Outstanding doctors and service. I’m going to attempt to leave a breakdown of stars. My original rating was a 3 star before follow up visits and here is why. 5 Stars does out to the following: Check in Staff, Doctors, Surgical Team, Students, - 5 Stars - from day one Emily was nice with my dog and Jacob followed up with me everyday at least twice daily with updates on my pups progress and even after I picked up my pup he has continued to check in and follow up with me. I was kept in the loop on everything. They were very knowledgeable with how to treat my dog after his unfortunate accident, they repaired his broken leg in two places, worked diligently day and night in icu to get this oxygen levels to 99% from a low 88% and just really this place was unbelievable for my pup as he (my dog) probably wouldn’t be alive today without them It’s a 5 star place for pups. So why would I only give a 3 Star... Well... Billing - 1 Star - Okay on Day 1, I was given a low and high quote. I did not like being told that on Day 1 I would have to pay 75% of the high quote up-front as a deposit then I overheard another staff member telling another customer that they would only have to pay a 60% deposit of the low quote. Not to mention it’s really unbelievably hard to come up with money on a Saturday afternoon or Sunday unless your rich. That was a bit upsetting to me. Secondly my quote did increase with a new low and high after a hospital stay. FYI they should just do away with the low and say high 1 high 2. It’s not going to be anywhere remotely near the low end. I even went by at one point to pay additional money after the quote increased and the billing lady was still worrying me about deposit money when I had already paid well over the amount. The doctors I found out later were told to stall on treatment of my dog until the deposit had been paid in full and even after it had been paid the (communication between billing and the medical teams was beyond terrible). Due to there poor communication it ended up costing me an extra 2k. In addition, I had an appointment to pick up my pup and they (mostly the billing) wanted to nickel and dime me to death... not to mention sending me home with an empty tube of cream to doctor an entire leg with. They said they would try to find more credits for me I just left and said just apply them to the parking ticket that I probably got while I had to wait for 45 minutes on them to figure out what’s next. I have a follow up appointment but I’m so dreading having to deal with their billing that I’m tempted to cancel and seek treatment elsewhere. Revising my feedback from a 3 to a 4 Star. My reasoning for this is even after I had picked my dog up Jacob continued to follow up with me on the progress / recovery of my dog. He went helped with the treating an infection in his paw 2 weeks after his release and also went along was with why I have chosen to revise my feedback to an overall 4 star. Everything has been excellent. The billing has now improved to a 2 Star.
Excellent experience from start to finish. The staff clearly care about what they do and are considerate to provide you the best customer service possible. Most importantly, the medical staff take a scientific and logical approach to treating your animal. Their knowledge and expertise really shows and is very much appreciated.
Fantastic staff and excellent care
Some of the most caring and kind people I have ever dealt with when it comes to our pets.
Caring and talented care.
Took my dog there and after we got him back he started peeing in the house, on himself and pooping in the house. I thought it might have been the meds, but he continued to do this weeks after. Weird how he was fine before he went there. He seemed extremely nervous when I picked him up, worse than anywhere else I have taken him before. Never going back and wouldn't recommended anyone to take their dog there.
Go dogs
Saved my baby's life! I'm forever greatful
Best Vet service I have ever seen and was hands down the least expensive place in the southeast. I received multiple phone calls and pictures the entire time my pup was there to keep me up to date on progress.
Awesome people.
Great service, caring and professional services above and beyond what you can get anywhere. I can not say enough about the care given to my pet. I have been numerous times and it is consistently cutting edge.
Our yorkie injured his neck somehow and had paralysis in his legs and couldn't walk or stand. They immediately took him in. They explained all the treatments they will be doing. So far things are going well and they are keeping us informed.
Amazing staff!!! They take care of your fur babies as if they were their own. Just dropped off my dog for surgery.... 100% recommended
I took my pig here at about 10 pm one night. They were courteous and talked with me on the phone about the safest was to transport him with his injury. They kept him overnight and gave him antibiotics. The total for everything including his follow up appointment was only about $200. I was beyond amazed with the way the vets handled the whole situation. They were great and I will always com back to them. I especially love that they are open 24/7
Pros: the vets are knowledgeable and do quality work. Cons: communication is poor; they knew we were coming, but did not have a place prepared for our horse; we were told we would receive an email with information/paperwork, but it was never received; we were not told about the deposit required, especially not that it was 75% of high estimate. Overall, if I could give two separate ratings, it would be 5* for the medical services, but 1* for everything else!
Drove here from Finger TN because no vet service as needed was available. Old English Bulldog tore acl and needed surgery. Best in treatment and service.
All I can say was comforting. One of our dogs had bloody diarrhea and we had no idea what to do. They had him back to health overnight. Highly impressed with every part of the situation. Hail State - Go Dawgs - God Bless
Awesome vets at animal health center they really care for your pets

Went for the open house event and had a great time!
Fantastic, knowledgeable staff and top-notch, professional service!
Wonderful Veterinary College!!!! Thank you for all of your help!!! Dr. David Smith, his faculty, and Students came out to our farm, looked over our set up and help come up with a plan and let us see that there was a light at the end of the long tunnel of BVDV. I can not say enough about this wonderful school and the compassion that they showed us during this hard time. Thank you once again Dr Smith and students for all that you helped us with. Anyone having a problem with something in your hard. Give them a call. They dont mind helping you at all!!!!
