The young lady who was I am assuming the Vet Teck, she did a wonderful job with Ellery. I am bad at remembering names. She and her team mate came in to give Ellery her shots and draw blood. She was very gentle. Then she clipped Ellery's nails and one clip scared Ellery and she kinda half snapped and barked. Which she has never done. The young lady was not unnerved. I held Ellery little tighter and she finished the nails. I will definitely come back for all checkup and follow ups. And also We where Heartworm Negative.

We recently brought our cat, Bella, in for an emergency. Everyone was so caring and concerned. They showed great sympathy for us when Bella passed away. The team is always there for us when we need them and we appreciate that very much!

Took our dog there for an Emergency. They were so good to him and took excellent care of him. They are now the only place we will take him. He is a rescue and doesn't play well with others. The last vet we took him to wanted us to drug him before we brought him in because he was aggressive. Horn Lake never had a problem with him, we don't have to drug him and it is a great place!! Sweet caring people who seem to Love Animals and their jobs.

I took my cat because he has not eaten in two days. They did blood work to see if he had something. I told him when I came in his tail was hurt. They came back in and said you have to give him the following meds and pills. He should be better in a few days. Well on the second day he died. The never once told me he was about to die or even close to it. They haven't even tried to call me after they took the 300 for the bill. I had to explain to my5 year old little girl that her cat that she found died didn't make it the next morning. I would of had the vet put him done. But no I had to hear her cry that they said he would be all right daddy over and over you took her best friend. Please do not take you pets to the clinic they only want your money.

My dog of 11 years was seen at the after hour emergency clinic last Thursday night. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure which caused him to have a seizure as well. This was a highly traumatic experience for me and my 5 year old son. (I would also like to mention I am 9 months pregnant and was having contractions due to the stress.) After a x-ray Dr. Mobley came in and sat in the floor, behind the exam table, and never even looked up at us while talking. He acted completely put out that we were there while explaining that my dog's heart was "very enlarged" and he had a lot of fluid in his lungs. I understand that it was 4 AM and my dog had slightly improved, but, he is there to provide a service. He basically said our options were to leave my dog there with him or to go to my vet's office once open. It was very apparent he wanted us to take him. Although terrified, I chose to take him home because I did not trust leaving him there with a completely disinterested vet. I went home and laid in the floor with my dog who was working very hard to breath, while having contractions, for the next 3 hours until my vet's office opened. My dog spent the next day with an I.V. getting medications to stabilize him. To add insult to injury, once the notes were forwarded to my vet's office, it was very obvious they had not even listened to what I told them occurred. Very Very disappointed!! If I could rate them no stars I would. I'm new to the area and I will definitely be researching if there is another emergency vet in the area.

The entire team is superior! Our dog got bit by a Copperhead. We were scared to death. His leg was swelling really bad. The staff was immediately attentive and caring. They got him all fixed up. Thank you HL Animal Hospital.

Jerry Moore

Everyone there took great care of my puppy Minnie. I am eternally grateful for you guys. Thank you so much!

Avis MOORE

I've had only great experiences with the staff! My pet is very comfortable going and I love that! I strongly recommend Horn Lake Animal Hospital, very professional!

I had to rush our sick baby there after he got in the trash. Dr. Graham were fantastic to him and us. They worked hard to save him and kept him for a couple of days, but we ended up having to put hum to sleep. While trying to save him, they called me several times a day to update. When it was time to put him to sleep, they were compassionate and caring. The vet who did it and whose name got lost in the emotions of it all cried with us as she did her job. That kind of compassion is hard to find. They allowed us to stay with Homer until we were ready to go. I am grateful for all they did to help. Thank you!!

Everyone was helpful and understanding. They cared about my cat and getting it well. Would recommend to anyone who has pets. I would drive the 45 minutes for them to be my regular vet.

Tammy Sousan

We love Horn Lake Animal Hospital. All the staff and vets are so nice and caring. I know Nugget is getting the best care.

Tina Johnson

My first time using them. I got a new teacup min pin and he is only 2 lbs. He is very fragile being that tiny. And he had gotten something that upset his system. Dr. Kristie knew exactly what to do and how to take care of him. Sending instructions home and medications. He is doing wonderful now. I will be using Dr. Kristie for him lifetime care. I was really satisfied with everyone in the office. Thank you Horn Lake Animal Hospital for caring so much about all of the furbabies.

Dorothy McNeil

Each time that time Oscar and I visit we have a great experince and the staff is wonderful, they take the time to answer any questions I have the staff the best. One late night Oscar had a life threating situation, I was really really scared, they took care of my baby , I screwed up and gave him some table food as a treat and almost killed him, they even called to check on him the next day I appreciate the great service they provide. Oscar is a rescue dog, service dog in training.

Rene Robertson

The staff is always kind and efficient! It is worth the 45 minute drive for them to care for my fur babies!

David Hibler

Horn Lake Animal Hospital is the only place I trust with the care of my animals.

Valerie Whitaker

If I could give this an 11 on a scale of 5 I would. I am on a fixed income, I spent my extra income on 2 root canals and crowns this month. I brought a stray cat that I've fed since July. Dr. Jenifer only charged me for the medication. This, to me, shows the concern for the animals that is important in medical care. She was kind, caring and I'm so impressed by her kindness. Thank you so so much. And seriously I thought this young cat was a female so I named her Bella. Found out I should name him bello. Thank you thank you

Elizabeth Johnson

We LOVE Horn Lake Animal Hospital. They have always treated my dog, Nugget with care and love. Everyone is very professional and very knowledgeable. I would not take Nugget anywhere else. Horn Lake Animal Hospital is the best around.

