They are awsome here. Before bringing my cat here, I stopped by to talk with a vet before I brought him in. The vet was very friendly and took his time to talk to me about my cat. Brought my cat in and they were very good with him. I recommend taking your pets there.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful the Doctors and the staff are. Our dog has had surgery on two knees TPLO - the first one was at another place - the experience here was so much better and less expensive. They thought of every comfort for our dog. We now drive 45 minutes each way for all 3 of our dogs because they get amazing care here. They are friendly and helpful from start to finish! We love Dr. DeMarco but have seen some of the other Doctors as well and have been impressed with all of them!

I called to inquire about having my dog BATHED at BSAH. They wanted $34 for a bath! As if that wasn't overpriced enough, they also require my dog to be on heatworm preventive before she could come in.. Which, she's not, since IT'S WINTER! Heartworms are only spread by mosquitoes. Has anyone seen a mosquito out in the last 5 months? No, because they're FROZEN. When I told the person on the phone that I could provide the paperwork showing my dog just tested negative for hw not very long ago, I was informed that was not good enough, but instead, my dog would have to have a complete vet examination consisting of an office call charge, additional vaccinations, including a "flu" shot, that I've never even heard of, a hw test, and HW preventive, among, who knows what other overpriced, illegitimate, and unnecessary charges they would bill me for. (All in the name of good dog health, ) So, the already overpriced dog bath winds up being a HUNDREDS of DOLLARS, OVERPRICED BATH. With all these unnecessary precautions I now understand how they can afford their state of the art facility and huge staff. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES, BSAH. You know, as well as I do, that even if my dog did have heartworms, which I can prove she doesn't, IT IS NOT SPREADABLE from pet to pet and therefore, not a threat to any other dog. And that these absurd requirements are just another way to get more money.

I was very please with the knowledge of Dr Nye. My dog is having a ruff time and I had been doing to another vet. Dr. nye was very sweet and gentle with my dog. She was able to figure at some of the issues going on with him and when I go back in April, she will run more tests. Very nice clean and updated vets office. I enjoyed watching the dogs play in the playroom. I also got a tour of the boarding area and was very please of how clean it was. I like the lodging hours where you can pick up Sunday afternoon if need be.

I never cared much for the place, vets are mostly fresh out of collage, and they will not leave you alone when you tell them your not going to spad or neuter I did not spend 2000 on a dog to have him fix. I did not want to go here but I was forced by Petland where I got my dog something about a warranty kind of felt like I was buying a car. I took my dog in for some shots at the age of one the vet tells me he's got a infection gum and needs two baby teeth pulled I did not see my regular vet and I wanted a second opinion but instead of scheduling me appointment with my regular vet they were only we're willing to let me talk to here the day of the surgery. the problem I had was t was the infection any Orthodontics will not pull a tooth when you have an infection in your gums and they did not subscribe any kind of antibiotic and wait for the infection to come down they let me walk out of that place what a puppy who had an infected gum. I will find a local vet and get my second opinion and see what I can do

We LOVE Dr. Bradley and all our friends at Blue Springs Animal Hospital. They care about the individual needs of each of our pets. They do everything they can to make their visits comfortable and non-stressful. My cat Abby needed urgent attention. We haven’t been established with a vet since we moved. This morning, I called several animal hospitals in the area, and none of them could see her til late in the day. BSAH made an appointment for her to be seen right away. The staff was so nice. Their website is very up-to-date, so I could print off a “new patient” form to save time during check-in. It even included a coupon for a first visit. They have a separate waiting area for cats, to lessen the stress of the visit. Her tech (sadly I forgot her name) and Dr DeMarco were so good with Abby. He discussed options, instructions, possible treatments, and price of each route so I could make a decision based on our needs and financial capabilities before he performed any tests. I left there with supplies, instructions, Abby had her ears cleaned even, bloodwork, shot, visit...all for way less than I’ve ever spent at a vet’s visit. I had a great experience. Plus plenty of parking, and beautiful building!

