Amazing care for our minature schnauzer as well as the human family. They explained options, medications and expenses with care and compassion to help make the the best decisions. Overall, great experience.

I brought my dog in I an dogsitting. She is very sick. They got right to her and were very compassionate and caring. Thank you.

Don't go here unless you like giving away all your money. They are overpriced and will charge you for every little thing. Any response from the owner is just trying to save what little face they have left.

I'll start by saying it is very unfortunate that this is the only emergency clinic anywhere near the Biloxi area. I brought my dog into this clinic this weekend. It was very obvious my dog was in a lot of pain and something was seriously wrong. So I agreed to pay $350 that was for blood work and X-ray. Her bloom work was perfect and they found nothing on her X-ray. Sent us home with pain pills and an antibiotic. We got home gave her the meds and that is when my sweet baby got really bad. I've looked up the medicines they had given us and they both say in the side effects the danger of seizures. I am almost sure that is what started to happen. She was screaming, never heard a dog scream in my entire life, don't ever want to experience what I saw again. She began to vomit and move her little legs 100mph but couldn't move, then her body locked up and she was just in a daze. Durning all of this my whole family was trying to calm her and I was calling the vet back. They said it would be free to come back. Thank goodness "free". When we got back they said "she's gotten much worse"... Um yeah. Since they did nothing the first visit. They said it seemed like she had gotten into some toxins or something. They said we needed to hospitalize her. We agreed because we couldn't bring her back home in the condition she was in and we didn't know anyway else to help her. $315 to leave her. Which we had no choice. Called back in the morning to check on her, they said she did okay durning the night and wasn't doing too great that morning. She was back to trembling and spiked a fever. About a hour later the vet called to tell me she had passed. My dog was the healthiest most outgoing dog on the earth. For this to happen within two days is basically unbelievable. In no way am I saying I blame this clinic for the death of my dog, but I don't feel as if they contributed to saving my dogs life. I could be completely wrong, but I also feel as if the meds they gave her made whatever was wrong worse. And we still don't know what caused her sudden illness that resulting in her dying. That also amazed me, that they could not tell us.. If it was poison of some kind wouldn't they have been able to test her for that. Or know the signs symptoms and how to treat for emergency situations. My family is heartbroken.

I belong to a cat lover's group on Facebook. One of our members had an emergency, her cat had a urinary blockage. He needed to be hospitalized for the weekend. She did not have the money so we all pitched in to help. Even though we didn't have the total amount needed by the time she was leaving, the vet agreed to keep her cat because he would certainly die if he didn't stay overnight. The staff here cares more about the animals than the do the money and that's hard to find these days. We ended up raising all the money needed and they let us call in the donations since we live all over America. Ellen was working the desk and was super kind and understanding as we all called in with our payments. If I ever end up in MS I will be taking my cats here. What an incredible staff! The cat, Simon ended up needing to stay several days and they took excellent care of him. They made sure he was ok to go home before releasing him, not because they wanted more money but because they care about Simon. The rates were super reasonable compared to other ER vets I've worked with in this group but the most remarkable thing was how much they cared for Simon's well being. I highly recommend Gulf Coast!

My lage dog had been run over by a pickup truck on U.S. 90 in Long Beach near Pass Christian right around 5pm. Every vet in the area was closed. Her wounds were severe, and she had lost several pints of blood and was fading in-and-out of consciousness by the time I got her to the veterinary emergency clinic in Woolmarket/Biloxi (the closest vet still open, over an hour's drive away). Not only did the male vet (whose name I forget) miraculously save my dog's life, he did so at such a reasonable price I was stunned when I was told how much (or better put how little) I owed. My family owns a business that among other things, specializes in treating chronic wounds, so I was able to provide more by way of post-op support than most. It was a long healing process (three months before she was walking on all four legs), however three years later I am happy to say that she's fully healed and is living a happy, wonderful life. Given her prognosis upon arrival, most vets would have simply advise I euthanize her. This one didn't. He saved her life against all odds, and today both she and I are eternally grateful. If ever a business was worthy of a 5-star rating, it's this one. My sincerest thanks, WePick P.S. It was Valentines day of 2013 when the accident happened. I brought her in around 6:00-6:30 pm, if the owners of this page care to look up who wrote this review.

Just called this place and had a huge attitude where the woman started yelling on the phone within two minutes , when I said Jesus Christ nevermind she tried to pretend she was being rude because she couldn't hear me.. yeah right. Get a better desk clerk. My pet was in crisis and I was met with cruelty because I guess someone wasn't having a good day. I never leave bad reviews, this is my first. Wow.

