A lovely, welcoming, friendly, happy Veterinarian practice in small-town New Hampshire! I have never had a bad experience with any of the 25 or so different animals I've taken here over the years, and my animals have never shown any fear at going to this clinic (which is even more important than my own experience -- the sensibilities of the animal needing care is paramount to my choosing a veterinarian!), and I know dozens of people who all feel the same way. If you're new to the area, or just looking to change Animal Doctors, please give Pleasant Lake your consideration. I have always recommended it to friends, family, strangers, everyone, and I will continue to do so! I love Dr. Mona Rooney ~ She is OUTSTANDING with my fur-babies and just as outstanding dealing with us lowly humans as well! In my 40+ years of experience, I've often found veterinarians that are EITHER extremely good with the animals OR extremely good with the public/humans, and rarely have I found a vet that is equally proficient in both. For one to be able to communicate effectively to the pet-parent what is going on with your animal AND be able to put the animal at ease, that's true talent. I truly love taking my animals here.

2016 is my dog's 13th year at PLVH. Lance has done very well there. Regular care services are scheduled with notifications. The vets are very calm and friendly with Lance. They ask questions and listen when I have any concerns. If the need arises, and I have concerns about his health or certain conditions, the vets engage with give and take Q&A. We reach agreement on their assessments. I have never been faced with a situation where the vets would jump to a conclusion or make an "end of story" type of statement without my being completely satisfied with their diagnosis. I really like their online contact system that gives me access 24/7.

Pleasant Lake Vet has been the care taker of our Cat for his entire life, and he has had and is having a great life. The Vets and the entire staff is welcoming, available, and more than competent. I highly recommend this Veterinary practice. You would be hard-pressed to find better service.

I have been going to Pleasant Lake for years. They are compassionate and kind and loving to animals of all sizes. We found our way to them when my late pit bull hated having her nails done and other vets had to sedate her. That was too much for me. After the first visit, I knew that we found a great place, no more sedation! They took care of her and my two old cats when it was time for their passing with so much compassion for them and for ME! I now take my pit to them and they have an entrance in the back so we don't have to run into any other 4 legged creature (she loves people, not other animals). They are very accomodating and I highly recommend them!

Vets are top notch. Techs are a mixed bag. They range from "shouldn't be allowed to work with animals (or humans for that matter)" to "very competent and helpful". Receptionists are universally rude and unpleasant.

All the staff - the vets/techs/admin are very caring and professional. Treat our pets like they were their own :). I have several dogs and cats and all options are explored when making significant treatment decisions. Staff is available when an emergency occurs as has happened within our 'fur family'. Another big plus is they help in pet rescue, i.e. rescue and place abandoned animals. We made the switch to PLVH even though it is less convenient because of the care our pets receive. Thank you Pleasant Lake Vet. Hosp. staff !

Nice doctors, but the vet tech was unnecessarily restrictive. When my kitty got scared of the random people poking her, the tech refused to let me calm her down. This cat is one that is friendly and gentle at all times.
