GO SOMEWHERE ELSE THEY ARE POORLY TRAINED After having my pet serviced at this clinic it is sad day when the staff here is so untrained that they send me a letter stating that I can no longer come back due to me being upset with the poor service. This is troubled me and that is why I have to make this post. I have seen the same doctor for almost 10 years. I have paid for every test they requested and every point I travel over 45mins to this vet. At at this point my pet needed help and they told me I would have to pay more money for a different doctor because they have not seen my pet. I said there was no reason I have a normal doctor that take care of my pet. but due to a letter I was send I very sad to say that is the easy way out and not fixing the staffing needs there. I would hope you think twice about every going to this vet.

I thought the staff were very nice. However, as noted by a few other people, they are more expensive than others in the area. I called one local vet and their Kennel Cough vaccine was $22.00. Bellevue Animal Hospital wanted to charge me $65.00 which included a $4.50 waste disposal fee. Do your research and shop around.

They took care of my last pup during his last days following diagnosis of severe cancer, and helped him remain comfortable until he passed away, asleep in his bed. Truly compassionate people, and now caring for my new service dog. I won't take any of my critters anywhere else. Oh, they supply a Keurig coffee brewer in the lobby, for those of us who can't speak without a caffeine injection.

My parents have been clients with their dogs since Dr. Boyd owned the clinic. My mom was in a tight spot with my Dad having surgery and their Bichon having diarrhea for several days. My Dad cannot drive and my mom won't if there are any weather issues. I suggested she call as she was waiting at the hospital and ask that a VERY common prescription for dogs to be called in to Walgreens. After 3 hours of no return phone call, she called before they closed. They claimed they never got the mesage. They refused to call it in unless they saw the dog. They were also a bit snippy with her. I told her to find another veterinarian!

GET A SECOND OPINION!!!! The Bellevue front desk staff were very nice and personable. The nurse we had was very standoffish and rude. She clearly had a greater than thou attitude and apparently doesn’t like pinch collars even if they are used properly. I have a Great Dane mix who can be aggressive towards other dogs; we use a pinch collar only when we know we will be around other dogs or where our dog will be possibly excited. She seemed very judgmental. Apparently, Scooby didn’t like her either, he raised his teeth and tried to bite her. He’s never done that to anyone. I know he was in pain but he didn’t have the same reaction to others. The doctor was knowledgeable but in my opinion gave very bias advice in regard to treatment and did not provide us with all of our options. We took Scooby in for a medical emergency because we suspected he had GDV (bloated/twisted stomach). The doctor confirmed with X-rays that he did have GDV and we could either EUTHANIZE him or take him to VCA Midwest Emergency Hospital. She called and confirmed it would cost $5000-$7000 for the procedure. I asked her about payment options and although she did suggest the Care Credit Card which was beneficial she acted as though our only option for treatment was EUTHANIZE or VCA Emergency Medical. My co-workers have had a terrible experiences at VCA and told me prior that they are horribly overpriced. I asked the doctor, if Urgent Pet Care could be an option, based on my co-workers saying they’ve had great experiences and paid a fraction of the costs for their pet emergencies. The doctor consoled my wife but acted as though Urgent Pet Care was not an option or could provide him what he needed. We left debating on what to do for his care, I had my kids say their goodbyes just in case things didn’t work out with the procedure. We were prepared to pay the $5000-$7000 but I frantically made calls to my co-workers who are avid dog lovers and my wife called a client who is a vet and they all suggested Urgent Pet Care would be a great place to go despite what we were told. We decided to go to Urgent Pet Care. The staff there was extremely friendly, Scooby loved the staff as well. Scooby received his life saving surgery and is expected to fully recover. They provided an invoice of $2734!!! I am livid about not being given all the options at Bellevue Animal Hospital. It’s truly a shame. What if we would’ve been unable to pay for his procedure and been forced to prematurely kill our beloved Scooby? Tonight was very eye opening, we will be getting pet insurance for future emergencies. Needless to say we are completely done with Bellevue Animal Hospital.

I take my fur babies here for their regular check ups and when they get sick. They are very friendly and love seeing the babies. They answer any questions you may have - which is more than I can say for a lot of human doctors! I definitely recommend them!

The staff and Dr. Truax are the best people around. They genuinely care for you and your pets! They are the only animal clinic that I have been to, where they understood and respected the special bond we have with our "fur-kids." They give you all the options available and start with the least expensive route instead of the expensive tests and procedures the other clinics immediately jumped to. The receptionist made our appointments when it was convenient for us. I won't go anyplace else now!!

