling emergency situations. We will quickly stabilize your loved one. This was clearly not the case when it came to my pet. In the midst of my cat dieing in this office DR. Silva was more concerned with me paying up front and giving me a quote of the test she needed to perform to stabilize sushi, then actually saving my pets life. As a professional, she clearly knew my cat was dieing because she said " I don't want her to suffer.' Maybe, if they would've seen my cat right away when I took her in, she could've been saved. It took me 4 months to write this review because that's how much of a horrible, traumatic experience I had at this office. If your animal has an emergency do not bring them here. They lacked compassion towards me and my pet, and provided terrible customer service.

I highly do not recommend coming here for urgent matters. TLDR: Senior dog who was recommended surgery with this vet, and no official follow-up from the vet to proceed in helping my dog. Lies provided that follow-ups were provided, when in fact, no follow up was provided. I have a senior dog who went for a visit due to concerns of a mass that was forming to perform anesthesia and a neutering service. The visit was great, the vet was descriptive, provided the details on the procedure. They did blood-work, and even did a urinalysis just to double check and would get back to me in 24 hours to advise the blood results and schedule a surgery. Tuesday, I received a call at 11:05 AM to ask how Roxas was doing. This confused me as I had not received a call about his blood-results prior. Asked if the blood-results were ready, and the response was: "The blood results are available, we'll have the doctor call you back'. 2:11 PM, didn't hear from anyone, called back asking if the results were available. The response, the doctor isn't available at this time, we'll call you back. Called again at 6:14PM, guess what? No call, and...the doctor is not available but a message will be given. Wednesday we had a snowstorm. The calls kept going to voice-mail and we sent an e-mail with two separate numbers to please give a call back. Understandable that the conditions were bad. Fine. Thursday rolls around - Finally! a call. Results are given, BUT... didn't seem like the vet tech knew what the blood results are for. Gave options as to what the issues could be related to - but, I would need to speak with the vet to correlate the issues. Great, when do I get to talk to the vet? 'She's not available today, we'll have her give you a call tomorrow'. Friday, 12:14 PM. NO CALL FROM ANYONE. Called them again. 'When do I get to speak with the vet?' She's with someone at this time. We'll have her give you a call. From the recommendations of friends and family, called them back at 12:20 and immediately stated to send me the blood work as I will go elsewhere and get his procedure done. Friday 12:30 PM (like the time stamp?), I receive a voice mail from the vet. 'We seem to be missing each other, we've made a couple attempts to call you'. No you definitely have not. Now you're just lying. 2:21PM Receive another voice mail, 'I just got your message again, and I'll be sending an e-mail explaining the blood results and what to do. Yet another lie that was told.

Ive worked with Dr Silver and am very impressed by her compassion. She always puts the animals first. Its a shame that people dont get to see how we agonize over animals when owners have no way to pay their bills and make it the fault of the veterinarian that they cant treat their pet. Vets and techs scrape by most of the time and it costs alot of money to run a hospital. We have all dived into our own wallet to help. Saying we are in it for the money or have no compassion because we cant always help is unfair. There is a reason the suicide rate for this profession is higher than any other.

I gave 2 stars to be reasonable to their cooperation on giving us an itemized bill with correct items and services. Had I not ask for the itemized bill, I would have paid for an 80 some dollar flea treatment medication that I wasnt even going to go home with my uninfested pet. I was really thrown off when the guy acted all flustered after I asked for the itemized bill. Now I am not only going back and also would really like to ensure my dog actually got thoes shots that they claim they gave, and hopefully it was what he actually was in need of. I hate to feel this distrust because my pet is important and we were frightened to his emergency and left feeling uneasy. Updated after the reply P.S. you should have said these things on the spot when we were there. It is my resentment that you failed to do so at my visit, only to show the general public that you were properly serving me when you didn't. Good luck with keeping it a long term business.

I am so happy I found this animal hospital relatively close to my house. My dog, Pele, was extremely sick which made me think the worst because he is getting on in years. Dr. Silver took the time to assess the host of problems he was experiencing and put him on a path to recovery. The staff is friendly and competent from the front desk to the vet techs. They are clearly animal lovers that provide excellent service for reasonable costs. The best vet I have ever experienced.

I do not recommend this animal clinic at all, the supposed veterinarian has no vocation. no compassion for the animals just think about the money and nothing else did nothing for my dog and charged me dearly I do not recommend it at all there are people who deserve to be a veterinarian they told me that my dog had cancer and did not biopsy only x rays they gave me the only option for some inept like them to put her to sleep.