Brought our kitten in who had been hit by a car. He had a broken jaw and his eye socket was in bad shape. I thought the staff was pretty good, not super friend but I really like Dr. J Sutton. He was very professional and polite. He explained what was going on through the whole process. He ended up staying there for 3 days and having surgery. He is as good as new. Family is very happy.

We had a beautiful male cat who had chronic urinary problems. We had a blockage on a Saturday afternoon and unfortunately this emergency vet was the only one open. While he was suffering, I had to wait with him until they handled less major problems. When we were finally seen, I was told they had to do an X-ray, which seems to be their standard operating procedure, and they would insert a catheter, which they should have done first. He had to stay there until Monday morning and we were instructed to take him to our regular vet from there. When he got to his regular vet, they pulled out a pus filled catheter. My regular vet was furious that they didn't take better care of my poor cat and I was mad at myself for putting him through such poor treatment. Oh, we were charged over a $1000 for such shoddy work. The vets in this area should stop referring their patients to this clinic. It makes them all look bad!

Even tho it isn’t where we wanted to spend Christmas Eve at we are so thankful for the staff here and Miranda was such a great tech and took such good care of our River. They were willing to work with us and everything with money and different treatments. If you are ever in a bind this is the place to take your fur baby. We are so thankful and blessed they took care of our boy. Thank you!!

The first night I arrived with my 9 year old cat who had no prior medical conditions or illnesses but was having difficulty breathing. I had my daughter and mother with me and the doctor first explained she wanted to do x rays and see if that told us anything and then blood work if the x rays didnt offer an explanation. She left to go get pricing and a short while later a male returned and said the doctor wants to do this and handed me a piece of paper with a list of x rays and blood work with pricing. When I tried to ask if they were going to do the x rays first he bluntly said "so you dont want to do it?" And as I tried to respond and ask a question he literally walked out and slammed the door in my face. I phoned my husband to tell him what the doctor was saying and to find out how to pay and while I was on the phone the doctor returned, looked at me on the phone, acted irritated and turned around and walked back out. I paid $473.57 to be told that my cat was anemic and needed an ultrasound but their ultrasound machine was not good enough to see what they were looking for and was instructed to drive my cat to New Orleans...looking back, maybe that would have been the best choice. The doctor gave subcutaneous fluids and steroid shot then typed his blood and sent me on my way. I took my cat to my regular vet first thing the next morning and got an ultrasound...all organs were fine, no blood pooling anywhere but a mass on the right side that did not appear dense enough to be cancer and could be a fatty tumor. I returned to Gulf Coast Emergency Vet facility for a transfusion and left my cat there for the procedure. I returned to visit my cat at 10:00 PM and he just seemed sad and tired in a cage with an IV. I stayed approximately 1 hour and went home. I received a call the next morning from another doctor notifying me that my cat was doing fine but then started panting and struggling to breath. They put him back on oxygen and she said he had fluid in his lungs so I returned to the facility. Upon arrival the nurse came in and proceeded to tell me my cat had a heart murmer...this was the first I had heard of this and I explained that nobody had told me anything about a heart murmer. Then I asked about the fluid in his lungs and she knew nothing about it. The doctor never came to speak to me and the nurse didnt know anything. She said they had my cat stabilized on oxygen but I observed him struggling to breath inside the oxygen cage. No one could offer any explanation or a clear diagnosis. My husband and I decided to go ahead and euthanize our pet...which was a very emotional and difficult decision. This nurse did not allow me to hold him during the procedure, talked to me like I was a child and basically pushed me aside, picked up my cat who was fighting her and held him down while he was struggling and injected him. I told him I loved him, kissed him and exited the facility. My husband stayed with my cat. My last moments with my cat were him struggling and being held down and euthanized. Then, seeing that I was visibly upset, the same nurse walked to the front as they handed us the casket and apologized. When I responded she acted dramatic, began crying and ran to the back slamming the door behind her. I just watched my cat struggle to live for 2 days, spent $1300 and ultimately watched her hold him down and euthanize him while he struggled to get away and she acted like I had done something horrible to her. The lack of bedside manner is appalling and its very unnerving to see a facility this size with pets, expensive fish tanks, etc. That doesnt have proper equipment to perform an ultrasound and give a diagnosis. The two staff members who I encountered should not be there until they learn to interact with people better. Extremely sad!

