Hampstead Animal Hospital is top notch. We recently started taking our pup there after feeling dismissed by another local vet. The care and professionalism by every member of the staff was exceptional. Our girl needed major surgery and they kept us informed every step of the way. They took amazing care of this dog who does have a bit of anxiety. I can't thank them enough for their kindness. Dr Storey is amazing! He clearly knows what he is talking about, and takes the time to explain things to you. The reception and office staff are lacking however. Lisa ( receptionist) is very rude and unprofessional. I have left in tears because of the way that she speaks to customers.

Today was a very sad day for us. We had to put our beloved Alfie to sleep. I just want to thank all of the staff at the Hampstead Animal Hospital for their compassion and understanding of such a difficult decision. I only wish I could remember the names of all that supported us during this time. The doctor was so comforting to us as were all the other members of the staff that got us through this. I recently took my cats in for an annual exam, rabies, and leukemia shots. I had to go back in 3 weeks for a booster shot for all 3. Simple process, took cats out of crate gave them shot and put them back in. They charged me an exam fee for all 3 cats on top of the shot cost. When I complained and said they had recent exams and that today there was no exam given the response was "that is our standard of care". Appeared to me an opportunity to upcharge. Not the 1st time having a challenge with the front desk. I won't be back.

After more than 2 weeks and $3,000 in testing they still were no closer to finding and answer to what's wrong with our dog. They seem to be more interested in charging us for more unnecessary diagnostics meanwhile our Dog is getting worse. I asked to speak to the doctor and noone could tell me with any certainty of their treatment would have any chance of improving our pets condition. Our Dog went in with a paw issue and all the medication they were giving him caused him to stop eating for up to 3 days at a time. They showed no empathy for this and after they couldn't figure it out said we should see a specialist for his liver. Given this issue and the fact that an acceptable amount of time and money has passed we opted for a second opinion as this seemed like armature hour. They didn't seem to care that it wasn't their money they were spending and figured they would just keep testing everything until they spend all the money they could. The second opinion vet couldn't believe how many tests were done and shocked at how many drugs were prescribed to our dog. He recommended to not give him almost all of their meds as some of them would have no benefit. Out of professional courtesy he couldn't come out and say it but basically implied that they had no idea what they were doing and making matters worse. 2 days later our dog is much improved. Hampstead Animal Hospital did nothing to help except waste our time and money and create more stress. You are charging professional top of the line charges and expected the care provided and treatment to be equal to what we were charged. in the end we spent 3k for nothing beneficial. 2nd opinion vet figured this out and fixed it for just another $700 money well spent. it's not enough to have a pet who is not doing well but they made matters worse. I only see 1 of 2 possibilities: 1. they didn't know what they were doing and therefore shouldn't be charging or providing services they are not qualified to comprehend or understand. 2. they were just looking to rip us off. I'm still trying to figure out what one they did and even what one was worse. At least we were smart enough to go somewhere else before it was too late.

Awesome care and wonderful hours! The staff keeps in touch in a variety of ways for wellness care so you don't forget and if your pet has an issue, they provide a treatment plan in which you can choose how you want to proceed and select which tests, etc. you want for your pet, with the vet letting you the risk/benefits.

Tremendous place with top of the line professionalism and empathy. I brought my 14-year-old cat in when she started having complications and she ultimately had to be put to sleep weeks later. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do and the whole staff was extremely caring and polite. They allowed me to spend as much time as I needed with her before her end of life. I would, and do, highly recommend them to everyone. Thank you so much for making a painful experience so comforting to me.

We've been bringing our animals to HAH for years now and have always found the service to be top notch. The front staff has always been warmly welcoming when we bring in our various animals and everyone at the facility (medical and front of house) always feels genuinely interested in your pets and their health. Combine this with their excellent medical service and you really can't do any better in the area.