I just got a new puppy in February and got a great referral to Dr. De Marco at the Blue Springs Animal Hospital & Pet Resort. I am so pleased with their service. My pet was neutered only 1 week ago and did great. The incision site looks great and always did. Lots of pain medication/anti-inflammatory went home. They explained everything in a manner I could understand and thoroughly. Simple written instructions went home. I was really impressed that I received a call right after surgery was done, giving me an update on my pet. I was so thrilled not to have to worry. It was well worth the price for good care, and service. It truly means a lot to me to know they really take pride in knowing our pets. They also called 5 days later too and asked how the pet was doing. Very happy with my choice in care for my pet. Thank you all for the great experience.

Wow! That was my first impression of Blue Springs Animal Hospital. The staff greeted us the minute we walked in the door with smiles and concern. They truly understand how very important our pets are to us. Dr. Rodier was so thorough with his exam and took the time to explain exactly what treatment was needed for our little Dewey. We will also be utilizing their boarding and playtime for Dewey in the future, as I had the opportunity to observe the playtime they offer for pets. You could tell that all of those dogs loved being there and they are constantly looked after and played with by the staff attendant in the room, who, by the way, has the perfect job and you could tell she really loved interacting with these pets. No matter what your need may be for your pet(s) I highly recommend you take them to the caring staff and doctors at Blue Springs Animal Hospital and Pet Resort.

We are always greeted quickly by the employee's at the front desk. Dr Rider has been taking care of our pomeranian "Sophie" for a couple of years now, and her previous doctor's were extremely helpful and thorough as well. We also have used the boarding services and are very comfortable and pleased with the care given while we are away. They keep us informed as to when certain shots are scheduled and we are happy that they keep our animal healthy!

My Lil guy Rocky, 13 year old Chihuahua, was throwing up and shaking really bad on NYE so I did what most pet owners do, freak out and rush them to the nearest 24 hospital. They kept him over night, drained some fluid in his stomach and said he needed surgery for a mass in his intestines. I was quoted $6500 on top of the $1400 overnight stay that I paid. I knew I wanted to get a 2nd opinion and I am new to area so I had to rely on online reviews. That’s when I found Blue Springs Animal Hospital. I called and the lady who answered the phone was so sweet and helpful even telling me to go to the website as they offer 2nd opinions for free. When I arrived I met Lexi who was Dr Peyton’s assistant. She was such a sweetheart and made Rocky feel more calm. Then I met Dr Peyton. I immediately felt comfortable and very confident that he truly had my Rocky’s best interest at heart. We decided to move forward with Rocky’s surgery and despite his 5 out of 6 heart murmur and history of seizures everything went very well. He even called to give me updates both days Rocky was there after his surgery. And it was less than half of what I was quoted at the the other place. There are no words to express how thankful I am for Dr Peyton. Rocky is still recovering and doing great so far. If you want honest and genuine people that really love animals to take care of your furry best friend I suggest you give Blue Springs Animal Hospital a try. You will be so happy you did. I sure am!

If you're looking for a veterinarian, Dr. Stuart Ryder at Blue Springs Animal Hospital and Pet Resort is truly amazing! He's very educated, thorough, and loving towards your pet. Even with Bella's complex heart condition, he took control of her care and did exceptional. We were told she'd probably only live until 2 years of age due to her heart condition but lasted a whole 9 years (Boxer) and sadly passed on Oct 25th. On top of their amazing care, this is what we recieved today in the mail. Extremely thankful for them and their love towards their patients/animals.