This is a disgusting facility. Not by appearance but by the staff &greed I am utterly disgusted. This is a horrible last resort to bring your precious pet here if they are sick /injured. These are greedy individuals that are only concerned with money. I walked in with my pet shaking, hurting, vomiting, &yelping and they refused to help her until the full amount of the bill was paid. $350 for an x-ray that didn't even tell us what was wrong with my dog, a bottle of pain pills (she only took 1 pill that later made her throw up) &to walk in alone was $50 out of that $350. After all these fees they told me to just bring her home. My dog, later that night, had a seizure so I brought her back only for this vet e.r. to take their SWEET TIME seeing her (only 1 other dog was at that vet at that time) &to refuse to help her again until we paid the full amount of ANOTHER $350. I agreed, only because I love my dog but I got a phone call in the morning informing me my dog had passed. $600 down the drain &a dead dog is what I received from this horrible place. Do not come here if you want your precious pet in the hands of people who care. When picking up my dead dog the woman behind the desk said, "It just happens." Negligence also happens &that is EXACTLY what happend to my poor dog. They're lucky they are the only 24 hr emergency vet hospital on the Gulf Coast otherwise they would be out of business.

I went there last night after I noticed my 7 year old shih tzu had lost her sight suddenly. Of course I expected emergency fees, what I didnt expect was them doing procedures without explaining the proces first. Then after I cried and cried about how I was even goin to afford the 400 dollars, which I didnt have... I learn of an option they never explained to me. A care credit card. I would of opted for more treatment and left her over night for observation. This was never explained to me at all as even being an option. I called there today and the lady that answered the phone was #1 rude and uncompassionate and told me oh yeah we take that and u can apply online and bring her back for the rest of the treatment!!!!! I'm furious!!!!

Unfortunately I've head to bring my dog here on multiple occasions because of a liver issue that causes him to have frequent, sometimes violent seizures. I really felt the vets, especially Dr. Burke, cared and had my dogs best interest in mind. She went out of her way several times to get in contact with my dogs primary vet as well as his veterinary internist and took time to explain to me everything they had done/were doing — They even called a few days after my pup was discharged to check in and see how he was doing. The facility is really nice (and clean!) and I was allowed to visit him as many times as I wanted. I 100% felt comfortable knowing my dog was there.

The same people that own Beach View Animal Hospital own this ER, so I thought the service would be just as good. My fur baby was having seizures, which we knew were coming because she had a tumor, but we were keeping her comfortable as long as possible. When we arrived the office manager didn’t even let the vet know we were there. She wouldn’t send someone out to help us bring the fur baby in either, so our dog just sat out there in the car suffering through her seizures when she needed to be put down, and all we could do was cry hold her! Finally one of the vets heard us screaming at the desk clerk who hadn’t even bothered to tell anyone we were there or what was going on. They instantly took the fur baby to the back and did what needed to be done, but she had to sit there and suffer for almost an hour waiting because some lazy desk person didn’t want to do her job. I’ve never been so upset.

We brought our chihuahua into the ER because he was in pretty bad shape after vomiting like 5 times in a 24 hrs period, despite our best efforts to give him food and water he just couldn't keep it in his tummy. As soon as we check him we told them and they could see the dog was dehydrated so we ask them to put him on some IV so that he could regain strength. And all the did was to put him on a warmer machine. Then, the power went of in the building and the and their generator did not kick off. "REALLY" we waited and so did him "45 min" to put an IV even thought they realized he need it and we ask them to do it. When my wife and inquire about our dog the front desk secretary didn't bother to put us at ease and coldly replied that they were doing what they could to bring the generator back up. Well, in an area like MS they shouldn't they have this science nailed down? Having generator issues is just unacceptable in an ER hospital. I asked them what the expectation was to get the generator back online and if they were gonna call somebody to come fix the generator and the front secretary replied "just gonna have to wait until power comes back up". OK finally the power came back and I said to my self let's see what happens now. My wife then ask the front desk permission to see our dog to see if he was improving after all he's been in there with the IV for about 45 minutes right? WRONG they went in and he was still in there without an IV. REALLY? How is he supposed to show any signs of recovery from dehydration if he didn't have the IV on? Well then, my wife complained once more and within minutes the started the IV treatment. About 20 minutes later they took us in to the consultation room to give us a quote of how much it will take for them to begging running labs, test, etc. and it came to about $800 that we would gladly paid if it meant he was gonna be taken care off by these so call professionals. After trying to convince us to sign the paperwork to begin the tests, because we wouldn't agree to anything until they would agree to let us see the dog to see if he was getting better with the IV, to allows to take the financial descision on the matter at hand, they agree to let us see the dog. we began walking out of the room when the nurse "literally" ran to where he was because my wife and daughter so her running down the hall, they stopped us by the door an told us wait a moment and they would come get us and so we did. A few minutes passed and the doctor came open the door of the consultation room we were waiting and bluntly opened the door and spoke loudly and without any consideration or empathy that our dog has suddenly stopped breathing and they were doing CPR on him "REALLY?" I thought to myself not only he bluntly announced the dead of our dog in from of my daughter (owner) whom just lost her childhood best friend causing her to scream out load "What" "What did you say" and pouring her heart our in tears for her recently deceased friend/pet. But he also said it without any consideration for empathy for our lost. Quiet frankly there are people who are borne with the love and care for animals/pets and completely understand and sympathies with the families going thru such trial but you won't find these type of people in the hospital. Trust me if you're going to take your pet to them for routine checks, easy fix and are welling to spend the extra $$$ then is your call the to give a shot. But I wouldn't wish anybody having they dogs sicks to the stomach to be taking to this facility unless you're prepare to pay $$$ top dollar for the care and they funeral arrangements, not to mentioned the grieving period afterwards. finally like 10 minutes into the mourning they front desk secretary tells my wife "I'm sorry, but I'm ready to check you out" whalla! tip of the Iceberg! one good thing: they reduced the bill from $230 to I think like $140 or so. bad things: everything else (in our humble opinion)

