Our Great Dane has had some dietary and allergy issues, and thanks to the care he has received at Moutainview Animal Hospital and Holistic Pet Care, he is happy, healthy and allergy-free. So when I adopted my sweet 8 yr old chihuahua from the humane society I was so worried about having to put her through anymore than she’d already been through. I was sure I needed to find and get set up with a vet to be checked out but which one? I am so lucky my mom set up an appt with Dr K and Mountainview from the very first time I took Koko in they have been kind, understanding, patient, informative, and knowledgeable. Koko isn’t scared when it’s time to go see the vet and they try holistic and natural options first instead of medicine. I will never take Koko to another vet. As anyone who reads this can tell I’m a very protective pet mom, but I am so comfortable and trust all the staff so completely I’m going to be putting her in doggie day care at Mountain View. I would recommend them to anyone who has a furrbaby. Thank you so much Dr. Kalivoda and everyone at Mountian View Animal Hospital for taking care of my sweet girl like she was part of your family.

Love the folks at Mountainview Animal Hospital! We take our dogs for boarding frequently and it is awesome to know they are being well cared for and having fun in our absence!! Love this place. Dr. K is the best. She was so caring with our dog when he was diagnosed with cancer, helped us as much as possible and him. Took his care outside so he would not be stressed to be in the "office." and when his time came, she was so caring, she cried with us and made it as easy as possible if there is such a thing. Our new pup loves her and she held and cuddled him like no other vet has ever done. This is a #1 place in my books. Staff is also so caring and loving and helpful. This is probably the second review I've ever written. It's that important and well-deserved. My three cats and I have been working with Dr. Landon and Certified Vet Tech, Sarah L. over the last three months. I can't say enough about them and about this clinic. These people demonstrate a high level of professionalism and expertise; they are well-educated and trained. While I ask a lot of questions to understand, the fact is that I know I can relax because there is no doubt that they know what they're doing and they will treat my animals well. They are friendly and compassionate, not only to my animals (they are very concerned about their comfort), but to me. And in the process, they do everything they can to accommodate. When I have to leave my cats at the clinic, Dr. Landon takes the time to *personally* call me at the completion of the procedure to inform me of the outcome. I couldn't believe it the first time she called. I can remember only one occasion when a physician has called me in regard to my *own* health care. I am so grateful. Sarah L. demonstrates a rare ability to look ahead to avoid difficulties in everything from scheduling to using of unfamiliar medication dispensers at home. With all of the people and pets she is working with, she makes it a point to remember things and *follow through*, another rare trait. Sarah explains things clearly and patiently. Everything about her demonstrates capability, professionalism, experience, and compassion. I can only hope that she never leaves. It is a pleasure working with her am very grateful to her. The front office staff is remarkably friendly, the place is clean and runs on time, and even the setting is beautiful and peaceful. In 25 years of pet ownership, this is by far the best place that I have ever taken my animals; so much so that I would consider flying/driving them back to Mountain View Animal Hospital in the event that I ever have to move. Another Great Experience at Mountain View Animal Hospital. When I got my Malinois pup I interviewed a number of Vets in the Reno/Sparks area. I interviewed the Doctors themselves not Staff Members. At Mountain View I interviewed David Lowell DVM; without going into all the details except to say, I believe in as natural an approach to Dog Care as possible. The Contrast between Dr. Lowell and the others, which were highly recommended by personal friends of mine, is Vast in my way of thinking. My dog had a string of bad luck growing up, seriously cutting his feet three different times. I began my relationship with Mountain View with and because of Dr. Lowell. When my dog's first injury came requiring sutures, Dr. Lowell turned me over to Dr. Sarah Kalivoda. She always very caringly and skillfully Healed my dog. I guess Dr. Lowell doesn't do much surgery or suturing. Well, Dr. Kalivoda came through again this past Wednesday with flying colors in Every Way! I love that woman because she loves my dog. It is also necessary to Strongly & Positively characterize the Staff at Mountain View, they are First Rate in Every Regard! It also needs to be said that the Setting/Location is quaint and country-like with grass and shade trees, no traffic. I could not be more Happy or Feel Better about Mountain View, Dr. Kalivoda and Dr. Lowell. I Feel Very Fortunate.

My dog is very, very anxious at vet appointments. His last vet did not show concern or patience with his anxiety, so I decided to try Mountainview Animal Hospital. The staff is wonderful with my dog and try to make it a comfortable experience every time. They are awesome! We couldn’t afford the normal cost of anesthesia so our vet was nice and gave us a discount and everyone is super friendly there. The only negative things I would say is it’s far from our house and I wish it was closer and they aren’t very good at picking up their phone. But I still love them.