After finding one of my cats struggling to breathe and unresponsive on a Saturday afternoon, I frantically searched for a vet or animal hospital that was open. Thankfully this one was and I rushed him in. They met me in the parking lot and took him straight back. Unfortunately Chester didn't make it; I didn't know how long he had been in that condition (he was in a different part of the house and had been just fine prior to my finding him) and although they had 3 doctors working on him they just couldn't figure out what happened. They were so helpful and sympathetic, they gave me hugs and tissues, and let me hold him one last time. They provided a box for me to take him home for burial, along with paw prints as a keepsake. They even offered to drive me home because I was so upset!! Hands down the best place to bring your fur baby, whether they need emergency treatment or just a check up!

I have been taking our pets here for years, but recently I had to take my daughter’s dog, Harley, in for some serious surgery: she had to have her eyes removed. She had developed glaucoma that was painful; the pressure in her eyes should have been below 15. Each eye was measured at over 60. Harley was pawing at her eyes & they were watering. I had already researched the issue & pretty much knew what was going to be recommended. There really wasn’t any other good option. (She was already blind by this point as well.) Harley came through this difficult surgery with really good results. Dr Owens did Harley’s surgery, and she is a really competent, caring, & empathetic veterinarian. We love her. Harley is still walking around blind, but she’s doing it now without pain & is thriving. I’m constantly amazed at how resilient this little dog is, even without her vision. I can’t recommend BSAH & Dr Owens enough!

Dr. Peyton provides the best care possible for our large pup. I can tell that our pooch’s health is his top priority. We have received both emergent and preventative care that has exceeded our expectations. When our furchild was severely ill, Dr. Peyton sat down on the floor with us to examine her and address our concerns, and explained the diagnosis and the potential outcomes. He checked in with us regularly about her progress while in their care and when she was well enough to come home, he was present for her departure. He had a glimmer in his eye as though it made his day that she was well again. Our questions are always answered in a way we can understand. He is always conscious of the cost, and gives us a very thorough analysis of the cost vs. benefit of any treatment. We have never received a surprise charge or been blindsided by a cost. It’s always explained in advance. Additionally, his techs are always welcoming and patient, in person and by phone. They always call to check in on her after her ill visits, and if she needs additional medication, it is ready within an hour or so. I feel like we are in very capable hands from the desk to the doctor.

Our local veterinarian in Jefferson City diagnosed our seven-month old Goldendoodle, Olivia, with osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) and advised us to consult an orthopedic surgeon. We searched the internet and discovered that Blue Springs Animal Hospital and Dr. Rodier have extensive experience and expertise with OCD issues. We took advantage of their generous free second opinion offer and received an excellent examination and evaluation for orthopedic treatment we do not have access to in Jefferson City. Dr. Rodier advised us to pursue conservative treatment of restricted activity and medication prior to considering surgery. He took his time examining Olivia, reviewing her ex-rays with us, and explaining our surgical options, if necessary. We are pleased and confident with the treatment and diagnosis Olivia received.

Over the years, I have taken two cats to Blue Springs Animal Hospital and Pet Resort-first my childhood cat saw Dr. Carey who has now retired but I remembered his care and take my current pet there. Dr. Bradley is wonderful with my cat and you can tell she is a cat person. I am sure she is probably a dog person too but I like that I can tell she has a special fondness for the kitties and she has one of her own. I also find the front desk team and assistants very personable and friendly. On my recent visit, I had a nice chat with the receptionist about an active cat enjoying kitty city and you could tell she enjoys her job. It is a caring, friendly and clean environment. I have used the pet boarding in kitty city before and enjoyed getting my pet's grade card. She likes laying in the sun at kitty city.

We have an 8 week old Pug that we brought in for his first visit. We were greeted by everyone that was at the front counter! Everyone that greeted us was very friendly and took an interest in our Pug! We only waited a few minutes before Dr. Cook's assistant brought us back to the room! She went over all of the records we had and went over our options for their Puppy Program and the benefits of it. She asked us if we had any questions for Dr. Cook, which we did, being new Pug parents and wrote down all of our questions/concerns. Dr. Cook was amazing! She was so nice and seemed to genuinely care how we as "parents" were doing with him! She took the time to go over all of my questions and gave us advice on potty training and crate training and gave me a realistic time frame of when to expect certain Puppy goals. We were also encouraged to call if ever we had any questions or concerns. She even asked if it was ok to show him off to the staff in the back and if she could take a picture of him for their website, which we didn't mind at all! I am so happy that we chose Blue Springs Animal Hospital & Pet Resort and will gladly refer them to any of our Pet Parents!!!

