Took very good care of my puppy dog, she was in pain and not doing well and they fixed her up and then followed up to make sure she was happy and healthy again. I would definitely recommend this place when in need.

Over the years, Dr. Hammerle has taken care of my pets and numerous animals I have rescued. All of the Vets at the clinic are top notch and extremely knowledgeable. Some times I tease that Dr. Hammerle has a magic wand because she always seems to know what is wrong and finds a fix right away. The Vet techs are amazing and highly skilled. Having trouble coming up with a name for your new furry kid? They come up with awesome names! Everyone here really truly cares about animals and will treat your baby as they treat their own. I can honestly say that I trust Dr. Hammerle and her staff more than I trust anyone else and will no never go anywhere else. It's a shame you can't find this level of care, compassion, and skill in human healthcare. In fact, I'd let her treat me and my kids if she could. The difference between The Pet Doctor and other places is that they care so much about animals that they take the time to do more continued education and have tons of certifications and were the first certified fear free clinic!

We love The Pet Doctors, they are all amazing people that work there. Super friendly, we have cats and they all enjoy (as much as anyone enjoys going to the doctor) being here. The Nurses, and Doctors are seem to really love their jobs and always offer sweet words and comfort to our little guys and gals when they are scared or nervous. I do and continue to recommend The Pet Doctors to all my friends that have pets, especially those that have cat babies. =^.^=

Dr. Marcy saved our dog's life. We noticed Dakota had blood in his urine and got him in right away. We thought it might be some type of bladder infection. The tests were negative and so they did an xray. It was a Saturday and Dr. Marcy was not there that day. In the xray they could see a possible tumor near his spleen. This was dangerous. If it erupted, it would kill him. The vet on duty wasn't sure he'd be able to survive a surgery because of his age and recommended we consider putting him down. We couldn't do it. We also didn't want to take him to a different vet. We scheduled surgery for him on Monday with Dr. Marcy. When she got in there she found he had close to a 6 pound tumor. Everyone was surprised by it's size. Dakota made it through the surgery. We definitely were concerned about him for the first few months after his surgery. He needed more rest and was not as active as usual. But, he has made an amazing comeback. 2 years after surgery, and at 14 years old, he still loves his walks, playing ball and laying on the back porch. We are SO GRATEFUL to Dr. Marcy and her entire team! (I might also add Dakota has extreme nervousness and anxiety at the vet to the point he gets very mean and aggressive. All of the staff have always handled this so well and treated him with great care and attention). We really can't express our thanks in words. Dakota has been part of our lives for so long and we're so glad he had an extra chance to live!

I have nothing but great things to say about everything about this place! We took our sweet baby boy in for an emergency visit this week. We had a terrible experience at the first vet we tried taking him to a few weeks ago for a different issue. Both myself, and my fur baby have a lot of anxiety about going to vets, but the staff at The Pet Doctor are absolutely AMAZING. Not only did they do everything possible to make our baby comfortable and make him feel loved (even after just meeting him for the first time! All the girls flirt with him

They’ve been there through emergencies (like our dog eating a whole container of gum, and me calling 10 minutes before closing) they’re always bright and cheerful and the prices are more reasonable than other vets we had been to in the area.

