We bring our nervous, nippy chihuahuas to Lockridge Animal Hospital for everything from nail clipping, immunizations, and yearly exams. The staff are thorough, considerate of our dogs' nervousness, and get the job done without freaking our pups out a ton. Pricing isn't astronomical. Tons of parking, puppy poo poo area conveniently located off of parking lot, and they are right off the highway!
Had my first visit at Lockridge with Matteo, my 5 year old recently adopted Domestic shorthair. I was extremely nervous to bring him to the vet because he hates car rides and I got him from a shelter. Lockridge put me right at ease. I was immediately comforted by the fact that they have a separate waiting room for cats and dogs, so I knew I didn't have to worry about Matteo's interactions with other animals. I also really appreciated how thorough and nice Dr. Childress and Alexis the technician were. Matteo was in good care there and I know that Matteo and I are going to be a part of the Lockridge Animal Hospital family as clients for a very long time. Thanks for the great care. See you guys soon.
Staff are great but their price have almost double in the two years I've been going there. When i ask about that, they said well it is a new year.
These people are so absolutely wonderful, caring, and professional. My lil guy always loves coming here!
I have been taking my 2 dogs and cats to Lockridge Animal Hospital for over 10 yrs. The entire team are warm, professional and very welcoming to my animals and me. We always review what will be done during our visit in advance, so there are no surprises. I couldn't be happier with their service, treatment and results. This last year, the folks at Lockridge and I endured a very challenging and heartbreaking scenario with the love of my life, Romeo. Romeo was diagnosed with Copper Storage Disease, a rare and sometimes treatable liver disease. Unfortunately, my Romeo did pass away, despite all of our best efforts. Dr. Pamela Richard and the team of care givers at Lockridge consistently went above and beyond expectations in his treatment, frequently reaching out to the top professionals across the country to ensure Romeo received the very best and latest treatments. In the end, the compassion and love they showed both me and Romeo allowed us to bring him to a very peaceful death. And for this, I will be eternally grateful. Thank you again, to all the staff and Dr. Richard in particular, for your tireless efforts and support during such a difficult time. Knowing that you all cared, loved and will share his memory gives he and I enormous peace.
Great staff, have taken great care of all my animals for years!
Dr Macammon and the team at Lockridge Animal Hospital are amazing. They have been our go to animal hospital for over 13 years. Highly highly recommend!!!
I have been taking my pets to Lockridge Animal Hospital for many years. The staff is wonderful, friendly, caring, honest, and the facilities are always clean inside and out. The cost for yearly visits and vaccinations are reasonable. I bring 5 cats and a dog every year and the staff know that my expenses can add up so if there is a way for me to save money without compromising my pet's care they are honest and tell me. I have never been to any other vet that does that. If there are different treatments or tests available they will tell me my options and let me decide which I think is best for my pet. I have never felt pressured into any unnecessary treatments for my pets. If I can get a prescription for my pet for less money at a pharmacy they will write a prescription for it. Not only is the medical care for my pets above average they have also been able to give me great advice to improve my pets behavior issues. I think my pets are lucky to have such great place to go to.
I just love Lockridge Animal Hospital. The staff their is freindly and very helpful. I would recommend Lockridge Animal Hospital to care for your pets. They have the best doctors . Been going there for years. The staff is just amazing! The doctors are great! The hospital is very clean and inviting.
I have been taking my dog, Coco, to Lockridge Animal Hospital for the past 8 years. The doctors and staff at the hospital are amazing. The facility is clean, professional, and very nice. The staff is very accommodating and friendly with all clients that walk through the doors. I have always been able to get an appointment for my dog in a short time frame, and been able to speak with a doctor if I needed to. If you are looking for a new animal hospital for your pet then look no further than Lockridge Animal Hospital.
Very good
Can't complain about the service but I wish the prices were better.
If you are currently reading reviews on Vets and wondering where to take your animals... STOP right now and just go to LAH. I can honestly say that there is no where else in the world that I would ever take my 3 babies for care. We bought a house about 30 - 40 minutes away now and still we would never go anywhere else. The day I found Lockridge was a complete blessing, this office is full of people that truly care about my kiddos from the moment they walk in that door. I've been there for just about everything now for my 2 Dalmatians and our cat. From routine wellness visits, illnesses, unfortunate cancer, and even recently a crazy accident. They've been amazing with every step of the way, and even console this crazy Fur Mom when she's worried sick. From the incredible Doctor's to the sweet ladies at the front desk, you'll be well taken care of. Every single person in the building rocks. We're big Dr. Leahy fans. Thanks a million LAH! <3 Dempsey, Dino, & Moses... and their crazy parents too :)
One of the best vets in the area. I started bringing my cat and dog here on the recommendation of a friend who drives all the way from Weare to bring his dogs here. The staff is fantastic and the doctors are wonderful. My own mother who lives an hour south near Boston started bringing her dog here. He passed from cancer, but the staff was wonderful in his treatment. You can really tell that the staff and doctors become attached to their animal patients and truly care about them.
On 6/9 I took my sweet 14 yr old kitty "Jayla" to Lockridge as she was losing weight and wasn't eating very much. She saw the most kind and gentle vet, Dr.Carey. It was determined after several tests that Jayla had liver disease. Dr. Carey called me after hours on several different occasions to discuss Jayla's health. In fact, on Sat. 6/20, she actually had one of her associates call to see how Jayla was. It appeared that she was having a little respite, but then went down hill quickly. Very, very sad. It was decided to put Jayla to sleep. I made an appt. to have Jayla put to sleep on 7/3, at home. However, by 7/1, Jayla had had nothing to eat or drink for 2 days. I called Dr. Carey and she and Beth were able to come to the house that evening to put Jayla's suffering to an end. Both Dr. Carey and Beth were wonderful, caring, and gentle in Jayla's last moments. She died peacefully with love surrounding her. Dr. Carey went above and beyond to help. Thank you very much. May Jayla and her brother Noah be joined over the Rainbow Bridge.
Great place! Love our Vet!
Best veterinary care for my beagle for the past ten years and still at it!
I like Lockridge because everyone really seems to care about your pet(s). It's a small, quaint, private business with a friendly staff. I compare my visits to the Cheers theme song lyrics: "Sometimes you want to go Where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came." Because everyone remembers and greets me and my very expressive Calico, Mama. :) Prices for visits/treatments/tests/meds are moderate-pricey depending on what your pet needs. Though, I am happy to pay for the great care and services of my vets.
Great care!