First off I never leave reviews but I really like this place. My dog was diagnosed with lymphoma and after looking for places to take him I settled on blue springs because of the good reviews. When I first walked in they got me checked in right away. After sitting down several staff members came out and gave my dog lots of love while I was waiting. I love the doggy day care center the staff seems to really enjoy playing with and watching the dogs. They have sent me cards in the mail and call me a few days after every chemo treatment to see how he is doing and if I have any questions or concerns. I will be coming here for 19 weeks of chemo and even though it’s a 8 hr round trip drive for me it is so worth it. Doctor Ryder is great he explains all the cost and the reasons why to me. He is also extremely knowledgeable in his field. Even though chemo may only give me another year maybe 2 if I’m lucky he has had no side effects at all and he is playing just as hard as ever. I’d highly recommend blue springs animal hospital especially for something major. They have a lot of cute girls working there and bringing their dogs in also lol!! So that’s a plus:) btw I thought I should mention my dog actually enjoys coming here even though he gets stuck with a needle every time. He loves the staff and gets super excited when he sees his vet and the other staff because they are so nice to him!

They're all so sweet giving my puppy treats and hugs and kisses. The vet comes in does all the normal things but then she goes over what my puppy is doing at this age what I need to be doing with him and all of that, that you normally just have to figure out. Every visit they go above and beyond! They also have daycare and boarding. I haven't tried either but I will in the near future. Day care sounds like a fun time for all the dogs.

The staff here was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. I was able to get in and out of here in a timely manner without feeling as if they didn't do a thorough check-up on my new puppy. However, my dog went in fine for a simple check-up and the whole next day was throwing up. Don't know if it came from here or was something else from the place we got her.

This is by far the absolute best vet clinic I have ever been too! I go to Laura Cool and she is the most sweet vet I have ever met. She is very reasonable with pricing! She is super detailed. If you cannot afford a certain lab she can fix it a little to where it’s easier on you. I actually came here for a consult on my dogs teeth being told at my previous vet that my dog needed 5 teeth removed and I had Dr. Cool look at them and he only had 2 teeth removed! He recovered very quick. He has not had a seizure since his infected tooth was removed. She was very correct about saying this might have been causing the seizures. I highly recommend this clinic!

My husband found the Blue Springs Animal Hospital online and the reviews were awesome. We decided to give them a try because we needed a new vet. The staff was all very nice and knowledgeable. They listened to my concerns and answered my questions when my dog needed surgery. I felt much better when I dropped her off for the procedure. They even called me after her surgery was completed to let me know how things went and how she was doing. The price of her surgery and the medicine she needed afterwards was very reasonable. We will definitely be using this vet in the future and highly recommend them.

They scanned for a chip and even though the dog did not have a chip they searched to see if they could find her in their records. They also contacted animal control and left a message for them and instructed me on how to better care for the dog. Also, they gave me a free leash to put on her. Tremendous people. This place is amazing! About 6 months ago I made the decision to switch vets as I wasn’t happy with the care my pup was receiving at her old place at all. I did LOTS of research before deciding on Blue Springs Animal Hospital and I can’t even get close to describing how amazing they are! We saw Dr. Cook and she was so sweet. My pup is shy at first and Dr. Cook spent a good 5-10 minutes just letting her warm up to her before she started examining her. She was very in depth and caught some things I had suspected the old vet was missing. She answered all of my questions (and I had a lot) and made it easy to understand! She was super upfront with the cost of everything and even provided a few free samples of some things! We came back a month later for dental cleaning and I was just as pleased! The front desk staff is equally as fantastic. They’re knowledgeable and helpful, and always very nice! If you’re on the fence, Blue Springs Animal Hospital is definitely a great choice!

