I have to say I was completely impressed with Great Bay Animal Hospital. They were kind and honest. They answered all my questions today and weren't out to charge me an arm and a leg for a bunch of unnecessary procedures considering my cat is in pretty poor health right now. They gave me meds for her and said I could ask for steriods if needed without another office visit fee. Told me my options for my elderly cat who has dental disease and possibly cancer. Very nice people. We are waiting to see if antibiotics help my poor girl before any other unnecessary tests/procedures for the time being.

Ever since we changed vets we are so happy we chose Great Bay. Our cat and dog have been going there for a few years now. We recently just had to put our cat down and they were wonderful. We had the option to be in the room or not, everything was explained to us. To get him cremated and his ashes returned to us is in the same ballpark of other services like it. Everything was simple and easy. We were even able to stay with him as long or short as we needed. Great Bay helped him be comfortable and no longer suffering. I can't thank them all enough for being so wonderful in such a time of sadness.

Just visited with our sick cat, Hazzie. Dealt with Dr. Poland and several staff. Very professional and caring. Dr. Poland did a wonderful job explaining what we were dealing with and the tests performed. Hazzie got an antibiotic shot and fluids, and then we went home to get better.

Took my cat in to be spayed; I was made to wait for a good 20min after I arrived before I even saw anyone, and felt that I was treated rather brusquely. The surgery went fine, and I picked up my cat, but once again felt brushed off by everyone. They did a good job on the spay, but I don't think I'd want to go back.

I cannot speak more highly of this clinic. My family has been taking our animals to them for years, but recently they outdid themselves. Our labradoodle Max had surgery at an emergency clinic and we knew he didn’t seem right afterwards. Great Bay went above and beyond to subdue all of our worries, even offering to have Max stay at the clinic during the day when no one could watch him at home. Dr. Adler and the rest of the staff clearly care deeply about their patients AND owners. They were able to give us all peace of mind — and that is completely priceless. Now Max is back to his goofball self and we could not be happier. Thank you so much Great Bay!

Doctor Deborah is the best! My cat was very sick and constipated. Deborah was very kind, gentle and knowledgeable. She explained everything in a way I was able to understand and helped my cat get well. Cat is all better now. So glad I choose Great Bay for my kitty.

The care my cat receives is top notch and some of the vet techs also pet sit for a very reasonable fee. Whenever I leave town, I have no worries that my cat is being well cared for, while staying in her familiar environment and I have the peace of mind knowing that she's being watched by a professional in case something should go wrong while I'm away.

I am as particular about my dog's doctor as I am about my own, and no one is better than Jim McKiernan and his staff at Great Bay Animal hospital. There are multiple vets that are closer to my home, but Jim is the best, so that's where I go! He may be having the most hectic day in the world, and you would never know it, because he treats you and your pet as if you were his only priority. Jim consistently goes above and beyond to not only treat your pet, but to be sure that you are comfortable and understand everything re: treatment plans. He called me about the status of my dog's illness and healing at 9pm once (at my request!) - because he genuinely cares. He is a veterinarian par excellence, an outstanding person, and he surrounds himself with staff that uphold the same values that he does.

Dr Bloom is fantastic with my rather behaviorally-challenged big dog, managing the dog's fears and making her feel at ease. She also gave me very practical and low-cost advice on how to manage one of my other dog's skin allergies. And the vet techs are the best...
