I cannot say enough good things about this animal hospital. The staff are all so genuinely kind and caring, both over the phone and in person. Both the vets and techs obviously do what they can to make the animals feel comfortable in a typically uncomfortable situation. Everyone loves our little kitten and they do everything they can to give us the best options for her care. I don't feel like they are just trying to get our money, and with such amazing staff, I am pay the reasonable service fees. This animal hospital is easy to find, right off of the rotary on Woonasquatucket, and there is plenty of parking.

Stay Away from this place. They do a bunch of unnecessary tests to make money. I took my two dogs in for Heartworm medication and they ended up handing me a bill for $466. Totally ridiculous, they try to up sell all their services so they can get as much money out of you. I will NEVER go back there.

My chameleon I just got had babies two days later, the store I got her from suggested I call here for help. The lady was beyond rude and told me they couldn’t help me or give any advice whatsoever without seeing her. Nothing and this was all said in a very snotty tone of voice. My pets are my kids and I’d do anything for them and when someone helps I go out of my way to be a lifetime customer and being new to this area we’ve not chosen a vet yet but I will Not be going here.

The staff here were more rude and unfriendly in my experiences. They are over priced. You should read this. I am going to the BBB about my experience with them. The location was always dirty. Once one of the dogs had had a major loose BM right in the front walk way and I told them and they just walked around it. I told them I wasn’t going to let my dogs walk through it because they would then get it all over the floor and me. I waited with people behind me for 10 minutes before anyone cleaned it up. There was not an emergency happening. I had several bad experiences with the office staff, given mis-information, being priced incorrectly, a lack of communication and then them being rude and demanding when I didn't know what they didn't tell me. The couple of times I asked for clarification about something that was inconsistent I would get glared at or get a snippy response. One of the inconsistencies I experienced was that I was told if I wanted to talk to Dr. Daniel Wentz and ask him if he felt an appointment was necessary it was the same cost as an office visit. I was quoted $59.00 fee for that phone call. I had spoken to him on the phone 2 other times over a 2 year period (that’s certainly not over expectant) and had never been charged or told that there was a charge and when quoted this fee I was told it had always been this way, yet another inconsistency. At first I would just chalk up the behavior to people having a bad day, I was reluctant to change Vets. I finally reached my last straw and I wrote a letter to Dr. D. Wentz thinking maybe he wasn't aware of how some of the staff were interacting with clients. The letter was very professional, just the facts and straight to the point and even told him I wasn’t trying to get anyone in trouble just wanted to share some concerns I had. I asked him to clarify with me in which ever form of communication was best for him...email, regular mail, or phone if in fact there was a cost to talk to him. I never heard back from him. He never responded to my concerns not even an inquiry about anything. I had owned my own business for over 10 years now and I understand how to gain and keep clients. I also have a degree in Human Services and am efficient in communications. I understand how not to treat people. I went in 2 weeks later to get my dogs records and someone had printed on the records that I was a problem patient. How very unprofessional to never once open a line of communication to address concerns and then to try to sabotage my next experience. There seemed to be a lot of frustration going on behind the counter. I don't know if it comes from the top down or if it is just amongst the staff at the front desk but it was a very bad experience. The new vet office was appalled by the notation in the records. She told me she couldn't believe they would do that. I am now at florissant animal hospital. By comparison their office is clean, well organized and their staff is professional. The Vet is a second generation Vet and already thought my dogs seizures should have been medicated. He told me I could leave him a voice mail anytime I had a concern or question. (I am not a client who calls a lot maybe 1 time a year) I hope Ferguson cleans up its act I do like for small business to succeed.

Donahue is great. He was very compassionate and patient when we had to put our dog down because of cancer. The staff worked along side our dog's oncologist at Ocean State and stayed abreast of our dog's status. He sent a hand written sympathy card that was genuine and I believe showcases his passion and aptitude for the profession. I highly recommend.

Called and made an appointment here due to an unexpected death of one of my bearded dragons, in an attempt to figure out the cause. They were able to get us all in that same day. I took my other dragon in to make sure that he was healthy, and be sure that he wouldn't have a similar issue. The entire staff were friendly and kind. The vet was extremely knowledgeable about bearded dragons, and went over every detail in relation to their health and environment they live(d) in. He was able to assure me that my other dragon was healthy, and give a few ideas as to what could have caused the death of the other. I had called two other places before here because they were closer, but neither were able or willing to offer me any assistance. Despite being nearly a 30 minute drive from home, I will be returning to this location for all of my future veterinary needs!

My vet was on vacation and I needed some advice on my bearded dragon who was getting dehydrated during brumation, she wouldn't drink water. My normal vet clinic recommended I call Ferguson Animal Hospital. The woman who answered the phone was very rude and kept interrupting me. She wouldn't even let me ask my question. She stated that I would have to bring in my pet for him to even entertain my questions but he was "too busy to see any other animals" today. I'm definitely letting my vet know to never recommend this animal hospital again. They seem to only be out for putting money in their pockets.

As far as I'm concerned Ferguson's is only looking to make a quick buck. Don't treat your dog fairly decent all that concerned about is how fast I can get you back for another exam. So make sure you have plenty of insurance because you'll need it with them.

Never will come here again... made a appt for our dog 2 weeks in advance for them to cancel last minute. Our dog has severe anxiety issues. They also charge alot for office visits. The rescue group I work with have had issues here as well waiting over 2 hours for a appt that they had not once but 3 to 4 times... not coming back. Going out our way and going to Bogey Hills vet cheaper same day appts in and out and awesome customer service and they truly care about your animals w follow up calls to see how they are doing.

They are the most dishonest people in the business... my experiences with them went something like this: Typical checkup... they than hit you with another check list that they recommend they do right away... and than another... so the bill comes to $300 before they are done... that happened a couple of times with both my dog and cat before I chose another vet... they were very dishonest and I always heard them laughing in the other room... got someone again because they just love their pets!

My pets have been patients of Dr. Dan Wentz for 15 years. My experience began when he saved the life of a dog I rescued from the St. Louis County Animal Shelter. She had Parvo virus and would have died but for Dr. Wentz's care. He has also taken care of my rabbits and my beloved boxer, Hodges, who passed away a few years ago. I suppose I could wax eloquent about what a fantastic vet Dr. Wentz is but there is not room enough on this page for me to extol his virtues. What I will simply say is this, I trust Dr. Wentz. He is kind. He is knowledgeable. He has always been both fair and generous with his time. He cares deeply for his patients. I won't go anywhere else.

This place was recommended to us last year by a friend and I’m really glad it was. I’ve been there for minor checkups and some serious emergencies that ultimately required surgery on my pup. Through it all the staff was always great, and everything went smooth with my pups. I’ve been to other vets that when you receive the bills they are shocking, and loaded with seemingly random expensive charges, but not here. I never felt as though I wasn’t paying a fair price for exactly the service I was getting. What stood out to me also were the post surgical visit checkups which sometimes required some more hands on intensive work. These were all extremely reasonable costs, $30 usually if my memory serves correct. Which makes sense in my mind as the bulk of the cost came from the initial procedure, but I’ve been elsewhere where the follow ups were costing as much as ordinary vet visits.

I went there yesterday to have my dog's rear end glands expressed.....a 2 minute job. I had a 1:00 appointent, got there 15 minutes ahead of time......and at 1:15 I hadn't been seen. But the people who came in after me with a dog and a cat (no emergency) got in before me. I get a lot of respect there. I can tell that people aren't going there anymore and for good reason.
