Always driven by MVH for years -- was in need of new vet (my old one was getting older...not as helpful) so did my google search and found MVH. Gave them a try. Very well worth it. My initial with the office manager (sry..Im bad w names)...he was extremelly professional and knowledgable. Answered all my questions and took time to get me estimates -- and followed thru to see if I got them and had any questions. Took my 5mo kitten to them for exam -- saw Dr Freed. Very professional and caring vet. Answered all my questions and was extremelly gentle with my kitten, especialyl when giving him vaccination. VERY impressed. Staff at front was also very kind and professional. My old vet..many times, id stand there and wait for them to get done dinging around to even acknowledge me. At MVH..greeted right away. (Me and my kitten, "Scamp") Took him back few weeks for declaw, neuter and chip. Dropped off in AM -- expecting to just hand him off...they took me in room, had CVT (Sue I believe) go over everything...gave me info and answered any pre-op questions. She called after precedure to let me know how he was. When I picked him up next day...same thing, answered all my questions -- and Sue called just now to check up on him. Never had a vet call after they had my payment. Price wise also.....theyre slightly more expensive then my old vet (bout 75 dollar diff) -- but not my much. But considering the treatment they gave my kitten AND me.....Im happy as heck to pay what I did. When I told my neighbor the cost for all that...she was shocked. They are def worth the cost. Ive been a cat lover for 20 years and Ive been to several vets. Hands down....Scamp will be going to MVH for life -- no question...as well as my other 2 cats. Thanks MVH. Rob S(and Scamp)

After visiting a vet who was big on guilt trips and pressure, it’s so refreshing to get real honest opinions and help from the vets and techs at MN vet hospital. I have been taking my cat here for years. Even though I don't live that close anymore (White Bear Lake), I still take her here because they do an excellent job. One time they even rescued my cat: she escaped outside and the vet herself picked her up and prevented her from being run over. This shows that they care about their animals. The grooming is particularly good there.

The doctors and technicians at MN Vet Hospital are caring, thoughtful and knowledgeable people. I have several years of pets, from Rabbits, cats, and dogs they have care for. They work efficiently and as cost effectively as possible. We have a dog who suffers from UT's. They are the only vet that has been able to help use deal with this expensive, reoccurring disease.

We recently brought our black lab mix to MN Vet Hospital for an emergency surgery. Needless to say, we were very worried and stressed out about the well being of our dog. The staff did an amazing job calming my nerves and allowing me to speak directly with Dr. Kate about the issues we were having. Dr. Kate is one of the best in the business!! Jeff, the administrator, will accommodate a clients' needs in any way possible. The prices are unbeatable, the staff is compassionate, and Dr. Kate will do whatever is needed (without running unnecessary tests to increase your bill) to ensure your pet has the quality care he/she deserves! I would HIGHLY recommend MVH to ALL pet owners!!! What a world of difference from previous experiences!

I was going to Minnesota Vet Hospital for my pets. I have seen hands on experience with all the vets and vet techs. The vets are very helpful and work together as a team to help diagnose any animal. I’ve always been happy with them. Always willing to go above and beyond for the owners and the pets. You gain a great relationship with them. I’ve recently learned at different Animal Hospital that not all Animal Hospitals work together as a team. I paid the price for that and so did my pet. If you gain a good relationship with the vets like I did with Minnesota Veterinary Hospital that’s good! It’s hard to find a good Animal Hospital like this one.

We have been taking our "kids" to Minnesota Veterinary Hospital for well over 10 years now and have nothing but the highest accolades for the people who work there and the suberb care they have always given our pets! The customer service is second to none- Jeff and Sandra are exceptional ! and the care and professionalism of all staff shows you makes you feel your beloved pet is getting the utmost of care from the minute you make your appointment to the time you enter the building for your visit. They also have boarding facilities which are affordable, a website that enables you to view your pets medical records and keep up to date on upcoming services needed and allows you to order food and meds with ease. Dr. Suzy and Dr. Amy always take the time to address your questions and concerns- explaining all procedures, tests and medical options and have even been known to follow up with us after some of our visits to check back and make sure our pets have been recovering and are okay. I would HIGHLY recommend MN Vet Hospital - THANKS for all you do !!!

Since the day we walked in with Bentley, we have loved every encounter. From the email reminders of when things are due to the professional and friendly staff that greets our dog by name every time we walk in the door. Granted, he only eats the treats at home, this place has been, by far, the easiest vet to work with and he loves watching the dogs play in the new play park out back. Thank you for the personalized welcome card and thank you for always treating us like family. It's a relief to know our dog will always be in good hands when it comes to the vet.