I was at The Pet Doctor today 12/23/2015. When I walked in, I heard a person with a very loud and belligerent voice - this person was in one of the examination rooms, being very rude to Dr. Hammerle. From what I understood, this person was complaining about their dog whose incision after some surgery was licked causing damage. Home care is up to the owner of the animal and not the vet. Instead of letting this happen, the owner should have intervened. I think this person was the one who wrote the hateful review about Dr. Hammerle. That being said, Dr. Hammerle most certainly is not rude, she is very kind, patient, understanding and always takes the time to discuss any issue and to answer any questions I have. I have been taking my cats and dogs to Dr. Marcy since July 2, 2005 and I am still so very grateful that I did. It is amazing that somebody would have the audacity to claim that Dr. Marcy always speaks down to you, is disrespectful, rude and hateful... I totally trust Dr. Marcy - she has saved the life of several of my pets. She even came to the animal emergency clinic at night when I had to take in my beloved cat Lily who was dying. Dr. Marcy made Lily's death much easier and saved me the agony of witnessing the emergency clinic doctor killing Lily by means of heart stick. When my cat Ben was at the animal emergency clinic with severe chemical burns, Dr. Marcy and her husband went to talk to the doctor at the emergency clinic at night because none of the doctors there saw any hope for my cat and wanted to euthanize him. Ben spent a long time in Dr. Marcy's care who spent a lot of time at home even, reading up on anything that could be done to help him and make him more comfortable. That brings me to the complaint that all Dr. Marcy cares about is the "money" NOT the quality of care of the PET. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at that absolutely ridiculous, false and hateful statement!!!! How absolutely untrue!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess I should feel sorry about somebody's hatefulness in posting such a lie.... Oh, and how could I forget about my pitbull Tigger - Dr. Marcy gave my beloved Tigger and me another year together and now I am sitting here crying, just as she did when Tigger died. And now I remember the letter she wrote to me the night before I took Cleo in to be euthanized....and the day when I called her at home at 6am when one of my cats had crawled into a heating vent opening and I was about going out of my mind. Dr. Marcy and her husband rearranged their morning schedule with their children and Dr. Marcy and her vet tech Jessie came to my house and got the cat out. These are just a few of the instances where Dr. Marcy and her wonderful and caring team went above and beyond the call of duty for my animals. I love and respect Dr. Marcy and I am so very grateful for everything she has done for my animals and me.

Their staff is always very helpful and has helped all 3 of my dogs with all types of random stuff like removal of teeth in my daschund, neutering my GSP, and curing my near death lethargic dog. They seem to have the answers to everything.

Had to find a vet nearby when could tell our little guy was feeling pain. The Pet Doctor was well rated and now I can see why. Our dog was hurting and also very anxious going to the vet but the doctor and all the staff were wonderful with him. I don't see a reason to go anywhere else.

I took my 12 year old dog there after adopting her for a wart on her leg. The vet I saw was nice and was supposed to be the one to see her for each visit. They are not cheap they do not give you options for things and are way to high for just a wart removal. I will not be taking my fur baby back there.

Marci is the rudest person I have ever encountered in a professional setting, she lacks total professional, and the personal accpect of running ANY business. She always speaks down to you, is disrespectful, rude and hateful... I would NEVER return to this place ever again nor entrust on of my pets I love so dearly to her care... Bottom line all she cares about is the "money" NOT the quality of care of the PET or her total disrespect for someone who has spent thousands of dollars here.... A bad experience is relayed ten times faster than a positive one!!!

Overall, I had a good experience at the Pet Doctor. I went in because my cat had an abscess on her paw. Dr. Hogan asked me a few questions about her paw, and she asked me if I had questions in general. I appreciated her taking the time to do this. Unfortunately, my cat is terrified of the vet, so she had to be anesthetized to be examined, but Dr. Hogan was friendly with my cat even when she was hissing and growling. My previous vet had seemed frightened or irritated by my cat. The only thing missing (that would've granted a 5/5 stars) is that I felt like an in-and-out patient. It was pretty businesslike, which isn't always a bad thing, but I would've like to have had a formal introduction with the doctor, which didn't happen. It was my first visit, so a short greeting would've been great. I didn't know who I was meeting with until I got the invoice and checked the doctor's name. But, there is always next time!

The Pet Doctor team is fantastic. We have been a part of the family since we moved to the Lake Saint Louis/O'Fallon MO area several years ago. They have literally saved our dog's life twice in the last 12 months. Everyone on the team is kind, friendly, supportive and just the tops! Drs. Hammerle and Hogan are wonderful with all the animals and they run a rescue operation along with being certified to care for wildlife. If you want excellent care for your pet (I swear they are therapists too) and great customer service - Pet Doctor O'Fallon is the place!