My daughter took her 2 yr old cat there last night after we had discovered him wheezing pretty bad. While I am thankful for a 24 hour vet so close, I am highly disappointed that after 500 bucks of testing and xrays, all she was told was "we dont know" and wanted to continue to charge her until they found out what it was. I told her to stop. I'm an ICU nurse. and I listen to lungs all day long and this cat was full of fluid. He needed antibiotics (which he did get) he was also dehydrated. And they did nothing for him....not even a subq injection of fluids to help him. So I have been giving him 5cc of water every 4 hours to help him. Then she was told to take him to her vet.... I thought that was what this place was! If you are going to do tr he bare minimum at the maximum price and then tell people to take them to your own vet why are you even open?!?!?!?!

Brooke Akins

They were more than accommodating, I called everyday when when my pup was in for a week from contracting Parvo, and they were always happy to answer this nervous mommas questions. They saved my puppy opal and she is doing amazing and healthy as ever. Thank You Horn Lake!

Judy Mize

The staff is friendly and helpful. The Doctors are professional and caring with the patients.

Super69Beast

They have taken great care of my little girl, I mean my dog. They actually care about what they do and how they do it. Harder and harder to find in businesses these days.

Janet Green

I love this Animal hospital! Rather its an emergency or a regular check up they are compasionate and they give excellent care. They give you an estimate of cost head of time. I ouldn't take my dogs any where else.

Mike Stoy

Polite, professional and they aren't always trying to sell me more than I want. I've been taking my dogs here for 8 yrs.. very satisfied

Our pet family has been patients at HLAH since 1998. We are always treated with the utmost respect and care. If it weren't for our love and the care given to our pets at HLAH our oldest cat would not have made it 19 years and counting. They are committed to their patients and we are grateful for their quality of care. Steve & Linda B

Horn Lake Animal is the best place to bring your animals for emergency care. I have brought my dogs there when I needed after hours care and met the most compassionate ,dedicated and caring Staff I have ever seen. The Staff addressed my pet's illness with utmost attention and cared for my pets like they were their pets. I know my pets are in good care when they are brought there. Horn Lake Animal Clinic truly has a place in my heart and I will be forever grateful. Thank You

Absolutely and excellent Emergency Vet Hospital. Used this facility and staff twice now over a couple years and was always treated fairly, responsibly, and courteously by the ladies there and Dr. Cassellaw. Very professional place. Just wish it was closer to Olive Branch!!! HA! But recommend this place highly!!!

Denise Terese-Koch

Horn Lake Animal Hospital Emergency Care Team was fantastic. I brought my 2 year old Yorkie in at 8:30 pm on a Friday night, she needed immediate attention as she was vomiting blood. I phoned ahead and was greeted at the door. My little one was taken back immediately and we had a tentative diagnosis within 10 minutes. She stayed two days, had terrific care and was feeling 100% better when I picked her up.. If your 4 legged child needs emergency care, I would highly recommend Horn Lake Animal Hospital.

The Staff is the best!!!!!

Rebecca Jones

The staff was incredibly helpful and informative. They took time to answer any questions and explain my dogs issue with us. They are friendly and you can tell they care. The cost was not as bad as I thought it would be. It was comparable to what I would spend at my regular vet for the same services even though it was at 2 am. Will be returning and recommend for any problems.

How I wish I'd read reviews before taking our baby there (after hours, when our normal vet wasn't open). I tried to reason with myself there was no way a building full of animal professionals let my dog die, but I'm convinced now that they did. The first night I took him in, they kept him overnight and sent him home the next morning drugged up saying nothing was wrong but anxiety. When he threw up blood that afternoon, we took him back and left him there on "supportive care" waiting for a call to update us on if surgery would be necessary. I called to check in that night, was told by a rude tech that there was no change and that the vet would call if there was news after the next xrays, if not then in the morning. Instead I woke the next morning to a call that he was dead. The vet would not even come speak to us when we picked up his body, and 2 weeks later refused to let us see his charts. I trusted so blindly that they'd take care of him and call us if something was really wrong. I tried to give these people the benefit of the doubt, but now I know the truth. Please, please stay away, only heartbreak here.

I have used Horn Lake Animal Hospital for more than 20 years. My dog's have all lived to a healthy long life. I have had as many as four dog's at one time, I get a discount for bringing more than one dog at a time. Your first trip they will check your pet head to toe to make sure they are in perfect health when they leave.

Allison Pish

Our son's dog had a swollen throat and he was crying so we ran Scooter down there....Never been there before but have been to some other places (different pets) and thought it would be a $800 bill but wasn't, they showed lots of love to Scooter and my son!

Vanessa love

Love this place! They treat my furbaby like he really matters to them! They've earned my trust in caring for my now 7 year old boy!

Nate Hen

Took my dog Ruby in here about two weeks ago, after she ate something pretty dangerous. Everyone was very professional and nice, and took good care of her. She had to stay overnight and I was freaked out as much if not more than she was. So far there have been no problems and I thank y’all so much for your services. Price was not as bad as I thought so that was pretty good too. Thank you again Horn Lake Animal Hospital.

Shannon Wilson

I brought my fur baby, Paisley, into the after hours emergency to be helped by Dr. Lantham, Dr. Chavez and the team. They were excellent in making sure she was comfortable and taken great care of. Paisley had to stay there for two nights and I can honestly say they treated her like one of their own. They made sure I received constant communication on how she was doing and even allowed me to come spend time with her while she stayed overnight. This gave me a peace of mind that I knew they were doing all they could to ensure she was being healed. I would highly recommend anyone to have their fur babies treated by the team at Horn Lake. Kudos to you all! Thank you from the bottom of my ❤️

lisa murphy

Can't say enough wonderful things about the staff here! Wonderful people, and so kind hearted. I had to put my oldest dog down last Saturday, and my dog and I both were made comfortable and her passing was peaceful. They've always shown the upmost kindness with all my pets, and I've been a customer over 20 years. Shed alot of tears, and had a lot of laughter too.

