Northwood Animal Hospital is the best! Dr. Klabunde and Dr. Vannos, as well as the rest of the staff, are amazing! They are so caring and do everything they can to take care of my 2 “fur babies.” When I walk in the office, I feel like I’m surrounded by friends and family. They are also very helpful after hours. One of my dogs had pneumonia and wasn’t doing so well during the night. I called and left a message and they got back with me, immediately. They don’t try to push the “extras” on you either. They make sure you are aware of all of your options, but leave it up to you. I highly recommend Northwood!! It’s worth my drive across town and I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

The employees are simply excellent, I would be proud to have any of them work on my front desk. Since I took my two girls (cats) to Northwood, I have only had positive experiences. They were willing to work with me as the kittens were living in the woods and a bit wild. I had to live trap one and when I finally got her, I called and they took me in right away. When the girls were not friendly with one another, they gave me suggestions to try. When I have had problems with one being a full fledged food addict, we are working with that too. They are so friendly and know your pets. I have heard them talk to people and they know all about their pets. They are the kindest group of people with your pets and your and go the extra mile all the time. I go every month to have their nails trimmed and we have worked out a system that works so the one can calm down some and won't throw up. These all have helped me immensely with my girls and I am so glad I go to Northwood.

We were from out of state camping and had to take our Golden doodle in for stomach issues. They worked us in on a Saturday morning and provided excellent care. Every one was so nice and Dr. Durham even offered advice on a long term issue he has. Very reasonable from a cost perspective also.

While visiting from out of town our 4 month old puppy hurt his leg mid afternoon and needed to be seen by a vet. After calling around to 7 area clinics, turned away and told to go to the 24 hour emergency care clinic by each of them ($170 just for the exam) as no one had a vet available or open appointments for days, this clinic offered me a next day appointment at 8:30am. They were kind and friendly over the phone and were just as wonderful in person. They offered first in class service, did not over charge, and treated our little baby like he was their own. The hospital staff and veterinarians did an outstanding job and we are so grateful for the care we received as traveling through clients. Thank you for taking time to care for our baby.

Great staff and very friendly, if you can afford it. They charged me about $1,100 to tell me my dog had a belly ache and that she would be fine.

Estimated quill removal would be ~$600 for our pup (at normal working hours). Made me pay $300 before they would start working on him and then charged $617 more dollars when we picked him up. The bill says that 4, 15 min quill removal costs $488! They were unfeeling and lacked understanding. The absolutely worst experience I have ever dealt with.

Can't say I would recommend sending any of my page members to this veterinary clinic after hearing the horror story about a $2000 bill on a dog with a uterine infection. It is kind of sad when a vet just worries about money and doesn't give the owner options or any other solution. The owner finally found a vet to do the same surgery for $600.

I’ve been bringing my kitties here the past few years and earlier this week they came through for me in a huge way! One of my fur babies had a bad freak accident; where had I not been allowed to rush him in, he’d not be here today. They worked him in and kept me informed of all my options every step of the way and took the time to hear my questions. They were thorough about making sure I understood everything about his aftercare and I’m just so relieved that he was in such good hands. Very thankful!

We have been coming to Northwood since late July of 2011. For my brand new Boston Terrier puppy! They offer a wonderful puppy package. Since that time, I changed Vets and also bring my Pomeranian to Northwood. Excellent care, the staff are wonderful, my pets LOVE going there and can't contain their excitement in spite of shots, surgeries, cones of shame, etc.! I purchase treats and an accessory or two, and even purchased several handmade key-chains, and the proceeds go to animal charities. Thank you Northwood Animal Hospital.

Dr. Klabunde is amazing. She has and continues to treat our dog and both our cats. She explains all the examinations, procedures and medications she is doing in a manner we can understand. Her staff is extremely professional and kind. They follow up and check in on our pets after there is an issue. Dr. Klabunde and her staff are great we wouldn't even think about going anywhere else.
