Hands down the most incompetent vet practice I've ever seen. I don't know who's worse, the office staff or the vets. Office staff is slow, lazy and rude. Taking my 3 pets to a better vet now but Cheyenne West manages to screw up sending over the medical records leaving me sitting with my pets at the new vet for hours waiting for the records to transfer. This has happened 3 times since January. Don't even get me started about how the incompetence killed my dog in January. The vet couldn't even get on the ground to examine the dog properly. Time to retire when your back issue prevents you from doing your job correctly. These are animals lives, not widgets.

The vet staff at Cheyenne West Animal Hospital is absolutely amazing. However, the admin staff much less so. I had my dogs boarded there for a few days. They notified us of fecal tests on the dogs but the language they used did not specify that it was a requirement in order for the dogs to be boarded there. So without our authorization they ran the fecal tests on our dogs and billed an additional $70.00. Thats too bad they did this to us; we've been to them with our animals for over 10 years.

We have been going to Cheyenne West for 12 years now. The last 11 years at this current location. We always see Dr. Lopez when possible and she is the best in our opinion! I honestly do not trust my 3 dogs to anyone else. That being said, we have gone to see other vets in the practice when Dr Lopez is on vacation or something and our girls needed shots and everyone in the practice is awesome and friendly, but for the big important stuff, like surgeries, Dr. Lopez all the way.

First and foremost, all of the vets love animals and care about your concerns. Also, they are surgical doctors. I have friends I've referred here because their experiences with other vets are mostly referral vets. Meaning, they will diagnose your pet but refer you to a specialty center for care. Each doctor has their own specialty which means all of your needs can be taken care of in house with the exception of extremely advanced internal gastrointestinal care. The entire staff, from the moment you walk in to the service you receive, cares about you and your furry friend. This review isn't based on a one time visit or several years. I've been taking all of my pets, at various stages in their lives, to Dr. Hewitt and his fellow doctors since they opened their doors. If you are new to town or looking for another vet, definitely visit Cheyenne West Animal Hospital.

This is THE BEST veterinarian hospital in Las Vegas! They have been taking care of my pets for 12-15 years and I trust them, without hesitation. They have treated, cared for, and, saved (some of) the lives of my 10 cats and 5 dogs. They are patient, caring, knowledgeable, and are always "there" when you need them. I LOVE the doctors, techs and office staff; they have treated me and every one of my beloved pets with compassion, wisdom and love. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a veterinarian hospital they can trust and count on.

I brought my dog to this place for about 10 years. Since the first day I brought my precious dog he received the best of care. I was always very pleased with the doctor's along with their caring staff. My precious dog went to Rainbow Heaven now. If anyone should ever ask me were is the best place to take my dog my answer would be without a doubt, Cheyenne West Animal Hospital.

This place is amazing, they care about your animals, and they don't take your wallet and shove it down a drain. Our 9 year old boss has been cleared of his ear infections, and acts like a young pup again. Definitely recommend this animal hospital.

Great place the doctor is great he keeps you up to day on your pet and helps you understand what is ailing your pet. The staff is nice but often forgets small information. Other than that the visit and communication between you and the doctor are the best thing ever.

I brought my dog here for blood work. They took the little guy in the back while I waited in the lobby. When they returned the dog to me he was wrapped in his blanket and had poop all over. Apparently he had pooped himself in the back and they didn’t even bother cleaning him off before handing back to me. Very rude staff!

Love Dr. Mauer! He is the best most attentive orthopedic surgeon in Vegas. Not only did he follow up with me everyday my dog was recovering from her surgery, but he took the time to explain everything to me to help me understand better what the procedure was and how he was going to conduct it. Not to mention his prices are phenomenal! You can really tell he loves all his patients and for that I will always recommend him and switch to him as my #1 vet.

They do very safe surgery and you know they will always wake up with a smile .