I would never go here but they have a deal with pet land. Then they try to suck more money out of you. Animal hospital is huge and I guess to pay for that they raise their prices on veterinary care. They're one of the most expensive animal hospitals in the area with no bedside manner for your dog or cat from vet. Don't know about the boarding. I would recommend pet sitters than boarding your dog than some pets Suite, it still stresses them out.

This animal clinic is the absolute best of the best. Every single person in there truly cares about you, your pet and your concerns. I work in the medical field and know the stresses, worries and unknowns of treating patients. At Blue Springs Animal Hospital you are always treated as though you are the only patient they have. They take the time to answer questions and give honest, genuine suggestions. And my dogs RUN TO THE EXAM ROOM!! They can’t wait to get through the door! At my previous vet, that was not the case. The doctors call you with updates/results and the technicians and receptionists are so knowledgeable! If they don’t know the answer, they don’t hesitate to have the doctor call you back. They have state of the art equipment but not at outlandish prices. I spent 15 months, several thousand dollars and had to leave my dog for days at the former vet trying to figure out what to do for my her. One visit at BSAH and she was home with me on one temporary pill, and has been better than ever since. They’re sensitive to the costs associated with caring for a sick pet and talk very openly about pricing and options. I hope my own patients feel the same way about me as I do about the care given at Blue Springs Animal Hospital.

I’m not sure where to begin. I will never take another one of my dogs to any other vet ever in my life if I can help it. These people here are family in my heart now. My dog Shenzi went through 2 full and one partial chemo treatment here. I drove 400 miles 7.5hrs every week for a reason because they are the best. He finally lost his battle the other week. I’m pretty sure everyone working there cried and it meant the world to me that they cared that much. The fact that they cared that much was amazing. I wasn’t in the room when they said their goodbyes but I imagine a waiting line from every staff member lined up to give him love before he was brought into me. If I didn’t have them there with me I couldn’t of handled it. Oddly enough there was nothing that Shenzi loved more than going to chemo when I would pack up in the morning it was bark city because he was so excited. I love going to Blue Springs Animal Hospital and Pet Resort! We go there for our dogs care as well as sending her to daycare occasionally. Everyone from the medical side and pet resort side have been nothing but extremely friendly. Sometimes if my dog is a little agitated while waiting the ladies at reception will come and bring her a treat to make her feel a little more comfortable. Our dog has had a few times where she needed to get last minute appointments in. Each time they were able to get us in the same day. We usually are not able to see our regular doctor on those appointments but every doctor is very friendly and treats our dog like they have known her forever. Even if we moved away from Blue Springs we would drive out of our way to bring our dog here.

2.0 star rating 7/12/2019 I have been bringing my pet here for over a year and have been grateful for the service. However, my 14 month old puppy got a fever, I took her to the nearest ER for pets on Sunday, June 29, and they gave her fluids and antibiotics and requested I take my puppy to her doctor. I took her the very next day Monday, July 1. DR. MH checked her fever which was higher than the day before. This prompt her to take various test. DR. MH took ultrasound of the pelvic, lungs, checked her urine and blood work to see where this infection was coming from. All of those test checked out to be okay. DR. MH said on Monday that this "may be a fever of unknown origin" and sent me home with fever reducer, pain meds, and antibiotics. She failed to check her heart. On Friday of the same week, my 14 month old puppy died of Endocarditis. The infection was in the heart valve and DR. MH ruled it out without checking. If the heart was checked on Monday, It was a very good chance this could have been caught before Friday . My puppy died on Friday July 5,2019. A Heartless act left me Heartbroken. If you use this facility, make sure they are knowledgeable!

