Dr. Voigt is one of the smartest ( not just book smart but out of the box smart), most compassionate people I know. She has cared for my rescue dog from the first day I brought him home. She was with me every step of the way when Kennel cough became pneumonia and I thought I had brought him home just to lose him. She has helped me through his anxiety and his chronic pancreatitis. I drive over 30 minutes to see her because it is absolutely worth it. Her staff is outstanding and caring. You feel they honestly care about you and your pet.

I showed up early to my appointment and I was taken early. Dr. Ottoson was fantastic. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Dr. Ottoson and his assistant were gentle with my chihuahua who is a jumbled set of nerves as she’s a rescue and wasn’t treated so kindly in the past. I feel she’s never reacted so well to any other vet I’ve taken her to. I feel 100% confident in saying that this man was not out for my money and didn’t try to tack on extra charges. He let me know the tests I was considering weren’t really needed. I felt he was very honest and straight to the point. He provided me with important information, things I should look out for, and simple tests I can perform to make sure my babies legs are okay. Ive found my place! Thank you for making me and Lulu comfortable as we could be.

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Voigt and the employees of Mountain View Animal Hospital!!! Our dog was very sick and on the verge of death as she had been misdiagnosed by our old vet. Looking for a new opinion we decided to bring our dog Roxy to Mountain View. Dr. Voigt was able to diagnose her right away and over the course of a week bring our dog back to good health. She knew exactly what to do, is professional and is very passionate about animals, so much that our dog even loves her too!! She is always available to answer any and all questions and would even call us on her days off just to check in and make sure our dog was doing okay! Truly grateful we brought our fur baby to see Dr. Voigt and the rest of the staff at Mountain View when we did, otherwise Roxy wouldn’t be here with us today!

There is no clock running during appointments...you spend as much time as you need to get your problems addressed or questions answered. The facility is clean and bright and appointments are scheduled so you don’t spend much time in the comfortable waiting room! So glad I decided to take my newly adopted cat here three years ago.

The entire staff at Mountainview is amazing! I have a pit bull that can be very aggressive towards strangers and came to me with a lot of medical problems. I went to several vets who couldn't treat him before we found Dr. Boggier and now I would never consider going anywhere else! I rarely allow anyone outside of my immediate family to touch Sam because of his nervous aggression, but I trust all of the staff here with him. Dr. Boggier will sit on the floor and feed him treats until he comes and sits with her, and he's very comfortable with her now. She is amazing and I recommend them to everyone I know!

We have been using Mountainview for almost ten years now. Although knowledgeable I feel over the years they are more focused on pushing expensive products and procedures than caring about your pet. Specifically Dr. Voigt was almost hostile when I declined a costly course of treatment on my 10 year old dog who is a little slower because she's simply getting older. Sadly after all these years we are contemplating switching to a new vet due to this unpleasant experience.

Dr. Boogier and her staff are the most caring, understanding veterinary hospital I have ever taken my animals..After many years in Denville, and quite a few visits to other hospitals, this is the first vet I have been to that actually sat and talked and explained things to my family and myself...Along with 2 other dogs we had at the time, this animal hospital went above and beyond what would have been expected when our dog Zoei developed diabetes approximately 5 years ago...When we finally had to put her down, Dr.Boogier stayed with us for as long as we needed, and got down on her hands and knees and said a prayer for Zoei..The most emotional, calming experience any animal lover could ever imagine at this time in their animal's life....I now live in Branchbrug NJ, and as we are getting a new puppy, I plan on driving the hour drive from here to have Mountainview Veterinary Hospital to help us with our new family member....I LOVE this place <3 Debby Norris

My dog is anxious and very difficult to handle. The techs and Dr. Boggier have infinite patience (and peanut butter) for dealing with her. They are unfailingly kind and knowledgeable. The vets are excellent diagnosticians. We have never had an issue with any of our several dogs and cats they couldn't figure out.

I made the mistake of bringing my pet to this building cleverly masked as a veterinary office and I won't ever make that mistake again. The staff is rude and spends so much time carrying on personally that they are completely perplexed by the simplest of tasks. They have made mistakes with medications for my pet, cannot accurately process payments and checkout in general usually takes longer than the actual visit itself. I was warned not to see Dr. Loften and told that she was not a very competent vet. I elected to see Dr, Bogier, but during my visit, was caught in the middle of rapid fire between her staff and a rightly disgruntled customer because of the way they treated him and his pet and their inefficiency and unprofessionalism. When you call, one of the girls talks so loud that you can hold the phone a foot away from your ear and hear her clearly. She also seems condescending by nature. I find something peculiar about the male assistant. He is always in a fog, the type of behavior exhibited from illegal drugs. I am not saying it is the case, but it is just my personal observation and if it's not from drugs, then I'm not sure what could be causing his Jeff Spicoli-like behavior. There is always mass confusion when you call there. The right hand never knows what the left hand is doing. Dr. Bogier fails to return emergent calls (or really any calls for that matter) and had a way of making me feel like her decisions are not in the best interest of the animals. You can read all of the warm and fuzzy great reviews, but not be clear if they were written by the staff, but I can assure you that this is a legitimate review, clearly not by anyone affiliated with the staff. I would like to give them zero stars, but since it is required to issue a rating, I suppose I will have to chose 1 star against my better judgment.