Julie Garcia

I love Dr. Davis he’s been my vet for many years. He’s Always kind and professional. I only trust horn lake animal hospital with my fur babies health care. Two weeks ago I took my Sammy in as his old age is rapidly approaching. After getting X-rays Dr Davis gave me instructions along with two different meds for Sammy. By the next evening my Sammy was playing with his toys and running around again. ❤️

Johnnie Hurt

I'm so thankful for Horn Lake Animal Hospital. They saved my shi -poodle. I brought her in because so many thing was going wrong. I thought she wasn't going to make it. Nervous, scare and tearful as I was the doctor assure me that I brought her in time and with proper treatment she will get better. I begin to feel a since of relief. The next day I picked her up and she came to me doing well and as of today she is running around and even walking with my husband on the trails. I thank the wonderful staff, techs and the great doctors for all their help. God bless them all.

James Gaines

This is best place to take your pet. Everyone is so friendly and loves your pet! Quick and always professional!! My dog loves to go!!

Alexus Watson

Very thorough and caring. Reasonably priced.

Kristen Boyer

We took our very sick dog here they ran some test and then charged us $500 before we even was told what was wrong. Then they said they wanted to keep him over night for another $500. But wasn't gonna give him anything to help him. So we took him so another vet and they said there wasnt anything that could be done. He was dying. A few weeks later a friend took her dog here and had the SAME test was done. I know this bc I had my paper work still. And she was charged $80. NOW her dog wasnt that sick and was giving meds and sent home. Sad to see they will charge a family with a dying pet Soooo much more money for the same service of a pet not dying. I will NEVER go back! PLEASE take your pets to another vet they are your family too they should be treated MUCH better than what this place treat them.

Monica Light

I have been going to the Horn Lake Animal Hospital for more than 15 years and they have always given the BEST service and care for all 9 my animals. They have been there for the good times and bad times. Great support staff. I would highly recommend Horn Lake Animal Hospital/Emergency Office for pets medical needs.

Amanda McLean

Not very impressed. Apparently they don't really care about animals unless its an extreme case. Tried taking my cat in for a flea treatment and they told me "just give him a bath in dawn soap then come buy this medicine and put it on him" not every cat owner is an expert on this. Some actually need help to make sure its being done correctly. Their response for help is "find a friend who knows what they are doing." I guess if this is normal for Mississippi vets, I will just go to Tennessee.

Connie Smith

Very good

William Turner

The vet and staff are nice and polite, but they will charge you like crazy before you leave. Go anywhere else, and you will save a lot of money. My dog required surgery. The vet gave me a low quote and a high quote. I was told that I would only have to pay the low quote if there were no complications. I was also told that the high quote was for a worst case scenario. The surgery was performed. The vet called me after surgery. She said that everything went great with the surgery, there were no complications, and my dog was doing great. My wife called the next day to check in. The staff told her that our dog was doing great and has not been vomiting. When we went to pick our dog up the following day, we were given a bill that almost equaled the high quote. I asked for an explanation. The vet told me that she had to perform a different surgery from the one I was quoted, and my dog had to be given 6 different injections because she was vomiting from the surgery. WHY AM I JUST NOW HEARING ABOUT THIS WHEN IT COMES TIME TO PAY??????????????? I would recommend going anywhere else but here.

Ash Ley

My 12lbs baby was attacked by a pit bull, so I had to go after hours. It was expensive enough for the surgery here, but it was horrible looking to me. It was twice as long then the actual cut was. She was just gapping open with holes that needed stitching or something. I had to put her down because she was in such bad shape. I'm not a doctor, but I'd rather not take my dog home with being able to see inside of her. Also, one of the techs told me it was okay to clean stitches with peroxide. Many have said against that...

Linda Bailey

I checked the website before taking my dog Buddy in and it said regular hours until 6pm. I got there at 5:35 and was charged an emergency visit. She told me emergency hours start at 5:30 pm. Very expensive but Buddy was breathing hard and I had no other choice. The veterinarian was very nice and helpful. Just not happy with the charges I incurred. They know you are going to pay whatever to have your baby taken care of.

Alexa G

Never, ever go here unless it's a dire emergency! It's all about money with them! My whole experience with them has been absolute hell. They will always suggest the most expensive solution and every time I have a brought a pet there, they look almost as bad leaving as they did coming in. Recently, my little pup was attacked by another dog. They told me my only option was surgery and it would cost around $500. The same wound treated at Open Arms Animal Hospital cost me $160 TOTAL including boarding for one week. I just went to pick her up and she's running around, wagging her tail, looking great. They are SO nice and I will never bring my pet anywhere else.

Nola Hart

Definitely will recommend Dr. Thomas and staff to anyone with an exotic pet that needs treatment. I will take Nitro (a bearded dragon) to Dr. Thomas for all of his medical needs.

Bobbi Callahan

They have done a great job with my 2 dogs. They also have a boarding service which makes me more comfortable leaving the dogs there since they already have their health information. My dogs are not well trained and on the hyper side, but the staff here seems to be able to handle them well.

Will Terry

I was surprised to know that Dr. Davis and Dr. Mobley weren’t there anymore. However, I was even more surprised to learn that I had not been told all of the cost associated with spaying my dog. When I made my appointment I was under the impression the cost would be under 150 dollars, but much to my surprise when I arrived to pick her up it was over 300 dollars. I suggest you guys tell your clients all cost that could be associated. I understand having worked at a vet myself that you don’t always know everything, but it’s pretty dishonest to basically double the cost. My dog was also given meds which I was not made aware of after her surgery they wanted to charge me for. Please understand in my job I quote prices for services daily that can not all be predicted, but as a rule I make it aware certain things may be need so my consumer can be prepared if the need arises.