This place is horrible. My dog wasnt eating so they tested her for parvo/worms and then sent us home after about three hours of coming in and out. We went in at four and left around seven. They never actually said what was wrong with her and they kept raising the price. I was told 265 then i was asked if 500 dollars would be ok. They dont do payment plans so you have to pay that same day . My dog still wont eat and the medicine seems useless. I figured out what was wrong eith her myself . I called to let them know that the medicine wasnt working ans the lady basically told me just to go to her regular vet! I wasted 265 here and i have no idea what i wasted it on because i didn't get a paper with the prices.I payed over 100 and got zero results yet these people dont care at all. They just wanted the money because as someone who loves my dog, they knew i would pay it.If they can do it to me then they can do it to anyone. As people do,i checked the reviews before going and they were decent.I was just worried about saving ny ddog because her normal vet was closed ,and this place was open.I have never written a review in my life but i just dont want anyone else losing money at this place.Sure, anything for your dog but if its not effective then what's the point. They didn't offer a refund or anything, they just left me to deal with it.The appointment could have taken just ten minutes but instead it took over three hours and thats facts.I could have used the money elsewhere where my dog would have been helped. Please, please, please beware of this place .Go somewhere else these people will feed off of your emotions and your love for your dog.It isn't the price that bothers me,pet health is expensive. It's the fact that it didn't help and now i have to spend even more money to help my dog .I will spend it ,but i wont spend it here .My dog wasnt looking so well that day and at the rate these people were going,my dog could have died in there. If you care about your pet like i do,please do NOT bring them here.It isnt worth it.I wouldn't be typing this review if it wasnt .If it was up to me i would give this place a zero, like the results they gave me.I literally juat can't believe i wasted my money. I know that you win some and you lose some , but this is just crazy and apon writing this review i had called and told them.I will NOT be letting this go. I don't like people that take advantage of other people. Yes the people were kind to me like everyone else BEFORE they got my money.I just want my money back.I don't want anyone going through the same thing as me and i am making this review as long as i can so no one will.I waited days to call, thinking mabye the medicine will work today,or tommorow but no.Take your pets some where else I'm telling you .Beware of this place.Yes,always look to see if a place has good reviews ,but always check the bad ones. All i knew that day was that i neededto save mt dog.Imagine how i must feel.Todays her birthday and sbe still won't eat.I would be in tears if i didn't have to be strong for her.I have to feed her through a syringe for her to eat,and these people dont care. Its like they didn't even listen. They left us in the room while they chatted and laughed and i didn't care, I didn't complain because i didn't want to risk my dog not getting help. They recommend foods even though i said my dog wouldn't eat. They offered to hook her up to have watwr placed in her even though she wasnt dehydrated. She was taking water, she was just weak.I am sure someone else has had similar experience and if you have, please #speakup.Speak up so other people will know where to stay away from, even if you dont care for everyone else.It is the dogs, the cats, etc, that we are trying to help.Dont give this place any business.By how they charge I'm sure that they will be ok with no visitors for a couple of months. These people have my number, they know how to reach me back but even with this review they probably wont but like i said,I wont let this go.I am going to make sure everyone stays away .Beware like the place is a haunted house.

I brought my very sick cat here a last night around 11pm. I was extremely disappointed with them. They left us waiting in the exam room for over half an hour, and we could hear the vet tech at the front desk standing there gossiping with her coworker for a good fifteen minutes before she finally came back. She was not getting papers or using the computer or anything, just standing there laughing. Meanwhile I'm sitting there panicking, wondering if my cat is going to die. Both her and the vet that was there that night came off as uncompassionate, unprofessional, and it felt like they just wanted us to leave. A lot of my questions were given vague answers or brushed off entirely. There was very little interaction between us and the vet, and it was definitely overpriced. My cat is okay, and I am thankful for that. But please don't forget that you're at work to help animals and their owners too, not to goof off and do a mediocre job.