Very caring people
Sad to say this isn't the first time writing a review for this company. Had a very bad experience with a doctor, which was only dealt with after we had shared our bad experience here. Here we are a few months later with the final straw. Lockridge has some amazing employees and doctors, but management seems to care more about money than the well being of the animals. We brought our dog in to get seen Saturday morning as he was not feeling good the day before. Dr Fisher did a great job examining captain and helping figuring out what was wrong. We ordered a blood test to get more answers to trace the issue down. Their machine failed and they had said it would be only 20 minutes. They said they outsourced the lab work to another company and we would have results Monday as they didn't work Sunday. We were given a broad guess of a treatment because it was better than nothing and waiting. Come sunday morning he was feeling much much worse. We had to go to the emergency vet. They needed results from the test lockridge failed to produce, so we had to order the same blood work test that lockridge wouldn't get till monday. They helped trace down what might be the issue. At this point I had been spending money I didn't have to help my best friend and hoped on Monday I could sort out the lab work costs and get credit from Lockridge as they failed to deliver on what they said. Dr Fisher called from Lockridge to see how he was doing and captain was having a very fast turn around being on the right medicine. She wanted another test that would cost $200 to see if he had a certain disease. I wanted to do it, but didn't have the money and was still waiting to get information back about a credit for the late lab work results. A manager denied the request and then the owner did as well. Very sad that they left the burden to me an owner who only wants to help my sick best friend. They might act like its all about the dogs but know money blinds them with whats right. Sad way to run a business. It seemed the vet who was trying to help me get the credit to afford the test was in disbelief at the managements decision. Good employees bad management. Your failed equipment is not the burden of the customer get your ethics in check. Moving my pup to a new vet. Hopefully everyone elses experiences are better when going to this company.
Pricey, but amazing. Staff is wonderful, friendly and great with pets.
Dr. Fischer is amazing with my animals. She goes above & beyond from what any other vets have ever done for me in the past.
We have a 14 year old diabetic cat that had been misdiagnosed for 2 years at our previous vet. When he wasn't getting any better we decided to transfer to Lockridge. At our very first appointment less than 5 minutes in my cat was properly diagnosed and taken care of. He has also had to stay there for a week long due to pancreatitis from a hairball that he passed without surgery thanks to Dr. McCammon. While he was there I got daily phone calls updating me on his mood and progress and never once had to worry about the care he received while there. I am so happy that we made the change to Lockridge I feel that Dr McCammon and all the staff there have saved my cats life and as long as I am a pet owner Lockridge will be the only vet we will choose to go to. I cannot express how happy we have been with them. And my cat loves all his friends there.
This is a reply to a review of some years ago. The original post is in the past .. " Our top priority in any situation is two fold. . we must attempt to please our client and we must do our very best for the animal patient. In making our recommendations after examining a pet I draw on 24 plus years of experience in seeing countless patients with similar problems and pet owners with similar situations. While no two pets or owners are exactly the same my past experiences and medical knowledge MUST guide my advice to the client. We will not take the life of a pet "on demand". By the same token we will not allow suffering and unpleasant death in any pet if we can prevent it. When we advise our clients as to the best course of care..it is UP TO THEM. We do not force them to do that which they do not wish to do. We will modify and alter and adjust our plan to fit the clients needs, desires AND BUDGET as much as we possibly can AS LONG AS THE WELL BEING OF THE ANIMAL is not jeopardized. It is not uncommon for elderly pets to appear one way at home and differently at the veterinary office. Since I cannot step into an owners life and experience what they see 24 hours a day with their pet.. I must make my" best call" based upon the history that the owner provides, what I can determine via my time with the pet in the office and whatever testing that can help us know what is wrong with a patient. These types of appointments are by their very nature emotional. A major discussion would have occurred with the options laid out and discussed. The final course of action would be arrived at through this means and would have been AGREED to by the owner. When such a course of therapy is undertaken ie: a "trial" treatment done empirically without the benefit of diagnostic tests (such as xrays in this case) communication between owner and doctor AFTER the patient returns home is essential. A follow up visit to determine whether our care is working or not is always scheduled. This follow up would have allowed me to reassess the pet and reconsider the viability of euthanasia if things were not going as hoped. If this owner felt that her dog's condition was deteriorating rather than improving a call to us would have led to prompt action on our part including if necessary euthanasia!! There is NO EXCUSE for her to have died an unpleasant death at home. She did not go from the dog I saw in the appointment to death overnight! We are available at any time and would have dropped everything in order to have seen this dog if the owner had presented her to us in such a state! I am human and while I am CERTAIN that I am not ALWAYS right I do know that I practice with my heart and best intentions for the pet. I can relate countless similar stories of pets presented by a distraught owner ready to say goodbye. thinking that there was no more to be offered who were helped by "11th hour " interventions that gained more weeks months or years of precious time together. I have numerous cards and pictures from the families of these pets to attest. This person has experienced the unfortunate loss of her pet. Why did she not call us or if she did not trust us,another veterinarian when her dog became so ill at the end that she thought her death was near? She states that she has been religiously coming to us for 10 years. Obviously she felt that the care given was good up until this event. We cannot see the future. All we can do is offer our best judgment. Whether we are right or wrong often depends on variables we cannot control. I accept that I may lose a client or worse in this new internet age.. be publicly denounced with proclamations of "hatred" as this person states. I will continue to try to strike the best balance I can between the expectations of the client and the well being of the patient. My priority must tip the scale to the latter. To do otherwise would betray all that I believe in in the practice of my profession. My heartfelt condolences go out to this person and especially her dog .
Dr.Hinz has taken great care of all of our rabbits. One day, our rabbit started choking and we rushed him in without even calling. It was a Sunday and they were technically closed but were open for an open house event. She went right to work and saved his life that day. We are so grateful for her and all the other workers here.
The doctors are very caring and thorough.
t.l.c toward my pets and my family. LoveDr. Richard.
Very friendly staff
I've had dogs and cats all my life so sadly I've seen too many come and go; miss them all. Many of them were rescues and along with dogs I have bred in the past, I've never spared money for their healthcare. Unfortunately, animal care today does not come cheap because of the modern care available and the associated costs that come with it. During that time I've also had my experiences with both good and poor veterinarians, some who were not thorough so they misdiagnosed conditions in my pets. Still, like all professions not everybody's services, thoroughness or competency are equal. Nonetheless, Mike McCammon and Pam Richard have assembled an amazing staff of veterinarians that includes Eileen Fisher, Will and Kristen Childress, Carolyn Leahy, and Krsytyna Hinz. Along with their dedicated staff, such as June, Becky, Gail, Robin, Christine, Sandra, Stephanie, and Tiffany, just to name a few, we have become good friends over the years. Lockridge Animal Hospital offers just about everything possible in modern healthcare for your pets. For example, we were able prolong the life and quality of a few of my best friends thanks to the technology of laser therapy. Overall, Lockridge Animal Hospital truly deserves a five-star rating. I applaud their competency and thoroughness as well as their services. It's probably why it's always a "busy place."
Our family started at LAH over 50 years ago. We were so loyal that even after moving forty-five minutes away, we still went to LAH. We were concerned when the practice was sold but we couldn't be happier with the new doctors. They have been patient, compassionate, and simply wonderful with our cats. Even though we have since lost our cat family from the Dr. Lockridge days, we continue as clients because we know that our cats are getting the most progressive and thoughtful care possible. I can't recommend highly enough this practice for your animals. We continue to rely on Lockridge Animal Hospital for the care for all of our four beloved cats.
We were visiting from Florida and Lockridge Animal Hospital was recommended to us because our dog's eye became infected. The team was able to see our dog the same day. Excellent staff. Everyone treated us like we had been going there for years. The office was super clean and organized. As a follow up, we had to return a second time for a different issue. Same excellent service, friendliness, etc. I recommend this business based on the great customer service, the time they spend with your pet, and detailed explanation of care, medication on-site available, and the the overall experience of the whole team involved.