WE LOVE JIM!!! AND SO DOES OUR BULLDOG! Jim is AMAZING! My husband and I have an English Bulldog, which as you know are known for breathing problems, skin problems, and more! He is a year old now and we've been taking him to Jim since he was a young pup. We have heard of other bulldog owners going to other veterinarians who took advantage of the breed concerns and made every small issue into a money-maker, taking advantage of concerned fur-parents. As a huge contrast, Jim at Meadowlands has been sooooo helpful in easing our concerns, as new bulldog owners. He has coached us and taught us the proper PREVENTATIVE care for our fur-baby so that small issues dont become big problems, always has honest and helpful advice, and has always been patient with our many many questions! We moved across the country when he was a young pup and his first apt here was to be neutered. Even with the post-moving-anixety he STILL gets soooo excited to see "Uncle Jim" every single time. Thank you Jim for all of your help and understanding, for genuinely caring about our little guy, and making the vet visits so easy for us!!

Dr Silver and her team are AMAZING. After my new cat got sick I first took him to my usual vet... who proved to be an inept moron who after a month couldn't even give a ddiagnosis and delayed care. :( After a month of no improvement, and my poor kitty getting jaundice, I took him to Meadowlands for a second opinion since my mom takes her cats here. I AM SUPER HAPPY I DID! Within about 2 hours Dr Silver gave my cat a proper diagnosis, the correct foods and medications, explained everything to me AND answered all of my numerous questions. She took the time and care to even explain what happened to him, how the illness took over and how what she was giving me to treat him to work. My kitty had pancreatitis. Within one week the jaundice was gone, he started to eat on his own again and is on his way to a full recovery! I highly recommend this vet! Meadowlands Veterinary Hospital is a top notch facility. All of the staff members are friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Silver is an incredible doctor who treats each animal as if it were her own! I have brought both my dogs there for vaccinations, neutering/spaying, yearly exams, and teeth cleaning! Meadowlands Veterinary Hospital has special packages for dogs and cats (wellness plans) and all of their prices are extremely reasonable! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for great care for your pet!

My boyfriend and I brought our pitbull here after he had a spout of vomiting blood and the staff was more than accommodating. He is dog friendly, but not cat friendly so they assured me there weren't cats in the schedule at the time of his appointment and once a room was available we were directed to it right away. One of the techs was with us very quickly despite the waiting room becoming a little bit busy and even though our pup is very skiddish and afraid of women (he was abused before we rescued him) she was so sweet with him and understanding. Dr. Silver was wonderful with him and extremely proactive and explained his plan of care to the T for us, and the office called us the very next day to check up on him. The prices were extremely reasonable and all in all we are 100% satisfied with the service we received and will be making this our pup's primary vet for sure.

I want to thank Dr. Silver for taking great care of my dog. She did an awesome when I had to bring my dog in as an emergency when he injured his tail a week ago. We were so relieved to have a place to take him on a Sunday evening when most places are closed not to mention this was our first time there. She was able to put his tail back into place and today's xray shows my dog's tail is healing wonderfully. Thank you so much Dr. Silver for taking such good care of Zeke!!! (1st review) On Sunday my dog fractured his tail. I called and spoke to the staff. Didn't get name of lady who answered phone but I can say she was great. I was so happy and relieved when she said to bring him in. He was seen and taken care of by female vet who was very good. All great on Sunday. Follow up Appt was scheduled for Wed. Unfortunately the vet who attended him was not in and we had to reschedule. Inconvenienced but that was not the worse part. The worse part is that the vet that was in, seemed like he didn't want to be bothered with my dog. He was asking "why do I have to look at him when I didn't do the procedure". (Ummm..You are the vet that is in) so he said he would check his tail/bandage. He didn't really look at him. For a minute I thought that I found a great place to take my dog. I guess not all vets care the same.

Dr Silver and her team is fantastic. You guys were so sweet with Bear and even if he was nervous I've never had that fast of a visit before at any vet. You were so gentle with the anal gland expression and the price was extremely affordable. I'm sorry for blowing up your phones about pain meds but after taking half of the tablet Bear started to relax right away. I always recommend my customers to go to Meadowlands Animal Hospital and after going there myself I will continue to do so. Also I met your pig today and he was a good boy. Thanks again!!
