I've been bringing my dogs to FAH for 10 years and counting. They've been there for us from having to put our old, sick pup down to welcoming our newest additions. They currently care for our three and do a fabulous job I can't brag enough about the front office staff let alone the phenomenal vets. Thank you for all you do for my pups!

They've helped us through the passing of dogs, welcoming new family members and everything in between (including dental surgery and diagnosing of two different torn ACLs). I've boarded one dog twice and all seemed fine. One dog had significant surgery which seemed to go fine also. I recommend Fanwood Animal Hospital.

Dr. Robi is amazing! Seriously saved my cat's life with her expertise, and she spent over an hour with me going over all my options to test and treat my cat. I will never be able to thank her enough. The staff is nice but doesn't always follow through on calling you with updates when they say they will and sometimes delivers "news" or "information" in an unsettling instead of comforting way. The waiting time can be tough on the animals sometimes. Stay away from Dr. Franz, there, though. He treated the cat Dr. Robi saved before she took over, and completely misdiagnosed him, lied about the turnaround time he said he would be able to perform a surgery for, and could have killed my cat by prescribing the incorrect medicine and neglecting the severity of my cat's symptoms. My cat started having seizures under Dr. Franz's "care" which were immediately cured when Dr. Robi correctly diagnosed my cat and prescribed the correct medicine. What a nightmare Dr. Franz put me through. He never even followed up with a phone call. I would never go back to him.

My rescue dog, Bambi, has been a patient of Dr. David Frantz and Dr. Rachel Roby since 2006. Bambi has received the absolute best care and diagnostic services. Dr. Frantz has diagnosed physical irregularities and/or disease, has performed surgery when needed and referred specialists when necessary; he has been fully engaged and supportive in her rehabilitation and palliative care. His staff is caring, empathetic, engaged, and very helpful when scheduling appointments for her and dispensing necessary medications. While owning a dog in her declining years can be very stressful to an owner, knowing your veterinarians are there to assist you in general or emergency health issues is tremendously comforting. I am very, very grateful.

They are great. And they take ApplePay! And WiFi. We took Gracie, our 13 year old Lhasa Apso for her yearly checkup. Making an appointment over the phone was easy and convenient. The was a short wait in their large clean waiting room. Dr Robbie gave her a thorough exam and shots. We had used a different vet for years but will now be going to Fanwood Animal Hospital.

I have been taking my pets to Fanwood Animal Hospital for at least 15 years and have always been happy with the treatment that my dogs and cats have received there. I have found the vets and all of the staff to be very compassionate people. They treat my pets as if they were their own and I never feel rushed in an appointment. Last week when I was there and saw Dr. Franz with our new puppy, I was thinking on my way home how I wished I could find a pediatrician for my son who is as compassionate and thorough a doctor as Dr. Franz is for my dog. I used this practice 35 years ago with my very first dog. When I recently got 2 new dogs, I looked to see if they were still in business. The ownership has changed since then, but the service is still outstanding! Dr. Frantz and the entire staff are wonderful to work with! They truly have your pet's best interest at heart. The doctors get back to you quickly if you have questions and never recommend unnecessary treatments just to make a few bucks. They have convenient hours and get you in quickly for appointments. i can't say enough about how much of a pleasure it is to have them care for my fur babies and I recommend them to anyone looking for a great vet!

Fanwood Animal Hospital is absolutely the best place to take your pet. The staff is truly caring and, should your pet have an important issue, will do their best to have him or her seen that same day. As far as Dr. Franz, well, I can't say enough about this good gentleman. His concern for the animals shines through in everything he does. Our cat was always very fearful of "the vet" and would react accordingly when in his office. Dr. Franz' patience with her was simply without equal. It was never hard to see how much he cares, loves and is concerned about the animals in his care. During our cat's final days, this concern was never more evident. His frankness and patience with us, and his gentleness toward our cat were without equal. I would highly recommend Dr. Franz and his staff at Fanwood Animal Hospital.

A little expensive. Price quoted for a shot didn't include the doctors fee. Took 35.00 shot up to 75.00+. Hey, when asked for a price why don't you tell the consumer the the bottom line.

Dr. Rachel Roby was just wonderful when I brought my senior cat Maxie in because he had lost weight and wasn’t acting himself. She was so gentle examining him, that he never hissed at her! Dr. Roby took blood work and gave him a liquid supplement to help his appetite. Maxie is doing well now!

This is BY FAR the best veterinary group in the area. I would travel over an hour if I had to for the quality care we received by Dr. Frantz and his staff. Our dog LOVES going!