Great place well organized
The baseball field is amazing.
Very organized, friendly and caring. Top notch Doctors and staff to include students. If U don't like this clinic U might need to see someone.
Ty staff for being especially awesome with our bby BANDIT
I have taken my baby (dog) there many times -- whenever he needs a specialist. These are the most talented, caring, compassionate people anywhere! They literally saved my dog's life this last time. There are so many eyes on your dog at MSU CVM! If anything goes wrong, they are on it in a split second. The staff have been direct, honest, forthright, and caring. I live in Memphis, but it wouldn't matter if I lived in Honolulu! MSU CVM is the absolute BEST in caring for their patients -- and patients' families! On a scale of 1-10, MSU CVM is a 50! These folks are AWESOME!!!
If you can deal with the pharmacy not having what you need, this place is great.
Great place with lots of knowledge and lovers of pets! Expensive though.
Too great care of our Berry suck car. The interns and medical students were cert kind and caring.
Phenomenal experience. Personal care with the best neurological team I have ever had care for my pet. Run, do not walk, if you need these services.
Our cat of 12 years Peanut was very sick. Our Vet, Dr. Angela Diffey, referred us to the MSU Referral and Emergency Clinic in Flowood. Although our precious baby could not be saved because of advanced cancer, the staff there was the most compassionate group of people we could have ever had to help our cat and console us. Mississippi State fans everywhere should be very proud of our wonderful veterinary school and support them as much as we possibly can. I highly recommend the clinic where we went. Dr. Austin (sp?) was so compassionate and explained all our options in detail. In the end we did what we had to do. I just wanted to thank them all. We should all be proud of all our colleges at Mississippi State. Thank all of you who took the time to read this. I hope no one ever has to use this place, but if you do you will be treated with some of the nicest and caring Mississippi State employees and students you could ever find. Thank you MSU, Bill & Susan Hinman #HailState #GoDawgs
If your pet needs critical care then don't snipe about the price. Compare it to your own ER visit and put it in perspective. While I don't use it for routine checkups I do recommend it for emergencies hands down. It's a Vet College - it's what they do!
The Equine Dept is the best!
I wish I could give them 10 stars. I also wish I could remember the name of the lady that helped us. I went for a heartbreaking reason. I went knowing it was time to euthanize my 2.5 year old lukimia cat after he took a turn for the worse one morning before vets opened. It was hard, but the lady was so nice and explained exactly what was going to happen. I chose to not only be with him but to hold him through it all. After, she let me hold him as long as I needed. She then took him and again gave me as much time as I needed. I wanted to bring him home for burial. She brought him out in a casket that they had hand painted and personalize with his name. She again gave me time. When I was ready, she walked him and us out to our car. The room we stayed in during all of this was very private with comfortable furniture. We were not once rushed. The lady was very understanding, even calling the cat my baby, which I appreciated because I knew she realized how special he was to me, and showed how much she cared about what I was going through. Today I received in the mail a plaque with his name and paw print along with a condolences card. I am moved by their compassion and am glad I took him there, despite the increased cost. The only complaint is over the phone they gave me one price, but it ended up being twice that much, apparently they didn't add in the actual medicine they use, only the flat fee for the euthanasia itself. Which it's the medicine that causes the cat to go to sleep, so when I asked how much it would be to put my cat to sleep, I just figured they calculated it all in. So be sure to ask for total price. Though I would pay it again to have such a personal, caring experience. The staff, personalized casket, paw print I can keep forever, and card made it worth every penny.
Beautefull campus!
Did a great job taking care of my poodle, Lexie...their cardiology department is one of the best I've ever seen. Doctors there are amazing. You will pay more for their expertise but it's well worth it.
It's definitely 5 star service! Comes with a 7 star price! With out insurance you better have deep pockets. Can't say enough about the facilities and staff! All top notch! Your pets/animals are definitely in good hands.
Kind, caring people doing what they LOVE, caring for animals.

We went there for the animal hospital. Great staff and they make sure to what they can for your furbaby. Great place!!
The best experience I have had, being a student of vet. medicine it was a great experience for me, visiting the largest vet. school under one roof in U.S.
Great staff
The team of doctors, nurses, students and basically all of the staff from the front desk to checkout were very polite, personal, caring, heartwarming, generous, loving souls. They helped my husband and I cope through a very ruff time during the passing of our sweet, dear Kody. I am beyond humble we were brought to this hospital even if it was a 3 hour drive. I couldn't ask for a better experience. Thank you to all. You all have a special place in my heart ♡
I certainly can not say enough good things about the MSU Neuro Team. Dr Shores & the Neuro Team is simply amazing. He took the time to answer all of our questions, before and after the surgery. He sincerely cared for our baby Phoenix like she was his own. The Neurologist where we live gave us absolutely zero hope for her. 2 days later she is back home healing. Unbelievable!! Simply the best!!!
Terrible if you aren't rich and have an emergency
Best care in the tri state area