My Puggle has gone to Lockridge Animal Hospital since she was a puppy. She is now 13 1/2 years old. I always follow their plans for her to be in good health. When her care is out of the ordinary, I am given paperwork that states what the fees will be. Being a senior dog, I understand I will be paying more for tests, etc. But I am willing to do this to catch any problems early. Lucy is a happy, healthy dog that gives her family enormous joy!! She’s cared for at Lockridge where I think they will help me keep her for years to come. Thank you!
They are a very compassionate and caring facility. Every time we visit you cab feel the love they have for what they do and who they do it for.
They took such good care of my Gracie. Her teeth are all fixed and breath is normal. Thank goodness! Professional and friendly and caring staff. We love Lockridge!
Excellent care and Excellent Staff! Dr. Leahy is terriffic
I've been here twice both times different dogs. They were fantastic and made us feel comfortable.
This vet practice is equipped to handle many problems from quarantine, to surgery, to sterile surgeries. They are cat friendly and have separate waiting rooms, exam rooms, and holding areas for dogs and cats. It is clear that they care about your animals. My elderly cat has been only twice to this vet practice. Once for a physical and vaccines and the second time for dental cleaning and tooth extraction. Everyone in the office knew of and fell in love with our cat! It made me confident and comfortable with leaving my cat for the day in their capable hands!
Outstanding care! In the short time we have been at Lockridge they have gone above and beyond to welcome us in and get to know the newest member of our family. We had a small scare and they got us in within an hour and was there the check up the next few days. The staff are friendly and care tremendously for the animals. We are lucky to have found them!
I have been going to Lockridge for 16 years. Our previous dog went there his entire life and our 4 year old has been going his whole life. The staff is wonderful and caring.
I've been taking my pets to Lockridge for over 20 years. They are THE best! Everyone there from the receptionists, to the technicians, to the veterinary assistants, to the veterinarians, is so caring and kind yet professional. The care they dispense is first class and they explain everything so you can understand and answer any questions you have. I wouldn't trust anyone else to care for my pets My favorite is Dr. McCammon, but Dr. Richard, Dr. Carey, and even the "new" guy Dr. Gentilella is great. Thanks for taking such great care of my family, past and present.
Dr. Fisher went out of her way to help my dog Dewy. I wish all Veterinarians cared this much. Thank you Dr. Fisher
Lockridge Animal Hospital is a great place to bring your pets for care! The facilities are nice and clean with an area outside to relieve themselves before going in for treatment. My dog Layla is there about twice a year for an allergic skin condition she has or a checkup and every time we go she is treated as if she is family.
Lockridge Animal Hospital has been taking care of our golden retriever since he was a puppy and we have always had a great experience. We've worked with all of the veterinarians and technicians, and cannot say enough about their professionalism, kindness, and the sense of comfort we feel when having to leave our "fur baby" for the day. "Aunty Becky" is always up front with a smile and treat when we enter, and there to say goodbye and wish us well when we leave. We would especially like to thank Dr. Fisher and Dr. McCammon for helping our Kody Bear through his most recent procedure. You guys are all the best and we cannot thank you enough!
About 10 years ago on a sub-zero Saturday morning an apparently very sick stray showed up at my house. Because he was so ill and weak I was able to get him into a carrier. However when I telephoned my animal hospital they were not able to "fit me into their schedule" even though I stressed how ill this poor creature was. They suggested I take him to the shelter. I could not even consider just dropping off such a sick animal and walking away. After calling several other animal hospitals and receiving the same response, I called Lockridge. I had never been there and by this time it was 11:00, an hour before they closed. They told me to bring him right up and this is when I first met Dr. McCammon. After a short exam of "Little Stray" it was apparent that his condition was very poor. Dr. McCammon had him wrapped in heating pads and I left him for further evaluation. Later in the afternoon, Dr. M. called to let me know that "Little Stray" was beyond any help and together we made the sad decision to let him go. The next day (Sunday) I received a phone call from Dr. M. to assure me that Little Stray had a peaceful end and to thank me for my compassion. That afternoon I made the decision to have Lockridge and Dr. McCammon as my animals' health provider; and I have not once regretted that decision. I seem to be a magnet for stray kitties and it is my belief that any that make their way to me, belong with me. Needless to say, I have had and currently have a large furry family! In the course of the past 10 years, there have been many difficult and challenging medical issues along with much heartbreak. However I always felt that the "Lockridge Team" was leaving no stone unturned in both the medical care and TLC provided...not to mention the heartfelt hand-holding for me. I never put a price tag on my animals' health; however I have very high expectations of what I will receive for that money spent. I want the best I can find in expertise, cutting-edge treatments, compassion, attention to detail, follow-through, cleanliness and best-practice procedures. When I feel that is lacking, I have not hesitated to move on to another provider. That has never even come close in my experiences with Lockridge. Oh, one more observation....there is no way anyone can take their animal there and not come away knowing that for everyone who works there (doctors, reception, technician, cage attendant, etc.) it is more than a job...it is about the love of animals. I am certain that Drs. McCammon and Richards would not have it any other way!!
Going to be brief..... Lockridge Animal Hospital and her staff, awesome, bar none. From Dr. McCammon to the vet tech's and front desk. Been going there for over twelve years, miss ya (junior) JR and now with a new number 1 ( Zoey),hopefully be there another twelve minimum. Thank all you guys at Lockridge for being there God Bless, and continue doing Gods work
It all depends who you get. On the phone. At reception. At the doctor visit. Some of the staff are extremely nice, and will go out of their way to answer your questions to the fullest extent. These individuals are rare and AMAZING!! Unfortunately tho, the majority of the staff is condescending, pushy, and make you feel like they have more important things to do than to take the time to listen to you and to answer your questions. They are NOT there to SERVE you. They are "too busy." It all really makes you feel like just a number... not a person, and definitely not a concerned pet parent worthy of respect. Lockridge is also EXTREMELY pricey and do NOT go out of their way to help you find cheaper alternatives. (Ultrasounds 300$ vs150$ at Vet B. Meds 40$ vs 18$ at local pharmacy). They rather have your business AND all your money, as opposed to your loyal trust as a customer and a willingness to help you go elsewhere for any needed extras (meds, treats, food, etc). ~If you do not feel you can trust your vet... then its time to find a new vet. And this one is not it~
Couldn't be happier with the care, attention, and love that my cat Duncan receives when he has appointments. His "girlfriends" (reception, nurses) are all so kind and dote on him - even though he can be a tad difficult! Everyone answers questions thoroughly, detailed, and I've never left feeling confused. My fur-child has to go almost regularly for routine dental cleanings, has had to have a few teeth pulled to try to manage his gum-disease, and they were also VERY quick to find that he had two bladder stones that needed to be removed. Dr. M was so helpful and reassuring that surgery would be the best option to get him healed and on the road to recovery, it put me at ease for something I was so nervous to do. They scheduled him immediately, and for that I was so grateful. While going through "sleepovers" (overnight recovery), everyone was so sweet to let this worried Mama visit to check on progress and answer questions. Duncan even texted me one night with a photo and a "miss you!" text ;) It's the constant communication, little details, and general friendliness that Duncan and I love about Lockridge. There have been times where the hospital has run late for appointments - but with a busy practice, that's to be expected. I can't knock a star off for that! Even when busy, they still give their undivided attention to Duncan and I. We are so happy we were recommended this Vet and we certainly recommend them to anyone looking. Dr. McCammon & Staff - Duncan and I are forever grateful for your love and care, and we appreciate all that you do!