Our 8 month old puppy came down with parvo and we took her there immediately. They kept her for 4 days, and we got to bring her home today. The vets and techs there are absolutely amazing!!! They updated is constantly and were so nice and knowledgeable about what was going on with our girl. They gave her a fighting chance. I highly recommend!!!!

Yea they will save you dog, for double the amount of any other vet. They were supposed to give my dog a c-section, thankfully they were able to induce further labor and the pups were born naturally. Here is the kicker the original total came out to $784.23 with out blood work, with blood work the total was just under 1k. It is really hard for a 22 year old to afford a payment as such so naturally I took the no blood work option. The vet said “it looks like she is going to save you a lot of money” considering the c-section Itemized cost for the dogs weight is $250 and Anastasia is over $100 that’s at least a $350 return. Now proceeding to the check out of the dog and puppies, one of the four people working up front goes to give me the return money on my card. She tells me that my return is $230, now I’m confused. I said, “something can not be right here”. So I asked for an itemized receipt before she put the money back on the card. They continued to argue with me assuring me I will get my itemized receipt after the transfer. I continue to persist to the point where I unfortunately had to be rude with the lady. Then Whom I assume is her Superior came to the front stating that their was a confusion with the blood work and they had to refund the blood work money. The blood work was off the table before I Signed for any services to be done, as discussed previously. So the blood work should not have been in question, it was bull and void before they took the dog to the back. In conclusion if I would have been a nice guy they would have stolen $200 for a service that was not rendered nor wanted. On my way home with my dog and puppies, a thought went through my mind. How many individuals have they done this too that have not had the opportunity to catch them in the act. These Fraudulent activities must stop.

So we came in for a dog with diarrhea and a small amount of blood in his stool. The fecal and blood tests came back "clear" and they sent us on our way with some antibiotics and probiotics for $400. I wasn't really mad about the price because at least I had peace of mind that the dog would be feeling better soon. Literally 12 hours later I take a look at his next stool sample and it is *covered* with tapeworm segments. It is insane that we spent $400 and were given a clean bill of health only to find an overtly obvious parasite problem. Would NEVER recommend this place for any reason other than your pet being unresponsive on a weekend with no other options. Seriously, a toddler could give you a more accurate diagnosis.

My cat was acting strangly after being neutered. Like he wanted to pee but couldn't I was afraid he had a blockage.it was after hours (11p.m.) so I brought him here. I was put in a private room as soon as I arrived. I was warmly greeted, and the doctor saw my cat within 15 min. The doctor assured me my cat was fine, and told me I wouldn't be charged for peace of mind. I would recommend these caring professionals to anyone!

Another pet treated here successfully last week. My chicken stayed overnight and was sent home the next day with antibiotics and is recovering nicely. I have been going here for many years and probably have taken 15-20 pets for treatment. Reasons for visits have included removal of a spleen due to a five pound tumor, removal of an eye due to cancer, surgery because a dog ate a rug, having a fish hook stuck in a dog's nose, dogs injured because they got in a fight with one another, a dog who had a toe bitten off by another dog, an injured kitten I found on the roadside who had a leg amputated, a dog who ate a whole bottle of another dog's meds, a rescue dog who was throwing up blood because of heartworm treatment and various other illnesses and injuries both major and minor. I find the doctors to be outstanding and trust them to make the right decisions for my pets. The staff is professional and polite and has always treated me and my pets with compassion and kindness. There is no better place to take your pets.

The vet here was great and saved my puppies life she had parvovirus. Our dog is 3 years old and has brought great happiness to the life of our family. Highly recommend they love and care

Our elderly lab was in acute renal failure, weak and dehydrated. Had to be carried. Spent the night on IV fluids and medication with compassionate and skillful care . Improved greatly overnight and although outcome very much in doubt we are so grateful for the care by the doctors and technicians. This is an extraordinary facility and the coast is fortunate to have it.

Several of our dogs have been to this clinic and the experience has always been good. They do good work at a reasonable cost, are obvious animal lovers, and did well by our fur babies. It's comforting to know we can count on them any time and get such expertise. Stewart pups Rocky, Betsy, and Pearl.

Scott Rosner

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Sutton. I adopted a stray puppy that I found wondering in the road with severe injuries on her legs. I took her to this clinic and my new pup received great care. Dr. Sutton is personable and has a huge heart! He actually waived the emergency fee because I had saved the dog. 2 weeks later, I took her in for what turned out to be kennel cough.. he waived the fee again! I cannot speak for the other doctors because I have not dealt with them but I give Dr. Sutton 5 stars. What a great guy!