I started using this Vet Hospital when I got my Cocker spaniel about 9 years ago. He developed a fast cancer and passed pretty quickly about two years ago. The people at the clinic were so wonderful during a terribly stressful and sad situation. I adopted a new best friend this year and never thought twice as to where we would go. I trust them with my pets health...and I think I have seen most of the vets there. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this Clinic and all of the Veterinarian's.

The staff at MN Veterinary Hospital manage to pull of the difficult task of being completely professional while maintaining their compassion (and humor) and obvious dedication to their profession. Unlike some vet clinics, you never feel that you are being coerced into treatment your pet doesn't really need - the veterinarians are educators who will outline the pros and cons of all of your options in layman's terms, and they are matter-of-fact yet compassionate in the care and treatment they provide your pets and you. By that I mean that they are highly proficient at working with both animals and humans. I highly recommend the practitioners and all the staff at this gem of a vet clinic.

We have been taking our dogs to MVH for the past few years. Yes, my daughter works there, but that is one reason I know all the staff is wonderful. Whenever we have come in beyond the annual exam, they always explain all options with you, and work with you to provide what is best for your pet and your pocketbook. My 2 year old lab is a bit apprehensive when meeting new people. The staff at MVH were very patient with him and gained his trust before proceeding to the exam and vaccinations. By the time he was done, Bodie was quite friendly with Dr. Alms, even offering her a kiss.

We have been bringing our dogs there for about 7 years. Our dogs have no anxiety about going there. They practically pull us into the front door. The staff at MVH are amazing. They are caring, professional, and knowledgeable. They do what's best for your pet, not what's going to make them money. It's easy to get a convenient appointment (they are open Saturday mornings).

MVH is the best clinic I have found for my four legged fury children! Dr. Freed is excellent and when my dog was sick and needed care, MVH made me feel like I was their only client. They spoke with me at length on the phone, made follow up calls to check in, and answered all of my questions. Dr. Freed takes the time to talk through all of your questions/concerns and does a great job at explaining things in a way that is easy to understand. I have never felt rushed through a visit - even if I have a lot of questions, they listen and answer them all; again making me feel like their only client. Now that all of my fury children are healthy and happy they only go for their routine visits. The people at the front counter are always friendly and happy to see every animal that walks through the door. The price of the final bill is always a little bit of a shock, and as cheap as I wish the costs were, they are no more expensive than going to Banfield or any other clinic. I have never had any trouble getting an appointment, and most days I call, they are able to see me that same afternoon. Each and every staff there cares for each animal as if it was their own. When my dog was sick, I called first thing in the morning when they opened. I didn't have to wait at all or hope for a cancellation. I was told to bring her in right away and they would see her before surgeries started. When I had to leave her there for the day, I did not hesitate one bit because I knew she was in good hands. I don't think I would take my pets anywhere else! Another reviewer is correct in that sometimes you do have to wait a little longer than desired once you are taken into the exam room. However, this is a small price to pay for the excellent care that I know my pets are receiving. And hey, maybe it's because of what I mentioned before...they never make me feel like I am rushed through the exam. They take the time to answer all of your questions and address your concerns.

I found this vet because we moved from Saint Louis Park to Shoreview this summer. I can't say enough good things about this vet!! We have been through our fair share of vet hospitals, typically waiting a ridiculous amount of time for visits or even just a simple pill pickup. Minnesota Veterinary respects your time, remembers who you are (even over the phone) and the care they put into their time with you is second to none. I will never go anywhere else in the Twin Cities!

called a few weeks ago to set up appointments for my dogs to get updated on their shots, groomed and neutered. I haven't had time to get them in recently because I have a 2 and a 4 year old and my husband and I both work 60 hours a week. I spent 40 minutes on the phone with the guy who made my appointments, he was super nice and set up a series of 3 appointments to ensure everything would be brought up to date and taken care of. I called this morning to say i would be a few minutes late (running late due to dropping my kids off with grandpa specifically for these appointments) we live right down the road. I was rudely informed I would have to reschedule my first appointment as well as my grooming appointments because both my dogs needed a minimum of 3 seperate appointments to actually get up to date on their shots which meant they could not be groomed or even nuetered the following week (i am baffled as to why none of this was explained to me when i was assured i was making all the necessary appointments when i initially scheduled them). As i first time dog owner i am fault for being ignorant of the vaccine schedules but this was a HUGE waste of my time and the receptionist was condescending and unhelpful. Now I will be spending my morning rescheduling them at another veterinary office (which is a shame because this one is right down the street) but apparently they dont want my business anyways. Would not recommend.