Barry Jones

After another vet butchered our Bailey, your caring staff tried very hard to save him. Unfortunately, the damage was too great and he died regardless, but your staff’s concern and professionalism was a comfort. Happy New Year!

phillip beard

I brought my puppy in and the vet said he needed to be kept for the entire weekend and would need iv fluids and steroids along with blood work and that it would run between 300 and 400. The puppy was very sick and needed immediate care. I asked if they could begin treatment overnight and I would pick him up in the morning to transfer him to my regular vet. He was there less than 10 hours and they still charged almost 400 which is what they said it would be for the whole weekends stay. This place is a rip off. The same treatment at my regular vet was only 115 dollars. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU CAN NOT GET ANYWHERE ELSE!!! T

Lori Krovitz

Entire staff is very friendly. I like the "no appointment". I have been going there for about 3 years and only once have I had to wait more than 10 minutes before someone seeing me.

S Hutchison

Shelby Harding

I really like this place, the staff is so friendly and courteous. I didn’t think I would trust a vet with my rabbit as much as I do Dr. Thomas. He answered all my questions, all 1 million of them, and showed me how to trim his claws. The vet techs are super sweet too!

Shawn Swift

Horn Lake Animal Hospital is always there when I need them. It never fails: my animals get ill or injured after regular vet's hours. They are always professional and relatively speedy, handling a large number of clients in various states of need from just shots to emergency surgery. The vets are thorough with care and home instructions. Their prices are reasonable and they have a good process for providing quotes and payments. Also a very clean facility.

Bee Bee

They are greedy. My dog had a disc and spine injury so I went to the emergency after hours doctor there. He advised me to drive 3 1/2 away to a neurologist in Mississippi because it’s a sister company instead of referring me to the same kind of doctor 30 mins away in Germantown. When I call less than 4 hours after we left they told me I would need to pay again to get an X-ray they never offered me. I wouldn’t recommend them because any decision made by them is base on money they can swindle out of you. The pets health’s not that much of a factor to them. Less than 1 star if I could.

Rhonda Gladney

The doctors and staff at Horn Lake Animal Hospital are not only professional but they truly care about your pets well being. I wouldn't trust just anyone to take care of my baby girl, they treat her like she is one of their own. I would highly recommend this clinic for all of your veterinary needs--they truly care.

John Cofer

Pup needed quick and dire medical attention asap and they were awesome!

Jodie Duffie

all the staff is great with our dog and super friendly and helpful with us. the staff always answers any questions we may have.

Vernekia Bradley

The people at the Horn Lake Animal Hospital are warm and approachable. They helped me to make the decision to put my 14 yr old Shitzu down after being attacked by two pitbulls. I received phone calls and letters in the mail asking if they could do anything during that terrible time. I thought that was absolutely great! Outside of being a little more expensive than surrounding animal clinics, they are "Awesome"! Would recommend to family and friends. Professional atmosphere!

Sonja Kruzich

Have taken all my furry babies there and will continue to. All the staff seem genuinely concerned about my Baby Bear.

Brian Henry

Great vets and friendly staff!

Soli Uhlir

I have had the best experience every time I have visited the office. The vets are very professional, and the staff members as well. I could never trust my baby's care to a group of people more worthy.

Cristy Branum

I have been going to HLAH for about ten years. Every doctor here has provided exemplary diagnosis, treatment, and overall care for each of my dogs. After two incorrect diagnosis for two separate dogs at other vets, the doctors at HLAH quickly deduced the correct underlying ailments. The vet techs are efficient and caring. The cost is very reasonable. They are a full service vet during the day and an emergency center at night. They board and have the added bonus of a groomer attached to their building. One stop shopping for quality pet care; I highly recommend for your furry children.

Jim West

Excellent care...better be setting down when you get the bill...obscenely expensive...

Margaret Lara

They have always treated my family like their family, I Love it. it's not like going to the doctor.

Lauren Talbert

They wanted to do tests that were not needed and got attitudes when I was trying to figure out how I was going to fix my pet when I didn’t have the funds at the moment to do everything they wanted to do and didn’t have a smile on my face about it. If it was possible to give negative stars, this review would definitely have negative stars. Staff was extremely rude!!!!!!!!!! When someone brings their sick pet into a vet office they aren’t going to be all smiles, especially when told the amount it will cost and the funds aren’t there at the time. Instead of being met with concern for the pet and owner you are met with the worst attitudes. Vomiting and diarrhea for over 24 hours and I was told my dog had a heart murmur, but would need to do xrays and blood work to find out what the exact problem was, which was going to cost more than what I could afford at the moment. With no other choice than to try to find somewhere that might possibly be cheaper, I phoned a friend who told me about a vets office in olive branch, ms, All Animal Hospital. Quickly took my pup to All Animal Hospital and surprisingly no xrays or blood work was needed. Stool sample taken to see what meds were needed for sickness and heart medication given for the murmur. NEVER WILL I EVER TAKE ANOTHER ANIMAL TO HORN LAKE ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!!!!!

Sonia Bailey

Ive been grieving and missing my sweet Ceasar who was put to sleep on Labor Day 2018. I want to thank the people that worked that day helping me and my children to cope with what was going on. I did receive a card and i truley appreciate that. Thank you for your caring and having options for my sweet Ceasar. Thank you..

Christina Marx

I live out of their area, but two times I have gone to them for emergency services and they were extremely kind and professional. I would highly recommend them.