Ruby Davis

Only in it for money. Heartless people.

Absolutely unprofessional. Attitude from staff as soon as i walked threw the door. Apparently they pick and choose what animal's they want to take care of!

The staff and Vet were great and treated my Dog like family. My dog had recently had a procedure at another facility in the area. He ripped a couple of sutures (of course outside of when my normal vet is open - that's how it always works for me!) I called and asked a few quick questions and brought him straight in. They took his whole health condition into consideration (he's older and on other meds for the recent procedure) and provided treatment options. He got three staples to replace the torn sutures and we were in and out in under an hour. The price was very reasonable. Should I have any other after hours issues while I'm in the area, I won't hesitate to go back. I would highly recommend this vet!

Gail Pav

So glad they are here for emergencies! My little female dachshund has pancreatitis. I listened to my gut one Sunday afternoon that said don't wait till your vet is open on Monday-TAKE her NOW! So glad I did as afterwards I read that they can die quickly from dehydration. They took her, allowed me to see where she would be spending the night and updated me at 6 am. I was so relieved and they did a fantastic job with her. So kind and compassionate. My little dog doesn't take to just anyone and as they delivered her to me the tech said "ok, gimme a kiss goodbye" lick,lick-OMG Reign loved her!! Even Reign knew she was loved and taken care of by these experts! My go to peeps for ER!

An appropriate time to write this review would be Thanksgiving. I have a lot to be thankful for in regards to having this amazing emergency hospital just minutes away. I had arrived to Ocean Springs with 52 hours of resident time after relocating from California. Upon our idyllic walk in early evening one of the neighbors dog viciously attacked my dog and pinning us up against my idyllic white picket fence. Terrifying. No vet. All I had was Google Maps, new neighbors and a local vet saying go to this emergency hospital. I was directed correctly. From the front of house staff welcome and concern, the vet techs who were so thorough , the vets on duty(yeah Dr. Alice), just an amazing experience at a time of despair and concern. Being of greyhound they understood his sensitivity to drugs for sedating, the concern of thin skin and no fat for tearing. Understand that I have had access to UC of Davis living in CA. At Gulf Coast Veterinary Emergency, I was able to see his X-rays and a full explanation that the intestines were not hit or muscles torn. AND given the digital disc as well. The staple work the best I have ever seen! Honestly, I visited UC of Davis at one point and after 59 days still did not get X-rays but finally got a report of visit on the 59 day after multiple requests. This is one of the best veterinary clinics in the country and it is in my back yard which I am grateful. I will go to sleep every night knowing that this jewel of comfort and caring people are there if I need them. Hoping not, as this is the first emergency visit for my 10 year old boy. I cannot tell enough people of this amazing place. As for cost, as we all know when it comes to our animals, we make decisions at a time of crisis that sometimes take our breath away. I was shocked at how reasonable it was to make sure he got the right care and medical procedures. For the services, the staff, the equipment and timeliness of care they could have charged me anything but they did not! Thankful beyond words!

TERRIBLE customer service and EXTREMELY expensive. Do not reccomend. AT. ALL. The lady that answers the phone will try and make you feel so stupid for even calling. No compassion. just rude. If you can, make the drive to Lucedale Singing River Aninal Clinic.. obviously you have to call for the emergency services, but they are so kind and it is well worth it.

Dr. Alice and staff are absolutely amazing! They treated my fur baby as their own! Dr. Alice was very thorough and all around amazing.

For anyone who has fur babies in the family, at some point you may face an emergency situation with your pet. I have been a client of this fine facility for more than 10 years. Dr. Sutton and Dr. Sutton are exceptional in their care of animals. They led a team of professionals who are compassionate and experienced to provide the emergency care needed. I have complete trust in their skills and have always been sure that they have gone above and beyond in takng care of my pets' needs. Thefacility is truly state of the art and you will find that they have so many resources to treat and fare for emergencies. Until the next time, i know that they will be waiting to serve.

I could not be happier with this clinic and its staff! We had to bring one of our cats in after midnight as she had developed a rather painful UTI in the course of a few hours. I called ahead of time (as their website requested) so that when we arrived they had a room waiting for us. The tech who took the preliminary information was very sweet, and the vet who saw our cat could not have been nicer. Normally the old girl is terrible in clinic situations, but both the tech and the doctor handled her so well that she never gave a thought to nipping either. After treatment they faxed all the information to our regular vet, which was a time saver for sure. Even better, they called a few nights later to check in on our kitty to see how she was doing.

