We love this vet! Our friend initially recommended them to us, and we've brought both our dog and cat in several times now. Dr. Smith is calm and listens carefully to all our concerns, and several times has managed to save us money when he didn't think a procedure was necessary that another vet might've pushed. When we've called for unscheduled visits they always get us in right away. Not to mention the fact that he's very gentle with our pets, and is conscientious about causing them the least amount of stress possible.

My husband and I, along with our 3 dogs, fled to starkville from naples, fl during hurricane irma. Our bulldog got one of the worst ear infections he's ever had during the trip. Dr. smith saw us the very next day and he took care and time to examine charley and sent us home with plenty of medications for the ear infection and for all his reoccurring health issues, cause bulldogs are prone to everything. He was extremely knowledgeable and practical. He also said we could call anytime for advice about charley and I believe him. His staff was also amazing and efficient. Thanks again!

Shout out to Smith Animal Hospital! They've been my vet since I first got Grizzly and I've loved them ever since. When Grizzly was a puppy and I first started bringing him I saw an American Flag collar that I thought would look AMAZING on him but it wasn't his size. About a year later, today, I randomly got a call as I was leaving work and it with SAH. They ordered more collars and ordered an American Flag one and wanted to know if I wanted them to save it for me. What?!? I went that very second and got it. Just thought it was so awesome that they would do that and that they even remembered! Grizzly a seersucker one and Hondo got the American flag one. They look so adorable

Hands down the BEST VET I've been too. Everyone was so kind and the service was GREAT! They sincerely care about your animal. I took my cat in for an abscess issue on her arm and they gave her exactly what she needed, and they handled her very well. The whole visit was perfectly affordable. They even sent me a sweet postcard in the mail and I put it up on my refrigerator. :) Such a considerate, honest, affordable place that DOES the job. I won't go anywhere else! If you're looking for a trustworthy Vet, look no further. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

I was very nervous about being a first time puppy owner, but after reading all of the reviews raving on about how great Dr. Smith and his team are, I had no question who to go to! We were seen earlier than our appointment time and they made shots seem like a breeze! I’m so glad I’m apart of the Smith family, and we look forward to our next visit! Also- I still cannot get over how good the entire clinic smelled!! If I would’ve been blindfolded, I would’ve never known I was in a vet’s office!!

We have broughten our two pups here twice. Both times, they forgot to bathe our dogs even though we asked at least twice both occasions. They also charge a high rate considering bathing, nail clipping, etc. is not included. They also lost our dogs chart the second time as well. I would not reccomend. Plus we found an empty syringe bottle on the ground while walking our dogs before putting them in the car.

They are great. I called this past Friday to set up an appointment. It was scheduled for Saturday at 11:40 a.m. I was fifteen minutes late, but they still allowed me to come in even though it was time for them to close. Not only did they stay over closing time, they even offered to help me get inside, because I had my two daughters and my pet. The treated my Fang great while we were there. They even gave my pet some treats to help calm him down. They informed me of the threats of heart worms and treatments if my pet were to get them, and also preventative measures to ensure that he is protected from heart worms. They were all very kind and polite. They even offered to help me get to my vehicle after the visit, because like I said, I had my kids with me. I think this will be my new permanent vet. You should definitely bring your pet at least once and find out for yourself how great they are.

As a college student from a couple of hours away, I was very worried about finding the right vet for my Labrador Retriever here in Starkville. So glad a friend recommended Smith Animal Hospital! Dr. Smith is great about explaining what exactly is going on with your pet and everyone working there is very nice. This will definitely be our go-to animal hospital during my school years!