Hal Mitchell

On 11/26/2017 I brought my dog, “Buddy”, to the Horn Lake Animal Hospital as an emergency. It was Sunday afternoon and all other veterinarian services were closed. Buddy had been suffering from a subcutaneous hemangiosarcoma and his tumor burst. My wife and I were able to provide basic medical attention in order to stabilize his bleeding but we knew this was the end of the road for our 13-year-old labrador retriever. Our primary veterinarian said this was a possibility if he did not respond to our treatments. So, we loaded him up as comfortably as possible and headed for the only emergency animal hospital in the area. Upon entry into the facility (you have to be let in due to the door always being locked) I was greeted by Shelly. She was helping another client while having trouble with the printer. After a few minutes she asked what services I was there for. I informed her my dog’s tumor had ruptured and he was bleeding out and needed to be euthanized. She gave me a new patient form to fill out. This is where things took a turn. My dying dog was comfortable in the back of the vehicle on many blankets and pillows from home so I inquired about the possibility of having the injection done in this comfortable location he so loved. Shelly told me that was not a possibility due to some drug licensing restriction. I have a feeling this is false and plan to contact a DVM who is a friend to get the real deal. The form asked for very sensitive personal information including date of birth, employer information, and driver’s license information. As a habit I do not give out this information unless absolutely necessary. I gave the form back to Shelly (minus the sensitive information) who then immediately said I needed to fill out the rest of the form. I told her that I do not give out that information due to its sensitive nature. She promptly refused to give us service without this information. Now to put this into perspective, I have a dog that is bleeding to death in the back of my vehicle and this facility decided that it would be better to let him suffer at the end of his life so that they could get all pertinent billing information in case they needed to collect. That is simply unacceptable and unethical. Stunned, I politely asked to speak with Shelly’s manager. She informed me the only other person I could speak with was the DVM. Shelly then stormed off to the back where she immediately told two other ladies on staff that I was being a jerk and wanted to speak with the DVM. Eventually, Dr. Carlson Graham came to speak with me. I informed him of the situation and he tried to feed me additional false information about how it was “basically” the law to give over that information in order to get the veterinary care my dog required. I informed him of his incorrect assertion as I had received veterinarian care (many times) in the past and never gave this sensitive information over. Sensing I was wasting time with him I flat out asked him if he was going to refuse service if I did not release my private information over and he said yes. I, under protest, gave them the sensitive information they required so my dear sweet Buddy could get the help he desperately needed. I only asked that they not leave my form out on the counter as they had with the previous client whose information was in the open for all to see. The rest of the visit went as one might expect. They rendered the services as expected. Unfortunately for us that live in the North MS area they run the only facility that fills this niche market and this lack of competition has translated to poor service and policies that do not benefit their client and patients. In my opinion, this facility needs to get their priorities in order and figure out if they are in the veterinary care industry to make a lot of money at the expense of empathy and care for their patients OR if they are in the industry to provide a high level of care and compassion for the animals we love so very much. The VHMA/AVMA have been contacted for the ethics violation.

Suzanne

The staff was professional and understanding to the animals and their owners. We had our dog and two cats seen by their staff and we found that they were great.

Dr. Thomas is an awesome exotic vet! Excited to have him in the area.

I would like to thank Dr. Graham and the entire staff at Horn Lake Animal Hospital for saving my babies life!!! She is a chihuahua rat terrier mix with the heart of a lion! She was attacked by another dog who has horrible dog parents!!! He is a pit bull but it’s NOT his fault! The staff there is absolutely amazing! I recommend them to everyone!!!! 5 plus stars !!!!!

Alice LoCicero

Unbelievable that you would turn your greedy white coat back on a kitten near death. You should make this better immediately, I suggest a housecall to the woman who is a rescue all in her own dime. She should have a half price spay and neuter, considering how many she takes in. If you need your needlessly abandoned patient with a homeless sick kitten, and dont have her number? I will gladly supply it. What a shame.

Claire Dobbs

I haven't been to many vets that try as hard as the staff there do at calming my babies. Not that they've ever been manhandled exactly, but mostly go in, do procedure as efficient as possible, and get out. To have the staff do this and ALSO try to comfort my pups when I cant be there really makes me grateful for their care.

Angie Rice

I agree with Tom. I’m heartbroken over losing my pet there.

Aubrey McMillan

Dr. Johnson was nice and this was the only place in the area open on Sunday when my yorkie-poo was having trouble. They basically did "comfort care" and general lab work during a 24 hour stay that resulted in my dog dying and then sent me a bill in the mail for $422; when the sign in the clinic says they don't bill. I don't think they should've charged me an outrageous amount after what happend. It should've been a low boarding fee, but they charged him as "ICU stay". Really??? Go elsewhere....

Dr Thomas and staff are amazing

Marda O'Bryant

Warm and caring - very thorough

Ramona Puckett

Absolutely love this place. Everyone is so caring! Dr. Davis is wonderful. Couldn't ask for any place better. Seen quickly.

David BUffington

This animal hospital is the Best I have found, everyone is so friendly and really care about your babies

Laura Tentoni

I brought my cat very early one morning when I got home from work for a nasty infection. The staff was great and helped me get in him into a room and cleaned up when I arrived. Doctor was great and came explained what he would like to do for my pet and my options. I was in and out quickly.

Bob Young

Our dog, Bogey, broke a nail tonight and wouldn't let us touch it. He would yelp with pain at any contact with his paw. He was seen very quickly and within a few minutes we were on our way with a much happier dog. The staff was.just great and we were extremely happy with the experience and outcome.

Adam Marshall

Very kind and compassionate when I had to have my dog, Snoop, put down. Thank you.

Patrisha Bridges

The team at Horn Lake Animal hospital were amazing. My Evie La Reaux's first vet experience was filled with laughter, concern, gentleness and lots and lots of love. From the moment we arrived the receptionist welcomed is with a sweet friendly smile and lots of attention given to Evie La Reaux. Then the nurse came in, she was very kind and we'll educated about Evie La Reaux's symptoms. She explained what I was to do and what each medicine was. The vet himself was super amazing. He gave his undivided attention to my Lil Evie La Reaux. She was definitely the princess that day. Thank you all for making our first vet experience a memorable one. God bless you all.

My goldendoodle came down with an unusual condition called pyrometra. It is a uterine infection that occurs in unspayed females after a heat cycle. Basically, the uterus fills up with puss and the condition is not remedied without being spayed. Horn Lake Hospital did a fabulous job, was very professional, got me in immediately the day I called and had an unbelievable price. I highly recommend them. I drove 50 minutes to get there. If I lived closer I would go to them for everything. The staff was so friendly and kind. Way to Go Horn Lake Animal Hospital. Thank you so much!!!