I took my dog here after she vomited blood, which I'm sure anyone with fur babies understands is a very scary situation. They did everything they could to try and figure out what was wrong and find a treatment plan. The doc and nurses were super friendly and helpful. Was a rough situation for me, I'm grateful to them for everything they did.

The best experience we could have had when we knew it was going to be a sad one. We are new to the area and my 14 year old cat had been diagnosed with cancer a month prior. I came home from work and it appeared she had gone blind during the day and was very confused (the tumor was in a facial bone). I knew it was time to euthanize. We called ahead to let them know we were coming and the second I hit the door with my tear filled eyes they hurried us back to a private room. Dr Burke sat with us, explained the process and what to expect. She talked us through the entire procedure until it was over. Of course I expected myself to be crying but to look up and see the vet and the technician crying as well was so heart warming. As often as they see sad outcomes it hadn't made them calloused to what I was going through. They arranged for our cat to cremated (with her favorite blanket of course) and we had the ashes two days later. I see reviews about cost and people need to remember this is an EMERGENCY facility with expensive machines and meds. They are open after hours when we need them and we should have to pay a little extra for that. Otherwise wait until your vet opens the next morning. This clinic and the staff were a blessing to us that night and we appreciate it more than they will ever know. I highly recommend them for your EMERGENCY needs!

I was referred by my vet to go here and have an ultrasound done on my sick Lab. Dr. Burk and the staff were very friendly and very helpful and most of all very gentle and caring to my sick fur baby. After the ultrasound. Things were explained to us and unfortunately my baby was very sick and wouldn't be here much longer but the caring way they handled it made a world of difference. Thank you Gulf Coast Veterinary Hospital!

My little Maltese, Mollie Mae, has been seeing Dr. Sutton at his beach view clinic for several years. My sweet baby is 15 years old and had never had health problems. But less than a year ago she was having complications and had to take her to GCV Emergency Clinic. I was so worried that she wouldn’t make it when we received the news that she had a tumor. Dr. Sutton and his staff saved my baby’s life and I am forever grateful! They are the most kind, patient, and animal loving people! Thank you for all you do!

Twice the price as other places. Go somewhere else if possible. On a good note the will take in wild animals that seem hurt. I dropped a bird off to them all the rescue places were full

We had an injured baby blue parrot that we had for two years. He had hit the ground hard and sprang his neck flying around the house. Sadly he passed later that day. He passed due to another accident shortly after breaking our hearts. The service and expertise provided here was to notch. As long as you continually asked upfront what the prices will be and what your options are for care and treatments. They were very thorough and not expensive but not cheap. Staff was friendly, caring, and treated us with the upmost respect throughout the whole process. We have used this place before and completely forgot to review it but 2 thumbs up!!!!!! Keep up the great work :-)

I can’t say enough about the staff and this facility. Is it costly? Yes it is and here’s why. It’s a larger 24/7 staffed facility and just like our own ER there are overheads and costs to run. Our puppy was adopted on a Saturday from the Humane Society and on the Sunday he came down with Parvovirus symptoms. This facility took our puppy and gave him a fighting chance and saved our dogs life. The staff were empathetic, armed us with factual knowledge and expectations. He spent 5 days getting the care he neeed before we got to bring him home for the first time. Today he is an energetic puppy doing all the puppy things we expected when he was adopted. We called our own vet this morning to make an appointment and they already knew everything about Archer. Gulf Coast had sent them a report of Archers care so they knew exactly what meds and care he was given. Thankful to have our puppy home.

Very clean, professional, friendly staff and knowledgeable, caring Doctor.

We cannot say enough about our experience, great staff, they gave our pet the best care we could have asked for, 10 stars for us.

Saved my dog when bleeding profusely. Awesome team of veterinarians

I was charged $186 for them to tell me my dog has swimmers tail. It basically means he strained his tail.

These people are insane...don't have consistent stories, have staff that literally yell at you and slam the door in your face. They take advantage of grieving people and their equipment, as confessed by the doctor, is subpar. Literally within a day of another cat dying after a blood transfusion, my mothers cat was gone. Never had issues, all vital organs were fine, everything came back fine except his blood count...and now he's gone. Then, after telling us how his vital organs were great, today all of a sudden when he was dying...he had a heart murmur that just appeared...this cat frequently went to the vet, never had issue and now this. They capitalize on being the only emergency vet, trust me the nurse told my mother this several times as she was saying she was going to take her cat elsewhere (after their male nurse slammed the door in her face for asking for an explanation of charges). The female nurse said, and I will directly quote "ohh well we are the only ones on the Coast so... You would have to go to Mobile for anybody else" are you serious??? These people need to be shut down, they are sadists masking as caring people...never in my life have I seen an operation like this, never! I hope my mother sues the ever living mess out of them, I couldn't believe their behavior towards her...and I was standing right there. Don't take your pets here!