Just a all-around great place to bring your pet for care
Very clean, professional and prompt animal hospital.
Very attentive staff...thorough medical professionals
We love Lockridge animal Hospital. Recently we transferred from another vet, and we couldn’t be happier. Their staff is nice and kind, they treat the animals and the owners with respect. I highly recommend them!
Brought both cats to have nails trimmed, was in and out quickly. Friendly Staff.
They took part in saving my doggies life. Doctor Hinz helped me amd my dog so much. Some say they are expensive, but they are very local to me in south side. They have a nice little doggy bathroom area next to the parking lot. Thank you lockridge.
This is the BEST vets office I’ve ever been to. The staff are so friendly and wonderful. I can tell they really love their jobs and their furry patients. I felt that Lucy is in the best hands and is getting the best care from this team of professionals. Also, they’re so flexible with scheduling and rescheduling when life gets crazy.
A really impressive vet hospital with caring staff and knowledgeable professionals. I was impressed with the quality of the care. Clean and friendly location. Was busy when I got there but they still saw my cat at the scheduled time and overall I can say I am pleased thus far.
This is the best Animal Hospital in the state. They take good care of your pet and are very polite to you. Love it there.
We have been with Lockridge Animal Hospital for over 12 years. The staff, and especially Dr. Pamela Richards are extremely caring and humanistic in their approach in dealing with our pets and with us. Our first Golden Retriever, Houston, was diagnosed with cancer of the aorta in 2012. He fought a brave battle, as we did, to assure the best of care. Dr. Richards provided the treatment options and direction to assure our treasured pet was comfortable during his battle. When it finally came to the point that allowing him to go on was not the right decision, Dr. Richards and her assistant cried along with us in his final moments. We now have our second Golden, River. He has been in Dr. Richards care since a puppy and is doing very well. Her calming effect has often resulted in offsetting his puppy energy and enthusiasm. Although we have singled out Dr. Richards in our praise, we have found all of the veterinarians and staff at Lockridge to be very professional and caring in the treatment of our pets. Tom & Karen Bunce
I needed help and honest assistance with the decision to help my 16 year old cat pass on, as he was riddled with ailments and soon for a particularly unpleasant natural end. The staff was so tremendously respectful, professional and kind... I can't say enough. They addressed billing tactfully and made every effort to accommodate my needs throughout the consultation and procedure. I don't think anyone feels comfortable with this sort of decision, but the tech and doctor were exactly what I needed - they gave me the options, encouraging no decision, and supported the outcome I came to with tremendous compassion and kindness. When I'm ready for my next pet, I will continue to patronize this establishment - they're good people focused on the well being of your pet and best outcome for the family.
This is new and only go to place for our little non fur baby!! They have a dedicated Cat area. Very clean.Staff is great and very personable. Love that they follow up with you and check on your little one!! Won't be going to any other vet!
We are so happy to have found Lockridge Animal Hospital! We had tried 3 or 4 other practises, looking for the "right one", but no-one took as much time, or answered our questions as thoroughly and patiently as Dr. McCammon and his wonderful staff. All of their charges are well within the reasonable range, and we have allways felt that our own opinions and feelings about tests and treatments were heard and respected. I reccommend them to anyone looking for the best vetrinary practise.
I cannot say enough about this place. They have helped us out more than any other vet that I have ever been too. The staff is kind caring always friendly and ready to help!! Thanks Guys for being so awesome!!
Very good place to bring your pet
Lockridge has been fantastic with my pets for years. They have seen my cats their entire lives, from the moment we adopted them. They take fantastic care of my Corgi and have helped me to find him a treatment that works for his arthritis. They are always respectful, and will talk you through the best possible treatment options for your pets. They will also break down cost and be up front with you about the risks. They are the only vet I have been to that knows me and my animals on sight, even if we haven't been in since the last yearly check up. I can't recommend them enough.
I'm only going to comment on part of the experience here... my daughter really should be the one to rate the care (her puppy was spayed). She wasn't able to pick up her up before closing, so my wife and I went. It just seemed like there were a lot of people standing around not doing much....it took nearly an hour to get the dog (and, yes, they had called earlier and knew we were coming at 5)....Just seemed painfully slow and terribly unorganized. I will say that it did seem.like the pup got great care.
I am very happy Daisy receives great medical care here. We both feel very supported. Dr Childress is awesome. Great caring staff. Thank you! Margo
My vet great place
Always there to help, staff is amazing.
Lockridge has been the vet for my dogs since moving to NH 12 yrs ago. Always impressed with their professionalism and genuine concern for the well being of my dogs. I appreciate their attention to detail and they never fail to take the time to answer any questions we may have. The staff is always friendly and courteous. Wouldn't consider taking my dogs anywhere else.
My co custody dog getting a laser treatment seems to have worked he is doing much better now
How do I begin? Let me first say that I am the person that will stop in traffic to make sure a turtle safely crosses the road. I have even stopped my car to help a slew of caterpillars make it across the street safely. That being said, I have 3 dogs and 1 cat and had moved to Manchester 9 years ago. Naturally, the first order of business was to find a vet for my precious pets. The bar is set extremely high with me when it comes to the treatment and care of any animal especaill MY animals. I was fortunate enough to choose Lockridge Animal Hospital and have been bringing all my pets there ever since. Dr. Pamela Richard and her staff are so caring, loving and extremely knowledgable when it comes to veterinarian medicine it is hard to find words to describe them. However, the word that continues to come to mind is PHENOMANAL. Every staff member there treats their furry pateints with tender loving care. I could not have found better veterinarians than the vets at Lockridge Animal Hospital. They were there when I had to put one of my beloved dogs to rest and "held my hand" throughout the entire process. They even sent me a condolences card which Dr. RIchard too the time out of her busy schedule to hand write with a deeply personal message. I am not alone. Pretty much all of my friends and family members bring their animals to this animal hospital because of personal attention and dedicaton the staff has to each and every one of their clients..furry and human. I would give them TEN stars but I am limited to five.
The staff and Vets are kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. They are pricey, however, will access they most humane, cost effective and beneficial, means possible to treat whatever ails your pet. Since the pets cannot talk, they must also observe the problematic human owner, such as myself, who equate food with love. I want my little, beloved chow hound to be happy. Food makes Max happy. He is overweight and this is not good for his health. Mommy and Daddy struggle with this. Theoretically, both beloved pet and owner are their patients'. With this thought, perhaps they are not charging enough.
Love everyone here. They are so welcoming and truly enjoy their job.
Taking care of my pets here all my life, Head Vet REALLY cares about animals
It was stressful to find a place that i could trust with my handsome fluffy little angel.then i came upon lockridge animal hospital and so we had our first visit and i am very satisfied about the animal hospital and even the doctors and staff, they were all great, friendly, helpful, kind.i look forward to taken angel to lockridge animal hospital for a long time.i recommend anyone to go to lockridge animal hospital you will not be disappointed,i know im not.
No complaints. Very satisfied
Compassionate, competent care for over 18 years!!!!