Dee Parker

While Horn Lake Animal Hospital is not our regular vet clinic, we have needed their emergency services several times over the years. Excellent service, great staff! They have saved our pets' lives and/or treated serious conditions. They have always clearly explained the procedures and cost to us, plus worked with us on a health care plan. Also, they have cheerfully and professionally shared the emergency information/treatment with our regular vet for follow up care. A big "Thank You" to Horn Lake Animal Hospital.

Tony Richardson

Took my dog up there and they didn't even look at her before they said she needed xrays.

Cindy Younger

Elizabeth Albritton

My sister took her 8 month old kitten in to be nutered and he died at the end of surgery. DO Not trust your beloved pet to these haeartless people who take no responsibility in the death that occurred during surgery.

Patricia Andrews

My precious Oxford was taken care of so well. The girls working there are "THE BEST'.

Meagan Cockayne

It was our first time there and we had a very pleasant experience! Dr. Chavez was wonderful with my Rufus! Will definitely be returning.

K. Michelle McGhee

I have a rescue that was a fight dog and is not social. They had a separate place for us to wait so he didn't get so upset. Everyone from the front desk to the vet was amazing with my dog! They put him at ease, loved on him, and treated him with care. I felt like he finally got the care he deserved! No one cringed from him or was scared of him. This will definitely be our vet for now on!

I initially took my baby to another vet. It was a complete waste of time. They sent me here. There was a lot of miscommunication between the two facilities, causing me to run back and forth. I appreciate Dr. Thomas coming to discuss things with me and being straightforward . My sweet baby passed away.

Susan B

After a couple of other vets told me their was no hope for my dog that had CHF, these great doctors and assistants gave me another 10 months with him. When the time came, they went above and beyond to help me send my Pooka over the Rainbow Bridge. They were very caring and supportive the whole time. I was always informed of the cost and care they were giving him. I believe their rates are competitive with the other vets that I have dealt with. I have since adopted another dog and I will not be taking him anywhere else. Horn Lake Animal Hospital is the best around.

Rob Mm

I am finding it tough to put into words how much your staff helped me. From saving my Sookie’s life, to answering all my questions, to putting up with me calling every few hours to check on her, to actually getting to talk to the doctor on the phone twice...everything about your facility was top notch. I hate we had to find you under the circumstances that we did, but I’m so thankful for everything you did for Sookie and us :) TEN STARS and 2 paws up. Craig Allen Tupelo, MS

Everyone was nice and accommodating. This will be my new go to veterinary place .

Dori Ruch

We took our sick pup into HL Animal Hospital for diagnosis. This was not our regular vet, as it was closed. We had a "non-emergency, but needs to be seen asap" situation after work. The hours are WONDERFUL! When I walked in, there was no overbearing urine smell, as you would find in some vet offices. The place was clean. The staff was attentive and Dr. Graham was very thorough. Within days, our Colby was feeling himself again. We made the decision to change our vet to HL Animal Hospital. Colby returned for a teeth cleaning and annual shots, and Buddy, our other fur baby, went next door to the Groom Shoppe. When Colby got through surgery, a member of the staff called to let me know that our boy made it through and that he was doing well, which I found comforting. If you've ever worried about your pet - you know what I mean! When Buddy was finished getting his haircut, I received a call from them, as well. You cannot beat the friendly staff, the great hours, and the convenience (vet/grooming AND location). If you are looking for a vet for your fur baby........ Look no further! HL Animal Hospital is THE place! Thanks, y'all for taking care of us!

horrible experience, stay away from this place

Abe Jafar

The best vet service. My poor puppy had so many issues when I adopted him from shelter, they saved his life. I'm forever grateful.

walter

These people have no compassion for animals, definitely need not to be in practice.

Rochelle Lewis

Had a great visit, the staff was friendly and the service was wonderful they loved my lulu

Marquiesha Whitlow

Hi I have a question about my future of being a vet I don’t know what type of veterinarian I want to be but I don’t want to do any surgeries on animals but I was wondering if you could help me and teach me about becoming a veterinarian but I’m only 14 years old and I’m going to college soon and really needed some help from an expert

Kathy S

While others have complained of a rude office staff, I found them to be extremely pleasant and friendly. And I encountered 4 different staff members when I took my pet in to be spayed. They were all very friendly and helpful. Also, as others have complained about their pricing, I did not think their prices were inflated and I found them to be competitive with my previous vet. I am completely happy and will be visiting their office again when needed.

J Aspin

They have been my family vet for years, and though the new kids sometimes get a little ambitious, I know I can call Scotchie and get his opinion. Staff is very sympathetic.

lori schwenk

your prices are good...You got us right in the 2 times we came in...when I brought in a shaky stray kitten(hoping to be able to bring her into our family) but ended up being recommended she be put down.. everyone was so sweet and I could tell you all felt as bad as me and sent me a sympathy card for a stray which i kept for her...and when my husband brought our chiweenie in because she was not acting right ...the doctor felt it was allergies and didnt push a ton of tests (just to make money) it turned out it was allergies cause within about 30 mins after giving her the pills she was given she was fine and now she is back to the funny cuddly little dog she always is...

Zara Simo

they care most about the fancy dogs ,and they treat animals like resist human treat them selves, i took my little animal to be neutered .they been negligent poor hygiene and after i picked the dog ,there is no afford to explain the situation of the dog and what do i need to do and how much medicine i should give her .acting like get your doom dog and hit the road they got paid after all .they said all is in bottle .got home opened medicine gave her on pain medicine it said QTY 5 ,there was only 4, called the person in charge asking is it a problem i just gave her a pain medicine it said in bottle i had 5 i found 4 only ,she said we gave her one dont give her another till next day ,when i said i already gave her 1 and no one explain to me .with sarcasm she said she be ok and hung up called back she wont pick the phone .to those stuff its just a dog and they make living on people that have heart on dog they rescued .if you care about your dog i advice you don't take it there ever .