My dog was very sick and I thought we were going to have to put him down. I wasn't a current patient and needed to get in right away. They saw me that day. His kidneys were shutting down and his meds weren't absorbing properly. The amazing staff kept him there for about 5 days and he is like a brand new dog! They are always so nice and helpful. We had an older dog who needed shots and attention to his ears. It has been several years ago I recall the office was clean, bright, and the staff pleasant to listen to an older dog's problems. We got medicines that helped the ear problem and some joint issues. The place is easy to get to on the border of Rockaway and Denville. Would recommend it well for care of small animals.

Drove over an hour for my senior dog's dental care after reading the amazing reviews for MountainView. The staff couldn't have been more kind and caring about little nacho. The office staff and veterinarians called me throughout his procedure while he was under anesthesia so i could hear how he was doing and to get my go-ahead on the bloodwork, teeth removal, etc. Very open about their pricing and cost break-down which means a lot to me. When our dog, Sugar, had leukemia they were so helpful and kept us very informed during the whole process and even until the very end of Sugar’s life. Back in June I took my rescue kitten to be spayed I had a voucher from the state that would require a $20 payment. When I went to pick up Addy I was told that my bill was $400 and change. When I questioned the amount I was berated by a young staff member. I was made to sit and wait for 20 minutes while another staff member came in to resolve issue. The whole incident was poorly handled and even when it became apparent I was not at fault I was still treated like I was trying to get over. Really sad because Dr. Bogier is a great vet just don't think she's aware of the lack of professionalism in her staff

Dr. Boggier and her staff are extremely kind and caring professionals who take excellent care of our dog, Clover, and cat, Luna. Dr. B puts you right at ease, takes the time to explain various treatment options and their costs recognizing budgetary restrictions. Their charges are reasonable and fair and they don't charge for follow up visits for ongoing conditions/issues. And our dog LOVES going there! We feel very fortunate to have found this practice and Dr. Boggier.

Finding a good veterinarian is like meeting someone who understands you so well that s/he can finish your sentences for you. Dr. Boggier is such a veterinarian to me, and all of my animals under her care thank her for her compassion and professionalism. Dr. Loftin and Dr. Voigt are wonderful too, as is the staff Of MVH.

We have 5 cats and the staff is wonderful with them the doctors are fantastic very caring and loving with the animals my one cat had a urinary problem and the one vet we were going to told us we had to keep buying a certain food very expensive so we went to mountainview and dr Boggier put him on a pill and the crystals went away ans we never went back to the other vet . It was my first time at Mountainview Veterinary Hospital this week, and unfortunately, I am highly disappointed in the attitude and approach Dr. Voigt had towards me as well as towards my dog. To be fair, I do own a 100 pound German Shepherd, but, our old vet was able to complete thorough assessments with no issue as that vet customized the care and approach required to the individual dog. As soon as Dr. Voigt entered the exam room, she seemed uneasy around my dog who was sitting next to me quietly. She attempted to give him a treat, but did not make any attempt of getting to know the dog and did not even ask what his typical temperament is before saying that he might require a muzzle. Every suggestion that I gave to Dr. Voigt about how other vets have treated my dog in the past went unacknowledged. Before Dr. Voigt even touched or acknowledged my dog, I was asked if I administered a tranquilizer prior to the visit, and I was also told that I may want to consider doing so in the future. It seemed no matter what was suggested, Dr. Voigt was set on placing a muzzle on my dog who has not required a muzzle in the past. Not only did Dr. Voigt approach my dog from behind, but she did so quietly with no forewarning to the dog. When my dog let out a low growl, she immediately jumped back and requested a muzzle be placed on the dog. I understand veterinary safety, but as a vet, you should know the breed of dog that you're working with and the approach that the dog requires. Prior to making the appointment with Dr. Voigt, I asked the tech on the phone if this vet was experienced with German Shepherds as they can be difficult dogs to handle at the vet. The tech assured me that all of the vets were trained to work with all animals and that the vets made it a point to get to know the dog and owners at a first time visit. This was definitely a very uncomfortable, disappointing, and eye-opening visit. This vet did not know how to handle a large dog and did not even seem to realize that her attitude/apprehension was noticable to the dog, owners, and most likely the vet tech. I would not recommend that you bring your dog to Dr. Voigt.

First time here, accompanying my friend to put her elderly dog to sleep today. Staff showed compassion and sympathy, lit a candle in the lobby alerting other clients that someone's pet was being put down, and even had the exam table covered with a soft blanket for us. The vet showed so much empathy during our difficult time and hugged and kissed my friend's dog before administering the drugs and reassured us that he had experienced a peaceful passing. Thank you so much for your professionalism and compassion during my friend's time need and showing respect for her beloved companion as he passed on.