Got my feline's dental estimate mistaken with another feline. I think this is serious.
They take good care of animals
I am surprised to see negative comments about Lockridge Animal Hospital. I have every bit of trust in Dr, M. Mccammon I have a German Shepard that is my only child, I treat him like a human as everyone should. I can only say you pay for what you get, Like in Human health care do you want the best or the rest? I chose the best and that is what I have in Dr. M. Mccammon. I listen to other people say they pay too much at there vet, apples and oranges as far as price. My dog gets health check ups and has been treated for minor things to having surgery. I trust no other with him. I went to Lockridge before Dr. Mccammon bought the business and I can say I am much happier with him than the last owner many years ago. (Had cats) I do not work there nor do I get any discounts, so those of you who want to discredit a real comment as this on is, please know what you are talking about before posting. I find the staff pleasant and if I had an issue I would have no problem talking to the Dr. about it.
Lockridge has always taken good care of our 2 dogs since they were puppies and they're about to go on 13 years now.
UPDATE: I have changed my review from 2 stars to 3. My experience was not great, but speaking with the office manager made me feel a thousand times better. Stephanie, thank you so much! I was highly recommended to go to this facility from family and friends. I am very disappointed that we will be transferring care. The doctors are amazing, the facility is absolutely beautiful, the prices are quite reasonable, and I've had great assistance from all the staff that I've worked with directly. My first visit with my male dog was great, but I was very uncomfortable with the way the technicians in the back of the reception area were speaking about clients while I was waiting for my appointment. I don't think the support staff realizes that we can hear everything they are saying when we are in the lobby. Comments about how they were dreading certain people coming in that day, how someone they just got off the phone with was being difficult, etc. It made me uncomfortable. My second visit with my female dog also went great overall. Except when I told the staff that I would like to discuss diet with the doctor. I wanted to get his opinion on incorporating some natural meats, grains, and vegetables into their diet because of all the horrifying things about dog food brands coming out in the news, as well as the rising popularity of home cooked dog food and dog food subscription services. And, because I want my dog to enjoy the taste of her food but in a healthy and appropriate way. It seemed like a very responsible thing as a loving pet owner to inquire about, and I wanted a doctor's opinion, not just information off the internet. While I was in the exam room, I could hear my check-in technician (who was very sweet!) kindly tell the other staff about my interest in learning more about diet. At this point I was in the exam room and the staff was in their tech area on the other side of the door. What I heard was extremely unprofessional and upsetting. The staff went "off" about it among themselves. The first reaction was someone very loudly saying "Oh my God, nooo, that is NOT how it WORKS!" and then some other muttered comments about "people don't know anything" "oh my God" "why??!", all dripping with attitude and judgement. Sitting in the exam room, able to hear everything they were saying, I have never been so uncomfortable, ashamed, or judged at a facility. I was responsibly educating myself, and I was excited to discuss this with the doctor and learn about his professional opinion. Instead, I almost burst into tears from the implication that inquiring about diet change at all is stupid and appalling. I understand the staff deals with difficult people, but I have been polite, patient, and friendly to the staff at this facility and I did not deserve that. I am a loving pet owner who is just trying to learn as much information as possible in order to do the absolute best for my dogs. The doctors are absolutely wonderful and again, all the technicians I've worked with directly have been very, very kind. But I am disappointed in the behavior of some of the staff in the back rooms who, in my opinion, I've observed to have horrible attitudes towards the people who choose to use services at this facility. I am glad to see others have had better experiences, and I hope moving forward the staff will be more mindful. We will be transferring care as soon as possible.
Our cat has been going to Lockridge for 2+ years. Overall I am happy with the staff and services provided. I do feel the pricing is very high, we have had two overnight stays with our cat and they charged us "medical waste removal" for everytime he pooped and various charges for "general hospital supplies". Ask for pricing before you agree to anything as they nickle and dime for everything.
Took my dog in today and had a wonderful experience with the knowledgeable staff. They were comfortable around my 80 pound Am. Bulldog, which put her at ease for a nail trim and her booster shots. They're quite busy, so don't expect a fast visit, but more importantly they spent time with my pup to thoroughly examine her and even collect her vet history from MA. They're very compassionate and understanding of pet parent needs and concerns as well.
Our 8 month old Labradoodle Dexter has been part of the Lockridge family since we brought him home at 8 weeks old. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. They are always able to see us even with less than 48 hours notice. I have NEVER had to wait for an appointment Dr. Richards is the BEST. We love seeing her when we go, and she always shows our puppy so much love. When our puppy hurt his leg when he was 14 weeks old we went back twice for follow ups and we received two calls at home just to check in to make sure our little boy was okay. When our puppy had a little ear ache at 7 months old, they called the next day to follow up with us on how Dexter was doing. We will be a Lockridge client for our dog, and our future dogs. We love them!
Wonderful place if you have a pet you love.
My family and I have been taking our pets here for over 15 years and absolutely love it! The staff is so friendly and extremely caring. They all genuinely love animals and their jobs, and it shows! Not only in their positive attitudes, but also the clean and well organized offices and waiting room. They offer tons of discounts in their already competitive prices to top it all off! I'd give them 100 stars if I could!
I went to Lockridge hospital on my friend's recommendation as I was on a holiday with my pets from MA. I had with me my little girl whom I knew was very sick. By Saturday morning, her strength were all gone... I met Dr Carolyn Leahy and she put an plan in action to see what needed to be done for Mia and what we could do to help her. After a blood test it became clear that my poor little girl could not make it any longer. When the decision was taken, the whole staff were very considerate, helpful, leaving me plenty of time to say goodbyes. If there is ever a good place to do it, I highly recommend Lockridge hospital. Thank you again to all of the staff and to Dr Leahy.
I have dealt with Lockridge on 2 "emergency" visits. Both times they were friendly and explained everything. It is very evident that their caring attitude is of great importance! Definitely will go back.
We love Lockridge Animal Hospital, the doctors and the staff are very caring and go out of their way to make sure your fur baby has the best care...
Always a long wait in the clinic despite having an appointment. I'm a dog breeder and spend thousands on health checks prior to breeding to make sure puppies are free of genetic issues. I had numerous calls, postcards, and face to face discussions to tell me it was time to spay my female. Clinic does not support responsible breeders and made me feel criminal. I found a new supportive clinic
Professionally trained staff that really care about and love animals! Always able to provide answers and services for many species of small animals. So clean! Many products available for purchase. State of the art equipment and up to date technology.
Great
Check-up for my cat.
