I have been a fan of Eagle Animal Hospital since it was owned by Dr Noise and first met Dr Sparks when he was a kennel attendant when my brother was bringing his dogs here! I have used them since moving here in 1980 and am very impressed by every aspect of this entire clinic..they have helped me with so many issues with my 5 fur babies over the years and given emotional support when desperately needed. Our first time at Eagle. Followed our favorite Groomer here. A nice clean facility. Had shot records sent over. Even called to confirm receipt yet when we arrived they were nowhere to be found. A little irritating but they called my Vet for the records. Joy the Groomer did an excellent job on my two Shorkie girls! We'll go back!

They almost killed my dog. She went in for booster shots I was new to the area and we had her records transferred witch showed her last vet spacing out her shots. Shadie breed is known for getting allergic reactions to some of her shots. So her shots have to be spaced apart. They admitted to knowing this and gave her 6 booster shot all at once anyway. With in an hour we had to run her back she had swollen up like a balloon. I chewed them out and after I got her back I changed vets.

Horrible experience with our dog!! Staff was very unfriendly and unwelcoming! They did not properly care for our dog. He was very unhappy and we could tell he had been very isolated. He did not get any attention or love and in return destroyed his entire bed that he loved very much. The staff had it in a trash bag in pieces and tried to send it home with us. Also gave him a shot and charged me for it with no explanation. Very unpleasant experience and would not recommend them to anyone. We will be finding a new vet and boarding spot immediately.

My family has been a customer at Eagle Animal Hospital for 30 years. Unfortunately, in the last few years we have had multiple issues. My initial issue involved a tech who enjoyed gossiping about me to her coworkers who would then repeat that gossip to people I knew personally. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. My second issue was a day that my dog was suppose to be groomed, the groomer called in sick which is not an issue in itself. The issue became the fact that I was not notified on a day I had taken off work to bring my dog. The staff was horrible and disrespectful. They managed to call me when my dog was having surgery a few months before but claimed to not have my contact information, then admitted they had called my mother, whose dog had passed away the previous year at their business and they did not note that in her file. They also nicked my dog and caused her to bleed. They let me take her home and find out on my own. This last and final issue was by far the most concerning. I made an appointment to have my dog’s annual wellness visit and to update her vaccines. I attempted to bring my dog elsewhere to be groomed and discovered that they only partially vaccinated my dog or they vaccinated her and did not note that she was. I had to cancel the grooming appointment and bring my dog back to their office to be fully vaccinated. Absolutely ridiculous and horrible service by office and vet tech staff members. What is most sad is that I really enjoy all of the doctors, but I will NEVER come back.

Thank you Dr. Sparks and Eagle Animal Hospital staff for taking time on your very busy Friday to see my dog Jojo. There is nothing better than a care team one can trust, especially going into a weekend. Dr Sparks sat on the floor with my dog as he gave her an exam and honestly I didn't even know it was happening because he was so good at engaging in conversation with me to understand everything he could about what led up to my dogs issues. Dr. Sparks is a great listener and was even better at explaining what he believed was going on with my dogs in easy to understand terms. I appreciate that he did not jump to conclusions and set my expectations for next steps. We will definitely be returning for general care and for emergency visits too.

Are you kidding me with this place. The staff is friendly and engaging. The vet techs are just as nice and obviously very educated. And the Vets themselves are honest super professional and astoundingly quick to see you. And the facility, i didnt know there was still a vet office in the northland with that kind of emphasis on clealiness. Eagle animal is also the only vet in town that hasnt straight out refused to see, or treated my 165lb American bulldog/newfoundland like a monster. Seriously, a vet at blue pearl told me to get out after my little fella barked at me to get my attention in the room after he basically jumped the table to get away from him. There is no better a vet office in kansas city.

We have been going to Eagle Animal Hospital since we first moved to Kansas City in 2016 for our kitty. Next thing you know, we have a dog and not just any dog, an English Bulldog. Eagle's services, staff, and vets are VERY helpful and of course love the animals to pieces. We never have to tell them who we are as they know us by name and that's that. They are all so very personable, understanding, helpful, and of course professional. We love the services Eagle offers and are very pleased with the experiences that we have had. they are GREAT! absolutely fantastic! Took my dog there to have surgery because he had an obstruction, and they vets and staff are wonderful. They were thorough with explaining the procedure and diagnosis. The Vet was also very nice and allowed me to pay the first half of the surgical procedure the first day, and I paid the remaining half the next day. This showed me that he was not fully in it for the money and cares for my dog and for my family. Of course, the more I wanted to pay it all in full at one time. But I was able to pay the remaining 500 the next day. Seriously everyone- they are great. do not hesitate to go. I have only worked with dr. Scott Read - he took care of my dog for his surgery. again, just wonderful!