I just read online that you have decided to refuse declawing cats. THANK YOU! More people need to be educated on this topic! I recently had a co-worker refuse to come to my home because she learned neither of my cat's is declawed. Her reasoning was, "They might scratch me"! My response was, "You might step on their tail. Should we have your feet amputated"? Keep up the good work! If I lived in your area (I am in Indiana and drive across state lines to a wonderful vet) I would seek your services. Your refusal to declaw is a huge indication of your care! Thanks again, Fyllis Williams

My husband and I drive 40 minutes to them because they are so great and our fur baby is worth it for the excellent care pets receive. They get on the ground with your pet to help comfort them and the staff has always answered our questions. Dr. Hammerle is very through and is patient with us when/if we have questions.

Our dog had major skin irritation and had it going on for about two months with three vet visits, nothing was working. We went to the Pet Doctor after reading the website and reviews. They diagnosed him with low thyroid and maybe allergy and put him on the three medications. Three weeks later, with no help to the dog, sent off blood for allergy testing. My dog was suffering big time, so we went to another vet and within minutes diagnosed him with mites and showed us the mites under a microscope. After digging into the prescriptions recommended by the Pet Doctor, found out they were the same as we had been giving our dog for the two prior months (shame on me for not reviewing closer what the prior vet had used) and The Pet Doctor had the prior vets paper work and history. Paid the Pet Doctor over $600 for incorrect diagnosis and caused my dog to suffer for the extra weeks. Had my dog there all day, but never checked for mites and apparently never read the reports from our prior vet. The people were always nice, but maybe the vet is too busy to do thorough work at times?? We won't go back.

The staff at Pet Doctor words can not express how outstanding they ALL are. I have never experienced such a wonderful group of compassionate knowledgeable people. I live in the city and will continue to drive the 40 minutes to take my dogs there as they are the best vet techs and Veterinarians I have experienced. I have one Saint Bernard that needed double knee surgery. The care and attention he got was more than I could of done myself. They were genuinely happy to see him and treating him so well was from the heart. I was so impressed and I felt he was in the very best hands. I never once doubted anything they ever did nor said. I have 100% faith and trust in their skills and ability to care for animals. I also had a Saint Bernard that had become increasing aggressive and needed to be put to sleep. The hardest thing I have ever don was to put my 2 year old pet to sleep. They were so kind, compassionate and heartfelt in everything they did and said. They made a very difficult decision and experience peaceful and bearable. I felt like I was in the best hands possible as well. I will never forget their kindness they showed to me that day. I am so grateful for them all. Words can not express how much they all mean to me and my fur kids. Someone mentioned they are "pricey". The love, attention and knowledge they have is worth the cost and more. The cost was never an issue for me.

This place is amazing. We went in with our pup that was just crying in pain with every movement; we rushed in without an appointment and they immanently settled us into a room. Once Dr. Hammerle realized that there was nothing they could do for us here, she gave us an address and phone number to another Dr she trusted. She even called ahead to tell them we were coming and to be ready for us. On our to the front counter she told us just to get going and not to worry about paying (we were going to have a high enough bill as it was), and then kept in constant contact with the other clinic so to keep updates on my pups surgery. This Doctor and her staff are kind, understanding, and are now our primary Pet Doctor. Thank you Dr. Hammerle and Everyone who takes care of our babies!

Our 11-year old Golden Retriever went into the Pet Doctor for laser therapy, which was recommended to me for his arthritis. The doctor noticed him limping and said that she didn’t like the way he was walking. She took an xray and found bone cancer. They talked with us about our options and they were very compassionate and caring. He goes there every month for a treatment to help strengthen his bones, as we opted not to amputate or do chemo. He is still a very playful 11-year old and I couldn’t imagine him with an amputated leg. They show him so much love and he absolutely loves going there.