They get prescriptions wrong more than right u wait a half hour to get called and a half hour to check out Nick h
Lockridge Animal Hospital and Dr. Carey are the BEST! We love Lockridge Animal Hospital and recommend it to everyone! We used to go to another local vet and continuing left there feeling disappointed, insulted and ripped off. Finally we had enough and decided to change vets. After the first time we met Dr. Carey we were hooked, she is the greatest vet in the world! She treats our dogs like they are her own. We have 4 dogs so obviously bringing them all to the vets regularly can get expensive… Dr. Carey is very considerate of our budget. I never feel like I am being up sold. She helps me prioritize what needs to be done and what can wait a little while. I talk with a lot of fellow dog owners and my research has found the Lockridge’s prices are very reasonable. Also they are very affordable to buy my dogs meds from and will even match online prices I find. But it is not just the saving money that keeps us coming back, it is the amazing care we get from Dr. Carey and all the girls. Every time I bring one of my “kids” in there they get spoiled rotten, all the girls coming over to pet them and give them kisses. They are always very accommodating to schedule my appointments for whenever is convenient to me. Several times Dr. Carey has called me to give me test results around 8pm or so and she thinks nothing of staying on the phone with me for an hour plus answering every single question I have (FYI on a night they close at 6pm!) It is clear that their customers (2 legged and 4 legged) are their #1 priority. Give them a chance and you will not regret it… in fact you will be client for life! -Johnna & Jeff Brown
Didn't have a local vet yet called and they saw my dog the same day even for a minor emergency. It was a quick wait time and a reasonable price for a first time visit. Hadn't been to the vet for a while because me and my dog get anxiety. They were totally understanding. I definitely would recommend this vet and we will be back!
I have been going to Lockridge since 1999 with 4 fur babies and have always felt that the doctors are top notch and truly care about the welfare of my pets. They have also demonstrated that they care about me and encourage my input. The support staff have also been terrific to deal with. They are receptive and responsive.
I have a going to lockridge animal hospital for years the doctors are very caring and the vet techs are extremely good I have a big dog and she's well taken care of their
Poor over priced service
This was something like three or four years ago now but I'm just looking around to get my cat fixed and this place was suggested so I decided it was time to write my review. Anyway my dog, Pippin, had just become old enough to be fixed and I brought her here, as it was recommended to me when I got her shots done and they had been really nice then. When I brought her in I asked for the range, highest and lowest prices, that people had ever paid so that I could make sure I got enough out of my bank account to pay for her to get fixed. After telling me the highest it would probably go was 500 I went and got the money, I was dumb enough to pull it from an atm and therefore exceed my limit because I believed what they told me. When I came back to get her when they called, around four thirty or so? Near the end of the day, I got a ride in. When I went to pay it was sudden three hundred dollars MORE than what they had told me originally. They tried to explain it as it taking more to put her under. Mind you she was a five pound silky terrier, I can't imagine how it magically took that much to put her under to fix her..They then told me that if I didn't get the money to them before they closed they would be KEEPING my dog over night and then CHARGING ME to keep her over night, all because they couldn't quote me properly. I will never go back there again. It would have been one thing if they had just misquoted and explained that I needed to go and find the money instead of basically making it sound as if I was going to skip out on them and then threatening to keep my dog. Never again, and I told that to them to their faces. They were so nice before that, but Pippin will never go there again.
Very caring staff. Dr Richard really cares about your pet and knows how much they mean to you
Lockridge staff is amazing ; extremely compassionate and state of the art And the place is immaculate!
Staff is knowledgeble, kind and friendly to both owner and pet, Dr. Hinz is truly one of the best, she knows her stuff, honest, considerate, funny. We are happy to have her as our vet!
Went back for our cats leukemia booster. My wife gave a 4 star review a month ago. Myself, not so thrilled. They charged us another $45 office visit fee. Totally bogus in my book. I'm done with the nickel and dimeing this practice believes in. A simple booster shot turns into a $105 vet bill. Very unsatisfied!!
They we're great about getting my daughters hamster cremated
My family has been taking our much loved family members to Lockridge Animal Hospital since 1952, even before it was Lockridge! We have been with Dr. Durant, Dr. Lockridge and now with Dr. McCammon's team. I have never been disappointed. I have laughed, and cried, in that office my whole life. Veterinary medicine has changed dramatically in my lifetime and I am grateful. What I a more grateful for is my decision to stay with the practice when Dr. Lockridge retired. They are the best team in the veterinary medical field. Five years ago I moved fifty miles away and still "we commute". When a loved one is injured or ill, trust is the most comforting feeling and I totally trust everyone at Lockridge. On a lighter note, it is the cleanest place I have ever seen!
We always brought my dog Rodney to this vet even had him put to sleep there. As horrible an experience it is to put down a pet, these guys were so nice. They let us have a lil room for our family to say goodbye. They didn't rush us, they knew it was hard & let us all cry and hug him. That 1st Christmas without him, they sent us a Christmas card saying they knew it was our first year without him & gave their well wishes. That was over 10 years ago & after that I will NOT take my pets anywhere else. I moved to FL last year, but anytime someone needs a recommendation I always tell them to go to Lockridge. Thank you for always being so good to the fuzziest parts of our family. We will always have a special place in our hearts for you guys
I have been going to Lockridge Animal Hospital with my cairn terrier for the past 14 years since he was 4 months old. He was neutered there, had his teeth cleaned, and seen on a regular basis for shots and visits. I have seen several doctors over the years and each one was kind and thorough. I would definitely recommend Lockridge to another animal lover.
Experienced, caring veterinarians and fabulous support staff!
Great experience, best vet I’ve been to in Manchester. Highly recommend going here, the staff is very kind and caring. 5/5!
They care for each animal as if it were their own. Terrific place with skilled veterinarians. I've brought 3 dogs there for their entire lives (15 yrs) and I've always felt that they were getting the best care available.
The staff at Lockridge Animal Hospital are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They have a nice layout of property where you can walk your pet around, and they keep the inside very nice and clean. I do feel they are a bit high priced, but if you love you pets as much as I love mine, they are well worth it, as they do everything to care for them. They do let you know upfront what's going on with your pet and what they feel is best for them, but ultimately let you decide what you can afford to have done. I like that about them. It's a great environment for them, as they do everything they can to help keep your pets critter free. They are the best, when it comes to that, as I've seen many other vets that don't take that kind of approach to help keep pets from transferring critters from one to the other. A+++++
Wonderful people.
Grate place always has my animals beat interest at heart
The staff at Lockridge are caring and compassionate. I always feel like my dog is in the hands of people who really care about him and his well being.
This is an EXTRAORDINARY Veterinary practice. I can't use too many superlatives about this group of Vets and their staff. My dogs (and cats prior) have been going to Lockridge Animal Hospital for approximately 17 years, and to say that the care they – and we (my husband and I) receive is exemplary doesn't begin to tell the story of how much I believe in this group of individuals. The care they give goes well beyond what you would expect from any practice. Our dog, Jesse became critically ill three years ago during a time we had to be away due to a family wedding. We received updates on Jesse’s progress two and three times a day and this made an extremely stressful situation so much more bearable. All of the doctors – Dr. Richard, Dr. McCammon, Dr. Carey, Dr. Fisher and Dr. Cornell all followed her progress closely. I had no doubt they were all treating her as one of their own family. Finally, they take whatever time is necessary to complete an exam and I (or my dogs) have never been rushed through an appointment. My questions are always answered and concerns addressed. Their follow through and compassion is outstanding - and extraordinary. They ALWAYS return phone calls - and make off-hours follow-up calls subsequent to treatment. I know that all the doctors know my pets thoroughly, and care for them as well. Furthermore, they have taken the time to know me and my husband, so that we are never a "number" on a chart, but more like a member of the family. The front office staff and techs are also absolutely amazing; professional, friendly, knowledgeable and wonderfully compassionate. This is a great group of caring, nurturing veterinarians, vet techs and front office staff. If you love your pet, you should take them to Lockridge.