I took my dog bruiser in shortly after they opened with a ripped off toenail. The vet that tended to him sat on the floor and didn't force bruiser to do something he didn't want except to look at his foot. She gave me an estimate for cost and said she would keep it as close to the estimate as possible as long as the x-ray was good. Everything went well, bruiser has his meds and bandages and I spent a little less than what she estimated. I also board my cats here once or twice a year for about a week at a time and I am very happy with the cat boarding area, its peaceful and everyone gets a turn to be outside their cubby and play and stretch.

I have had experimental surgeries on a cat that saved his life and allowed him to have many more years of good life after being hit by a car and completely shattering his lower spine,hips and both back legs. It's funny, I learned about this place from my father who is 67 because he used to take his dogs here when he was a kid. This place has been opened so long. I have been going here since about 2003? 4? When I got my first cat. Back then it was the old style but the care was beyond amazing. They were there for him all the way up to his trip to the rainbow bridge. Then with my second cat they renovated the place, but they saved his life when his bladder was blocked. They were there for him with his ailments and asthma. He wasn't the nicest cat to them at all, but they still lovingly dealt with his cranky young ass. He didn't live to be even 5 years old, but they were there for him all the way till his trip to the rainbow bridge. I now have a beautiful ocicat rescue cat with pterodactyl thumbs. He's super patient and kind to them, so much more healthy too. When I do take him in they are happy to see him, one girl always makes my day bright as she squees over him and wants to see him or pet him or hold him. She is gaga over his thumbs. He kindly lets her do whatever she wants with him, along with the doctors, and is a happy boy. Unless I move, I would never go anywhere else than these guys. They are so up to date with everything and so compassionate, I couldn't imagine my pet's life and health under anyone else's care but them. <3 to them all.

All they are concerned about is money and a steady stream of "patients" in order to get it. They dismiss concerns, are not transparent about fees until you are ready to check out. Their comprehensive pet care gimmick is just that, a fantasy. We took our pet in and was sent home with pain meds and no real reason as to why he was ill. 4 days later he died, after taking him to another vet who properly diagnosed and listened to us. I would never take my pets here. Fancy doesn't equal quality.

Our dog has had difficult eye surgery here with fantastic results. We've used their boarding services and they were fabulous. Every experience is top notch. The vet staff is amazing, but I had a less than ideal interaction with the office manager. When I agreed to the surgery for our cat I was quoted 1600 dollars. When Dr. Read called to let me know how everything went we again discussed 1600 dollars. I came prepared with 1600 dollars...only to be presented a bill for 1760. I explained that I was only prepared to pay 1600 dollars and that I felt like Dr. Read had made that price clear and she said that their policy is "to be within 10% of the doctors estimate." I was told that if I did not pay the amount in full I could not have our cat, that I would be charged for keeping her, and that after five days she would be considered abandoned. I asked her to call the doctor. She explained that she would not because he was off for the day. Then she went back to consult someone else. Ultimately, I paid the 1600 dollars and left with our cat. While I do think that my cat received amazing care from the staff, the billing practice should be revisited. I was happy to pay what was agreed upon, but tacking on exactly 10% because that is your policy seems predatory. Especially when I discussed pricing before AND after the procedure with the doctor.

AMAZING DAYCARE. I have tried several daycare in this area and none of them compare to this one. The place is immaculate, the staff is friendly and caring, and MOST importantly my 2 very high energy pups come home EXHAUSTED. The staff, Skylar and Ashley even go of their way to send me updated video's of how they are doing. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Our dogs receive all their care here. Medical, grooming and boarding. They're wonderful. We're allowed to bring our dogs' own food and bedding, When they need their toenails clipped or vaccinations we just call that day and we bring them in. The only time an appointment is needed is for their yearly checkup. The vet sits down on the floor with them for their examinations so they don't get all nervous standing on the table. Currently a major remodeling is happening and we can't wait to see the new facilities. The new facility is completed and looks wonderful. The boarding area is great. Our older dog had a mast cell tumor on her tail last June and Dr. Read had to amputate her tail. His obvious concern and gentle care reassured us. Our dog has recovered fully and we are so grateful for the prompt attention she received.