Miranda Bunting

They have a friendly staff and the wait time has never been very long for us.

Rhonda Gillihan

I just left from my first experience with this animal clinic and I must say I am VERY impressed! The staff was friendly from the 2 ladies at the front to the vet and techs I encountered in the back. I felt very comfortable with the care my babies received! I didn’t feel pressured to spend more money and was very pleased with my final bill.

tyler parris

i'm a people doctor and needed a dog doctor. glad my wife chose here. we are from small town alabama and have a local large and small vet dr berry in piedmont who is AWESOME. while in memphis our dog got into some fish hooks. we were able to remove a few but one remained in the lower lip. our pup needed sedation... called several different providers to verify they were open on a weekend. my wife wanted to visit the "more small town type" establishment. she made the right call. good, fast, friendly service from first contact to finish. very reasonable price for minimal conscious sedation, foreign body removal, abx and pain meds. overall very happy and will return if needed while we are in memphis. visit on AM 1/24/16

Dr Davis & his staff are not only friendly & helpful but are up to date on treatments of dogs, especially greyhounds. I have had to take my dogs to the ER at Horn Lake & they were taken care of in a matter of minutes. I was allowed to stay with my dogs each time as they helped me. I had one dog who had seizures, Dr. Davis kept her in his office all day long on a nice bed so he could watch her. He called me off & on that Sunday to let me know how she was. They are convenient to me, even though I'm 17 miles east of their office. I've called & told them I'm on my way & they were waiting in the parking lot for me. On top of which, I found out he & my regular vet are at some of the same conferences. My greyhound friends know to go to Dr. Davis in the case of an emergency, and it's well worth it. I'm from four hours away .if this vets wasn't so far away my dog would be alive today. Dogs stomach twisted an er doc in area I'm from wanted 7500 to do surgery. This place tried to but it was to bad. For less than half the price . If I lived closer my dog would of made it. This place will treat ANYONE rite. They aren't like ER VET IN HUNSTVILLE AL. If you don't believe me stop by an you will see

Halle Taylor

Very friendly staff. The visit was also quick but thorough. Would highly recommend!

Steve Hessler

Saved my French Bulldog after his heatstroke. These folks are the best. I would bring any of my pets to them in an emergency . They have the best Vets and equipment to save your beloved pets life.

seaquest3062

Dr. Megan and everyone that was there that day. Friendly service, willing to work with me on everything and gave good details on my pets condition.

Cliff Guy

Matt Castellaw is by far the best vet I have ever dealt with, at any vet clinic. He is very comprehensive in his exam and treatment of my 'senior' dog. I've always felt confident that he is providing the best treatment options, without unnecessary tests etc., that many other vet clinics will suggest just to inflate the price. The support staff are always super nice as well - I've recommended Horn Lake Animal to everyone I work with!

Amanda Eddington

This animal hospital has an emergency staff, so its convenient if you have an emergency after hours. It is the most expensive vet in the area, however. They are not our regular place, however.

Mia Potts

The medical team as well as the counter staff are incredibly supportive and friendly. They have state of the art equipment and use updated techniques. I love my pets and their health is as important as mine!! I can't see me taking my babies anywhere else!

amanda lee

I had a puppy that was only a few weeks old. I took him to get his shots. They said he had parvo and I would have him put down OR for an extra 700 they could treat his Parvo. They gave me unreal expectations on how well the treatment would work. We decided to spend the extra money. They called me 2 days later and said he died... and that I still owed them over 500.00 and that they could not see my other animal (which has been going there for 10 years) unless I pay the 500 first. Very callous

Jennifer Willard

Horn Lake Animal Hospital takes great care of my dog Bucky! The staff is very friendly and the vets are top notch.

Tobi Cassino

Great Experience for my miniature schnauzer

Heather Hess

Never been charged so high for vet service. I usually take my animals to cold water for service they are the BEST. I've had my 3 Dog stay a week in their care and 1 get spayed and did not have to pay even half of what I was charged for 2 days here. My dog was on iv & 1 xray over an irrated bowel. Yes irrated Bowel that make her vomit and poo blood as though it was an ulcer in her stomach. She could of been sent home that night but they wanted to keep her 2 days. What topped it off was I was quoted a price. Then come check out charged almost 150.00 over that price. I was going to be charged 50.00 for food that was absolutely not needed and meds I could of gotten at my vet. My dog can eat rice and chicken breast which were on the doctors notes. When I said to take it off I was then told that they started her on them that day so I HAD to pay their HIGH PRICE. PRICE GOUGE MUCH! I can promise I will never ever bring my animals here again. My vet opened 2 hours later than this one. From now on I will wait until a real vet that actually cares for animals and not for their pocket book. This hospital takes advantage of owners who care for their animal. Bewarned! Oh and if you read some of the other views on their site, The vets response is that they think they are compariable to other clinics. WHAT A JOKE!

Mary Doe

Dr. Davis is one of the most caring, loving vets in the area. I have been taking my pets to for over a decade. He started seeing my dog when she was a puppy, sadly she had an illness that led to her losing two of her legs and Dr Davis and his friendly staff were with us all the way. She is 10 now and gets around amazingly on her two legs. When it came time to pay the bill Dr Davis was so generous, only charging us the bare minimum. He clearly does what he does for the love of animals.

Jennifer Nichols

Excellent animal hospital! Staff and vets are amazing! I would highly recommend them to anyone! They are a 24 hour emergency vet, as well as, a regular vet. I love them!

Adrianna Broyles

They helped my cat get better after she accidentally licked the flea dope off of her kittens and she was having seizures. Without them, I don't think my cat would've made it.

Clarence Haynes

Great Service on a Sunday afternoon after my Dog was hit by a car. Very Professional,Friendly, Fair.