My boxer had a run in with a raccoon. Poor thing got her face scratched pretty badly. Her nose was really messed up. I was referred to Blue Springs Animal Hospital. I was able to get right in and was very impressed with their customer service. The vet and everyone in the office seemed to really care about my boxer during the initial examination. They treated her gently and made me feel better that she was going to be ok. I received a phone call a couple days later checking on her. I also received a nice thank you card in the mail. Glad to say that her nose is slowly healing and look forward to our follow up visit.

Originally I used Grain Valley Animal hospital for my pit bull Zeus last year to get this shots and dewormed. Went back to get allergies and a ear infection taken care of. They always acted scared of him (he’s not aggressive) and was not very informational on the medicine they prescribed and they’ve had some bad stuff happen their recently. Well Zeus had a ear infection come back again and grain valley is closed on weekends so I called blue springs at 10:30 and they got me schedule for appointment at 12:30 today, we got there an they diagnosed it as a yeast infection in his left year, we were in and out in 30 minutes top. Staff did not act scared of my 64lb big baby even though he does get nervous lol. Great staff here! Price was about exactly the same as Grain Valley. They’re all expensive but you pay for what you get!

Well I have had Dallas since he was 8 weeks old and he has always gone to Blue Springs Animal Clinic. From the time you walk in all you see is smiling faces and a warm greeting. Dallas is just over 8 years old now and I would never take him anywhere else and I live about 48 miles away from the clinic. When I walk into the door all I hear is," Hi Dallas" and it always make me feel really good! He's a Long Hair Belgium Germany Shepherd, Black and Redness tint, my Service Dog and Best Friend. My wife and I take a lot of trips during the year and I always feel confidence take he is receiving the Best Care and Treatment available. He has two hours daily for play time, one hour in the morning time and one hour in the afternoon not including being taken outside for a walk. If the Veterinarians feel that they need to contact me about anything they will contact me no matter where I maybe. The facility is always clean and never has a smell. They even give Dallas a Report Card which I think is really unique and cute. It tell us all his new friends names he made, games they played like King of the Hill, tug of wars and so on. If it wasn't for Blue Springs Animal Clinic my wife and I would never travel to some of the places we have been. I could not and would not leave him anywhere I did not believe he was not given the same Love, Care and Attention that he receive from us.

Unfortunately, I had to visit a pet hospital while I was in the Kansas City area for a football game. I brought my dogs with me into town and my friends and I were introducing our dogs. As you'd guess, it didn't go as planned and my pup took a pretty nasty bite at the base of her ear. My friends immediately loaded her and myself into their truck and took us straight to Blue Springs Animal Hospital & Pet Resort. We called ahead of time to verify they'd have the availability to sew my dog's new ear piercing up and upon arrival they knew who we were and why we were there. Everyone, including the patients and their owners were so friendly! Once we were taken back into the room, the veterinarian that helped us was so kind and extremely relaxing for a nervous pet that just got into a little squabble not even an hour earlier. She was up front with costs, discounts, and exactly what she was going to do for my dog. She made the process so smooth and easy to handle (which was so nice because last time I was at a pet hospital I cried hysterically in fear of what was going on with my stitches-prone dog and never received an update until she was done hours later and with hundreds of dollars more in charges). To say the least, I was in complete surprise to not have gotten a call about extra charges, complications and to just have such a pleasant visit for such a stressful situation. Blue Springs Animal Hospital is BY FAR the best experience my pet and I have ever experienced in the 10 years she's been alive. Thank you all for what you do! She only needed a few stitches but she's my lifeline and you took care of her like she was your own! Now if only I could have a pet hospital like yours here in the STL area!

I had a bad experience with another vet giving my dog MRSA, One thing I loved about the animal hospital is they are SUPER clean and conscious about spreading any viruses. They are willing to let you go in the back and see what their work area. I would highly recommend this vet.