Great staff, very knowledgeable. It's pricey here but I'd say it's worth it since it is a member of the family.
Everyone is very supportive and understanding. In the 13 years I have been going to them we have been through everything from new furbabies to end of life. They never push for unnecessary testing and are understanding of owner's budgets. The quality of care is exceptional. I recommend anyone looking for the best Veterinary Service around to make an appointment and decide for yourself. I am confident you will agree.
Friendly and professional staff. Never a problem getting a short notice appointment.
Very clean and fairly large vet office with a separate waiting area for dogs and cats. We had an issue and they were quick to set up an appointment for the next day. The women working the front desk are fantastic. It is pretty obvious that they like their jobs. They are more than happy to answer any questions, even over the phone. If they don't know the answer, they promptly call back after talking to a vet. The veterinarians and their assistants are wonderful as well. They explain things in an easy to understand way and will take all the time needed to answer questions - no rushing to get you out the door and another person in. They are warm and caring and treat your pet like it was their own. I can't give them enough praise. All practices should operate like this. I highly recommend Lockridge!
Dr Michael McCammon is an awesome caring vet. I have been going there for 40 plus years and now travel one hour to bring my pet to the person I totally trust!
Lockridge always goes above and beyond and has sense I started going there in 2015. I currently have a 3 y.o. German shepherd with extreme anxiety and they have always taken their time with him and made him feel as comfortable as possible and even schedule us at their less hectic times of the day, sometimes even during lunch. They are always willing to answer any questions I have, ii call randomly and they always have answers for me. Last year my bf and I took over care of an American Staffordshire terrier who is now a year old. Hes quite accident prone and also a nervous boy (I've taken them both to training classes) and they go above and beyond for him as well, he recently ingested a toy within the matter of seconds and he had to go to an emerengcyvet at midnight and over the next few passing days after the incident they called just to check on him to see how he was doing. They are incredibly patient with my boys and do what's best for them even if it's out of the "norm", like feeding them baby food while getting a vaccination, or taking the chair out of the room so my shepherd doesnt "hide" behind it. I will never go to another vet. Back in 2015 I had a doberman (may be RIP) but I was seeing another vet closer to my house and they failed me. They did not do proper protocol before nutering him. He ended up getting sick, never drew his blood gave me medication and sent me on my way. He continued to be sick (he was a rescue) so I brought him to lockridge. They did a blood draw and we had answers right away as to why he was sick. His kidney functions were off the chart, he needed to be put down. (No fault of my own, it was either from his past owner who gave him things dogs shouldent consume or infections from nutering incorrectly from previous vet in manchester) I had my doberman bear put to rest that day, with love and support from all of lockridge. Dr. Fisher was compassionate and I will forever be grateful for her in my time of weakness and loosing my best friend. I know I can depend on lockridge and their advice for both of my dogs wellbeing. I cannot say enough good things about lockridge. They do have dogs that come in that are not dog friendly towards other dogs and if were in the waiting room they politely ask me to move aside which I absoutely respect, they are thinking about me, my boys and the other owner and dog as well. Safty first. They are always on their toes and even the receptionists work so well together. They are all very knowledgeable and if they dont know the answer they will find out from the drs. They always keep their facility clean inside and out and are always willing to go above and beyond no matter the situation. They understand that all dogs are different, have different personalities and habits. I respect lockridge so much and I am so glad I have them as a part of my life and that they are taking care of my babies.
I have been going to different veterinarians in NH for more than 30 years and recently was recommended Lockridge by a friend. Now, after going there for a year I can honestly say that they are second to none! Every single person I have dealt with has been courteous and kind; treating all of my animals as if they were their own. I have gone through dental surgeries, spaying, and general health care on both dogs and cats and every time I have been extremely happy with the quality, care and results. I have also found their prices on everything to be lower than other Vets I used in the past. These people are the real deal, and run their hospital the way it should be run. It's not often I take the time to write a review (this is actually my first), but the Lockridge should be recognized for their excellence in animal care. In my experience, and that's extensive, there is no better!
We started going to Lockridge Animal Hospital in June 2017 after our senior cat, Bubba, tore his achilles tendon making a jump that was a little too ambitious for his age and weight. Lockridge took the time and gave Bubba the attention he needed in order to properly diagnose what was wrong. They treated him with such love and care. They were also able to heal his leg without surgery. He can now walk, jump, run, and play like normal- though he definitely takes it easier and will never try that ambitious jump again. We were also able to board Bubba for medical reasons while we were on our honeymoon because he had just come out of his cast and we wanted him to be with people we trusted while we were 3000+ miles from home. They took amazing care of him. This year, Bub had to have his teeth cleaned and they did an excellent job. He was fully recovered in 24 hours or less and had no complications. Bubba LOVES going to the vet now. Everyone at Lockridge that we have encountered is so kind and so caring. Lockridge is, in our opinion, a little expensive but the level of care is unsurpassable which makes that cost absolutely justifiable. We love Lockridge Animal Hospital!!!
Came in without an appointment, only waited half an hour. They took great care of our dog. It's clear how much they love animals. We're here for a follow-up and will keep coming here for regular checkups. Very happy with this vet.
They are great here, they take the time to inform and educate you unlike most places that that do there job and send u on your way. They genuinely care for the pets the walk threw there doors and it shows..Very friendly, and clean. I love the receptionist here there all kind and welcoming,Candice is my favorite, she is always so out going...Deff check this place out,I recommend them to all pet owners. Best care you will reserve it's worth the $.
In June 2009, Rosie, our nine-year-old Boston terrier, was listless, loosing weight, and found dirt to be appetizing. We took her to her favorite veterinarian, Dr. Pamela Richard. She found that Rosie was profoundly anemic. Xrays, blood samples, urine samples, blood tranfusions, a bone marrow aspirition and biopsy showed that Rosie had immune-mediated myelofibrosis (that meant her immune system was destroying her red blood cells). Dr. Richard and Dr. McCammon were tireless in their efforts to research treatment approaches that would manage Rosie's condition. They were very helpful in keeping us involved. Rosie's blood count was brought under control and a maintenance program was devise to prevent a re-occurence. Rosie is now fourteen years old and a happy, healthy senior citizen. Lockridge Animal Hospital saved Rosie's life, and gave us five more years with our canine family member. My husband and I wish we could find medical care for ourselves that is as competent, thorough and caring as that provided to Rosie by everyone at Lockridge Animal Hospital. Rosie always looks forward to her visits and knows exactly where the treats are hidden.
I recently moved to Manchester and have been using Lockridge animal hospital for my two dogs a beagle and a chihuahua both over the age of 11. The doctors have been wonderful I've had an emergency for one of my dogs and they took me right in. Both dogs had dental work and it was great. It's very hard to find a good veterinarian hospital that will take good care of your animals and lockridge animal hospital is one of the good ones. I don't trust my animals to anybody unless I feel comfortable with them and the staff at lockridge animal hospital is great caring and loving to my babies.
They have ALWAYS gone above and beyond for me and my dogs. They are a wonderful support system for whatever life has thrown at us. Thank you so much!
Love this place! Very caring! Sympathetic to ALL pet and owner needs.