Recently our rescue girl "Crumpet" developed a lump on the side of her face. Soon we were dealing with an abscess which needed to be lanced to drain and heal. That's the short of it. The entire staff was very communicative every step of the way. They worked with my awkward schedule so that I could drop Crumpet off and were very upfront (and accurate) projecting anticipated cost. They made Crumpet as comfortable as possible while she was in their care and I received several calls from staff after the procedure to check up on our girl. I was very delighted that Dr. Kris took the time to personally call me from start to finish with updates and feedback.

Dr. Kingery is amazing my cat had run away and been gone for 4 days Dr. Kingery was on the freeway when she saw him she thought that he was gone but saw him flick his ear turned around got back on the freeway and got him took him to Mountainview Animal Hospital where she is a veterinarian called The Humane Society because she found his mocrochip but I had failed to register the chip so between the both of them they were able to find me on Facebook and called me and told me she found him. She nursed him back to health and didn't charge me any bording fees only fees that she had to which was very nominal. Excellent staff excellent care and what a God scent Dr. Kingery is i am forever grateful for her and everyone involved in saving Titten's life. Thank you all so much ❤

The staff and Dr.s at Mountainview are like no others I’ve yet to experience. They saved my boy (min pin) the love of my life, for us to enjoy for another two years after he was diagnosed with “Renal Failure”. Dr. K. Let us know when it was time to say goodbye to the most precious creature we have ever loved. They guided us through the process with absolute compassion and professionalism. For that we will always be grateful. Since then I have literally referred every dog owner I enter into a discussion about veterinary care to. These people genuinely love and care for each and every person and pet that comes through their door. We just enjoyed they’re Christmas party where they took professional photos of all their clients individually along with they’re pets. Often holistic methods are overlooked and hope is given up for our beloved pets, don’t let that happen before a visit to Dr. Lowell’s holistic center. If he can’t help your pet he will be honest with you and not bilk you for your more revenue and give you false hope. I believe in all these doctors ability to heal and appreciate all that Drs.’ Lowell, K. and Dahlgren have done for us and all my referrals. I get nothing but thank you s’ from everyone who visits their office. I just wish they could have purchased the large lot just north of their lovely ranch style location on Bonde Lane rather than the homes they just built there 2” apart from eachother! If you are new to pet ownership or just haven’t found the right veterinary care yet please give this team a try, you won’t be sorry you did! God bless all of you at Mountainview!

I am so grateful to have found a holistic vet here in Reno. I am truly blown away by Dr. K and her practice. She has great communication, she does everything out in the open right in front of you (never taking your pet to a noisy back room and hidding to do a procedure) and you can see her love and compassion for her work while she is with your pet. I also love that her clinic is actually a old house. This makes the environment so comfortable and less stressful with the rugs, tables, windows and other decor my furbabies feel right at home. At other vets you are stuffed into tiny rooms and it feels like a assembly line as the vets try to see 10 patients at once and don't give you the time of day. The difference between Dr. K's holistic practice and other vets intown is night and day. Other vets intown seem to only be interested in pushing meds and surgery. Dr. K wants to actually do the epidemiology and figure out what truly is going on. Thank you Dr. K for being amazing!!! It is a blessing to have found you!! -Lauren Tillett

My 10 yo fur baby had 2 major issues over the past 7 years that led us to visit to a vet. First due to being crypt-orchid and now for necessary tooth extractions. Both times brought us to Mt. View and I have never left disappointed, confused or upset. I even compared their quote with others and found it in the ballpark, if not cheaper. They took great care of us both. They were caring and understood both me and my boy were stressed and helped calm our nerves. They explained everything and didn't push anything unnecessary. I was skeptical about taking my dog for "Holistic" treatment. Would it be painful? Would it hurt? Would I have to mortgage my house to pay for it? They were friendly and calm (which my dog appreciated). The Vet said it might take a couple of visits to see any results. But the minute she started working on my dog, he began to relax. I saw the stiffness in his back ease and his tail came out from underneath of him. Then came the acupuncture...no problem. He didn't even feel most of the needles. A couple were placed in tender areas-necessary to ease pain- and he twitched. After the treatment I could tell my dog was already feeling better. I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced the treatment was and am definitely coming back!

One morning I took our 11 yr old pug out to go potty one morning, as usual, and when I set her on the grass her back legs gave out from underneath her. I was devastated. Fearing that the end would soon be near, my husband and I started talking about quality of life and all those sad thoughts you have when one of your babies approaches their last days. I was not convinced that she was done living her life and began talking to people at work about what was going on. A co worker told me about acupuncture and the results she had seen with her dog. Mountainview was able to get us in that same day. I carried my little girl into their office and was greeted with loads of care and compassion. They talked me through everything and, to my astonishment, my dog WALKED out of there on her own! These guys are truly amazing...