Bellevue Animal Hospital has provided loving care for our beloved Champ since we got him 12 years ago. They have always been respectful, professional and very caring to our dog and us. On Saturday, we had to say good bye to our sweet Champ. Dr. Grant and the staff were wonderful and comforting and made this difficult day bearable. It was a very tough decision for us to euthanize our sick little guy. Dr. Grant was always just a phone call away to patiently address all my questions and concerns with her calm and caring demenor. I appreciate her and Bellevue Animal Hospital for all they have done. Just today, we went in to pick out an Urne and despite a very busy office, were given the time and attention by a sweet care specialist (I regret not getting her name) to make our choice. She was patient and offered kind and comforting words. Our hearts are broken right now, but we are comforted by knowing that our little boy was treated and handled with the utmost of care. I have been taking my pup since the beginning. Both times my dog got shots there it looked as if it was the first time the Dr's ever gave shots... Brutal.. Half the shots ended up on the exam table because she put the Needle, through the other side of the skin.. Two "Dr's" , two bad results... On top of that, look for hidden charges on your receipt of you still decide to go there. my suggestion.... Go somewhere else.. Headed home now to check receipts from prior visits..

Bellevue Animal Hospital is a very competent group of vets; however, they seem to be expensive and impersonal in the way they treat their patients and their owners. I would probably use them if I felt that some unusual skill was needed for my dogs surgery or procedure, but I would not use them as my dogs regular vet.

We moved from Maryland, where our vets (also AAHA accredited) gave amazing care to our cats and dogs, including helping us make the hard decision to put down our dogs when the time came. Understandably, I was skeptical that we would luck out again with vets. I am so happy I was wrong. Dr. Moultry has been compassionate, honest, and extremely competent in diagnosing and treating our sweet old Scrappy cat with kidney failure. I feel like it is a true partnership with his treatment and don't feel judged when I express concerns about cost of tests etc.... I cannot recommend Bellevue Animal Hospital enough. They provide excellent care for pets (and their humans), at competitive costs.

All of my fur babies have been treated here. Our primary vet that we see is Dr Truax. He is awesome. Always so wonderful with my kitties. Very gentle and compassionate. He's so good at explaining things with us. We recently had our cat, Riley, pass away. They let us bring him in and helped us make arrangements for a keepsake memorial. They were all so wonderful and allowed us to take as long as we wanted for our goodbyes. I highly recommend them for pet parents. During your pet's life here and when they cross over the rainbow bridge.

I've had the luxury of traveling the entire United States for more than 25 years and have had both the displeasure as well as pleasure of knowing a few vets. It's a rare occurrence when you fine a doctor for your pet that understands the impact that pet has to your family. While everyone at Bellevue Animal Hospital is awesome, there are two specific vets that had a "huge and positive" impact to my family and our furry family members. I lived a horrific travesty with the illness of one of my pets, and both Dr. Truax and Dr. Grant were there with us all the way till the end. I can't express how much I respect these two people and how much I trust the lives of my pets in their care. If you or a family member becomes ill, do you take your family member to the corner clinic? Or do you want your family to see a doctor who will do whatever it takes to make them get better? If you're looking for somebody who is as concerned about your pet as much as you are, Dr.'s Traux and Grant. Trust the best!

My dog had an emergency and it was an icy day, so I didn't want to drive to Millard where my vet is to have him checked. Bellevue Animal Hospital got us right in. Checked him all out gave him some meds and we were on our way. It was a bit more expensive than my vet would have been, but it was an emergency and it took awhile, but all in all it was good.

Reception staff was polite and kind. The vet was very knowledgeable and skilled in handling of my blue macaw. The price for the nail and beak trimming was extremely affordable and I will definitely be going back for each subsequent trimmings. The small price to pay is very preferable to having my hands and arms eviscerated trying to do it myself.

It's very hard to take your animal to the doctor. For one you're sad that your dog is sick. Another, your fear for your animal causes distress. The vets I had were newer to the clinic. They were nice to my dog, and that matters. My dog had been bitten by a tick. She could barely walk. The tick blood test, tested positive for Rocky mountain spotted fever. She was given antibiotics and she recovered!!!

I have been taking my cats to Bellevue Animal Hospital for 13 years and wouldn't take them anywhere else. I usually see Dr. Campbell but have also seen Dr. Bower and Dr. Truax. Everyone at the place seems to love animals and are very caring to me as well as my pets. As far as expense, I think they are very reasonable. I started coming here when I moved to Bellevue and they were 1/3 the price of the place I had been taking them. I can't believe the negative reviews! Whenever they need to run tests, they tell you right up front what they are going to cost and give you the chance to decide whether to go forward with the test or not. Maybe some people consider this being focused on the money but it's really to the pet owners advantage. You can decide how much to spend on your pets care. Dr. Campbell has called me as late as 8:30 p.m. to answer questions. This is after a full days work of surgeries and seeing pets. She's even sent cards of condolences when I've lost a pet. I haven't encountered that level of professionalism anywhere else.
