My husband and I moved here from Kansas City eight years ago. We arrived here with two dogs. Now we have three dogs and two cats. All walk-in! Dr. Herrin is just the vet we were looking for. In close proximity, caring, caring and above all caring. He exceeds on all points. The office staff is exceptional. Prompt, efficient and caring! We would highly recommend all surrounding pets to begin a trek to Herrin Animal Hospital to receive great service. And caring service, of course!

Dr. Herrin and his staff are a pet owners' wish come true. You can be rest-assured that they will treat your pets like they are part of their family. They have seen us through some rough times with some of our older pets; and continue to care for our younger ones as well. They are kind, patient and compassionate, and they are very much appreciated!

The girls in the clinic were excellent!!! Wish I could say the same for the doctor. If you do not want to euthanize animals do not schedule them. If you choose to continue the practice please get some compassion. 14 years with our loved pet that we brought to you and you didn't even bother to read our paperwork to know that he was a male. Shame on you!

I can’t say enough about how great this place is! My pets don’t hate coming here. Everyone is so helpful and nice. The staff up front is so friendly and accommodating. You can see how good they all are with animals from start to finish. I had a bulldog that had congestive heart failure when she was just 2 years old. Not only did this staff do EVERYTHING they could to keep her comfortable and happy but they made sure to see her and work with me anytime I felt she needed it, which towards the end was all the time. They all seemed to bond with her as well and I could tell it hurt them to lose her too. Not only that but they provided me with emotional support which was not only needed but very much appreciated. She was like our baby and they understood that bond. After Dez passed we adopted a Pit Bull who ended up weighing far more than we expected. This big boy is all muscle too. When we were away for a weekend he was staying at my in laws house and ran off trying to find his way home. Long story short he ended up getting trampled on by several horses and a donkey. Luckily he didn’t have any internal trauma just a lot of bruising and a broken arm. It was the weekend and in the afternoon so we decided to take him to an urgent care facility where we were told that he would probably never use that leg again, the best option may be amputation. We decided to take him to his regular vet on Monday, Dr. Herrin. Not only did Dr. Herrin give our pup a cast and medication to keep him comfortable but since Axel was so heavy he studied how to make a stronger cast and FABRICATED one himself!!! Axel is now able to use his leg perfectly!!! He can walk, run and jump with the best of em! This office has gone above and beyond for our family more than once! We really can’t thank them enough!

We are new to Cassville and needed a quick treatment for our Chihuahua. We had not used any vets here yet, and took a chance that Dr. Herrin could take care of her. The treatment is something that takes less than 10 minutes and is usually performed by vet techs. Even groomers do it. We had her at the clinic at 8:00 am and no other clients were waiting. They had my husband fill out a bunch of paperwork and said they needed to get my dog’s records from her current vet. We’ve taken her to several vet clinics when we traveled to have this done, and that’s the 1st time we’ve heard that. Anyway, the ladies in the office were nice and explained that the doctor had surgery to perform, and we could bring her back at noon. The doctor was standing close by and saw my husband (a new client), but did not say a word to him. Later we got a call from the vet’s office saying the surgery was going to take longer and the records from the other vet weren’t in yet so we needed to reschedule for the following day. Well, what we needed done was not an emergency, but we weren’t impressed by the lack of interest from the vet so we decided to travel the hour needed to take her back to the vet that had been treating her. Granted, our two dogs are near death, and he probably wouldn’t have made much money off these two, but we’ll get others when these are gone. We’ve probably spent $20,000 or more on our pets through the years so some other vet will probably have a potentially profitable client.

Very nice staff, knowledgeable doc. The ramp to the waiting area is strange, and I wasn't thrilled when the doc said that a medicine I was giving my dog would never cause a chemical imbalance.
