This is the most awesome clinic I have ever taken my dog to. Dr. May and his staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. He diagnosed my dog's ear within 15 minutes. I had taken him to another vet 4 times in 3 months, can you say $$$$$, and nothing they tried on his ear had worked. Bandit and I are so grateful for Dr. May. He is a good ole farm boy and we hope he never changes.

Dr. David May and his staff have a great clinic. Dr. May saved our dog's life with surgery this past week. His examinations are incredibly thorough and you can tell he really cares about the animals under his charge. His staff is very friendly and professional. We have also boarded our dog with them and they took great care him while we were away.

Dr. May and the whole staff are absolutely the best. I've owned dogs all my life and used 4-5 other vets at other cities. There is no comparison with the treatment I've always gotten and the treatment Dr. May gives. You get to go back with your dog - rooms are just like a doctors office and he treats you like you are taking your child to the doctor. Perfect! Just what I wanted. They love animals and it shows.

Dr. May is one of the most compassionate people I have ever encountered. His staff is also wonderful and very quick to take care of any needs you have. He has cared for our dogs for 10 years now and he has always been great not only with our dogs but wonderful to take time to answer all our questions and concerns. He walked us through the osteosarcoma diagnosis with our nearly 13yo lab. He gave us an additional 2.5 months with him for which we are most grateful. When our pup passed, Dr. May went above and beyond and we received a truly heartfelt sympathy card in the mail a few days later. He treats every animal as if it his own, gives honest feedback and tries very hard to work with everyone. As long as we are in this area, he will be our pets’ veterinarian. Very highly recommended.

WARNING: Dr. May and his staff are really nice and they are good for normal vet things. However, when it comes to your dog having real issues, you need to take them to someone else. Our dog had a heart murmur that Dr. May diagnosed when he was as young as five years old. Dr. May said it was fine, we have a lot of options. For almost a decade we set and watch his heart get larger and Dr. May told us that we still have many options, it's okay, without ever putting him on anything. Finally, he put him on Enalipril to control high blood pressure and Lasix to help combat congestive heart failure (which is really hard on the kidneys) but only in the last year when the condition got really bad. Then one day about 8 months prior to this review, he suddenly tells us we need to think about euthanizing him in the next few days. No warning, just simply "I can't do anything for him." Well that was a lie. First of all, if your dog is having heart issues, you need to get an echocardiogram on him, not an x-ray which is all Dr. May did. We went to another vet who sent us to a heart specialist to have an echocardiogram. They put him on Vetmedin (treats heart failure) & Benazepril (treats high blood pressure - Ace Inhibitor) which are meant to slow down the enlarging of the heart if I understand correctly (not a vet), and it's been almost like having a puppy again at times. He no longer just lays around all day, and has returned to his old self (albeit slower, he is 15 after all). He's back to being excited for walks, intensely watching his humans eat, barking, playing, searching for salamanders, and running away from baths. He still occasionally has wheezing fits because his heart is still enlarged and won't shrink, but he is doing world's better. So far, we've gotten another 8 health-ish and happy months out of our old pup whereas he wouldn't be here if left to Dr. May. The real kicker is that we aren't even the only ones. A friend of my brother had been taking their dog to Dr. May for years and years and was in the same situation where Dr. May told them they had many options to combat their heart issues. Then suddenly they were told they have no options, and should put their beloved pet down without ever trying anything (or trying too late). On hindsight, our dog should have been being treated for his known heart condition far sooner than he was. Like I said, Dr. May is really nice and his staff was always great. We trusted them wholeheartedly. It's just that when it comes to serious issues, go get a second opinion from a specialist (this really should apply to any doctor or vet to be honest).

I've been taking Belle here for the past two years. Dr. May is very nice and personable. They are also very flexible with appointments. Some vets do not allow you or have a space for you to go back with your pets during exams, but Dr.May's office is set up like your regular physician's clinic. I'd highly recommend them.

These are the sweetest people you could ask for in dealing with an animal. Though our little stray kitten had to be put down this morning, the staff there was so gentle in dealing with me, (my uncontrollable sobbing,) and my precious little kitten. Dr. May very generously gave us a return phone call to advise us on the care of our beloved diabetic Cairn terrier, Rocky. He guided us through what could have been a very difficult process for a newly diagnosed diabetic dog. He was informative, kind and extremely helpful. When we brought Rocky in when he was having a sick day the care provided at his Fantin road clinic was WONDERFUL - Rocky was better that same day after we got him home - he was just about to get back to being his regular self...barking at the mailman, UPS truck and generally having a good time. We were grateful and recommend Dr. May and his great staff highly!!!

Best vet ever! Dr May is very kind and considerate. His entire staff is great. Dr Riem has been a great addition as well. I've never had to wait at all for a scheduled appointment. Dr May helped me research cancer treatments for my beloved dog and was there for support until the end. He truly cares for his patients and their 'parents.' I now have two new pups and look forward to bringing them for visits.