Amanda Taylor

Honestly, I am a little disappointed with this hospital. I know how important reviews are and they were ok during my last interaction with them so they get 3 starts. But I didn’t want to give them that solely based on the front desk attitude about the entire situation. From the absolute beginning it has been one thing after another. I am an animal lover! I want to see all of these babies taken care of especially in a time of an emergency. Yesterday morning on the way home from the store I see 4 dogs in the middle of the road in front of latimer park. I stop traffic behind me then to tell them to move out of the road. When I notice they stopped traffic I’m assuming because one of the other dogs had been hit. Her left side of her body seemed to have had the most damage. She was bleeding from her mouth, her left leg. She was terrified and the more I tried to help her the more scared she was. As long as I was rubbing her or moving slowly she was a sweetheart and even was licking my hand at one point. If I went near her wounds, teeth came out. From 7 am- 8:30 am I called animal controls and animal hospitals and left messages. At one point she had flipped into a small creek in the ditch and wouldn’t let anyone help her. I was afraid of her drowning and I was screaming for help. I called open arms and she was so sweet, wished me luck and said to call HL animal hospital because they didn’t have a doctor in at the moment. Genuinely felt bad she couldn’t help. I called horn lake animal hospital and they said they couldn’t help to call horn lake animal control. I finally had someone that also saw the dog get hit across the street sit with her while I personally go up to animal control and get help. At first they weren’t in a hurry but after getting there and asking they were there maybe 5 minutes after me. They seen how sweet she was unless you tried to move her and seen the pain she was in and was so willing to help and i saw compassion in one of the guys eyes as he’s moving her. Which was something I haven’t seen in this entire situation!! They tell me she is going to the HL animal hospital for treatment and that I can call and check on her since you know I spent 2 hours of my morning getting a dog I’ve never known help. I wanted to see how it turned out. I called this morning and Ms. Erica at the front desk, at first is asking all types of random weird questions. All I wanted to know was if the dog made it. I’m positive not many stray animals with two different colored eyes had been brought in by animal control yesterday morning..... I mean come on. I plan to work closely with the shelter to assist in finding her a good home if they’ll let me. Possibly considered fostering. I just don’t understand why exactly I am not allowed to know the status of how she is when I’m the one who made her get there. There is no harm in what I’m asking.. that was just someone having a bad morning taking it out on this. Unprofessional.

Tabatha Hilton

We have used Horn Lake Animal Hospital for all of our cats and dogs since we moved to the area in 2008. The staff is friendly and professional, and the doctors take great care of our pets. They've treated a couple of our rescues with heartworms and erlichiosis, both scary diagnoses and treatments, but our pups made it through, and are healthy as can be now. They are the best around, and I highly recommend.

Corteon Cox

Never leave you dog here they torture them when you leave my dog was hungry and she was shaking and scared when she saw me please take this serious go somewhere else

Stacy Turner

I love Dr Matt, Dr Chavez and all of the support staff at Horn Lake Animal Hospital. Recently I had an issue and Tammy, the manager, was very helpful and went out of her way to make me feel better about my pet’s situation. Thank you team!

Nini572951

They made a bad accident easy, with my 92 pound fur baby

Tom Parker

Awful place. This is not a Emergency hospital for animals, its a morgue.

Chris Tartt

We wouldn't take our pets anywhere else!!! We have used Horn Lake Animal Hospital for over 10 years, we have even moved and still venture to Horn Lake just for this clinic. I recommend them to everyone I know.

Morgan Robinson

The staff here have always been very caring and helpful. We have been going here for years and they have taken care of everything for our fur babies from shots, to broken leg, to having to make the choice of putting one of our babies to sleep. I highly recommend them for all your fur baby care.

SF AS

Brought in a puppy to get tested for Parvo, charged us $160. Puppy died the same day of Parvo. Now trying to save the rest of the litter, all positive with Parvo. Thank you for contacting us.

Jen Crunk

I was blown away by how nice the staff was and how much they loved on my Duke and how understanding they were of my fears. I am so thankful I took him there!

Jack Buchanan

I have been using Horn Lake Animal hospital since the mid 90s and have had many animals, k/9 partners as well as my own pets and have gotten Dr Davis out of bed more than once in the middle of the night. The staff cares about animals and has recently made my transition of having to euthanize one of my beloved dogs less painful. When I bring one of my pets to them I know they are in good hands and I would recommend them to anyone.

Annastasia Aldridge

One of the only places that cares for reptiles and truly cares about them. Lowest prices for reptile care and doesn't have an extravagant new client fee.

Brandon Jones

Very professional and great doctors. They saved my lab. THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!

Kimberly Hyatt

Our animals are our children and I would trust Horn Lake with my kids anytime.

Barrymore Kilgo

I love this hospital. I have been taking my fur babies here for twelve years and they have the best doctors. I strongly suggest them.

Stephanie Neal

Dr. Chavez is by far one of the best veterinarians that we have around here! She is very intelligent, friendly, & just over all a wonderful person. She’s helped us with just about every animal we own, shows such compassion & concern for their needs & well being.

Jamita Townsend Harper

My dog is a patient and he has been given great care.

A week ago I took my two 7 month old kittens to be spayed. Got a call a few hours later telling me that our baby CC passed away at the end of surgery. I was completely shocked and the DR didn't seem very caring. Wanted to know what I wanted to do with her. Now her sister is crying constantly looking for her sister. My family is devastated. I paid extra for the pre blood work to insure she was healthy enough for surgery. Now hearing from others I have spoke to about poor treatment. I should have listened to my gut after I took them there for shots and the same DR seemed like cats were not her thing. I had lots of questions and she asked her helper things that I would hope any competent vet should know. I am now looking for a great Cat Vet in the area. Will never step foot back inside here. When I picked up my other kitty the next day the staff would barely look at me and wanted me to get my kitty who was terrified out of the cage. They had her in the middle of dogs and she was so scared. Took her a while to get back to normal.