Excellent job by the staff handling my new kitten with care, it's clear that they love animals and their work. Plenty of parking and thoughtful cat and dog separated waiting areas. I found my permanent vet! Picture is of my kitten Zephyr :)
EXCELLENT staff, great facility, convenient location! Lockridge does everything right! We are extremely pleased with the care they have provided to our pets and often refer to them to others.
WE have been bringing our pets to the Lockridge Animal Hospital for a very long time. All of the Veterinary Doctors led by Drs. McCammon and Richards care for our pets with compassion and thorough care. We Trust and appreciate the care given to our beloved pets.
I bring my cat to lock ridge animal hospital and I am always pleased with how he is treated. I also have to buy my cats prescription food at this animal hospital and they have fair prices and always keep what I need in stock. Their vets are very compassionate from what I have seen and they saved my cat's life. As soon as I left my cat in their care, I felt a lot better because I could tell that the team at Lockridge really care about the animals. I highly recommend this animal hospital.
Turns out that our new puppy has a cellulitis infection with the temp of 104. They were able to get me right in. They were very knowledgeable kind and considerate of all things.
We have trusted Lockridge for over 13yrs. and have never been had a problem with the Drs. or Staff. They are courteous and caring and professional. We especially love Dr. Fisher who has been our primary Vet foe our dogs past and present. Keep up the good work THANK YOU
We've had nothing but good experiences with multiple cats being brought to Lockridge over the course of more than 15 years. We've seen different vets at various points and all of them (the techs and other staff as well) have been nothing short of compassionate, patient, understanding, and a pleasure to engage with. They take the time to understand our kitties personalities and work with us to determine how best to keep them happy and healthy. Their communication is clear and they always follow through to meet the expectations they've set with us. We've been through FIV, infections, cancer, CM, and ultimately euthanasia more than once, but their caring concern and respect for us as a family in those difficult times has made all the difference in the world and it's something we'll never forget.
I loving bringing my fur baby’s to Lockridge! Everyone here truly cares about the well being of your pets. They go above and beyond to make sure your fur baby is well and healthy! I never take my pets anywhere else
We brought our new kittens for their first exam and my husband and I are so pleased with the care they received! All the staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful, clean facility and we couldn’t be happier!
They are fantastical!
I cannot thank the staff at Lockridge Animal Hospital enough for their immediate outstanding compassionate critical care provided to my dog! I brought my dog there in a very emergent situation they had never seen my Lila before and everyone acted promptly and calmly to provide her with the upmost immediate care she needed. Dr. McCammon and his staff saved my dogs life and they allowed me to be with her ever step of the way. I will FOREVER be grateful!! Thank you all so much! Much love to you all! Love the Wilmot family
We switched from Banfield, so far we see a huge positive difference
From greeting to exam and check out, it’s all been great people providing great care to Dante. I highly recommend
Dr. Fisher is excellent. 5 stars and two thumbs up.
If you’re going anywhere but Lockridge you’re missing out on a place that cares for your animals more than anything! I’ve had nothing but great experiences here. I even received a phone call after bringing our new puppy there a few days later just to see how everything was going with her! Amazing people work here and it shows!
Very very GREAT!!! They have been our veterinary care for 15 years and we would never use any other veterinary care!! They have always treated our pets as well as ourselves so well and have been very comforting and caring.
Best vet. Owned dogs for 30 years n staff n vets really care
The staff and doctors are great! They helped diagnosis my dogs eye injury and was able to get me a referral appointment the next day. My Gizmo has been with them 13 years and Bella 11years. I truly appreciate there care and guidance.
The vet office was clean and the employees were very nice however we did have a long wait - roughly twenty five minutes past our appointment time - otherwise it was great and they all seem very competent!
Great staff!
Started bringing our cats here a few years ago. Nice facility with plenty of staff. Have dealt with several vets since that time. Most of which have been a pleasure to deal with and very sympathetic to our animals.
I brought my cat there just because he wasn't going in the box. He was healthy and happy. They took him out back and without asking me emerged with a $442.00 bill. The next day I went back to talk to the owner they explained everything they did was in order.....Well my cat was not sick or constipated or unhappy.....They defended their bill so I was wrong and they were right! Test show nothing wrong with my cat just a irritation in his bladder. 4 days later they do care though, I had a conversation with the owner, however he told me "you need to ask how much things cost" I was looking for advise and 1 test for a urinary track infection! I wanted to know what you are doing to my CAT! They forced liquid under his skin without asking! Just to water down his urine. They don't get it. Treat us like people and explain yourselves and give us choices and prices don't Railroad people. Unbelievable... really if this is the care you want then keep going there. I'm DONE!
Wonderful vet! Clean, beautifully decorated waiting area. Nice assistants. Very caring. Received a call back after 24 hours to check on my puppy. Very informative meeting, appointment. Very easy to talk with. Puppy is better all ready! ♥️♥️♥️
Our pups are new patients. The staff have been warm and friendly. The Doctor has called and talked to us several times about the care needs of our pets. The care and service we have gotten has been wonderful!
I have been going to Lockridge for years with both my dog and cat. I typically shy away from bringing them to the vet because Ive always hated the hassle of the high costs and unnecessary treatments, procedures, and/or blood-work they try and convince me needs to be done. However, when I feel that my animals need to go I will take them. I have a pit-bull. His name is Boston. He developed epistaxis (bloody nose) about a month or so ago that I hadn't become aware of until recently. Yesterday morning I woke up and his nose was bleeding uncontrollably. I know that dogs his breed are prone to nasal tumors. So I took him in. At this point he was sneezing blood everywhere with giant clots. The vet used epinephrine in his nose to try and constrict the vessels to stop the bleeding which was ineffective. Then she tried some powder that did not work either. I was trying to tell her that is wasn't working but she wouldn't listen, she just kept on putting it up his nose. She was using a long cotton swab which I had to ask her to stop because we had not yet ruled out the possibility of a foreign object being lodged in his nasal cavity. She then used a sedative which calmed him down but did not control the bleeding. I asked them to do an X-ray but said that they couldn't that day so they were going to send me home until they could schedule him in. I was infuriated. My dog has uncontrollable bleeding and they were going to send me home. I asked if there were someplace else that would do an X-ray. She took a minute then came back to tell me that she could fit him in but she would have to do all this blood work before they could put him under for an X-ray. Im well aware that he does not need to go under for an X-ray so I declined. She tried to tell me that no one would do it without all these procedures which she quoted me at $750.00. Then and there I decided that this was not the place for me. Here I am with a dog that is expelling blood everywhere from his nose and this woman couldn't be more disconnected. I got no support, she offered me no real options. Then charged me for an $85.00 "extended visit", I am guessing because I stayed there a whole hour, and $48.00 "outpatient services" fees which they explained were for the "extra services provided for like, administering the medication and stuff." The medication for which they had already charged me for. I cant convey enough how hurtful the experience was. I really felt that I was being robbed and no one cared about Boston's outcome. I got not diagnosis or prognosis, just sent home with a dog who may or may not be dying while uncontrollably bleeding everywhere. Today I am bringing him to CARING HANDS in Manchester, NH where he will be getting an X-ray without any unnecessary blood work or screenings and they have offered to let me pay it off over time. That is how a vet should be!
Nice, experienced and very expressive!