I have read some really horrid reviews on here that I don't understand. This is an emergency hospital for your loved pets that these Vets run 24/7. So yes it is expensive as it should be due to the fact of the overhead cost of running a hospital non-stop. My Welsh Corgi was hit by a car over a year ago and I brought her here. They did a beautiful job taking care of her for weeks. They cared for her, kept me updated and nursed her back to great health. She lost her back leg and these even taught her to walk again through physical therapy. The only part that was expensive was the late night emergency. The remainder of the bills were less than we pay at her normal vet. Great Job and kudos to the staff here.

We would like to thank the staff at the Gulf Coast Veterinary Emergency Hospital for taking great care of our dogs the other night. About (2am) 12hrs before our flight to relocate overseas with our two dogs we left the house to get dinner. Upon returning we found one/both had gotten into the trash and we found an empty bag that we remembered had baking chocolate in it. We called the hospital and they told us to come in right away. As soon as we arrived they took them to the back room to induce vomiting. It turns out only one had eaten the significant amount of chocolate. They took great care of both of them and let us sit with the dogs while they recovered. They gave us medication for the trip and advised us on the flight. The trip went smoothly, the dogs did very well with no mess in their kennels. We didn't need to use any of the medication because neither of them started vomiting or had diarrhea. This was the best possible outcome for a very bad situation. On top of it all they gave us a military discount. Thanks so much guys we greatly appreciate your help!

Well a couple weeks back i took my guinea pig and was told she was extremely constipated and was given 2 different medicines .Well she wasn't constipated she was pregnant and this morning we lost her and all 4 babies. Babies were killed by the medicines they prescribed. How they can't tell an animal is pregnant with 4 babies on an xray is beyond me. Dont go here at all.

Traveling through Biloxi and I called the emergency line at 2am because my Doberman was displaying troubling behavior just as we got to our hotel room. She gulped down a bowl of water and began coughing and panting very nervously and trembling when she sat down. I jumped on the phone with the first emergency vet I Google'd, fearing her stomach had flipped (common in large breeds) and Dawn immediately took my call. As Dawn asked questions and I answered, Karma's coughs slowed and the panic in her eyes calmed. In other words, I probably panicked too early. But Dawn followed through, after I told her I thought Karma had calmed, she went on to tell me how to find the hospital if she started showing troubling signs (pale gums, worsening cough, etc) With scares like this, it's always invaluable to feel helped and cared for. I commend Dawn for doing that. I'm watching Karma sleep just after I hung up the call and writing this to say "thank you" again.

We took our 15 1/2 year old dachshund to the hospital with breathing difficulties. We are in MS during the winter months and her regular vet is back home. Dr. Jeff Sutton was so very compassionate in explaining to us the options. The veterinary assistant (I don’t remember her name) was also so wonderful and caring. We had to make a hard decision and they let us spend as much time as we wanted with our little girl to say good-bye. We had her cremated so we can take her home with us. The crematory did beautifully and she is in a cedar box with her name plate, a plaster disc with her footprints, and a special poem.

They should take the word emergency out of the name of this place because they don't know what constitutes an emergency. While my husband held our dying dog in the waiting room the dog ahead of ours was getting an antihistamine injection. I'm happy for the woman who's dog got the EMERGENCY (?) antihistamine injection, our small chihuahua was. GASPING FOR AIR. I'm happy that her dog left with his tail wagging. Our very small dog left there in a box. Dead. Would she still be here if her inability to breathe had been treated as an EMERGENCY?? Their primary concern was getting that $1050.00 check for services that were never rendered. They have refigured what we owe them now, since they did NOTHING to help her, but we won't get any of the refund until it's convenient for them, which doesn't surprise me since their treatment of our little baby was second or third on their list of EMERGENCY priorities. This place ha 3.5 stars for a reason. I gave it one because negative stars were not an option.'

I don't even know where to begin. I took my cat there (I was not a cat person but I am now) so broken I didn't believe she would make it to the clinic. Dr. Sarah Burke took X-Rays and then explained the battle we were fighting. Dr. Burke and the entire staff kept her alive through the night (an amazing accomplishment) then contacted me in the morning with updates. After four days in the hospital Ford came home. She is not back to 100% yet, she may never be, but she is alive and very happy thanks to the amazing crew at the Gulf Coast Veterinary Emergency Hospital. Every day she improves and that is all thanks to the work Dr. Sarah Burke and her staff did. I thank them all more than words could ever say. They are the epitome of compassion, understanding, knowledge, and professionalism.
